First time we visited, it was great. Nice selection of beers and cool atmosphere. Tonight, they were out of most of their draft beers, so I had a Rhinegeist. I love Rhinegeist, but I was looking forward to something unique to Woodburn. It was a gorgeous night, so we sat on the back deck. Great until all the smokers congregated. It was unbearable. Came here for a drink with some friends, and it was a cool spot! It has a trendy interior, and friendly staff! It does look like it could use a couple of extra high top tables to fill in some of the empty space, but that's just my opinion. Good beer, however, I was baffled when I found out that Woodburn Brewery is charging $6.00 for a pint and $6.00 for a flight of 3 beers! Since when is a flight, only 3 beers? This place started great, but has quickly gone downhill. The beer menu is unpredictable, and the place is dirty. I was recently in on a Tuesday, and the bathrooms were filthy - the toilets had slimy rings in them, and appeared to not have been clean in weeks. The bar counter also appeared not to have been wiped down in a long time. And too top it off, one of the owners (or the brewer) ordered La Rosa's, sat next to me at the bar, and opened some stinky chicken wings -- totally ruined my beer. It was disgusting. Quality of the bartenders has gone down too -- whole place is becoming a dumpy bar, instead of a sophisticated craft brewery they could be. read more

Stopped here on the way back from Hyde Park. Great little brewery, with a great vibe and roomy interior (very industrial). The exposed brick wall with the bent pipe lamp covering it is fantastic! The lady who poured our beer was very nice and let us taste a few before we decided. She checked back to see if we needed another pour when our beers starting getting low. The beers we tried were excellent and the others on the menu offered a good variety of choice. I hate going to places where half the menu is IPAs. The only thing that would make this place better would be some munchies to go with the beer. Overall, a great experience for me and my friend! We've been here a handful of times. The beer isn't bad, but our experience with service has not been positive. Every visit, we' get the impression the bartenders would rather be anywhere but there. Love, love, love the space. This place is a little more classy than your typical brewery. Just seems a little more "high-end". There was a lot more room than I had realized and I am sure that they will do some serious business. The beer was good, but nothing had me wanting for more. We chose to get a couple of flights. The flights here are only 3 beers, which is fine. I just couldn't figure out why we did not get the flight "carrier" with out order. I didn't know if it was because we sat at the bar or what, but I wanted the whole experience. I know, it seems a little petty, but they looked different and I wanted to try them. I visited Woodburn for the first time last weekend as part of a Cincy Brew Bus tour, and it was awesome! I LOVED the atmosphere. Such a cool building with great decor. During the tour we sampled the Steinpils, Pineapple Saison, and Chocolate Mint Imperial Stout...I thoroughly enjoyed them all (and yes, the Chocolate Mint legit tastes like a Girl Scout cookie!) I checked out Woodburn during the soft opening and absolutely loved it. The beer was delicious. They only had four on tap at the time. I tried a couple of different varieties and they all were good. The place looks great, the atmosphere was cool, it's dog friendly, what else can you ask for? I am super happy to see it finally opening and I look forward to checking it out often. read more

This is a classy joint. A great design inside and pair that with a series of delicious beers and you have a great concept. The Chocolate cherry stout is very very good. They have one tap from another local brewery which is nice to see. They offer food from Mazute but it is very limited menu. I found the chips and salsa to be ok but I wouldn't get it again. This place is a great spot for a few friends to relax and enjoy a couple of beers. My only complaint is the bartenders were not very attentitve. Most of them would stare at their phone all night. Not a huge deal but Id like to see them more attentitve. I will be back for sure! read more

Just recently opened. Went on a Thursday afternoon and there was a line to get in at 4pm. Feels uber clean and modern. They offer flights of three brews for $6. And have some great exotic elixirs being brewed including a Chocolate Cherry Stout which was delicious. Free parking behind the brewery. read more

Went there Sunday afternoon 5/7/17 after a game with a few friends. Wish we could have stayed longer. Cool, eclectic brewery in a cool, eclectic part of Cincy. The re-hab on this old brick building is incredible. The outside patio with cornhole will be a big draw in the summer. Cincinnati set the bar high for craft breweries, and this place exceeds expectations. Parking lot for neighborhood businesses next, and we saw open spots in front. But, I'd Uber it. You'll want to stay longer than planned, and the central location is not a bad Uber ride to most parts of Cincy and Northern KY. Get a seat near the large windows in front. Have been to Woodburn several times. Like the atmosphere and some good beers. It's nice that they have dog friendly policy. However, last visit experienced someone brushing their dog for several minutes...fur all over. Then several dogs participated in a team barking session for several minutes. This is a really nice brewery. They go outside the box with their beers. I tried a PawPaw Lactose Beer this evening, and it had subtle PawPaw flavor (I am a big fan of PawPaws, you should taste some if you don't know what they are), and the lactose wasn't overpowering. Overall, it was a very pleasant beer. The pumpkin brew had the spice flavor that was just about perfectly balanced with the pumpkin flavor and the sweet maltiness one might expect in a fall/winter brew. This was our first visit, but I see this becoming a regular stop on our local brewery circuit. read more

The Woodburn brewery however is different. Their beers are phenomenal. There wasn't one beer I disliked. The bar is dog friendly which is almost as important as the beer. Woodburn brewery and taproom is an impressive addition to the up and coming walnut hills area. I've been passing the taproom each day on my way to work at children's hospital and have seen the progress from day 1. They have done an outstanding job and taken their time ensuring that every detail is right. It has been well worth the wait. Not only is the beer fantastic but the ambiance and vibe of the taproom is rustic yet modern. The environment is family friendly. For the space they have, they really maximized the square footage. The bar seating, high tops, and bench style seating really makes this a great spot for all. For the soft opening they had 6 beers available. Our favorite was the Belgian wit and the cherry stout. Can't wait to try the others that are available after they officially open. Overall, Woodburn taproom is a must try. We will definitely be frequenting here! read more
