Driving up from the road and seeing the clean cut property is wonderful. But, then you start walking down the west hill to what seems to be the where those of Muslim and/or Islamic faith are buried. My grandparents are here. I appreciated how well kept the area was until I went to the west side down the hill into what seems to be essentially the, "international district". The grass is overgrown to the point of not seeing placards or head stones, there is trash everywhere and most definitely ignored by the landowners. Disgraceful. The staff (Melissa) are wonderful, but the blatant ignoring of an area almost completely making up of those who aren't white is appalling. read more

Do not pick this cemetery to bury your loved one. My father passed away a year & a half ago & they still have not completed the engraving on his headstone. He had signed a contract & prepaid for everything many years before he passed. It is so disrespectful to not Honor the contract & what has already paid for. I believe any cemetery in the area is much much better than Woodlawn. read more

I would not recommend this as a final resting place for your loved one. The place where my niece was layed to rest was chosen very carefully due to her father's religious/cultural beliefs. A stone was carefully chosen with beautiful words to remember just what a beautiful person she was. A bench was also put in place so that people could come and sit a while if they wished. Her death was tragic and way too soon and touched many lives. Now when I go to visit, her stone and the bench are hidden in bushes that have been allowed to grow over it. I find this extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. While I know my niece is no longer there, it would have been nice to see her families wishes ( and money) honored by not allowing the bushes to overgrow. It is a shame and a tragedy that it was treated with such disrespect. I would not recommend having anything to do with this cemetery. read more

Woodlawn Cemetery is a small, private, historic cemetery in Snohomish, WA. On a clear day, you can see the Snohomish River in the valley it overlooks from its hillside location. Sadly, I buried my husband there two years ago. It is a beautiful resting place for him and I am certain he approves. Melissa, one of the owners, helped me design the most amazing monument for him. It took a long time to get it completed. Mind you, Woodlawn is a small, privately owned and operated cemetery so they only order their granite and marble pieces a couple times a year. This was totally worth the wait and I am exceedingly happy with the results. You just don't get this kind of beautiful grave from a corporate chain of funeral homes. I recommend Woodlawn read more

My grandpa was buried at this cemetery in February. Our family was promised that Memorial stone will be placed in 6-8 weeks. Anytime we go there date will move. Today on September 22 I took my grandma to the cemetery with a hope to see grandpa's memorial stone in place. I was very shocked that it is still not there. I paid in full back in February. I believe this is a very disrespectful treatment to the family of decided. read more

The customer service and the owners are the rudest people we've ever had to deal with. My mom and I were there today to visit my grandpa's grave and the owner literally came and yelled at us because we had to leave since she had to dig another grave close to us. We were looking at her in shocked because she was screaming at us and she kept saying " Do you understand what I'm saying?" I finally told her, she needs to calm down. She is so rude and so disrespectful I would give this place zero star if it was possible. I would recommend everyone to stay away from this business. The cemetery is so unorganized and she is walking around always in her PJ's like she just got out of bed. Even when there is an event and people would look for something more professional. Also, at the memorial, they charged us for a tent and chairs which we never got and she said it was because we arrived early and she wasn't willing to refund us. I have gone out there several times and the gal that runs it with her husband is always helpful and pretty knowledgeable . Her and her husband are the only 2 people that work there. He is 3rd generation as his Grandparents bought the place in the 50's when a lot of the graves were under forest. They worked hard to repair and reclaim and keep up what they have. read more

I have used the service for some time since both my late husband and mom buried in the green section. The location of the cemetery is ideal, away from the crowd and up on a hill. On a clear day, you could see surrounding trees and Snohomish river not far. What set the business apart is really the owner, the couple named Michelle and Joe. It is a business passed down from their family. They care a lot about people because they remember every detail about the deceased and their families. My late husband was buried five years ago, Michelle still to date remembers the design I sent to her for his headstone and kept it in her collection book. She even recently sent me a picture of the peach tree in front of my husband's headstone that bore two peaches back in 2017 since every time I went to the cemetery, that tree was not doing well and eventually died as far as I could remember. So that picture she sent really meant a lot to me. I recommended this place to one of my friends when her husband passed away. It's been over a year since they buried her husband, but my friend hasn't even started the design of the headstone. The other day when I was at the cemetery, I wanted to pay tribute to my friend's husband. But I couldn't find the spot since there wasn't a headstone. Michelle happen to be around; she not only remembered my friend's husband's name(Chinese name) but also found the plot for me right there. I was amazed!!! She must care so much that she remembers every name and detail about the person. I can tell both Michelle and Joe work hard to run the business and to please every customer. I would like to give them some grace and patience when things don't go perfectly because I understand when I hire them, they are not just completing a business transaction, but starting a relationship that will bring me sweet memories for many years to come. read more
