Awesome! This place was great from all angles. The food was super delicious. I'm not a fish person but the calamari was super tasty. The beet salad was really divine and creative. My chicken dish was amazing - the puree was super and the spinach was fantastic. I was less crazy about the steak, because though it was good - it was plain, and therefore didn't have the same mix of flavors the other dishes had. Service was super - the music was a little too loud for my mom and they actually turned it down for her! It's a little overly kitch inside for my taste, but I guess it's more fun that way. read more

My wife and I went here on a cold evening. The ambiance was inviting and cozy, just what we were looking for. Definitely had an upscale vibe, while trying not to look upscale. A great treat !!! We pooped in on a snowy Thursday nite and didn't want to leave . Between the friendly staff , real fireplace , the amazing food, creative drinks and great friendly customers it goes to show you can have it all The tigerlily cocktail was amazing and so was the eggplant crostini. Dinner for 12 celebrating our year end accomplishments for a well-travelled education department! We arrived promptly as they are particular about reservation times. setting is contemporary but earthy. you can see the meal prep area through a window which gives a nice feel without the noise. We ordered a variety of appetizers and entrees. All were good fresh authentic (however a couple of them arrived lukewarm) Since this is a "farm to table" organic sourced restaurant we enjoyed what made them unique. Even the liquor is not the norm, don't ask for Tanqueray. :-) We decided to go with red wine from Italy for the dinner. The wine sommelier Andrew did the selection of 4 bottles. He did a fantastic job of educating us about the various bottles and we selected one (see pic) as our favorite. The wait staff was OK, however the timing & pace of the meal flow was not in sync. Drink orders out step. Wine order was not taken until after we ordered so our entree arrived but wine was not ready and as mentioned a couple of entrees were a little cold. They really should develop a system. Note this was not a consensus review some of the group were not as favorable. Given that this is a fairly new establishment the hope it will improve. we gave a generous tip & we will return. read more

The food was just as delicious as promised-- just a few hiccups before we got to it! I got the bucatini bolognese; so good! Table started with a roasted beet salad and some of the tallow fries. Seating was a bit of an issue; we had a reservation and were seated nearly 30 minutes past that time. We were not alone in waiting, with the small lobby area becoming quite congested. That was the only flaw in the experience though, and it was uphill from there until we were seated in a room where a group of 14 walked in minutes later. Very noisy! Food and service helped redeem the evening but there was a sense of something being a little off all night. Maybe a second visit would let me know if that was a fluke. read more

Way overpriced and poor service. What can I say. The service was shockingly poor. Empty wine glasses and dIshes stayed on our table the entire meal. We saw our waiter 2 times. He greeted us and took our order. After waiting 15 minutes to order a drink I had to get up and track down the sommelier, who was very helpful. Our appetizer was 15 strands of pasta for $15 and very average. I had the burger and my date had the scallops. The burger was good, but no better than the burger I could get at the 99 across the street. The scallops were ok, but there were only 5 of them and the dish cost $37. The dessert was an apple pastry, very average. Back to the piling up of dishes. When our dessert was dropped off I had to ask the server to please clear the table as opposed to pushing our dishes around. I will say that we received incredibly fast service once the check was dropped off. Within 30 seconds of my taking out my credit card the waitress for the table next to us asked us if she could ring us out, then magically our dishes were getting cleared and I could hear the hostess saying that our table would be opening up in just a few minutes. Do yourself a favor, if you're looking for a restaurant for a special occasion and are interested in farm to table, look elsewhere. You'll be the ones treated as cattle here. read more

I have no major problems with the food. It's fine, but it's just, well, fine. At $100 for two people, I might be more satisfied, but when I walk away $200+ lighter, it's reasonable to expect more. The real issue here is the service. The last time we came in here, we sat down and waited to be served. And waited...and waited...it wasn't particularly busy. We had similar experiences on other occasions. Eventually we just walked out. With Trail's End in town now, I can see little reason to dine here. read more

The duck wings were very over seasoned, too salty to finish eating($22), the bolognese ($30) was like a heavy, thick paste that tasted like tomato paste, gnocchi ($30) was delicious but the sauce was overpoweringly lemon and oily. Loved our laidback, smiling waiter! And the maitre'd who came by and explained to us what made the beet salad taste so deliciously citrusy tangy -- the aleppo gastrique. And he even went back to the kitchen and brought out some aleppo flakes for us to check out. The food was also just SO good -- so many tastes, so many good little surprises, nothing phoned in. Great experience! Amazing food, atmosphere and service! I was meeting a friend for dinner in the area and found WHT on Yelp. I made a reservation online immediately and seamlessly. When arriving the hostess was gracious and sat us at a cute window table. The chairs are so comfy and the table was reclaimed barn wood. Lit candles on the tables and fresh flower arrangements everywhere. Beautiful! Server came over quickly welcoming us and explaining the menu. I used the yelp check-in promotion and got a free order of Tallo fries. They were amazing. Then we decided on the 3 course for $38. I chose the beet salad, the bolognese and the lemon tart. All were delicious! My friend had the mesclun salad, the burger and the maple pana cotta. She loved them all! I will definitely return! It is on the expensive side. But, when you're getting fresh, organic sometimes local produce and local, grass fed, hand raised meat, I don't mind paying more. read more

