This place is ridiculously amazing!!! Katelyn was great along with the rest of the staff--very friendly. The bread is so soft and fresh. The fire roasted olives were a pleasent surprise as a starter; the roasting process really added to the flavor--or otherwise they were just really good quality! Their pizza is great which I had last time but this time had to go with a homemade pasta dish. Pasta is so much better homemade and theirs is great!!! Then the margarita old fashion drink shouldn't work with the ingredients but was delicious. If you haven't been yet this is a must go restaurant. My family has been to this place several times over the past few months and they do not disappoint. We celebrated a birthday here yesterday and they were so accommodating! I dropped off a cake early and they also moved our table with no issue when they realized one person in our party would have a hard time walking upstairs - when a business is super nice about these things, it makes the experience that much better. Now the food - we've tried multiple pastas and pizzas and we have loved them all. The prices are reasonable, especially considering we usually take food home. Will definitely be back soon! read more

I went to eat dinner with my family. Upon entering the the host said to me " how can I help you?" I did not know how to respond because I'm thinking to myself ... This is a restaurant right? And they are open for business? I thought it would be weird for me respond and say we are here to have dinner can you please seat us. I turned to look at my husband and he's just as perplexed as I am. She went on to say that there was a wait time of 25 minutes because they were many people waiting ahead. I found it hard to believe because there was no one waiting. Another guest came in behind us and The hostess went around us to assist him. She said "hello do you have reservations?" I felt like we were treated differently...This a restaurant not concierge/ guest services. The restaurant I must say is beautiful on the inside and out. Very clean and well kept. That's what attracted us at first. However the service and food does not match up. The food: In my opinion, I give the food 5 out 10 for just being okay. They said they were bringing out bread and never did! The chicken had a very unpleasant smell. we couldn't eat it because we specifically requested for sauce to be placed on the side and they put the sauce on the meat. The vegetables in my soup were not cooked so I couldn't eat it. Peas were hard and tasteless. The pizza was overly priced and barely had any mozzarella cheese on it. Nothing special. There were 2 slices of Margarita pizzas with no cheese just sauce on small piece of basil. I wish they would have been a little more generous with the cheese and followed our request on the sauce. The service was okay. Waitress came by took our order. I don't think she introduced herself just said that's she's taking out order. I ordered soup and she said that we were getting a basket of bread. A random person came out of no where, and placed a dirty spoon on my table and said it was for my soup. I didn't use it and had to request for a clean one. The bread never came and our pizza came before the chicken and the kids meal last. The waitress asked if everything was okay...once and she seemed to be very busy waitressing several tables on a weekday night. It was an OKAY experience. No looking forward to going again. read more

We had a really good first experience at this restaurant. I didn't realize that the owners also owned Novita. We had enjoyed Novita but we haven't been there in a long time. The restaurant was really busy when we got there but everybody was very pleasant. We had about a five minute wait for our reservation. They gave us a nice banquette table by the window. Tables are spaced out which is nice. It was my husband's birthday and they were very sweet. We had Julio as our server and I can't recommend him enough he was extremely personable and one of the best servers that I've had. The food was really good everything was served hot and tasted amazing. I have lived abroad in Italy and I'm quite picky about my Italian food everything was truly authentic from the smell to the taste. The pizzas were delicious we brought home a half serving of one of the pasta dishes and my daughter loved it. I am excited to go back with friends. read more

