They have some nice variety of gourmet sodas. They have some yummy root beer. They have lots of hard to find groceries. They have a great selection of chocolate delicacies. They have big bags of Lindt truffles - and really what else needs to be said. They have a good selection of coffee and tea. They often have a Didgeridoo or African drums or a Shofar. They have cool fake plants. I started out just giving them 4 stars because I am stingy like that. But, I now realize as I think back that they really do deserve a fifth star. After so many years of not visiting World Market I am so please to say I am still a MAJOR fan of this place. All their different items from all over the world and all their old timers stuff like soda bottles I've missed this place. The furniture is nice and the dining tables are AMAZING! Theodore has his dream dining table all picked out and everything for his home and everything. He is a HUGE lover of Cost Plus World Market!!!! They even have little toys for kids from different places. Customer service here is pretty good too. When I was looking at something I kinda dropped a case and broke the item inside :/ Theodore and I took it up to the front when we were pay ing and they took care of it like no problem and didn't hassle us or anything (breaking and buying) it was very kind of them :) I will most definitely come back for more shopping here I'll just be a little more careful next time. read more

I went there just for some Hawaiian products. First time that I've been there this afternoon. First impression: I'm happy to see some interesting items. Website brought me there and they delivered well. Some of the price of products are fair, but it's worth it. I also got a truffle salt and it is only $13 (3.2 oz) compare to William-Sonoma from Brea Mall, which it's only $30. I would come back later for some kitchen-related products. read more

Cost Plus World Market is kinda amazing. I always find what I am looking for and, usually, more. I always leave having spent well-more than my intended dollar amount, but I am always pleased with my purchases. This is definitely a sign of great business -- get your consumer to purchase without batting an eyelash at the total. I think half of the things in my house came from Cost Plus so I am keeping them in good business. If only there was one closer to my house. Actually, now that I think about it, it is probably better for my pocketbook that there isn't one too close. read more

They wanted to charge me full price, even though there was a sale sign posted right in front of product. She kept telling me that the price was correct, and I said there was a sign for the product being less. She finally asked another clerk to go check, and of course I was right... I wasn't too sure about this location possibly because it's not my local WM, but when I entered I knew this was not my local WM!! I just thought they would be similar to what I have in Palm Springs but now I just feel spoiled. I think we may possibly have the best WM. Strolled around with my girls and couldn't make it through most aisles as they were packed and not organized. I actually didn't want to shop after I went through the picture frames. It wasn't late in the day either so they didn't just have a major rush or anything. There was one cashier and he was friendly. That's all I saw on the sales floor. I think we bought a giraffe pen because ours back in Palm Springs is usually out of the giraffes. I would return if I was in the area only because I enjoy shopping at World Markets, but only if I was killing time again. The reason why I love this place so much, is because I always find something new I want to try every time I go in there. They have a large variety of great food products! I also like there alcohol selections. The wine here is pretty good. I like the way they organize everything. The key element to this place to make it more comforting is the service. I have seen some people get treated a little poor, but thats because those people were being rude. So they kind of deserved it. But when I go there, they always have a smile on, and joke around with me. Kind of like people you would want to hang out with sometime. My only dislike, is that I dont really like the furniture selection. Its not my style. But I mostly just come here for the back side of the store with all the food and drinks! read more

I had an amazing experience here. A sofa that went on sale for Black Friday was sold out online. I called several locations and most stores were sold out or had the sofa on hold for other customers. I called during Black Friday and the associate on the phone told me they will be receiving more of the sofa in the near future. They took my number and just kinda forgot about it cuz I didn't expect to get the sofa and was just going to buy the display at the Glendale location. Ruby the store manager at the Brea store called me two weeks later saying they had one on hold for me. I couldn't be happier and more pleased with the experience they even honored the sale price. I went in last Sunday to return a gift that a had been given. It was a jewelry holder. It had tags on it, because it was a gift I did not have a receipt. The checker was very nice, the manager was called over to help with the transaction. I was told that this item could not be exchanged or returned because it is classified as jewelry. It is not jewelry, it cannot be worn, there is nothing unsanitary about the item. I was refused any accommodation with no apologies. I won't be shopping for gifts there for my friends or family as I would not like them to be treated as I was treated or forced to endure unreasonable ridiculous policies that disregard the customer. absurd service! people skills? seriously? came here with the family since we were having an outing and we always enjoy browsing through the various wares this place has walked around with my son and let him pick himself a small treat, also gave him cash to get him to pay for the treat himself.. maybe learn a little something? anyways, waited in line, son goes up to pay.. mind you his treat was 1.99 so i gave him $2 cashier, young girl with red hair i think, rings him up and total comes out to 2.12.. i give him a dime since i literally only had two singles, a large bill and a dime in my pocket.. i ask the girl if she can let the two cents fly and she nods.. or so i thought he gives her the two bucks and the dime, looks at me and looks down at him and GIVES HIM A LOOK INDICATING its not enough.. no words, a look... what the shit? seriously? i ask her "seriously?" I'd always seen this store in various areas but never thought much of it because I wasn't sure what kind of items were sold inside.. I could've just read the name and come to the conclusion that it sold things from around the world but no... Anyway, I initially went into the store because I was on a quest to find my friend something called 'Mcvities Chocolate Digestives.' I like to think of myself as fairly worldly when it comes to food items but when she first mentioned it, I thought they were talking about laxatives. Seriously. But apparently these are like England's #1 cookie/cracker/biscuit or something and she had enjoyed them while studying abroad in London. To appease my curiosity and make her happy, I thought I'd try to hunt them down and someone mentioned this place as a good source. Yes indeed, I did find the chocolate digestives (Is it just me or is that just the most inappropriate name for a cookie or what?) and my friend was happy as a clam (Why do people use this expression and how do they know if clams are happy or not?). During my shopping expedition there I was pleasantly surprised to find all sorts of other food items, gift items, furniture and such that I would like to buy for myself (prices weren't too bad either and a lot of things were on sale as well). And so, another happy discovery for me whilst trying to find items for others. Two birds with one stone I say. Wow, Amanda at World Market in Brea is honestly one of the best managers around! Long story short: I had purchased over $1000 worth of items and could not remember what my membership ID was to get reward points. Not to mention, I also wanted to return three items and look for other items that were unavailable on-line. She literally went over and beyond so that I got my reward points, so that I would not lose out on my points, gave me $ money for items that were on sale and was able to find extra items I was having a hard time looking for on-line. Wow, what amazing customer service! And she so cares about her customers and wants to provide them with excellent service. Would give them more stars if I could, for trying to make things right. Bought a dining table set about 1 month ago and just last night had the time to clear space and get it unpacked and put together. When I did, I found there was significant damage to the table top, very stressed. Called today and spoke to the manager (first person to answer) who was all about making it better. Got my name and number, table style, and will get a replacement drop-shipped and the bad one picked up... which is great, because the top alone weighs around 150 lb., wasn't looking forward to packing it around again.