Our party was seated promptly and greeted by our server. The surroundings are pleasant and the music was nice. I struggled to find a "wow! I want to try that!" on the menu, and settled on the pork. The drink order was wrong and was corrected with apologies. The plated food, when delivered, was visually appealing, but gastronomically less so. The "schmear" of squash splashed along the rim of the plate was visually appealing, tasty but cold, and collectively totalled perhaps 2 TBSP, but that was the veggie. The 2 small pieces of pork were tasty, as were the mushrooms and corn bread, but at $32, I wanted to shout 'the emperor has no clothes!' at the other diners seemingly oblivious - or accepting - of the slow service, good but not great food, and high prices. I will say, the root vegetable pot pie and kale on my wife's plate were excellent, but the chicken breast was dry. read more

Fine dining doesn't have to be condescending- but seems like woodshill didn't get the memo. We were the only colored people in 8 tables on the patio, no points for guessing which table didn't get any service. The server pointedly ignored us while chatting with the another table and re-pouring their drinks. Made the mistake of ordering the pasta dinner for two via Doordash. I was shocked at how small the serving was for the $60 price. In fact I thought they must have left out the second portion. I called the restaurant, and was curtly told to take it up with Doordash. I replied that probably it was their kitchen who sent us a large-ish (for one person) container that was only half full, and that I thought there had been a mistake. Again: "Sounds like you got the right-size container. You got what you ordered. If you're unhappy call Doordash." What a disappointment for $60. read more

Okay, I have no real qualms with this place other than the price. I've been a few times now, with various family and friends, and each time the food is lovely if not a bit small, and the drinks are curated to be the best that they can be, HOWEVER, I have never gotten out of this place for less than $100. Which included a night with my mom to have a drink or two and split an appetizer. I also hear that the waitstaff can be condescending and aloof, but I have not personally experienced this so it does not factor into my review. Look, this place is fine. It's high end, intimate and warm. The food is top notch and the drink are, too. But the cost! Seriously, it's in West Concord. Across the street from a 99. There is no reason in Heaven or Earth why a tiny plate of beef can cost well over $40. read more

Came here twice and loved the drinks and food very much. The table service was excellent because Rob was fantastic. He was very responsive and had a great sense of humour. The bar service was average mainly because there were three bartenders and one bar back working the bar and it was a little more challenging to get a more focused and consistent service. I really dislike a place that acts as if it's doing you a favor by allowing you to eat there. I will give them this: they did a great job of converting the West Concord supermarket into a restaurant - the layout and decor are really nice, but not much else thrilled me. 21 bucks is a lot for a burger, while $44 for a 10-oz NY strip is, well, New York pricing. I had a lamb hash benedict. The lamb was more like crispy chunked belly fat fried. It was too heavy and would have been better if they had cut it into thinner pieces or smaller pieces. I was literally eating chunks of lamb fat which wasn't something I was expecting with the description of "hash". The eggs benedict portion of my breakfast was good. The table service was great during breakfast. I also was a little annoyed that they don't open the doors promptly at 11am especially if I can see you at the bar... Went for dinner a few Saturday nights ago. Overall, very good food but pricey. Charcuterie and Bolognese was wonderful, service was good as well. I have a few beefs though: 1. What immediately made me feel uncomfortable was the hostess staff making me feel inadequate because we didn't have a reservation. How dare I!!! It seemed like she was appalled. 2. They ran out of tons of food and drinks. They blamed it on being "slammed", which in some respects I understand but it was everything from entrees, cocktails, and beers. Frustrating, especially after my crappy run in with the hostess and now waiting over an hour for a table. 3. Charcuterie platter was served with literally a nickel sized portion of mustard. Seriously? For 26 bucks I'd think we could be a little more generous. Also, FYI, very uppity crowd. We sampled several different appetizers, including the oysters and beef tartar, and all were exquisite. Everyone enjoyed their main courses--salmon, burgers, chicken and the cut of the day. We had a good brunch at Woods Hill Table. I had the Crispy Lamb Bacon Hash, which was good. I thought there was a bit too much meat on the plate, specifically the bacon, but generally it was solid. They have an excellent hollandaise. I also tasted the eggs benedict over greens which was OK - again, the hollandaise made the dish. I also had a yummy mimosa. As other reviewers mention, it is expensive. And the food took awhile to come out (and the place was not full). I wouldn't go out of my way to go to this restaurant, but it's a solid choice for brunch in Concord. read more

First time at this place. My niece, MIL and wife have been here before together and separately with mixed reviews. This time was just my wife and I on a Friday night. Got the steak frites, steak tartare, beet salad and oysters. All were very good. Service was great as well. Nice place that was not too busy or big to take away from the ambiance. Would go back.
