Favorite place to go. Quiet location, easy access to everything there is in big bear. Friendly staff. We did go to the sales shpeel one year but fortunately at exactly 85 minutes into it my daughter, who was 2 at the time ran head first into the corner of a table so they quickly gave us the Amex card and hustled us out of there. As an easy way to end these hustles, convince your kid to run into a table or start screaming at a sibling, sales people hate that. The place feels spacious and roomy. No air conditioners so if there is a heat wave it will feel a bit muggy. We were there during one and sleeping was a bit rough for one or two nights but it needs to be real hot for that to happen. We are gonna be there in a couple of weeks so I am so thrilled to go back there, sans owner presentation. read more

Wonderful time here for a few days with family. Unit was clean and spacious, pool was beautiful surrounded by trees. We used the bbq on our patio and played in the little arcade. Stater bros and restaurants in walking distance. A 5 min drive to the lake. We enjoyed our time and hope to return in the winter. read more

I just stayed here this past weekend and it was great. Maybe it was the people I was with but I had a great time and will definitely think of staying at WorldMark again. I loved the cute look of the place: the red wood exteriors with roofs covered in snow was reminiscent of a small country town from some heartwarming Christmas movie The kitchen has all the right stuff, well more than I expected anyway. Unfortunately none of their pans were non-stick... which makes it difficult to cook hash browns. It was a pleasant surprise. There's a washer/dryer in the unit which is way helpful. They even give you a bit of detergent... but you'll probably want to buy your own cause there is enough for maybe one load. So in conclusion, I'd want to do THAT again. read more

Very nice has lots of things to do at the facility if you don't feel like going into town ie tennis, horse shoes, basketball, ice cream social and arts & crafts etc. They have dvd's and family games you can rent at the check in office. Had a great time :) read more

WorldMark Big Bear - Two bedroom suite - Hotels Near Me - Big Bear Lake, California

Despite booking in FEBRUARY for a trip in July, we arrived at the "resort" and ultimately were left with no accommodations. Upon arrival initially, we were told that we would be notified when our room was ready for check in- everything seemed fine and we toured the property and went into town. After receiving no calls/texts/emails, we returned at 4pm (check in time) and were told they had made a mistake and were overbooked; they then proceeded to hand us a reservation at the cheapest possible property in Big Bear; a unit too small for us miles away. The absolute worst part of all of this was the lack of consideration or caring on part of the staff- no one apologized, no one took accountability, and they blamed "computer glitches" and "third party booking" despite the fact that we booked through Wyndham's official booking service. Do not book a trip here unless you want to run the risk of spending hours traveling only to find yourself without lodging; this is the worst mistake that can be made in the hospitality industry, and rest assured that when this happens here there will be no accountability or even a considerate apology from anyone here. Take your hard earned leisure dollars elsewhere. read more

I was lucky enough to stay here with my sister as she is an owner. We had the most wonderful condo which was located right across from the pool, up high on a grassy knoll near the tennis courts. We sat on our patio every morning and had coffee, watched the birds play then we'd play some tennis and hot tub and swim before we started our day. The condo itself was really nice, with a flat screen tv. We walked down to Stater Bros to the RED BOX and got a $1.00 movie a few of the nights we were there. We also walked down to this awesomeeeeee pizza place which was next to their Albertsons. Overall, I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else...Unless it was a fancy cabin right on the lake. I like to play tennis, so this was just great!!!!!!!! read more

Not the closest to the slopes, but it still was a heck of a location. Within 5min driving distance to where ever you'll need to go, the service and amenities are always nice. Stayed the night here this weekend and it was amazing! Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, kitchen and dining room! With a balcony too. Sooooo clean and nice! It was juuuust enough room for our party of 8! Since there was a pull out bed too. When we got there, the condo was equipped with a dryer, washer, pots and pans, cups, plates, utensils, and even SPICES! Including salt and pepper! Peeeeerfect :). By the morning, we ran out of spices and whatnot and room service was there to refill it for us right away! Plus, this location is only 3 miles away from snow summit so it was perfect for boarding all day and coming home to relax! :) Really wish we had time for the hot tub and other facilities :( read more

