I wanted to like this salon because the location is convenient, there's plenty of parking, and the prices are reasonable. Unfortunately, the actual experience was disappointing enough that I won't be returning. The service felt very rushed from start to finish, and the overall professionalism of the staff was poor. The employees looked unkempt, dirty, worn-out clothes, messy hair, and generally like they had just rolled out of bed and needed their first cup of coffee for the day. It did not inspire confidence in the cleanliness or quality of the salon. At first glance, the shop appears fairly clean, but what I witnessed during my appointment completely changed my impression. One of the manicurists dropped a tool on the floor, casually picked it up, placed it back on her cart, and then used it on my nails a few minutes later without sanitizing it. That is completely unacceptable and extremely unsanitary. Cleanliness and proper sanitation should be the bare minimum at any nail salon. Based on what I saw, I seriously think the health inspector should take a closer look at their cleaning and sanitizing practices. Convenient location and affordable prices are not enough to make up for poor hygiene and careless service. Never again. read more

Made an appointment. the guy rushed through on my nails and didn't feel like doing it the proper way by taking off the polygel first. I told him I trusted him and to put whatever was gonna make my nails the strongest . So he recs dip powder. My nails were literally bending with dip powder on! (I've had dip powder before and your nails absolutely should not be bending) Less than 16 hours later One totally breaks. The next morning another one breaks. I had to go back the next day and it took the other lady almost an hour to fix the 2 nails bc of what a terrible job the young guy did. I went back a second time to give one last chance. Hoping I'd get the lady who fixed his crappy job the first time. I did get her. I just got a basic gel manicure because I didn't wanna drop a bunch of money like last time for poor quality. I had her cut all my nails to make it easy. Literally less than 48 hrs later gel mani chipped on 2 fingers. Unlikely I will ever go back here again because I can't keep wasting time having to go back one to two days later for them to fix something that should be lasting two weeks. read more

I love coming to Jennifer, because she is very detail oriented, takes her time, and really listens to your wants and needs. Came here for the first time and not going back ever. Cindy is soooooo rude! She did a terrible job on my toes and when I asked her to clean the polish off my skin she got mad and started yelling at me why I didn't get a pedicure and did color change. Unbelievable!! If you go here makesure Cindy doesn't help you. my friend who did a manicure with her was also unhappy. So regardless if it's mani/pedi or color change she's not good and is extremely rude. The manager is the rudest woman I've ever seen! She's so mean and unprofessional! Never going back to this salon and wish I could've give them even lower than one star. I was 5 mins late and she gave me the worst attitude! Then sits me on pedicure chair for mani (that's all they have) which is was too uncomfortable for a client reaching hands everywhere. She starts removing my gel with the electric file and not even just filing the surfacing going all the way through removing the whole nail polish with that which will damage the nail. I kindly asked her not to do so and use the normal file and wrap my nails but she completely ignores me and removes everything with that. I have very thin fragile nails and god knows how worse they are after this terrible experience with her. I asked her if I can at least turn on the pedi chair for a massage and obviously she said no. All that attitude she gave me and at the end her job was the worst ! Did a gel mani she took so long to do it , they're all already chipped after 2 days. The machine wasn't drying them at all. I still was stupid enough to tip her way too much 7 dollars on a 35 disaster mani and didnt even hear a thank you! Then Right after I left they were so Matt and uneven I went back To her and she was like you pressed your hand between your cars door !! Why the hell would I even do that? Wow! Some of the other reviews go back so many years....I found this strip mall nail shop in 2003. I was a regular for over a year when I moved out-of-state. I can't even begin to describe how I longed for MB while I was away, as the only places where I was living was INSANELY priced - even at that time. I was so pleased to be home and back with MB by holiday season, 2005. When I first came to MB, Chi was wonderful, alas, she left around the time I did, and unlike me, never returned. When I came back, I bounced to whomever was available when I walked in, for about a year. All the girls were wonderful! At some point, I started working with Lien -- and I became her regular. She did a great manicure, an awesome pedicure, and the longer I've been with her, the more of my needs she has taken care of. When I realized MB offered waxing, I started using that service, leaving another professional who cost more. When they offered massage, I stopped looking for massage salons, and get a should run as my nails dry. More than that, over the years, Lien has stepped up to be the "All-in-One". Lucy does a great job with wax. But when my schedule changed, Lien handled it and does a great job, also. More than all of the above, I am not great with preplanning things like manicures/pedicures/wax/etc.....and most of the time, if I call Lien, she will find a way to fit me in. I tend to feel bad because I can't always afford to give Lien as much business as I used to (I used to come weekly, but in the tough economy and a subsequent layoff, my visits have dropped to quarterly) but she is so incredibly wonderful that she has even called me when *too* much time has gone by, just to see if I'm ok. She knows there have been tough times in my life, in more ways that just finances, and she goes out of her way to be an angel in disguise! So, GO SEE LIEN.....and everyone else at MB Nails! PS - parking can be tight, but there is an underground garage. PPS - I find the prices at MB to be in-line or lower than other salons. It's been a long time since I went elsewhere, but I remember going to places that would charge $8 for a manicure -- sounds amazing until you realize all they are doing is slapping on nail polish. For a $23 mani/pedi (no spa) my nails are cut, shaped, cleaned, and colored and I even get a few moments of a wrist and ankle massage. read more

Pretty affordable, they raised their prices after COVID but it's totally fair considering they were closed for so long and still affordable. The manager of the shop is by far the rudest lady ever. They make you pay for certain services that you didn't ask for. Besides this i had the worst mani & pedi ever. Nailpolish came off within 2 hours. My nails look like crap. 45$ down the drain. My cuticles are a mess, the polish is a mess at the cuticle line and honestly need to pay to get them redone elsewhere. They were very busy and the work was rushed. For a pedicure, thisplace is great...a little pricier than most salons on westwood blvd. But the extra $5 to get the dead skin off is worth it and the ladies really concentrate on your feet and nails. The extra foot massage is not good and not worth the money at all. I started to come to MB nails because one of my sister's close friends took me here and they did an amazing job! I've gone here ever since. They always massage my hands and feet and they always do each step in giving me a beautiful mani/pedi : they get rid of my cuticles, they add oil and lotion, and they do whatever it is they do to make sure my nails look beautiful again! I trust this place a lot and the prices are amazing :) $23 for mani and pedi is real good PLUS they do a great job with your nails. I usually have one person doing my toes and another on hands so I def. tip both of them like $3-4 :) I didn't give them 5 stars because I do question their cleanliness with the utensils. i havent had any problems with it yet but I usually just see them clean it with a towel and put it back into their tool box :/ I do kinda think it's pretty gross lol I dont want anyone else's nasty nail residue on my hands and feet... i do love this place tho ;) read more
