These guys were amazing! We had a ton of stuff, lets put it this way I have been in my previous apartment for three years so the crap has piled up. We asked them if they thought that they could do it in the 3 hours it was estimated with three guys, they said they would absolutely do their best. They were running, i don't mean being quick, but literally RUNNING with our boxes to get the job done in time. It ended up taking just under 4 hours which was pretty impressive. They didn't take a break once. I won't use anyone else if we move again, and i certainly will recommend them to everyone! When moving all of our stuff in to the new place they even set up our beds and put the furniture where it needed to go. It cost 382 total split between two of us. I made a lot of mistakes preparing for this move. First, I underestimated how much stuff accumulates for a family of six over a four year period. I also forgot how much stuff our parents had been bringing out on each of their visits. Second, I suffered from "Mover's Mirage" - even though I had been packing for three weeks, it wasn't until I started moving stuff out to the front of the house that I realized just how much stuff I had - unpacked. Last, I waited until the last minute to book movers. I know, I know, but cut me some slack. Have you ever moved with four kids, two of whom are infants? (I'll be playing that baby card as often as I can) Factoring all of these issues, I was panicking the night before the move. There was no way all the stuff was going to get moved! There was no way it would happen within budget! There was no way the truck I got was big enough. No way this was going to go smoothly! Jaime and his crew showed up right on time and while things did NOT go within budget, and they did NOT get all of our belongings onto the truck, the crew could not have been more professional, efficient, and accomodating. They were not as careful as I would have liked. I would use Wolley Movers again, but I would definitely make sure that I did a better job packing and I would make sure to shrinkwrap and protect my belongings before the big day. read more

We have used Wolley Movers literally 4 times in the last 13 months as we got my son settled into 2 new apartments and moved from West Loop to East Loop and also from the suburbs to downtown. Fathers Day weekend (when it was really hot and humid) we had probably the BEST TEAM out of the last several moves. We had TIM, JOSE AND BRANDON. These guys worked very hard over a 7 hour move with multiple locations to drop things off including a final delivery at a storage unit. They were careful, well mannered and very professional the entire hot, sticky day. Although we have used Wolley multiple times, we did check around with other movers on pricing and these guys are still the best (despite a recent increase to $110 / hour for a 3 man team). We are pretty settled now with no planned moves for at least a year but if we do need a mover, we will call Wolley for sure! read more

Whooo boy, I'm moving in a week and just got my new address? Who the heck will be available on such short notice? I tried calling about 15 different companies, nearly all not able to accommodate my ridiculously short notice, but Wolley said they had one last slot at the perfect time. I had originally scheduled Midway but after finding their reviews (which didn't come up immediately when I searched movers on Yelp), I got terrified and cancelled them. I'm glad I went with Wolley. Reasonable rates, the 3 guys were friendly, and they showed up exactly on time. They did take longer than I expected and anticipated but ya know, so be it. Though I won't be unpacking the majority of our stuff into this temporary shoe box we're living in, it appears nothing got broken. We got the guys some beverages and my hubs also bought them some lunch to help keep them going, though they may have been pissed later as it was White Castle. I thought my upright freezer got busted so I sent them a non-angry email after a week of trying to figure out what was wrong and they offered to come take a look which is a good thing. I ended up figuring it out - turns out it's the house wiring that is the problem, so all is good, well, minus the weird wiring. Anyway, I'd definitely recommend them. Great experience. I was concerned they would spend a lot of time moving my two couches and disassembling my fancy dining table but they were quick and didn't break a single thing. I paid for 3.25 hours but they spent most of it driving from one side of the city to the other and then trying to turn into the alley. I didn't mind that since they cant control the size of the truck or size of alley. I was overall super impressed with how quickly they worked. Had i known they would've worked this quickly i wouldn't have spent the day prior moving "small stuff". I also was expecting to spend $900 but only spent about $600 with packaging and tipping the guys. Their prices really cant be beat! read more

I have used Wolley Movers 3 times over the past few years and they just keep getting better. Thanks to Robert and his amazing crew for doing such a great job as always. I was moving out of a 1 bedroom apartment, picking up items in my storage unit along the way and then moving into a new condo. At the very end I decided that my queen size bed was too big for the guest room and I asked Robert if they could take a few items back to storage and he kindly said no problem, just the hourly rate will apply. It added an additional hour to my original quote, however it was completely my fault and they were willing to accommodate my needs. Worst Movers Ever! STAY AWAY! Most of my furniture was broken during the move. They arrived 3.5 hours late. The movers were extremely rude and looked for ways to waste time. They often complained about their jobs as movers. I found myself doing a lot of furniture moving because they were so slow. They used high pressure sales tactics to force you to buy extra boxes and pay them more. They damaged lots furniture and walls, and their hands and truck we're very dirty. Their insurance forms were fake. They called my building manager a F**ing B when she asked them to wear masks and then they refused to wear masks that she gave them. Some of the movers randomly yelled loud strange phrases while working because they thought it was funny, but it just frightened the neighbors. They tried to take detours while driving to the new townhouse, so I had to continuously stop them on the road and keep them on track. They never finished. I had to go back and move things they didn't move. When they left, they hung out in the alley and were smoking weed (which upset my neighbors). When I called the management, they never called back after several attempts. Please stay away from these horrible people. BAD HORRIBLE AWFUL SCARY VERY NASTY! read more

