As a first time visitor the atmosphere inside was impressive. Our reservation was at 7:30pm. We were not seated until after 8pm. Once we were seated our drinks did not arrive until 8:45pm and then our second round didn't come out until almost 10pm. With our second round of drinks the bartender forgot one of the ladies drinks who then had to wait another thirty minutes for her drink and then when that lasts drink was served our check was brought to us without asking for it. The vibes inside were great but the service was very poor. While the servers were excellent and knowledgeable the wait time was something that needs to be addressed. read more

That was honestly my only downside of the night. Let's talk drinks first because they were next-level. I ordered the Sheep's Clothing Strawberry Jalapeño Sour, and I'm still thinking about that presentation--cotton candy and gold carrot flakes?! So creative and honestly delicious. I also tried the Snowbird (fresh coconut mojito), which was super refreshing and gave total "perfect poolside drink" energy. And of course, had to try the Pumptini--such a fun, classic Vanderpump staple. For apps, we ordered the famous Goat Cheese Balls, and I totally get why everyone talks about them. The golden fried chèvre paired with the hatch chile hot honey and that Napa cabbage & pear slaw was such a good combo--sweet, savory, and a little spicy. Finally had dinner at Wolf by Vanderpump. The ambience is definitely a vibe. A lot of things to purchase as well if you're into collecting. There are 2 bar areas and ample seating. Definitely doesn't feel like a date night when hotel guests come to dinner in their pajamas but still fun. I will say for us the best dish were the the goat cheese balls from the appetizer list. They are fried and served with a sweet sauce on the side. They were a 4 out of 5 only because they were dry and hard to get the sauce on them. I ordered an athletic light because I don't drink and drive and it was very crisp!! I had a spring salad. It said it came with avocado but there wasn't any and the waitress sent it back but I still received it without the avocado so it was just a leafy green salad with very long slices of cucumber and tomato. It was a 1 out of 1. For dessert I had the brownie and ice cream and that was a 5 out of 5. If I ever went back, I'd go for a cocktail, maybe the cheeseboard and a different app and dessert. It's just one of those places that you can say, ya I've been there. The "Venue Admin Fee" of 3.50% is ridiculous and of course no one tells you about it. read more

We arrived around 9 pm, which is late but still well before their 12 am closing time, so expectations for service and food quality were still reasonable. The experience quickly fell apart. It took 45 minutes for five small goat cheese balls to arrive, which were pretty good but not worth the long wait. They were also out of frozen drinks, so I ordered the "gold water" margarita, which ended up being 95% tequila and practically undrinkable for someone who's not an alcoholic. Went here for my birthday dinner and it met and exceeded all my expectations. We were sat in a gorgeous corner booth and welcomed with a welcome shot. I had one of the best dining experiences in Scottsdale here! We had a reservation for a birthday and this was the first restaurant that acknowledged a birthday when I put it on the reservation... SHOCKING. Three different workers acknowledged, they even wrote a card for my friend so so cute and a birthday dessert. Huge thank you to Emily our server, 10/10 service and I loved that she also watched Vanderpump. The food was delicious and our waters never went empty. We added the chimichurri to our Ribeye, best decision. The ambiance and sunset were beautiful, so many small details I adored. It was so slow that our food came before our drinks. The goat cheese balls tasted like cream cheese. No sign of goat cheese. We ordered the beet salad with dressing on the side. (Beautiful presentation but missed the mark on taste). It came drenched in dressing. We told the server but she just shrugged it off. My friends ordered the sliders, the shrimp tacos and some truffle fries. I ordered the chicken. They said the sliders and tacos were fine. Their fries were cold and they could not taste truffle. My chicken was so overly salted that it was inedible. I let the server know and she said she would let the chef know. No one ever came out to apologize or offer to make it right. I was charged for something I could not eat. (I would have taken one properly seasoned to go). Clearly the waitstaff is not well trained. Drinks were good once we got them. I would sit at the bar and have drinks but I would not dine there. They have had enough time to work out the kinks so I'm assuming this is the best they can do. Too bad. read more