Amazing atmosphere and solid food. I believe the place used to be a TD Bank. The second floor seating overlooking the centralized center circular flowing bar, really nice adds a nice touch to the vibrance of the place in general. The food is great - boasting a variety of wood-fired delights outside of the delicious Napoli-style pizza. They also offer half-size pastas for those that are curious but not looking to overload on carbs! I personally enjoyed their octopus and mussels in white wine crostini. Drinks are mixology-style using the finest spirits. Their Negroni is spot-on it you're really looking to go "old school!" You will also see one of the owners (I think they're brothers) Carlo making his rounds if he is not bussing a table or serving espresso! He really cares and it shows in his establishment. Finally, a great new addition to the sadly mediocre pizza offerings in Middlesex county. Housed in a tall ceilinged, bright, airy and modern space right behind downtown Metuchen. To start us off, they brought out complimentary slices of their freshly baked sourdough accompanied with a pat of butter topped with sea salt. One bite of the crispy crackly crust of the sourdough and we knew we were off to a great start! For our appetizers, we ordered the crispy Brussels Sprouts and rosemary potatoes. The sprouts were deep fried and so a tad bit greasy made worse by the only slightly cloyingly sweet agrodolce sauce which seemed to drown out the Calabrian chilis. The potatoes were nicely roasted and creamy on the inside. For our the mains, we ordered their summer gnocchi which were soft and pillowy; nestled in a silken white wine sauce and accompanied with some fresh corn and cherry tomatoes. The pizzas are more Neapolitan than New York; featuring a thin yet airy crust with a nicely puffed up cornicione. Thankfully for the vegetarians in our group, they offer tons of interesting vegetarian toppings! The pizzas came with some fun names too like the one we had; 'Hail To The Kale' which featured Tuscan kale, roasted mushrooms and garlic with Fontina on a bechamel sauce. The 'Burrata' which started off as a more traditional Marinara but topped with tomatoes, pesto and a large mound of burrata plopped in the center. We finished with a flourless chocolate cake that was nicely executed with the right amount of bitterness dialed in. Some minor gripes - both of our pizzas came out slightly overdone; they could've done with a minute or so less under the searing heat of their oven. In fact, this seemed to be a pattern. We saw some other pies come out looking excessively charred as opposed to the 'leopard spotting' thats expected on the best Neapolitan pies. Also, the service could've been a little better. We walked in at 12:10 PM about 10 minutes after the restaurant opened and were initially told they weren't open yet until someone sorted out the issue and seated us. Hopefully, these are but teething issues and we look forward to visiting and ordering some of their other pizzas and pasta dishes! read more

WOW! THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE. Meals and pizzas are insanely OVERPRICED and the portions are tiny. The food is not even good or tasty. We ordered 2 pizzas and a salad. Each pizza was extremely small, like a personal Celeste pizza but they were $14 EACH. The people I was with thought both were disgusting. The salad was fresh but boring, small, and the dressing was not tasty. My whole group of people was wildly disappointed. It's an overpriced hipster pizza kitchen that is horrible. read more

This was a nice evening out. Saturday night at 6 pm we waited about 25 minutes to be seated. It was pretty crowded with an employee in the parking lot guiding you to parking. Staff was very nice and service was excellent. The food was delicious. The only real negative in my opinion is that many tables are close together. People dressed up or down. We paid $70 for our bill which was 2 pizzas, 3 adult beverages and a soda. Overall a great night but not intimate or cozy. read more

However, the only "complaint" I would have to make is the overpriced up-charge for my celiac disease +$5 on a premium priced pizza is flat out a rip off. This is one of my favorite places for sure. Starting from their artisanal country loaf bread and scrolling down the full menu ... you will only find that it gets better and better. The quality and the authenticity is what makes them one of the best around. Although not a full Italian menu , the pizza is as authentic as it can get , the bread , the mozzarella , the stracciatella ( have to order this beauty ) and the pasta (my favorite is the Norma a typical Sicilian dish with tomato sauce, caramlized eggplant and ricotta salata) As an Italian it makes me proud to eat food served this way. Had dinner with my wife and son on a Friday night a few weeks ago before jumping on the train for a concert in NYC. The place was packed but we were seated right on time for our reservation. Unfortunately, I don't remember our waiters name, but the service was good. He was attentive and explained everything very well when it came to their gluten free options for my wife. We started with a couple of cocktails, my wife had a seasonal margarita which I tasted and it was excellent and I stuck with my usually grey goose dirty martini, it was okay. We all had personal pizzas for dinner, my son had a plain which he enjoyed, my wife had a gluten free pie with black olives which she thought was good, and I had the prosciutto and arugula pie which I thought was also really good. The pies came out together and were well cooked and hot. Overall a good experience. We don't live close but meet friends for dinner often in that area and will be adding this to the rotation read more

Maybe 10 minutes in it started pouring rain we hurried back inside to see if it would pass. We were probably 10 feet from the bar finishing our drinks around noone when the manager came up and told us we couldn't lower our mask to drink them. Meanwhile two women finished their wine at the bar???We asked to bag our food and take home they said they would have to remake. Thirty minutes later no bread like we had asked for, we took home our order which the pasta portion was about a quarter of a pint container...Again I understand covid rules but I have never been treated so bad and paid so much for a bar size ok pizza, couple spoonfuls of pasta, meatballs were good but Way overpriced for what we got. read more
