    Tuck Burger

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Very cute place, the book decor is pretty awesome[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], eventhough, you may not be going into the theater you can still dine here. I do wish they had a flavored creamer for the coffee. Parking is alil tricky and pricy. Food is excellent and service is great. A friend and I shared the short rib grilled cheese and that was full of flavor! would have liked more fries though :) and my other friend enjoyed her burger.

Hands down the presentation of each plate is thought out. We start with crispy shrimp roll appetizer the roll is cook too crispy but the shrimp is not. The bolognese is not well seasoned lacks flavor. The steak frites is so rubbery I can't even cut it with knife while the fries is soggy. The salmon is fine. Came here on a weekend so service is quick. Our server is attentive to all our needs. He even gives recommendations. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is full of aesthetics from the wall of books art decor, wall art frames adorn walls and fancy chandeliers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

As a Bruin alum with double Bruin kids there now, how have I never been here before?? We've been missing out! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Terrific service, tasty food and fun ambiance![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Restaurant isn't visible from the street but well worth finding the hidden gem![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We tried it out to use my Amex Resy credit and didn't expect anything but we loved it & will certainly return with or without the Amex Resy lol!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I had the best time catching up with my best friends here![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was excellent. I ordered the salmon which was cooked to perfection. The sauce was tasty, but heavy. The side of fried potatoes that came with my entree were underwhelming and really heavy as well; I kind of wish they offered more options for side dishes to compliment our entree. The mini ice cream sandwiches are super delicious though, highly highly recommend this dessert!

Open on Thanksgiving and really grateful for the service and place to share with family and friends. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Indoor and outdoor space and environment was pretty cool as it was attached to the theatre.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]However, they blasted Wicked at volume 7/10 (not background music) for the entire 2 hours we were there. I think we got one song as a break...[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was unfortunately just ok. $70 for just ok food is rough. Understandably the holiday tax. They ran out of mashed potatos, didn't have signs of what was in each dish - besides the name of the dish. I'd love to try food outside of the Thanksgiving buffet.

The Tuck Room was a last minute dinner venture for me and some friends to branch out from our Culver City bubble. Not too far of a journey, we found it quite easily and surprised to find is attached to the neighboring movie theater. The food was more gastropub food fare, drinks strong and service was super attentive and friendly. I would definitely consider coming back before catching a film but not necessarily a place I would venture back to for a stand alone meal. Definitely get their chicken wings and their take on a smokey Manhattan was delish!

Ever look through your drawers and find a gift card you didn't remember you had? Well, I had one for the Tuck Room and happened to be in the area, so I decided to put it to use. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The Tuck Room is a nice place. The ambiance is pleasant, bordering on upscale, but not snooty.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's located pretty much in the same "room" as the iPic theaters, so you could easily do dinner and a movie in the same place if you wanted to. I was put off by the service. I sat at the bar and was pretty much ignored the whole time. I had to ask for everything...a menu, if I could order, if I could pay, etc. It's not like they were slammed either. They seemed nice enough, but just didn't seem to be in much of a mood for providing good service. They didn't even bother to pick up my empty plates when I was done eating. It's the kind of service where I felt bad for leaving a tip because they didn't deserve it, but I left a 20% tip anyway. I had the Tuck Burger. $21. It's a big juicy 1/2 pound burger. It's messy in a good way, but it doesn't have much flavor. It was cooked to a perfect medium rare, just like I asked. Allegedly, it has guacamole, onion strings, and some other things on it but whatever they decided to put on it, the toppings were very sparse except for the lettuce. It would have helped a lot to have the toppings they listed to overcome the bland flavor of the hamburger. The burger needed some seasoning, too. Based on the description, it sounded great. I had no idea it had guac on it. If it did, it was spread paper-thin. It is a big burger, so that part is true! I didn't send it back, and they never even came to check on it until fifteen minutes after it was served. I figured, what's the use? It came with fries. They were soggy. Waaah!! The gift card took some of the sting out of a mediocre experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a pleasant environment if you want a quiet place to have a drink before or after the movie.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The people who work for the iPic theater are super nice. I will probably give the iPic a try sometime. One and done for the Tuck Room, though.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This adorable restaurant boasts stunning decor[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], delicious food, and friendly service. It's conveniently located just outside of Westwood. If you're ever in the mood for a good and satisfying meal, I highly recommend this place.