If you watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the aesthetic will feel very familiar. The decor, lighting, and overall vibe are beautiful and definitely one of the highlights. Service was also very good. The staff was friendly and attentive, and overall I felt well taken care of. The food, however, was underwhelming and took quite a while to come out. We tried a burger with fries, a Caesar salad with a parmesan crisp, and some appetizers. Nothing was bad, but nothing really stood out either. It tasted like food you could get at many other restaurants in Scottsdale, so it didn't feel particularly special. The cocktails were the standout. The drinks were beautifully presented and very enjoyable definitely something I'd recommend ordering if you visit. Overall I'd give it 3 out of 5 stars. One of our friends sent this restaurant in the group chat and two of us are vanderpump fans. Since my time in AZ is limited, I always pick new and different restaurants for us to go to. We had very high expectations for this place and we left more than satisfied. We tried a bunch apps (I forgot to take a picture of the wolf bread, which was everyone's favorite). The drinks were all different and fun, and the main courses were the icing on top. We were shocked at how well the menu was made. Someone in the group ordered the fish and chips and my BIL's dad told us how back in Buffalo, NY there was a small dive bar that had the best fish and chips he's ever had. They now live in CA and haven't been able to find a place that was similar. He said Wolf had that nostalgic flavor he had been missing for years. We all left stuffed and in awe that the restaurant isn't just a pretty place with a well known name, it lives up to the hype. Every single person working at this restaurant was amazing. They know how to treat their customers and make everyone feel special. Our waitress Amy was such a joy and made us all laugh with her quirkiness. Thought perhaps, we can celebrate my daughter's 30th. Stopped in at 3:30 to show my other daughter the restaurant, and wow horrible experience. Hostesses were very busy chatting with each instead of welcoming us in. We sat ourselves at the bar closest to entrance . I didn't realize how long the bar was cuz it's separated by mirrored walls. Good/bad..,makes it hard for staff to see the customers?? We didn't see any staff so we went to the center bar where there were 4 ppl with drinks. A staff not in uniform comes directly in front of us doing something. She didn't acknowledge us at all!!! No "hello, someone will be with you". She did her thing and left. 3 of 4 ppl left and still crickets. I mean no other customer except the one guy with a laptop at the end of the bar. Finally , a bartender shows up. Not the friendliest greeting, just a matter of fact. We got drinks & app but had to request small plates from the bar back, Seth. Seth was actually the friendliest staff there. I'm so glad we are NOT celebrating our daughter's birthday there. I don't care how beautiful the place is. Why would anyone want to go pay for bad service??!!! Train your ppl to actually be kind, welcoming and provide good service. Highly do NOT recommend. There's too many good restaurants with good service to choose from here. read more

When the three of us were finally taken to our table, it was pretty obvious it was set for two. Two of us had regular chairs... and I was perched on what can only be described as a decorative foot stool. Humbling, to say the least. Now for drinks. It's a Vanderpump restaurant -- of course we're ordering Pumptinis. Except... strike three. No Pumptinis available. The audacity. The heartbreak. The scandal. On to appetizers. "May we have some bread?" Nope. No bread. A restaurant being out of bread feels chaotic. Main course time: The Wagyu slider was cooked as ordered and had good flavor -- solid. However, the bacon was... stretchy? I don't know how else to describe it, but bacon should not require effort. We ordered truffle fries and wings and asked for ranch. "Yeah... we're out of ranch." At this point we were starting to feel personally victimized. Now for the redemption arc: The mac & cheese was excellent. The truffle fries and wings had great flavor. The drinks we were able to order were very good. And if you're seated in the right spot, the view is absolutely spectacular. So here we are. Slightly disappointed but not defeated. After our initial experience and review, the GM Steve reached out immediately and asked us to come back to make up for it. We went back tonight and had a 180 experience. Our server, Sarah, was phenomenal and was extremely attentive. Our water and drinks were always filled and our food was all served at once, hot, and delicious. Steve came by our table several times to ensure we were happy, and it more than made up for our lackluster experience the first time. The entire staff was on top of things, and it seems Steve has really turned the restaurant around. When you're spending this kind of money on a meal, you expect near perfection, and this just wasn't it. The goat cheese balls were okay, but definitely not worthy of being called "famous." The drinks, I will say, were the highlight--beautiful presentation and genuinely delicious. But that's where the excitement ended. The food itself was underwhelming. The chicken was completely smothered in sauce, to the point where you couldn't really enjoy the dish. The truffle fries had no truffle flavor at all, which was disappointing. The Chilean sea bass tasted good, not great, but the presentation was honestly pretty unappealing. And the stone