My family has been getting food from here for long as I can remember. It's a family owned location and the people there are really nice. The food is good not great but as I said Nother views I'm totally spoiled as I lived in China. Thankfully wonton soup is not ruined for me when I lived abroad and I love love love this places wonton soup. Overall their food is really well priced you can get a lot without breaking the bank. They have a delivery service which is awesome because as the weather is super cold out I don't want to go outside and I want someone to come to me. You don't even need to spend too much before they'll deliver for you. And usually you get like the little extras like an eggroll or something. If you go to the actual location it is a dive. It is clean but it's tiny and there is street parking which is shitty. I think if they had six people sitting in there to eat it would be crazy. But I think they are now one of those places in new Hyde Park that belongs there and when you're leaving or getting Chinese food pick up delivery whatever you think of this location. We ordered dinner and got some special combination platters with wonton soup and egg rolls. The wonton soup wasn't the best. They also give a smaller soup size than most take-out spots. I couldn't eat the sesame chicken and fried rice. The flavors and textures weren't great. The sesame chicken was mostly crispy pieces and fat. I felt like I was searching for the meat. I ordered for delivery to my home cause I have craving for their food. I usually eat at restaurant or pick up. But today feeling exhaustion and it's raining outside. A work lunch fave for taste, reliability, and value. I even ordered from here for my contribution for Thanksgiving potluck lol - ordered the beef & broccoli. Would definitely reccomend considering for catering orders! I personally like the beef broccoli, crab rangoons & boneless spare ribs at wongs - but be warned sometimes they are a little light handed with the beef & the ribs have sometime come a little dry once or twice. We used to get delivery from here all the time. But since covid I've been cooking more and ordering less. The food is fine. Nothing bad nothing good. It's fresh and their delivery is reliable. It's just basic Chinese. Lots of goopy sauces, over meats and vegetables. It's on a main road so there's no parking. There are definitely better places around but this is not a terrible choice if you're in a hurry. read more

They sent me food that wasn't according to what I requested. When I called the representative and told her what happened, she first told me that they'll order food for me again and for me to pack what they initially brought so they can take it back. I am happy to pack it back but both containers were opened already. She said that's ok, they will still take it back. I hope they don't give the same food to someone else. Few minutes later, the representative called me back and said she spoke to her manager and her manager said they will refund me the money and take the food back instead and will not bring the food they promised to bring. I was relieved that I didn't need to taste any unsanitary food from them. I will not order again from this place and I urge that you don't order from them either. Like any other Chinese take out place, they have their good days and they have their bad days! On a good day, the egg foo young is excellent- nice and fluffy with excellent gravy. On a bad day you get a fried mashed pancake and a bucket of brown sludge to pour over it. They deliver in the area and they do it rather quickly so we tend to order there quite a bit at the last minute. Overall the food is fine, not stellar but good enough in a pinch. read more

I'm sorry but this was the worst Chinese food I've ever had. I just received my food which I ordered via Uber eats and even the presentation didn't look appetizing. I ordered king pao chicken which turned out to be huge chunks of carrots and other veggies with just a few shavings of chicken and the sauce wasn't even good. Really good local Chinese takeout restaurant. The food is well cooked, well seasoned, not overly salty or oily. Delivery has been relatively quick and they are very friendly and seem to care about their customers satisfaction. I've had a few different options, the house special soup with wontons is delicious, hot and spicy dishes are served with some kick if you request it spicy. The rice and noodle dishes have been well done. We have a vegetarian in the family and there are a few nice veggie options. Give this place a shot I am glad I did. read more

I have been eating Wong's Garden for upwards of 15 years. I primarily order Sesame Chicken White Meat, No Broccoli, with White Rice and after having recently moved and forced to try other Chinese places that were absolutely terrible, I can now say this is my favorite Chinese restaurant. Anytime I tried the lo-mein someone else I was with ordered, it was good. I just tried fried chicken wings for the first time recently and that was amazing. They are completely on the money 7.5 out of 10 times. Open late, deliver quick. Even with not being on point all the time, their worst is still better than others best. I am adding one star to this review because the amount of food that I got for what i paid was a lot. However when it comes to taste and quality I dont think this place will be my chinese spot.