Service was good, attentive but not too overbearing, [[HIGHLIGHT]]loved the ambiance it was very chill vibes, lots of art there's another book wall with an elephant pained on (couldn't get a picture there were people sitting next to it) lots of animal art[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], food was good Lomo saltado (fall menu) was very tasteful, delicious 10/10 would get again Salmon was cooked beautifully, tasteful as well only thing I would've loved more dill cream &less black rice but over all good dish 8.5/10 Duck meatballs were good, first time trying duck, but I wouldn't order the dish for myself 8/10 Short rib bao sliders were delicious you must dip them in the chili sauce (slightly in picture, not really, sorry) it just ties all the flavors together definitely would order again 10/10 Drinks were an ipa &something w. Tequila wasn't too strong, asked for it not too spicy bc it has jalapeño Overall experience 10/10 I would go back

    STEAK FRITES

This restaurant truly makes the most sense for a pre-movie cocktail and food. They checked to see what time our movie started to make sure we had enough time to dine. And even if you ran out of time, you are welcome to take your food and drinks to the theater with you! I ordered a Tito's martini with a twist, extra cold and it was delicious. And came out super fast! Every time we ordered a drink, it came back within a few minutes. As for food, I ordered the steak frites. I was expecting a more traditional French steak frites (sliced steak with a sauce and thin fries) but what I got instead was a hefty NY strip and fries. It was still good, just not what I was expecting. The fries came with ketchup, garlic aioli, and ranch (which I asked for). The garlic aioli was the best dip. The service was quick, helpful, but never intruding.

The food was pretty good. The steak was a steak and the pasta was pasta, it did have a very tasty sauce. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a cute place for a date night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I wish we did get seated inside but there was a private event we didn't know about.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was quick and kind and the food came out quickly. Parking is downstairs and you get it validated!

Came back recently. So much better now. For a second this place was turning bad. Service and food is once again superb again. Also, the service at the movies has gotten so much better. Can't wait to come back again.

Very classy and elevated experience at The Tuck Room. Elegant ambiance and attentive service. Drinks are superb. Both the steak and flatbread we ordered were delicious. If you're looking for a nice cocktail bar in Westwood, this is your place!

There is jazzy latin tinged music playing and it's just beautiful. So that's a winner. This place was inspired by Alice Waters, who was a main force in the California Cuisine farm to table movement. Her restaurant in Berkeley, Chez Panisse, was the most amazing restaurant in the East Bay when I went to Cal. This place is far different. But it's great on its own terms. The menu tonight is themed with a movie playing at the Hammer. So it's not the normal fare. But from what I understand, they do a different prix fix menu every night, in addition to their normal offerings. This meal was wonderful. The first course was a poblano chile filled with a walnut based stuffing. It was delicate and brilliant. It was also a dish from the movie that was served at a wedding and everyone fell in love. The main was a medley of different seafoods (scallops, shrimp, clams, and tilefish) with vegetables (hominy, garlic, avocado, onion, and chile) and a lovely broth that was deconstructed and wonderful. The dessert was just enough too. It seemed to be inspired by the wedding cake from an early scene in the movie. Really great. The service is perfect. The waitperson was friendly and helpful. The food was served well timed and the plates cleared efficiently, never rushed. It was a great meal. I loved this place and I'd come again. This series is movies about food. Everything we ordered was delicious, with the exception of the Korean aguachiles, which we probably could've skipped. We also tried the bluefin bibimbap, oysters, and the oh-so-tender short rib that practically melted in our mouths. But the most unforgettable dish was also the simplest: the Korean fried chicken. It wasn't necessarily something out of the ordinary, but it sure tasted like it. The perfect crisp, flavor, and seasoning had us eating every last piece right down to the bone. Our server also made the experience even better. She gave us some of the best recommendations and were incredibly attentive and friendly throughout the entire meal.