We've stayed here a few times, and every time our visit is beautiful. They recently started remodeling the rooms, on our last visit we stayed in an updated room, it was beautiful! The rooms are clean and perfect. The facilities (game room and pool area) are clean and well maintained. The front desk is always polite and helpful. Wow! Absolutely gorgeous location and friendly staff. Very clean and modern. This place really exceeded my expectations. My family stayed here this past weekend (January 9-12, 2016) We had a great time. The 3 bedroom unit was very spacious and well equipped. There's a Vons and Dollar Tree right up the street which was convenient and the village was not too far. The kids enjoyed the back yard area and build an igloo and slide for their sled. Sooo unhappy. Been here for over two hours check in time is 4pm and our condo is still not ready. Booked through Air BnB (novice move not checking that condo isn't rented owned) and they didn't have the reservation. We had the owner on the phone and telling them he was the owner and we were good to stay there but until their "reservations" department changed the name (which could take at least 2 hours to happen) they couldn't do anything. Finally we were able to check in only to find out our room wasn't ready. This is a joke. Truly horrible. We are only up here for a day and have spent a large percentage of it in the community room instead of being able to enjoy Big Bear. These places suck in general but this has been a particularly terrible experience and I wish we had just canceled all of it and gone elsewhere. So disappointed. To the point of tears as a result of frustration for ruining what should have been a fun trip. read more

I'm more a nature person and my husband is more of a city person. Well my husband seems to be enjoying himself because he mentioned that when the kids are grow we should move up here. My husband and I came with the kids for a week. Customer service was great! Beds were hard as a rock. All hdmi inputs were disabled. Only jacuzzis were available. No pool during winter. Time share presentation is supposed to be 90 min long. It was almost 4 hours long. read more

We just got to big bear and the facility is very nice. The man at the desk was very kind and patient since we had never been here before. He took his time to explain where the nice restaurants are and where too go and where not to go. Then we got to the room which is very roomy it has 3 televisions and plenty of places to sit down and eat along with a Murphy bed and a full kitchen. All of the artwork and bed frames are all have the cabin feel along with the carpet and hardwood floors they even have an island that really sets it apart. you're only about a mile away from the lake where there is plenty of trails and walking that you can do. Both me and my girlfriend decided to go check out the town and see how nice big bear is but for now the facility is fantastic and world mark gets 5 stars as usual. read more

I won't be staying here again after a horrible experience this past weekend. We booked the unit through Big Bear Vacations and check-in was fairly seamless. We booked a one bedroom for a max of 4 people, but with the enormous bed in the bedroom, couch and murphy bed in the family room, this place could have easily slept 6. The unit was clean except for some trash on the counter. The downside - something happened between the front desk and Big Bear Vacations. As I was cooking dinner with my 4 year old and 13 year old running around, I heard the front door open and 2 people came marching in, a man and a woman. I was shocked as were they. They said it was freezing outside and that they weren't going back to the front desk. Extremely nervous and uncomfortable with random strangers being in my unit with just me and my kids, I called the front desk while these people hung out in the kitchen and the front desk said to send them to the front desk. I hung up and told the woman that, and she starts cussing (in front of my toddler) and marches over, grabbing the phone and calling them back, insisting that they meet her at our unit. Eventually they convinced her to come to the front desk to get the situation resolved. That's the last I heard from WorldMark. No one called to apologize or try to make things right. I called them the next day and asked for the manager who left me a VM back hours later. I called him back when we got home and he was very blase about the whole thing. He blamed Big Bear Vacations (while Worldmark is the one who gave out keys to new occupants without the previous occupant checking out) and took no responsibility whatsoever. With the recent events being as they may, I may be extra sensitive to safety-issues, but my kids were scared and so was I. No one can assure me that there is any measure in place to ensure that this doesn't happen again. All that the manager said was...these things happen. They will happen again. Comforting. At the end of the day we've stayed at this property before and enjoyed it, the units are nice enough. The customer service surrounding this issue was horrible, I don't feel safe on this property, and won't be returning, nor would I recommend it to anyone I know. read more

Time frame for extension was not base on time frame for epidemic.Due to work schedule arrangements for reservation was always not available and I'm at point of losing almost all off my point 7500, they will not make a extension even when where still dealing with the epidemic. The package that I received was a trial package with all the promises that a regular membership would have except the location tried to make numerous attempt to make reservation with my schedule but was not able to. A ONE time extension was made and that was it no one to talk to other than Lilly and Asia no help $4,000 down the drain not a good package watch out for the discovery package is not as flexible as the full package that's not affordable and this is way of them taking you money and not being able to use your point. We are completely happy about our room, parking, location, staff, cleanliness,and activities and we plan to continue booking this timeshare at least twice a year. Our family loves it! read more

