Beautiful, moody and industrial. I love the vibe they've created at Wolfsglen. We came in with a group of 8 and had a wonderful dinner. We ordered family style and had the mushroom arancini, bone marrow pastrami, all the pastas (but asked for it gluten free bc we had someone with Celiac's), the ribeye and the roast chicken. The standouts were the bone marrow pastrami (must order!!!!) and the ribeye. I wish they had a better option for GF pasta. They only had rotini that was overcooked so the texture was very bleh. Since we asked for GF I can't say anything bad about it. I remember the sauces being good. We all tried a number of the cocktails they offered and everyone enjoyed their drinks. I loved their beautiful glassware. Our waiter was absolutely fantastic and happened to see a photo of my very large dog on my phone and he wrapped up the ribeye bone for him. We got a bit rowdy by the end of the night because it was a reunion and we started taking tequila shots but they were gracious and patient with us even as we closed them out for the night. The spicy aioli was delicious, too. All their beef is from Creekstone Farms (that means it's halal!) We asked our waitress a million times to confirm their only supplier for the beef is Creekstone, and she confirmed. She was also super sweet; I wish I remembered her name to shout her out. Thanks for the great service! Hanger steak, cooked medium well. 8/10 I prefer medium, but I compromised for my friend. It was still juicy and tender even though it was almost well done. I liked the citrus-ey chimichurri sauce on top; they paired well together. Burger without the bacon. 7.5/10 Although it looked a little dry, the meat was cooked well. The bun was nice and soft and there was a good amount of sauce inside. There is free parking at the Broxton lot for the first two hours. It's dim inside, with inviting evening lighting choices, from the dimmable table lamps to the pink design lit up around the border of the bar. You can get a reservation on OpenTable, and there's cheaper parking available at the meters if you don't want to park in the lot next door. For an appetizer, you absolutely need to order the Baja Sea Bass Ceviche ($24) that comes with passion fruit & aji amarillo sauce, pickled cherries, tomatoes, micro cilantro, and a side of well-seasoned tortilla chips for scooping. The citrusy sweetness from the passion fruit pairs perfectly with the sea bass, and I will definitely be re-ordering this every time I dine here. Although we were expecting something more substantial, the Bone Marrow & Wagyu Pastrami ($27) is a flavorful savory appetizer for meat-lovers. The meat comes piled on top of the bone, along with grain mustard, capers, shallots, and mushrooms, accompanied by sourdough bread on the side. We came here for the pasta (they have gluten free noodles!) but unfortunately all of their pasta dishes contain dairy that can't be removed, including the pasta menu items that don't list cheese. Hopefully they update their menus soon, because we ordered the Bolognese ($27) with the 7 hour braised meat sauce given that I'm a lactose-intolerant carnivore and it was the only pasta that didn't list parmesan as an ingredient. Not only did it come out covered in cheese, but they couldn't re-make it dairy free because they pre-mix cheese in the sauce. I'd really appreciate it if they tried making a dairy free meat sauce, as I'm sure other lactose intolerant folks would as well. I was overcharged by a few dollars for the wine I ordered, and when I brought it up to the server he did adjust my bill and he let me know the menu had it listed at the incorrect price. Here's my super biased review, because how much I love their spicy penne totally skews how I feel about this place overall lol. I've been here countless times since I take many trips in the area for work so this is an easy option due to their accessible menu and creative bar options. By far what I look forward to here is the spicy penne - their pasta is homemade and it shows. I always crave this dish when I visit and the sauce is absolutely divine. It's the kind of stuff you want to smear more bread in just to avoid wasting the sauce. Other dishes I've enjoyed include their steak options, their caesar salad and also their fries are excellent. The calamari was also good. The drinks here are also pretty stiff. Get ready to get woozy if you feel like you want to hit up some of their nice cocktails. They also serve up some real generous shots, so get ready to party. The service was ok. Sometimes it was solid, at times it was inattentive. But generally speaking it was fine. Was very impressed with this new restaurant in the heart of Westwood. Came here with my my 9/6 year olds for a "family dinner" and was a little nervous going in since LA is not necessarily known for the best accommodations for couples eating with their crazy kids. The staff was very friendly to them and asked them what the enjoyed about their day. They were able to make some really good pasta for my picky son. We felt welcome and included here. For the adults, the food here is excellent. I had a special menu item Yellowtail Carpaccio that was delicious, fresh, perfectly flavored. The pork chop is a must order and has a cream/Japanese whisky sauce. The chop was perfectly cooked, as you can see in the picture. Pork chops are difficult to consistently execute in a kitchen, and so anytime I have a pork chop like this, it's a memory that lasts. Highly recommend. I had a spicy mezcal drink and a French Bordeaux that went well with my pork chop. I highly recommend this restaurant for singles in West LA who want good food at a reasonable price point, couples/dates, group of friends, and couples with crazy kids like me. read more

