I must have walked past this place a hundred times without even seeing it. Don't know what brought me in today but I'm so glad I've discovered it--truly outstanding. The service was warm and personable and the food was WAY better than I've learned to expect from an undecorated empty Chinese place. I had fried rice (delicious) and Broccoli Beef (even better!) with broccoli not just steam-cooked like every other Asian restaurant but lightly ROASTED. That subtle flavor of char elevated this dish above every broccoli-centric Asian meal I've ever had--and I've had a LOT of those. My server took care to check that I wanted fried rice plus a dish that came with white rice (I did) and suggested some ways I could save money by restructuring my order. My husband and I recently moved to Logan Square, and were in need of a go-to Chinese spot. We think this may be it!! We walked over last night, because as of yet, there is no website or online menu, so we needed to peruse the menu, which is extensive and includes Chinese selections and sushi. We were greeted by an immaculately kept restaurant, which although was not busy, had a steady stream of take-out customers. We ordered the General Tso's chicken, Egg Foo Young and Crab Rangoon and the owner let us know our food would be ready in 15 minutes. This gave us a chance to check out the arcade (what a fun discovery, and perfect for having a drink or playing pinball while you wait). 15 minutes later our food was ready, and the owner was so nice when we left! We walked out the door and both said at the same time "She called me (you) dear!" We got our food home and were very happy with the portion sizes, the quality, freshness and TASTE! The General Tso's was everything it should be - not swimming in too much sauce, just the right amount of spice and didn't taste or feel too heavy. The fresh broccoli was just the right bite size pieces with no stalks. My husband's Egg Foo Young was delicious and the Crab Rangoons were also tasty, but could have used an extra minute in the fryer. I upgraded to the fried rice with my entree, and it was fantastic and filled with fresh peas, carrots and onions. Overall we were extremely pleased with our meal and will be trying out their other dishes and sushi for sure. They do deliver, and hopefully they'll get a website or Facebook site up soon so their menu will be online for those of us who like to click to order! read more

3.5 rounded up to 4 I saw this place a few weeks back and made a mental note to check it out and true to form, forgot the name almost immediately. We've been struggling to find a go-to Chinese spot since we moved to Logan Square. We may have just found it. I go through great lengths at times to avoid talking to people, so the lack of a website and online ordering almost put me off. I put on my big girl pants and called to find out they did indeed deliver. We ordered shrimp with garlic sauce and the sweet and sour chicken. Where our experience loses points is order packaging. Calling it a hot mess is being kind. Garlic sauce got all over our containers, the plastic bag should've been tied off so nothing tipped when carried, a packet of soy sauce got stapled to the bag, but somehow didn't get all over, and we found a staple in my husband's chicken. So yeah, packaging F. The food itself was really good, the vegetables nice and crispy, the portions generous, and they didn't skimp on the shrimp. In spite of the delivery debacle, we would order again. I know it's a newer place, so I hope their packaging skills improve. UPDATE: Wonder Chop reached out to apologize about the packing of our order and offered a replacement of my husband's meal. We appreciated the offer and still intend to give them another shot next time we order in Chinese food. read more

I disagree with the eggrolls being the best... they were not as great as everyone raved about. It took me three days to finish the general tso's chicken. The lo mein was amazingly soft and flavorful. The vegetable tempura was hot and crispy, and the presentation of it was very nice! The aesthetics of the tempura got me excited! I will definitely order here again! read more

The food (pepper steak, general Tso's chicken, pork fried rice, chef's delight) was all flavorful and well prepared. One of my favorite Chinese places in Chicago. All of their food tastes fresh and is never greasy. I've sampled garlic shrimp/chicken, cashew chicken, Kung Pao Chicken and their Szechuan chicken and shrimp speciality dish. They use large shrimp which taste very fresh. Their chicken is great quality, never chewy. All of their dishes have a ton of veggies too which I love. Snow peas, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, onions, mushrooms, etc. Their portion size is generous and my husband and I always have leftovers when we order two large dishes. We haven't had their sushi in a while but it was always fresh and tasty. Simple sushi with fair prices to match. Finally- the people that run this place are awesome. They are always super friendly and accommodating when you call in your order. They typically quote 20 mins and the food is always ready to go. They also offer their own in house delivery for $5. Also much cleaner and well kept than the others. Sesame chicken was good. Not too saucy like some places tend to make it. Dumplings were very good and tasty. We ordered edamame, spicy tuna roll, dragon roll, and spider roll. By this point more customers had trickled in making it feel very cozy. The edamame was well portioned, we're use to the modest handful most restarants provide. The spicy tuna roll and spider roll were solid, very good but nothing spectacular. The dragon roll was amazing! The crab tasted so fresh and the tempura on the shrimp was beautifully crunchy and the perfect thickness. Easily the best dragon roll I have ever had! Now, most dinners around here will cost north of $50 for dinner for 2, and that's not even including drinks. The food here is your standard Americanized Chinese menu + some sushi, and the food is pretty solid. (I dont eat sushi, so I can only comment on the Chinese). Most dishes run in the $10-12 range, but the portions are huge. One entire + an appetizer will suffice for most couples, 2 entres and you will have leftovers.