fruit cobbler? Completely lacking in flavor. Our bill, with tip, came out to over $500, for 4 people which made the experience even harder to justify. For that price, I expect an exceptional meal from start to finish--and Scottsdale has plenty of places that deliver exactly that. Honestly, I've had far better meals for much less. To be fair, our first and only experience was their Easter brunch buffet. For a restaurant that's only been open for four months to take on this holiday was brave. The restaurant itself is beautiful, elegant as expected. Great views, beautiful bar. Really top notch. The food was "buffet good." I'm not a huge fan of the serve-yourself experience, but for certain holidays buffet dining is the default option. By our 12:30 seating they had already begun to run out of some items. Not unusual. The carving station meats were well past their prime, with just the end cuts remaining. The dessert station was underwhelming, mostly breakfast danish. They ran out of macarons which we were all looking forward to. They seemed to have trouble keeping the sauces and condiments stocked, and could have used some sauce ramekins for serving. That aside, the food was really good. Shrimp the size of a baby's foot, plentiful crab legs, and crunchy but moist fried chicken were some of the favs. The omelette station was good, but the chef lacked a little finesse, turning out choppy but great tasting eggs. As a surprise to commemorate the start of my 50th birthday month, yes I said month, one of my really good friends in Phoenix remembered that I mentioned how much I loved reality TV and Vanderpump and all its affiliates being one of them so... Earlier in the week he suggested to me to be dressed on Sunday. "I'm coming to get you at 6p." Suffice it say, we drove and drove and drove and I tried to figure out where he was taking me and I passed all of the usual staples on our way from downtown PHX, and was surprised that we came upon Wolf. I have been wanting to come here since the day it opened and I couldn't believe this is how I was starting off my birthday month. So, already the bar was set high and I was super excited to get inside to start. Decor is gorgeous! Classic Vanderpump look, very reminiscent of the many other Vanderpump restaurants as I've been to just about all of them and that means all over the world. This was gorgeous. The giant retracted window in one of the dining areas where you could look out into the sunset and the mountains was divine, but also the long bar, the seating, the different types of chairs, the chandeliers the decor was just beautiful... a wonderful combination of hard metals and soft fluffy furry animal skins (is the best way I can think to describe it). The lighting was gorgeous. It was just super sexy. My friend made a reservation to sit at a table, but I love sitting at a bar so to the bar we went as they found seats for us. Our bartender was super welcoming lovely and I love beautiful staff. I hate to say it, but I just love eating and staring at beautiful people so this was perfect. We were presented with menus which again were gorgeous. I went for my classic slightly dirty martini, my friend, he went for his classic espresso martini, and both drinks were made to perfection. We really didn't even need another one because this one really hit the spot but what the hell, we went for another one while we waited. We ordered the tuna tacos, which were unbelievable. My friend never eats raw fish and he's never had this before, but I made him and he ate it as a gift for my birthday, and we still cannot stop talking about how perfectly balanced these tuna tacos were. I mean absolutely delicious. The little fried shells were so tender and soft. You could tell they were fresh. They weren't hard, which sometimes ruins the balance between chilled soft tuna, and what it's being held in. I mean, the accoutrements just settled in beautifully. Our entrées weren't anything exciting to talk about as they came both with the same side dishes, which in my opinion is a little bit lazy of a new chef and I'll blame that on growing pains, but I would think that at a restaurant of this stature, each protein/main dish would be curated with a beautiful specific side dish option with it, but they both had some sort of fanned out, baked potato slice fin-type decorative potato. I don't know what you call it... and a vegetable. I had the sea bass and my friend, he had the filet mignon. They were both satisfactory meals. Nothing to write home about but good nonetheless, we ate it. The real Star here was the tuna appetizer, the service, the drinks and just the beautiful staff. Everyone was so kind to us. They even sent me a wonderful dessert for free. I'm assuming it was for free because they had forgot to tell us that the kitchen had closed so in all actuality, we weren't even supposed to receive the opportunity to order dessert, but as they did not advise us the kitchen had closed, they were able to muster up a dessert for my birthday and brought it out. And quite honestly, it was worth all the trouble to argue for - this thing was Dee-lush-US!! I won't even spoil the joy of what this dessert was, but here's what I will say... The first