Wood Nails is the best, and I love the beautiful renovations they just did! The salon is very clean and has a zen feel which I love. I've been getting Gel X nails done by Vanis for just over 3 years and I don't know why it took me this long to finally leave a review, but he truly is the best!! I had tried dozens of nail salons over the years in search for someone that has his attention to detail (mainly so that I could actually sit and relax while getting my nails done), rather than having anxiety like I had with every other nail technician because at least one nail was always put on crooked and it would drive me nuts!!! I can confidently say his skills are unmatched and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for top quality nails. Today I went to ask why I couldn't get in touch with them to make an appointment for my manicure. I asked Fiona, and she said she would ask her husband, Vanis. Then he asked me to step outside so he could explain, so the other customers wouldn't notice. Once outside, he told me they would never serve me again because they didn't like me telling his wife, Fiona, to do a good manicure and pedicure. I had to go back one day because she hadn't done a good job on my pedicure. They blocked my calls, so I had to go in person. I thought they were closed or on vacation for the Chinese New Year, but that wasn't the case. It means that even if you pay them and tip them, they don't seem to care about getting a good job. I had been going to that place for years with the previous owners; they just changed the name of the business. This was my experience. read more

Clean, kind, and excellent quality! I am in town, and I went in for a gel pedicure. doesn't have your typical massage chairs, but has comfy chairs and lemon water soak. The gentleman who performed my pedicure was polite, paid attention to detail, gives an awesome massage (I extended the massage it was so nice), and gave an excellent pedicure! Wow! My first time coming here and Vanis did an incredible job with my nails. I had an appointment for 6 pm so the last slot before closing for GelX and i had anticipated it being a rushed job but I needed them done today. He took his time and payed such great attention to detail! He was so kind, conversational, and fabulous at nails!! I liked the atmosphere here The ladies are all so sweet and Mindy(I think), who helped me, spoke perfect American accent English so chatting was easy and nice. I was NOT a fan of my nails though. I got French tip gels and the white tips ended up wrinkly and the rest of the nail had little fuz or lint here and there. And I ended up with two globs on one nail edge!!! Annoying! Her skill with creating the white tip was horrid. All crooked and half of them still showed the empty space between my free nail and where the nail bed starts. Didn't even go all the way to the tip on two nails! This semi permanent stuff! I just can't afford to deal with this crap again. Ugh! And on a holiday weekend too! :( Go down the street to Precious Nails and Spa. I've been there a couple times and they did a much better job, you dont have to pay for parking, and they cost less. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. There were two customers in the shop at the time, one drying her nails and the other finishing up her polish. I asked if the lady had time for a gel mani and a pedi because I was a walk-in. The lady tells me to sit down while she calls her manager. The lady plain and simple walks up to me & tells me "we can't help you." I'm confused at this point because she didn't even say "hello", "sorry we have appointments coming in," just flat out "we can't help you." I'm flabbergasted & ask her why, she explains that she "just can't". Not to jump the gun, but that response didn't sit right with me, no other accommodations or rescheduling attempts were made, just a flat out rejection. I went here today for the first time with a friend and was very pleasantly surprised. The staff is all very friendly, and it's evident from the moment you walk in that most customers are regulars. Service was great, they took the time to properly remove my gel (instead of just drilling it off) and both my gel mani and pedicure were immaculate. Prices here are INCREDIBLY reasonable. 1 star for Vicky; 5 stars for Vivanne. Today I went to get a mani/pedi for the first time @ Hana & Her Sisters. Vicky started doing my manicure. It was all great until one of her longtime customers walked in and Vicky started rushing doing my nails because she didn't want her customer to wait. She missed painting the side part of my fingernails and didn't even want to apply the top coat because she didn't want her customer to wait. Hello? I'm your customer too? Vivianne was doing my pedicure at the same time, and Vicky asked Vivianne to finish applying the top coat for my fingernails. I told Vicky that she also missed painting the side part of my nails, and she asked Vivianne to fix it before she rushed off to her customer who was waiting. Super rude and very unprofessional to treat me like this. On the other hand, Vivianne was amazing and did an awesome job. Hana & her sisters, yes there really are a Hana & sisters, are pleasant & professional, offer reasonable prices, the salon is very clean, especially floors, & towels. I don't like dirty, obviously used towels that are typical of other nail establishments- not at Hana & Her Sisters. My manicure & pedicure look very good - perfectly shaped nails, neat cuticles & shiny polish. There are no spa chairs- which I think is great, because it is just another way to upcharge the customer. I also suspect spa chairs are difficult to sanitize completely. This is now my primary nail salon! read more

The ladies that work here are very friendly so in that way 5 stars. The one thing I disliked though was that my manicure came with an ultra short massage. It lasted about 10 seconds each arm. An old well known customer came in afterwards and the same lady who did my nails massaged her for about 4 minutes each arm. That was not cool! read more

I've really never had a bad experience with a nail salon - some are definitely better than others but for the most part I feel like you can't go wrong with a gel manicure. I could not have been more wrong...this was literally the WORST gel manicure I could ever imagine. My nails were chipping after 1 day and completely chipped within THREE DAYS...which should be nearly impossible with a gel manicure. I thought about going back to have them redo it but didn't want to sit in a chair for another hour just to come out with chipped nails again. Moral of the story, I do NOT recommend! read more

I can't believe the good reviews. Came here once and had the worst experience. The workers here have the most atrocious attitude! They don't respect people's time/appointments and have the audacity to be rude about it! Never coming back save your money and go elsewhere! Disgusting people, disgusting service! Just like the flies i kept having to swat away all throughout my pedicure. Moreover my pedicure chipped the next day they didn't even do a quality job. I might as well have done my own nails Helen did such a bad job! We left without tipping because honestly with their attitudes they didn't deserve a penny. I work in customer service so I understand it gets busy sometimes and people get stressed out but it is NEVER okay to treat customers as poorly as they treated us and to blatantly refuse to finish a customers service (who had an appointment) to go tend to a customer who walked in without an appointment. read more
