    Eggplant Parm

They were playing great rock and rap classics. Service was excellent! Our servicer was very attentive. We had rice balls as an app. My best friend had the eggplant parm and I had the Cacio E Pepe. It was very delicious! Will be coming back, I really enjoy the vibe here

Tiny Tinis, Huge Wait Times My partner and I visited Chickie's on a Thursday evening specifically for their "Tiny Tinis" special, the $10 mini espresso martinis they run from 4PM to 10PM. We arrived around 5:30 expecting a relaxed early-evening experience at what was a nearly empty restaurant. There was one mother with her two kids a few tables over and one other couple. That's it. Despite this, what followed was some of the most inattentive service I've experienced. We ordered the espresso martini special and our server came back three separate times over 15 minutes to confirm our order. Three times for one drink. Then we waited roughly 25 minutes, and I'm not exaggerating, just to receive it. There were 4-5 staff members working, and at one point we watched them finally start making drinks, but not ours. When the espresso martini did arrive, it was thoroughly mid. Nothing special, nothing memorable. For a promoted Thursday special that's clearly meant to draw people in, you'd think they'd have it dialed in and ready to go. Our food took about 45 minutes from the time we ordered. The chicken parm sandwich was actually good, with a nice stracciatella that elevated it, so I'll give credit there. The spicy rigatoni, on the other hand, was plain and lacked any real depth or heat despite the name. After we finished eating, we sat for around 20 minutes with our napkins on the table, clearly done, and not a single person came by to clear plates, offer boxes, or mention dessert. We had to seek someone out ourselves to order the tartufo. To top it all off, when the check came they charged us full price for the espresso martinis even though we explicitly ordered the Thursday Tiny Tini special. At that point I wasn't going to fight it because with the pace of service here, I figured I'd be there all night trying to get it corrected. The whole experience felt like we were invisible, which is hard to justify when the restaurant is basically empty during an off-peak hour with multiple staff on the floor. You can't blame a rush. There was no rush. There was just no service. The chicken parm saves this from being a complete loss, but we won't be coming back for Tiny Tinis anytime soon.

Idk what that meat flakes were in my wife's clam pasta Spicy rigatoni

Chickies with no boom. I'm sad to say that this place was highly disappointing. My family and I are staying in Jersey for the first time and this was the first restaurant we chose to go to. I gave it a 2 because the inside was nice and well lit and decorated but the food fell way below quality. My kids did like the mozz sticks, the pizza lacked flavor in the sauce, the clam pasta had a bad taste in it, the rigatoni was flavorless as well. Also my son said he asked the waitress for a refill when she passed by and she rolled her eyes. Meatballs were ok. They have 3 flavors of drinks. Coke, Diet Coke and ginger-ale. They were all flat. Pricing- would of been okay at $200 because we had 6 people but the waitress gave herself a nice 40$ gratuity for "large party" I wouldn't of called it a large party considering out of the 6 of us only 4 were kids lol. But she took advantage I suppose. I definitely would never come back again. $244 makes me sickies at Chickies.

Went to Chickie's with a friend and we really enjoyed the food. The meatballs were delicious but our favorite was the chicken parm with the spicy vodka sauce. It was outrageously delicious. It is pricey but the chicken parm is worth it. There was a lot of food and we took the rest home.

Great food, I got the basil pesto pasta and added a chicken cutlet. The cutlet was thin and crispy and it was the perfect amount of food. My table got meatball parm with spicy vodka sauce and chicken parm which were big servings good to share or for leftovers. Everything was 10/10 we'll be back.

This is the Fried Burrata I it's spicy vodka sauce. This is crack! So delicious

I came here on a Sunday with my daughter and we sat at the bar because it was too hot outside lol We tried the fried burrata with spicy vodka sauce let me tell you this was so delicious omg!!! I will be coming back just for this dish we also had the fried calamari. Will return to try some of the pasta dishes. The staff was professional but they could have been more engaging. The bartender did charge is full price on the second order of drinks I believe think she should have giving it as the brunch special because that was the menu we ordered from and I had ordered the drinks before 4 pm but whatever!

Came here twice and I think I enjoyed the food more the first time. We made a reservation and were seated timely upon arrival. The space is cozy and cute. For drinks we ordered a yo cuz and amalfi coast. I personally enjoyed the yo cuz more. For appetizer we got the fried burrata with vodka sauce and def recommend it. Tasted just like a mozzarella stick but with burrata so little more fresh. For entrees we ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich which we asked to be cut in thirds and was oddly proportioned but was quite yummy. Wish the sandwich would stay intact though as it's messy to eat. We got the popular spicy rigatoni which had a nice spice level. Skip the hot pepperoni pie as it wasn't worth it.

It's a Saturday evening and there is the phantom opera happening at the nearby park. Where do hungry zombies and fellow Halloween partiers go to right after? Here! This is the first time we went here and it was a long wait since there was a lot of people from the Opera event, as well as it was a very beautiful warm weather for this time in October. So many people came out to enjoy possibly one of the last days of this beautiful weather for this year. Though we waited, I got a nice table outdoor. We had the sautéed zucchini as an appetizer, which is actually a side dish and each one of us had a Parmesan dish. I had the eggplant and my friend had the chicken. They were delicious and yes the rigatoni is amazing. We had great service by Nikita, and he deserves a raise since I think he was the only server for the entire section along with his hard-working bus boy. I will most likely come back here.

Not bad. Cute place, nice decor. Service was friendly but a bit slow. Food was good, but there's better in the area.