These guys are super impressive. It was my first time moving in 8 years so I was a bit stressed about the whole experience but a friend recommended Wolley and they made it seamless and stress-free. The three guys showed up 5 minutes early and got to work right away. The foreman explained the process and any extra charges to the estimate, which were all reasonable, and before I knew it, boxes were being stacked four-high and carried on these guys' backs down two flights of stairs. My furniture was wrapped carefully, and everything was moved over without any damage. They made pleasant small talk and were really nice and even re-built my bed for me in the next apartment. i have used this company twice before this last move on July 15th. I moved from the city to the South Suburbs our estimate was for $800. The moved started great the movers were punctual and started working very fast they moved our bedrooms and living and dining room and arrived at our new home by approximately 4pm and left at 5 pm for a second load, they then showed up at 11pm drunk, they blamed traffic, also they then billed us for 14 hours at over $2000, also the police arrived to the scene because of neighbor complaints. I then tipped the mover 200 just so that they would get out of my new house, the next morning I awoke to more than 12 beer cans and other junk food spilled across the front of my new place. My wife called and made contact with Norman actual name is Wazeer who is the owner of the company. He said that he would credit us a couple of hours. They also padded the bill they added so many extra costs for example that they said they used $60 in tape, $42 in wardrobe box rental cardboard boxes that they put jackets in that they use with other customers, then $30 in bubble wrap, and the best of all $250 in shrink wrap. We were not advised about of any of these costs and I did pack the majority of all of my stuff in boxes. The Good: Their rates are reasonable, and I ended up paying exactly what they said I would--no hidden fees or extras. The Bad: They were three hours late. I called them 20 minutes after they were due to make sure they had my address. I was told by the office manager that they were running behind, and would arrive around 2:30PM. I was glad to be informed, but I wondered if they were going to bother to call me themselves to let me know. They eventually showed up at 4PM (I was scheduled for 1PM). To be fair, their lateness was mostly due to circumstances outside their control. The Good: They sent me an extra mover (a 3-man crew instead of 2 men) and didn't charge me for it, since they were running late and I told them I had to be done by 5PM. Once the movers arrived, they worked very quickly, and we were loaded up in no time. The Bad (or just Weird): One of the movers kept asking me if I smoked weed (I don't)...then if my roommate smoked weed (no, not to my knowledge), if I was allowed to smoke weed in my apartment (probably not), if I minded if he smoked weed in the van (huh?!)--I *think* it was a joke, and if I was stoned (no, definitely not!). These guys are the champs! Robs Crew came out. THey called to confirm the day before. Great prices, appt set for 9am. Rob called at 8:30am to say they were going to be 15 mins late. They showed up at 9:15am ready to roll. THey got right to work bustin but! Two guys started humping boxes (5 at a time) while Rob (the crew foreman) started shrikwrapping furniture. I had 12 boxes of records weighing 40 to 50lbs a piece and these guys were lugging 4 or 5 at a time with straps. Completely professional and worked thier tails off. The new apt I was moving into has some twisty turny stairs. So to get the couch upstairs, they lugged it up the fire escape. Instead of saying "oh man this is gonna suck" or complaining about having to go up the fire escape, Rob was like "oh hell yeah, this will be fun. I love a challenge!!" In short, great rates, professional service, well well worth the money! (make sure to have some cold waters ready and waiting for the guys at the very least. They definitely appreciate it read more

We've used Wolley for 2 office moves and 2 apartment/house moves. The office moves were probably their worst nightmares... and they were champions! tons of heavy boxes and old school heavy metal furniture on the first one. Even the hungover little guy (who needed a nap at lunch time) was not phased. Modern furniture with lots of parts to take apart and put back together on the second one. The AC went out at the new building towards the end of the move. Both moves in extreme heat and they remained super nice and very communicative. The apartment/house moves were super fast and no issues with scratches or breakage. Their pricing is cheap to average, never the most expensive. I have never found them to have hidden fees or bad quotes. Their quotes have always been right on. I will be using them again and recommend them highly. read more