My one compliant is when is snows you are on your own getting your car out of the parking lot so bring a shovel. I have to pay for WiFi??! This is ridiculous I can go to to McDonald's and get WiFi for free.. And even when you do have to pay for it it's such a hassle and not cheap. So annoying, for having to pay $600 a year in quarterly dues (that's only about a weeks worth stay here by the way) you'd think they'd have this covered. This whole timeshare is a moneypit the only reason we stay here is Cuz my dad bought into it years ago. You have to pay for EVERYTHING. Oh yeah they like to give you the tiniest possible salt and pepper shakers... We got more cinnamon than salt, wtf? Let's talk about the "parking pass" BS. You don't need a parking pass we've stayed at worldmark for over 10 years and never need one. The only reason they do that is to get you to come to a meeting to sell you additional timeshare credits... Are you serious?! I'm on vacation and you're harassing us calling our room, we always disconnect our phones when we get in the room Cuz they're constantly calling trying to sell us something it's ridiculous! It's the small things that really annoy me about this place overall it's clean and well organized but... Ugh read more

So my parents are owners. We joined them in April to celebrate their 41st wedding anniversary. Parking is a real issue here, not enough spots, we have a toddler and luckily enough my parents have a handicap plate so we didn't have to park on the street. Haven't been here, this location, in 12 years and it still looks great. Sadly my dad got sick while up here. They called several times and tried to get both of our families to go to their meeting to show off promos and try to get us to buy, or my parents to buy more. We declined. I answered the phone 4 times and said no, it was at least two different people that called. My son had fun running around the tiny park and inside the lodge. It was in walking distance to stater brothers, their is a connecting drive way, you can only walk you can't drive. The alpine bob sled was an awesome thing to do while we were here. We also went for a small hike which was really nice. We hadn't been to big bear in 2 years and the lake is so much lower, which does make me so sad. Village is still great area to go to and they also have a "brewery", nothing is brewed there all down the mountain. read more

Got hooked up with someone's timeshare here for the weekend. My only regret is that the timeshare belongs to someone else and I probably won't be able to come back. Not a fancy posh mountain getaway, but clean and quiet, the way I like it. Front desk staff was friendly. The one-bedroom upstairs condo was bigger than my apartment. The bed was super comfortable and seemed new, so perhaps they've heeded the comments about uncomfortable beds. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the basics: knives, plates, bowls, drinkware, cookware, etc. Only complain: no wifi. If you want to get the internets, you have to pay $5 and pick up a modem thing with an ethernet cable, and then you need a bunch of information from the owner of the timeshare. So, if you want internet and you're a guest (NOT AN OWNER), plan before your trip. read more

We're Wyndam owners. Check-in experiences can vary depending on the day you check-in & holidays but the service is good. I've had no problems. Hanging in the (outdoor covered) jacuzzi while it's snowing is a fun experience. Recreation room has table tennis & arcade. There is a playground for little ones as well as basketball & tennis court. This resort is 10 min from Bear Mtn & Snow Summit. We are snow bunnies so we use this resort annually in the winter. We have not yet stayed during summer time. read more

We went to Worldmark Big for the weekend and found bedbugs! My wife was bitten over 40 times and I was bitten 10 times. We have never been bitten by bedbugs before and it is a miserable experience. They moved us to another unit after we reported the bedbugs. There were Ecolab pest control trucks all over the property all weekend. I would stay away from this location. We still have the bites over a week later. Overall, this was a horrible experience that will keep us from taking a vacation for quite some time. read more

This resort is so nice, we have 2 bedrooms apartment, so cozy..hawaii weather, it rained , storms, hailed, 2 hours later, sunshine again. pretty cool. The resort is spectacular, has everything you need, from recreation center to bbq in your apartment. We were there friday to monday, apparently quite time is at 10PM, on sunday were still on vacation mode, Yes we got our first warning. So they are very strick when it comes to quite time. SO much to do, we went hiking, bike ride, zipline, the zoo. we kept the kids busy for sure. And we didnt spend much on outings, basically just groceries and liquor. My first time staying here. I've stayed at the Palm Springs Location. I loved it here. Staff was super nice. Had a playground and arcade room with games, pool tables, ping pong, and air hockey. The place has a basketball court, tennis court, and horseshoes. Was very clean and quiet. Kitchen was fully stocked with plates, cups, silverware, seasonings, and much more. I will definitely be staying here again..... as for the complaints I see here for timeshares. We just didn't answer our phone when it rang (front office only called one day on our 2nd day) we were here 5 days and didn't get bugged once! And we had to visit office for a basketball and board games! read more
