The "pros" for this cemetery is the location. It's away from highways and for the most part it…read morelooks peaceful. I had to wait a couple months to write about the "Cons" for the staff. Recently this year, my son has passed away. When the time came, to lower his casket, the young man in charge DROPPED him in the hole. My family and friends were shocked. No words can explain how my wife and I felt. At a time of grief, the anger in my heart was unbearable. A few weeks later when I was visiting my son, another funeral event was in progress. During that time, the workers was mowing the lawn in that very section not giving a shit, constantly passing by, left and right like it's no ones business. The boldness of the staff here are careless, full of contempt, and clearly inexperienced. And during that whole time, the young man in charge (the one that dropped my son) was standing there watching the whole thing just waiting to get it over with. For the family and those who are resting here, I hope God finds a way to resolve this issue.

Don't ask me why, but I love old things, buildings, clothing... and cemeteries. Cemeteries are…read moreliterally, the most peaceful place I can think of. This cemetery houses the remains of some of the first settlers of the town of Snohomish. It is a sister cemetery to the GAR Cemetery in Seattle. Established in 1889, there are 200 Union soldiers buried here. The "newer" side of the cemetery is very well maintained. The older part of the cemetery has fallen into disrepair. There are overturned and uprooted gravestones and vegetation overgrowth. The huge monument that stands in the middle of the cemetery is intricately carved, down to the hollow eyes that stare you down. A few of the locals say that when you drive or walk by the cemetery, the eyes follow you... Not scary at all looking at them up close. Also, check out my pics to see the hugest freakin monkey tree I have ever seen! must be some damn good fertilizer...

Update. I recently found out the female office manager…read morereleased MY personal information and situation to someone else. She caused problems and released Information she certainly should NOT have which was used in a LEGAL CASE. I was the sole heir/next of kin to my passed family member and she released information to someone else within the family who did NOT have permission to be apart of this in any way. This woman does NOT have your privacy in mind. I wish I never went here. She took orders and requests from this family member. This family member had NO prior paperwork and absolutely NO authorization with this situation, and this company or any permission anywhere, even outside of this company. I am blown away by the unprofessionalism. Never again. And do not recommend.

Let me start by saying this was the first time I've ever had to arrange funeral services for…read moresomeone. My mom had stated she wanted to be cremated, but we hadn't gotten around to choosing a place yet before she passed. When I called it was not during business hours so a dispatcher took down my information and said someone should be in contact with me in the next 45 minutes. I was calling to get a price quote. Since my mom didn't want anything fancy or a service (all she wanted was for the family to get together and enjoy a meal) my family and I just wanted the basics. When someone called back they were already on their way to pick her up. Believing that I was clear to the other person on the phone that I wanted a price quote this took me by surprise. Are you even allowed to say no at that point? Rather than cause trouble I just went with it. Later that day ***** contacted me to let me know that they picked up my mother and what type of cremation services were available. She was very professional and all business. Not an ounce of humanity during the phone call. We set up a meeting for later that afternoon to fill out paperwork. When my brother and I met with ***** in the office. She again was all business. It would of been nice to hear someone anyone at this point to have offered some condolences. Most of the paperwork was finished except one form that my other siblings that live out of state needed to sign. My brother and I left and thanked her for her time. Later that afternoon I received two phone calls to clarify some details. One of which was my siblings names from out of state. Because at least 3 out of four children needed to sign (two are out of state), she asked me who was the fourth child. I was shocked that she really couldn't remember that my brother was with me and had already signed the paper. Really? Overall, everything was handled correctly and we received my mom's ashes and death certificate within the allotted time. So, four stars for cost, three for the timeliness, and one to two stars for no compassion. I know that they may see this all the time, but at least act like you have some sort of sympathy.