After a doggy playdate with the improumptu crashing of a Sunday dachshund group, we made our way to Chickie's on a blustery afternoon for some belated grub. The Tagliatelle Bolognese was a pleasant cohabitation of al dente pasta and meaty sauce, while the Spicy Rigatoni brought actual heat with each daring bite, leaving my taste buds doing the macarena. I wouldn't rush to email my Italian nonna about this place, but I also wouldn't hesitate to come back when I need huge pasta portions at decent prices.

Made early evening reservations on a weekday and was promptly seated because it was empty. The place quickly filled up by the time we finished eating so I would recommend making reservations if you plan to have dinner after 7pm. We ordered the square hot pepperoni pizza which had hot honey drizzled on it and a thick crust. The waiter recommended this vs the round pizza which has a thin crust and mentioned their square ones are more popular. The pepperonis were pretty thin, but crispy and delicious. However, if you've had Prince Street Pizza this does not compare- Prince Street is still my favorite! The caesar salad was good, but too heavy on the anchovies for me. It was an overpowering taste. The tiramisu was deliciously creamy. The only downside is $12 gets you a tiny piece! Overall great spot for attentive service, nice ambience and good food.

Food was amazing. Penne vodka was great and atmosphere was a vibe. Loved the burrata and arugula salad

WOW! REALLY loved chickies! We went there for a birthday dinner in august and sat outside. There was a festival going on in the park across the street and it was great for people and dog watching. Service was very attentive throughout the meal. I had an Italian margarita (tequila, aperol, and lime) - so refreshing and delicious! The food was out of this world!! The clams were very garlicky (great thing in my book) and the garlic bread had a good amount of cheese. For dinner I had the chicken parm (classic sauce and mozz). The chicken was fried perfectly and was on the bone so it stayed juicy. The highlight though was the vodka rigatoni, which comes with every parm meal. It was the perfect amount of spice. Can't wait to try chickies again!

The…read morepull apart truffle monkey bread was our initial reason for coming, and although the price point was quite steep, I would say it's worth the try. The bread was fluffy and not dry, which I had seen previous reviews say before. Paired with the creamy truffle butter, it had a luxurious mouthfeel. My favorite was the pork chop (cognac, sweet prunes, bacon, rosemary) -- the sweet and soft texture of the prune was melted in my mouth like fat, and the pork was tender, with the rosemary also coming through. The vodka rigatoni was a skip, somewhat bland and one-note, we ended up putting some of the truffle butter and garlic aioli from the fries to make it more flavorful. This was especially in contrast with the spicy shrimp pasta which was much tastier. Also got the strawberry vacherin (strawberry ice cream, meringue, vanilla whipped cream), it was my first time having this dessert. The tartness of the strawberry was great with the fluffy meringue and the sweet ice cream. Service was extremely attentive, and the restaurant is beautifully decorated with moody lighting. Although the space was packed, it didn't feel too loud or crowded. We spent about two hours and didn't feel rushed.

I went on a Thursday night, and the place was absolutely packed. The front feels more like a bar/casual area, while the dining room is tucked toward the back. My reservation was at 10:15 PM, so I actually had a light dinner beforehand and ordered a little lighter than I normally would. I got: - Truffle Monkey Bread ($34.99) - Prime Rib French Dip ($39.99) - Pommes Frites ($13.99) - Banana Split Sundae ($24.99) I thought the prices were definitely on the higher end when I first sat down, but the Truffle Monkey Bread is divine! Honestly, it's probably in my top 3 bread experiences of my life. If you love truffle, butter, cheese, and basically everything good in life, please get this. It comes out slightly warm and is just incredible. I will probably dream about this bread. The French Dip was good, although it was a little too salty for me. If I get the chance to come back, I'd probably try one of their actual steaks instead. The pommes frites were super crispy, basically McDonald's fries but elevated. The Banana Split Sundae was so pretty. I loved how they placed all the little treats around the crevices/imprints of the dish (not sure how else to describe it ). It's huge, though, so definitely don't expect to finish it yourself. I'd recommend sharing it with 3+ people. I was also celebrating an anniversary, and they brought out a strawberry scoop for us. It tasted homemade and really fresh. I could actually see pieces of strawberry in it, which I loved. The restaurant is definitely on the pricier side, and getting a dinner reservation can be a struggle, but I'd absolutely go again if I got the chance. The decor is cozy and upscale, the food was excellent, and the whole place has a really nice atmosphere. My only real complaint was that our waitress kept pushing us to order more, which got a little annoying, especially since we had already ordered quite a bit. Overall: expensive + difficult reservation, but absolutely worth trying. And please get the truffle monkey bread.

Decor/actual restaurant: This particular location is very small and tight with limited in-store seating. The interior is cute, I like the blue color theme they have here. For a restaurant designed for to-go orders, I believe that there could be more waiting room and a couple less chairs. Service: Like many "fast food adjacent" restaurants, the people who work there have good customer service but I imagine deal with the worst. I know they're doing great with the situation they're in. Kudos to them. Food: this is probably my harshest critique. I ordered a pesto chicken sandwich, and it was fine. I don't believe it was worth the $16 I spent though. The chicken was kind of bland, tasted similarly to frozen grilled chicken pieces you buy from a grocery store. I do wish there was more sauce. The pesto tasted good but overall there was too much bread. I fear you would be better off making something like this at home for a comparable price. The bread was good, just too much. I don't want to base the menu on this sandwich alone, a lot of the menu options sounded delicious, but this was just the experience I had!
