We rolled into town too late for most restaurants . Really don't understand why you'd run a restaurant that closes at 8. So we went to Wong's for Chinese food . Server very friendly but I was bothered that she didn't wear gloves and they serve unwrapped fortune cookie. There was a Customer who was coughing and blowing his nose . Dirty tables and seats not being cleaned between parties. Onions used as filler to make dishes large. Kung pao was 3/4 onions! Bad to nonexistent service. I had to go get my own napkins from the service counter. I had to ask for silverware. No checkins from waitress. No bill. She basically pretended I wasnt there. Just a real bad vibe all around. Chanced upon this restaurant and decided to give it a try. We were greeted by a very friendly waitress (probably the owner) who went through the menu with us patiently - what a nice touch! We went with her recommendation and chose the family set meal. The portions are rather generous and the food is flavorful agreeing with our taste buds to a large extent - authentically Asian I should say. The special fried rice is delicious albeit a little salty for our liking. The orange chicken, cashew chicken, and battered prawns are very delicious indeed. We also tasted one of the best egg-drop soups compared to other Asian restaurants we've visited. Overall, we had a wonderful dining experience and will come back for another meal if we visit Klamath Falls again. read more

Gluten-free diners might have the usual trouble finding dishes without soy sauce (and there's no tamari option), but the veggie selections are plentiful for vegans. And you can order any dish MSG-FREE. Mega bonus! The service here gets an A+! I was delighted to find the staff warm and inviting, and unlike many other food service places in KF, these folks actually seem to be happy at their job. We notified our kind and friendly server about our dietary requirements and she happily made legitimate recommendations. I tried the Happy Tofu (not on the menu), and although it is not gluten-free, it was tasty - a bit of subtle sweetness with the soy sauce base. If you have gluten-thwarting supplements in your purse like I do, give this dish a try. The sauce on the Orange Tofu was light and bright. Very easy to love. The tofu was delicately fried and not over-battered. Excellent dish. I was surprised to find that Wong's can make your dish SUPER spicy if you please, and I do, so I went for the 911 spice level. It was just what I wanted, cleared my sinuses just like spicy Thai food. Next time I might forego this, however, so I can taste more of the actual flavor. I like the throwback feel, but the first thing I noticed when I walked in was duct tape all over the otherwise charming leather booths. A bit of extra investment in this joint would go a long way to keeping it classy while still humble and retro. I would also like to see more gluten-free options, including tamari, and at least one vegetarian appetizer. These are simple adjustments that could bring in and please a growing number of modern diners. read more

We were in town visiting my daughter and her boyfriend, who suggested Wongs for a late lunch. We arrived to a warm and friendly greeting of "Hi Everyone! Welcome!" from the server, whose name I regretfully did not get. She had the best sense of humor, was attentive and conversational, and really made the experience a joy. The food was fresh, delicious, and plentiful (we each took more than half our plates to go). Honestly, was probably the best service I've received at any restaurant in terms of friendliness and enjoyment. The atmosphere is great; dark woods, stunning wallpaper, and a gorgeous, authentic vintage vibe that makes the entire experience enjoyable. This place I have been eating at since 1971 (yeah, as a kid!). It has changed hands a few times since then but the food still rocks! Have been there lately three times on business lunches since the first of the year and every time, great! The Rice Soup is super and the Fried Prawns and Fried Rice really pop. The best Chinese food I've ever had in Oregon, and great hospitality as well! When I saw the big, bright neon sign out front, I knew the experience was going to be special. You can't beat the price either. My family and I ordered Wongs to feed a group of 20, and everyone was full and satisfied for a grand total of $60- incredible! We even had food left over too, the place really is a bang for your buck. Not one upset stomach either. When our food wasn't ready for pickup when we arrived, they offered us a free cup of hot tea while we waited. I could tell the servers really got to know their customers too, as I noticed one of the servers introduced them to the chef and got to know the customers at a personal level. My friend and I went there for lunch. We were excited to see a vegetarian menu. We ordered two separate tofu dishes, Szechuan Tofu and another tofu dish. We asked the lady if they came with vegetables and she said yes. When the dishes were brought to our table, they looked like a mess. Both dishes were saturated with onions and just a few pieces of green pepers, two slices of mushrooms. The tofu looked like they just cut it in strings out of the tofu block and threw them into the mix. Both dishes looked exactly the same but with different sauce. It was very disappointing.