My roommate and I were looking for a moving company to move us across a few neighborhoods. Neither of us had ever hired movers before, so we were a little bit hesitant to do so as we were worried about cost, reliability, and damages -- on top of the stress of everything else that comes with moving, we weren't sure where to start. But we are SO glad we did hire movers and SO glad we picked Wolley! From my initial quote request, Elizabeth was super quick to respond, provide a quote, and answer questions. On the day of the move (it was the most horrible, rainy weekend ever!), they were a little bit late - but they did keep me estimated on when they would actually arrive. Once the movers showed up, I was amazed at how speedy they were. Super friendly group of guys. Nothing broke or even got a tiny scratch. To our delight, they ended up costing quite a bit less than the expected quote due to their speediness (and we were also pretty prepared. I recommend boxing up as much as possible before they arrive). It was a really really great deal and so worth the time and energy saved. My boyfriend and I hired these guys for the second time a couple weeks ago. Three guys showed up at 9:00 am sharp and got started right away without any hesitation. They knew exactly what they were doing and had a great system set up which made for a timely and efficient move. Their strength and ability to carry multiple boxes at once was quite impressive as well. The move took exactly four and a half hours which is what they estimated. We tipped each guy $20, total $523 The only thing lacking was precaution with items marked "Fragile," but I can't see any other moving company doing as good of a job across the board as these guys. They do a solid job -- they're fast, efficient and reasonably priced. I've used them twice now and would use them again. The reason for 4 stars is that I don't think they're the most careful of movers. I saw some boxes marked 'FRAGILE - This side up" put in the van on their side, which made me a little nervous (plate glass picture frames that are fairly expensive). They broke a big piece of plate glass the first time they moved it, which was somewhat frustrating. They also didn't want to take my (mostly empty) propane tanks. I guess I get why they may not want to, but it was a little annoying. Overall thought, I definitely recommend them -- just make sure to pack carefully. They do their job quickly and at a good price (it was $100 less than last time I moved, and I moved more stuff much further). They accept credit cards for jobs over $400. read more

I found out about Wolley Movers through word of mouth and constant research online. After contacting several companies, I decided to give Wolley a try. I called them for a quote and I was taken care of right away. A friendly representative on the phone provided a competitive rate-much more affordable than I had anticipated. Further, the support staff from the office were very responsive and helpful in settling a schedule convenient for me. The customer service I was receiving and the fairly cheap rate I was quoted had convinced me to utilize their service. On the day of the move, the truck loaders were on premises at 11 am on the dot. They were very attentive and problem-solving. I was moving out of a compact/claustrophobic building and was worried my equipment would be damaged in the process. I will say first and foremost - I have alot of crap. Alot. More than one person should have. The BF had maybe 5 boxes - I had at least double maybe even triple that. And.... I HATE moving. I would rather swim in a tank of piranhas than have to move again anytime soon. Last week we used Wolleys to move from a townhouse to a fourth-floor walk up, and it made the dreadful process SO much easier. We were finished packing when they arrived and had everything organized so that they could move with the quickness, as time is money. We went with the three-man package and couldn't be happier. Sergio and his crew arrived 15 minutes late and apologized up and down the river and told us that our time wouldn't start until the truck was open and ready for some boxes. I will say that Sergio took a look at what needed to be packed, estimated that it would be 3.5 hours and got to work right away. It was amazing how hard and fast they worked - loading boxes and furniture on their back and walking up and down stairs. They didn't break or scratch a thing. We provided, water, Gatorade and red bull for all three men, tipped them well and they were so nice and gracious - so it did leave a sad little dent in our wallets. I would recommend Sergios crew for anyone moving within the city. Hopefully I wont be moving again any time soon , so I won't be needing Sergio, but if I do, he is the man to call! read more

Movers were on time and efficient with the amount of stuff we had (8hr quote done in 6hrs time). They were courteous and thorough and were helpful in alleviating a lot of my moving concerns. The next day after moving, our new neighbors (who we were meeting for the first time) accused us of stealing or damaging some pictures and frames that were hanging on their landing (it was of a special trip they took to Italy and it had significant sentimental value). We had no idea what had happened and felt awful. When taking out the garbage later that day, we found the smashed frame and pictures in one of the boxes that the movers were using to put the used shrinkwrap in. We returned the picture although it was slightly damaged after being shoved in a dumpster. This would have been a wholly positive experience, but the fact they damaged something and didn't tell anyone ruins any trust we had in them. read more

More fairly this would be 3.5 stars. After our original movers (Checkmate movers!) no showed the day before we were just glad to find someone who show up the next day. The Wolley crew arrived spot on time, but the knocks come because they were a little careless with banging furniture around, and because I watched in horror as a really rare poster print was smashed when the foreman threw a carpet roll on it while it was rolled up. They also took a solid hour and half longer than any crew that's moved our two-bedrooms worth of stuff. Part of that was traffic, but when they got near the end of the move-out and move-in there was a precipitous slow down. Plus, I over-tipped, but that was my fault. These guys were nice, they showed up, and the job was done, but when we move again, I'll likely look for another option. read more