I was craving a Steak Tartare so i was looking through Yelp and found this amazing restaurant in Westwood! The food was great, affordable and good portion. The Steak Tartare was one of the best in town for sure. I wanted two; but, we went a little late and they actually just ran out. The Salmon had a good balance of veggies, the mushroom arancini reminded me of some nice fried rice cheese balls (don't think there's actual cheese inside), oh and the cocktails were delicious with a good buzz! This restaurant has a lot of space and would be a great space for any corporate events or any buyout style events. My sister and I were walking around Westwood Village, after seeing a great play at Geffen Theater. We were going to a taco place, across the street from Wolfsglen, which turned out to be fast foodie. We wanted a cool comfortable place that would serve us, so we walked across the street and were seated immediately. They got much busier later. We hit the sweet spot between lunch and dinner. Then we had the shwarma, which was the perfect size and was tastier than all the shwarma I've had, which is crazy since I live in Glendale, which has a lot of shwarma. It was so tender, juicy and literally melts in your mouth. Very interested in knowing their recipe. Their fries are thin and crispy and addicting. Their steak is so tender and medium rare perfection. Broccolini is a vegetable and not usually in my diet, but they're made very well and I enjoyed them. Salads are seasoned with a kick and not your ordinary dressings. My husband and I came here for dinner a few Sunday evenings ago and were really excited to try the menu and the craft cocktails. We ordered the bone marrow dish along with a few cocktails and the Brussels sprouts and fries. While everything was really delicious... our server forgot to put in the order for the bone marrow and when 45 minutes had passed and we asked he realized he had not put in the order to the kitchen. He then assured us he'd comp the item but then seemed to think twice and backtracked and offered us another cocktail instead. Since we were driving we politely declined and continued to wait for our bone marrow. When the check finally arrived, nothing was comped and we brought it to our servers attention. He then proceeded to take the fries off of the check... the cheapest item on the bill. While the food was great, we ended up waiting quite a while to receive any of our dishes and our waiter seemed to make promises to make up for the issue without planning on keeping them. We also found it interesting that the table next us was also speaking to a manager about a time when they had come before and been charged twice for a bottle of wine. Wolfsglen is a needed addition to the Westwood area. I'm not very familiar with this area, but I have been around recently and noticed that the drinking options are either chains like Rocco's and Barneys, Broxton Brewery, but not a cocktail place for celebrating, that's open later. Apparently this place used to be Fellow, but I only know it for the rebrand. I do like the open space. The restaurant is two levels, so there was an upper level for a fire dancer. The cocktails were very nice, we got a seat at the bar on a weekday - no problem. The bartenders are really knowledgeable and friendly. This restaurant was recommended by a friend who dined here a few years ago. She was impressed with their pasta bolognese dish so I decided to give it a try. Couldn't decide on what to order so I looked at photos on this platform. The Burrata Salad looked fresh and exquisite and the Pan Roasted Pork Chop looked amazing. We ordered both dishes along with the pasta bolognese. Unfortunately, my Burrata salad looked nothing like the photos or was as described on their menus which, reads "winter citrus, crispy capers, calabrian chili vinaigrette, toasted baguette". There was no baguette, no citrus anything, and no fruit. I was served a blend of soggy roasted yellow squash and sweet potato, with toasted sesame seeds, on top of something that looked and tasted like cottage cheese... but mostly likely the remains of whatever was left at the bottom of their Burrata storage container (see photo). Seems like they might make recipes up as they go. The same thing happened with my Roasted Pork Chop dish. Menu described salsa verde and apples, website menu describes togarashi-whiskey glaze, charred cabbage. My dish was very different. I was served a very dry stiff pork chop with a curry type seasoning, on a bed of olive oil and pesto. As for the pasta bolognese... my friend loved it so thankfully, that one was a winner! The restaurant may want to think about updating their dish/menu descriptions (printed and on their website), for consistency and accuracy, so that us consumers know what we're going to get. I will not be returning nor do I recommend... unless you want to give their pasta bolognese a shot! read more

There's like 10-15 tables, and a cool bar section too. Looks great for all types of dinners, whether a date, family, friends night out. All kinds of people eating here. Make a reservation if you come during prime time. It gets busy, but the service was still pretty good. Not too loud, maybe like a 6-7/10 at worst. We got the Calamari and Brussels Sprouts for apps. Solid orders, enough for 4-5 people. The Calamari doesn't come with a shareable sauce, but it has lemon. The Brussels were delicious. I Think Piccadilly in Culver City does them better tho ;) But the Brussels, came in its savory balsamic(?) sauce with some crispy cheese on top, perfectly cooked with good texture. We all got different entrees. I got the tagliatelle bolognese, the pasta was slightly over cooked, but the sauce and pasta overall were solid. The steak and frites looks good, more like a straight up carnivore meal. The Cesar salad looks well dressed, maybe a little too much for people? I love it with the amount of dressing it had, but you might opt for 20-30% less. Someone got a chicken dinner option w mushrooms. Looked pretty solid. I think the other person got an ahi tuna thing. No one was disappointed I'll tell you that! Parking is on the street, or go to the parking lot up the street close to the Trader Joe's. I recommend the lot, it's $10 flat rate after 6:00PM. Otherwise, you might end up paying $20+ to park there. Definitely worth it for dinner. Bill was close to $400 for 5. Everyone got beer, few refills, some apps, and entrees. No dessert read more

He opened a separate section of the restaurant just for our group, let us pick the music, and created such a relaxed and welcoming vibe--it truly felt like a reward at the end of a long day. Now let's talk food: Brussel sprouts? 10/10. Perfectly crispy and flavorful--honestly one of the best I've ever had. Mushroom arancini had my coworkers raving. Creamy, crispy, and comforting. The smash burger? Perfection. Juicy with a hint of sweetness and a spicy kick that kept every bite interesting. Fried calamari was crispy and fresh, not greasy at all. The pizza? Absolutely delicious. And the Caesar salad was just right--nice and crisp with the perfect amount of dressing. Simple but done really well. The drinks were not only adorable but also super tasty. They clearly put care into presentation and flavor. Baran and the team made us feel truly taken care of. It's rare to find that kind of service paired with such outstanding food and drinks. I dined here on Saturday and had such an excellent experience. I made reservations for opening time and I was able to enjoy a long dinner. Service by all staff was impeccable. The bass was very unique as it was nestled in a coconut soup. Somehow we had room for dessert and we tried the Chocolate Bomb and Wine poached pear. The chocolate bomb had many components: velvety chocolate, crispy katari, creamy mousse. It was so decadent! The pears were on the slighter side and yet they were so flavorful!