chance you get you have to go here. It is an experience for the senses. I would have every person I know come by here, but most importantly, the tuna taco appetizer, the cocktails, and the dessert were to die for. The staff, gorgeous to look at and beautiful, and just so lovely to us. We had a fantastic time. We had great conversations with everyone that worked there and found the place to be beautiful. Drinks are on the higher priced side, but very tasty. Had to try the famous Pumptini. Amazing views of Camelback Mountain. Friendly staff. Emily was an absolutely amazing server. She took great care of our table of seven. She was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient which certainly added to our experience. The restaurant itself is well maintained and comfortable. It is filled with decor from top to bottom and wall to wall. If you are a minimalist, be prepared to catch your breath. All parties generally liked the food but we had a couple of colleagues that had to wait quite some time for their dinners. One was because she asked for no cheese on her burger and of course it came out with cheese. And the other was an order of bbq wings that just didn't make their way to the table. They did try to make it right by bringing a complimentary desert to the table so they get credit for that. The service really was magnificent. read more

Another masterpiece built by Lisa and her team! We had a beautiful experience with Kelsey!!! She was attentive, warm, and so personable with us! I put a note in our reservation that we were celebrating our upcoming wedding and we were made to feel so special!!! Come here with your love, loved ones, or your mistress ;) Will definitely be back and will be asking to sit in Kelsey's section! We made reservations over a month ago and we were so excited to dine at Wolf. We had reservations for 7pm on a Saturday. The restaurant is stunning. Every inch. We were sat right away and immediately asked what type of water we'd like and were served. The service the entire evening was great. Gabby took really good care of us and gave us her honest thoughts about food/drink choices, which I appreciated. To drink I had the Wolf in Sheep's Clothing. It's SPICY but it also has cotton candy with 24k gold flakes and I couldn't pass up ordering it. It was beautiful and fun but man it'll hit ya right in the chest. My friend's husband ordered the Smokey Old Fashioned. The waitress who brought it from the bar made a big show out of the presentation, which was fun and added to our experience. We ordered a few different appetizers: Goat Cheese Balls, Crabcake Hushpuppies, Wolf Bread and the Wagu Sliders. I'd order all of them again but let me tell you I think that might be the best bread I've ever put in my mouth and I've eaten a lot of bread!! The Goat Cheese Balls were also phenomenal and at Gabbys recommendation eat with a bit of the slaw that comes on the plate. Totally different flavor experience. They are rich but the vinegar in the slaw takes it all next level. For my entree I had the burger, which you may think why would I order a burger at a place like this? Because like nothing here this isn't your average burger. The wagu patties melt in your mouth, pickles 2 ways and tabasco crunchy onions made this burger 10/10. The fries are really flavorful, as well. Also at the table was ordered Sea Bass, bolognese, salmon, shrimp tacos and the fried fish. Everyone loved their food BUT the tacos. Definitely missed the mark for my friend. She commented the tortillas were raw but somehow hard, the shrimp was cold and it lacked flavor. For dessert we had the churro basket, which was perfect for a crowd. I think there were 8 good sized churros served with caramel, chocolate sauce and bananas. They were good. I really was so excited about dining here. I'm a Vanderpump fan and Lisa did not disappoint. The restaurant also has their own small pool area w/ bar that is sure to be packed soon. The 8th floor of the hotel has Camelback Veranda, which is also a bar area with gorgeous views of Camelback Mountain. We visited before our dinner to catch the sunset and after to see the city lights. There was a live band playing, lots of comfortable seating and great vibes. read more

Excellent food, great atmosphere. The prices are not too bad at all The drinks are fabulous and the service is very very invitive. Kenzie was taking care of me and she was awesome. We had such an incredible experience at Wolf! The restaurant itself is absolutely gorgeous -- the ambiance is stunning with a beautiful view on the 7th floor, upscale, and thoughtfully designed. It's the kind of place that feels special the moment you walk in. The food? Amazing. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. You can truly tell the kitchen takes pride in what they serve. And Sabrina made our night even better. She was attentive, warm, knowledgeable, and made us feel completely taken care of without ever being overbearing. Her service was seamless and elevated the entire experience. She is a sweetheart!! Highly recommend asking for Sabrina when you go -- and definitely don't skip on trying multiple dishes because everything was delicious! We'll absolutely be back. read more