Turned out last minute we could move same day and save $ so I called Wolley to see if they could unload same day vs. the next morning. They did it happily. Rob and his crew went above and beyond for me during my move, and came in under estimate; they were absolutely amazing and so, so friendly. My move was hyper local, as it was just around the block. Nevertheless, I have two gigantic couches that, by some miracle, I was able to haul up my narrow courtyard building stairs during my first move--I honestly didn't know if they'd be able to get them out. They were so efficient and quiet that I didn't even notice before they'd hauled both out of my current place. Everything was transported safely and quickly from a second floor courtyard to ANOTHER second floor courtyard, and I couldn't be happier. But now, the Above and Beyond portion of my review: Rob and his crew offered to take out my A/C unit for me at no extra charge, and also unloaded the van that my dad had driven down from the suburbs with extra furniture and miscellaneous things. They put everything they took apart back together, and honestly, I can't tell you how much Wolley helped me in terms of not only moving, but sanity. A few tips: these guys work so hard, and kindness goes a long way. Keep some waters on hand for them, and don't be afraid to tip well! Additionally, I highly recommend ordering plastic crates to do your packing. It's so nice for you, but makes it so much easier on your movers. tl;dr? Couldn't have been happier with Wolley Movers! We used them a few months ago and it was the easiest move we've ever had. We had trouble with people parking in front of our building that morning (even with the no street parking signs) and the driver somehow found a way to squeeze the truck in place without any delay or blocking the street. They were in and started loading up items immediately while we finished the paperwork. Original quote to move 3 bedrooms was 5.5 hours, and they finished it in 4 hours flat. I first used Wolley Movers two years ago (2019) and opted to hire them again last week (7/7/21). The latest crew - Alden, Jordan, Cristian, and Anthony - were all very nice, communicative, and careful with my things. I was impressed with how quickly they disassembled and wrapped all of the furniture. When we ran into complications at the new place, they even removed and replaced a few doors to try and make things fit. They had the best availability and price of all the places I shopped. "Pimp my move" Wolley sent three movers for our inter-city move. The lead guy looked and sounded like Xzibit, and another barely spoke any English and called himself "Nacho". X-to-the-Z helped us pack up and disassemble our furniture while the other two loaded their truck. We were VERY impressed with the attention they paid to our items - not once did we see a box or piece of furniture that wasn't picked up or set down with the utmost care. We took up five hours of their time, even though they initially estimated three. Even after a generous tip, they decided to round up to the nearest hour - hence the lack of a perfect score. I hired Wolley Movers for a move from a one bedroom apartment last month. There was a total of 5 pieces of furniture to move. Two of these pieces were significantly damaged in the move. The wood base of my new couch was cracked in half. Additionally, my headboard was cracked off the frame of the bed. The headboard and the frame are now in two separate pieces and cannot be reattached. The movers were very rough and careless with the boxes and furniture. I contacted Wolley to advise of the damage and sent in pictures. When I received a response, they offered a check of $50 for both pieces of furniture. This amount does not even come close to the cost to replace the headboard or the base of the couch. They didn't apologize or seem concerned at all that I had damaged furniture from their movers. It was basically take the $50 or leave it. On top of a terrible move, they also have terrible customer service. I will also add (this was mentioned in other reviews on here as well) that when their movers first arrived at my apartment on the day of the move, the price for the move was increased by $300 and the movers would not begin the move unless the price increase was agreed to. I am posting this review to warn others of what can happen with this company. read more

I called them on a Saturday morning trying to arrange a move just 5 hours later. Everyone at Wolley's was great, from the person who booked my time, to the guys who came to help me move. The guys showed up only a few minutes after the start time, but they were both very quick and attentive when wrapping glass pieces. We moved 1 bedroom worth of furniture from a storage place to my new apartment in about 2 hours, including driving time and for just under $300! I hired these guys for a move last weekend, a one-bedroom on the third floor to a three-bedroom on the third floor. Rob and his two guys (never got their names) were really good. They were fast, professional and got my move done within the three-hour minimum with 20 minutes to spare. It came out to about $325 for the three guys, and I brought it up to $400 total after the tip. Quite a deal if you ask me. And now for the most important part - damage: Happily, there was no damage to any of my furniture. They did put a small ding in a doorway of the new place, but nothing that can't be fixed easily. With stories I have heard from friends with other movers, one small superficial dent is as close to perfect as you are going to get. I will certainly hire them again for my next crew. Ask for Rob.
