This is still my go to for a Family outing because they have something for everyone *thumbs up" ALL of the sashimi is now previously frozen causing the texture to be spongy and tastes like it's holding a lot of water. Not what it used to be just a few months ago. Portions are still good sized though. Prices keep inching up and they will still charge you extra when you ask for salad dressing for your included salad. Yes, the sashimi deluxe comes on a bed of romaine lettuce, but does not include any salad dressing (+$1). You can't make this stuff up *lol* The noodles need sauce or salt or something. Very clean, but also very bland. Added some eel sauce from the sushi roll and it was good :) Bento box is always a solid choice for the indecisive. It comes with a little bit of everything. The dragon roll was the highlight of the meal. Service was mediocre this time around, but probably because we came around dinner time and the place got busy with just 1 visible server for the whole restaurant. The food is good. I tried their roll lunch combo that comes with miso soup. For the rolls I chose the eel roll and the salmon rolls. Both were fantastic and did fill me up. The place looks decent and spacious. However the service is what brings them way down. They forgot to hand me my miso soup which I would've liked to enjoy in the beginning not end of my meal. And when I asked for it the girl got bothered that I asked for it and brought it back with an attitude. Also if you sit on the bar all the sushi restaurants I've been to you can order with the sushi makers and skip the waiter. I guess they failed to mention that in the beginning. Ordered, food brought to the table, no beverages, one set of chopsticks and no one checked on us so that we could ask for our drinks and enough chopsticks to not have to share! Then a hair in my sushi. I was less then thrilled and ask to have our bill credited for the problems. Felt like I was called a liar had like $8 taken off our bill, won't be back. First time having sushi in Klamath. Walked in a little after 4pm on a Monday and quickly seated. I was VERY surprised to see a paper menu that said "ALL YOU CAN EAT." First time in oregon that I've seen it an option. It's about $35 pp. I am unsure if AYCE is available for lunch. As we aged, my husband and I can't handle AYCE anymore, so we opted a la cart. The prices here a so low! I was actually a little afraid we would get sick, but we were fine the next day. I didn't care for the specialty roll, I even forgot the name. I actually prefer more "traditional" sushi anyways. The salmon was very good! Silky and buttery. Ikura was fresh. I also hadn't gotten good hotate in a while. It was served at a cold temp, just the way I like it. Plus, it has a citrus flavor that I wasn't sure if it was the natural sweetness or if they seasoned it. The rice to fish ratio for nigiri was a little much. However, that typical at AYCE places. The rice to fish ratio for the rolls were just the way I liked it! We have eaten at Momji several times. It's a hit and miss i guess... The first time we went in 2024 it was very good 4/5 stars. The second time last summer, it was awful... I got shrimp noodles and for some reason it was drenched in cinnamon... this evening we ordered a California roll (good), a BBQ eel roll (delicious, but every one fell apart...), and seared ahi rolls x 2 (absolutely awful... dry... hideous color... no flavor). We tried the fried calamari, vegetable tempura, and chicken yakisoba. The yakisoba stood out -- it had a hint of what tasted like Chinese five spice, which is pretty unique for yakisoba, but honestly, it worked. I actually enjoyed it. I grew up at the beach, so I was really disappointed by the calamari. The breading was all wrong -- it was thick, like what you'd find on onion rings, completely overpowering the delicate flavor of the calamari. Tempura is usually a favorite of mine, but not here. The batter was heavy and hard, not light and airy like proper tempura should be. That said, the yakisoba was good enough that I'm willing to give this place another shot and try more of the menu. I am genuinely upset. I asked before if they can do special orders and they said that they could, I gave them a special order. They did not follow anything that I actually asked. They did the extreme bare minimum I had asked for Nigiri smoked salmon with the Japanese mayo. They did not do that. They didn't smoke it and they put little to no actual Japanese mayo on it, and I also asked for it to be half spicy and half regular and I paid $40. When I left at 5:40, the restaurant was full and people were waiting for a table. They have sushi, bento boxes, ramen, and traditional entrees (teriyaki, katsu, etc). If raw fish makes you nervous, don't worry! There are lots of rolls with cooked fish to choose from. I tried the sushi today. Just some mini-rolls and the tempura vegetables. The mini-rolls are what you'd expect. They were a nice addition to our meal and a good value. The fish was good. The tempura veggies was really good. Not to greasy at all. My friends had Ocean Bourity Roll and the Cold Sushi Appetizer (nigiri). They both like their dishes a lot. The food came out really fast. I'd love to go back. Great to find a decent Asian place in Klamath falls, many options of bento boxes, perfect for travelers like us. I like that they have not only bentos with different meats but different portions. I got the 'lite' bento no. 1 with teriyaki chicken, gyoza and salad which is the perfect portion for me. And hubby got the over-loaded bento no.2 with katsu chicken, spring rolls, teriyaki chicken and salad. Both of us are happy with the amount of food we get! Tastewise I would say teriyaki chicken is flavored pretty nicely, even though the chicken could be cut better. The katsu chicken, gyoza, and spring rolls are all soft instead of crunchy outside-but could be caused by transportation-taste is pretty good. Approximately, three hours after eating, began with an upset stomach followed by full on food poisoning symptoms through the night. Great food, and polite attentive wait staff. I ordered the Dragon Roll, Mango Roll and Rocky Salmon Roll. Served on a big white plate so not the most amazing presentation, but the Wasabi flower was at least a nice touch. Seems a very family friendly atmosphere. The restaurant is tidy and not too crowded even when full of people. I came at 7pm and it was busy but I had two different servers ask me if I had been helped. Tables were bussed quickly when guests left which helps give it a clean feel. Nice Japanese pop music playing at a good level, and funny, a Spanish soap opera playing on the TV over the sushi bar. Vegan, gluten-free sushi in Klamath Falls. However, the servers may need you to remind them repeatedly what "vegan" means... We told our server right when we sat down that we are vegan, so we needed foods and sauces without fish ingredients. Most everything went fine, until we were served miso with the Vegetable Roll Combo. BEWARE, VEGANS: THE MISO CONTAINS FISH. I wish our server had remembered our no-fish request so she could have proactively kept us from trying the soup. They need to be careful about this, especially if diners have allergies. If we'd been allergic to fish, we might have been killed (that's a modified Ace Ventura reference, btw lol). I know it's a sushi joint, but I did make sure to notify my server immediately of my diet, and I think it's reasonable to expect that she remember what I said and help me find what does fit my needs. The Agedashi Tofu was rather basic. It comes with ponzu sauce though, so that helped give it some much needed flavor. The flakes on top the tofu chunks are, allegedly, "imitation bonito flakes." I asked about them specifically because they taste like straight up fish. I was assured they are safe for vegetarians, but I never saw the ingredients (can't find them anywhere online either) so I'm just going to avoid them to be sure. Gluten-free tamari sauce is available upon request. The Kaisou Vegetable Roll was my favorite of all the things we tried. It is totally vegan and gluten-free. It pairs well with ponzu sauce and stands alone, unsauced as well. The seaweed salad inside it is diversely umami, very enjoyable. Excellent roll. The Veg Head Roll was great. Remember to order it with gluten-free tempura batter to make it truly vegan and gluten-free. I loved the texture of this roll with the tempura asparagus and the avocado draped over the top. The sweet chili garlic sauce worked perfectly. Another excellent roll. My husband tried the Yakisoba Noodle dish with only veggies (not gluten-free; not sure about fish sauce). He said it had a gingerbread cookie taste, which was really weird, but it also lacked a certain saltiness that he expected from yakisoba. Not great, but strangely still edible with the addition of soy sauce. This place is good and I'll be back, but there are a couple things that would increase my happiness and satisfaction as a customer: I would like to see a truly vegan miso option (made without fish flakes), and gluten-free tamari on the table. I would also like to know that the servers are receiving better training on how to appropriately help customers with alternative dietary needs. read more

Finally Klamath Falls OR gets a good Japanese restaurant. This evening was their soft opening. Considering they had no idea what to expect crowd wise they did great. Waitresses really hustle. I believe as time passes they will get their systems in place. Came with parents. Dad had deluxe sushi. Mom had the #4 bento box. I order a variety of rolls and sushi. Took a bit of time but that is expected on a soft opening. With that said when the food came out it was delicious. Fish was fresh and tasty. The fish to rice ratio was perfect (not too much rice or fish). Really enjoyed the Teriyaki Chicken the sauce was a little different than what I've had in the past. Not as sweet. Had the Spicy Hamachi and dragon roll. Very tasty. Wish them much success. I hope and pray I can still rave about them a year from now. Please keep it up and get even better.
