I came back late afternoon and one of the mechanics explained that a plate covering up a reservoir in back underside of my SUV had become loose and was causing the rattling. The mechanic tightened up the screws and my car was fine. I was so relieved! Then, I realized, the mechanics here are HONEST! I stared at him for a few and he just smiled. ( I guess) so they came in today and fired him. he and 3 other guys had been targeting him and telling everyone to get him gone. today a store called my husband and said they are coming to fire you at 2:30. ( that's exactly what they did.) I have never wrote a bad review on a company but this is so wrong. They make fun of him because of his fingers being cut off. The new district manager was with them. he was actually nice. The other 3 have made if their mission to fire him. They got their wish today. BUT he's a awesome man he will come out on top. just wanted people to know about the store on seminary in Fort Worth. You CAN call EVERY SINGLE CUSTOMER HE TOOK CARE OF ASK THEIR OPINION. I have no doubt that they can do a good job, as seen with these other positive reviews, but in the same manner that they are professionals in this field, I am surprised they did not find anything wrong with the master cylinder, which does have a direct influence on the clutch. Dave mentioned multiple times that his men did not find an issue with the cylinder at the time of inspection, so "technically" they did their jobs. I should point out, that Dave also said that they test driven it by 10 miles. 10 miles and no issues apparently, yet 2 miles of our struggle before the car gave out. I attached 2 new photos showing the odometer. Unless the paper printed on the day I picked up the keys aren't up to date (and if so, why was I given paperwork that's not up to date?) I am hesitant to believe the car was test driven. With the complimentary oil change + 10% discount on next repair offered, my boyfriend is very open to bringing his car back and if next time the car is properly serviced I am willing to update the reviews. ***** EDIT (Morning of 6/1/24): Tried calling your "24/7" assistance listed on your website. The men at the front were also responsive, informing us of the costs, labor, & parts that need replacement. Take a look at the photos for the amount of things replaced. Cost? Over $2k. And because Ichiban closes on the weekends, you'd think they'll make sure their Friday clients would be ensured that their cars would be drivable. Unfortunately, not us. As my boyfriend was flying back from a work trip, we couldn't get his car till 10 PM, long after Ichiban closed. At 10 PM, we retrieved the car, excited to drive it when... HIS CLUTCH IS LOOSE! Both of us tried it and it feels wrong. NO resistance on the clutch pedal, and he couldn't put the shifter into gear! How is this acceptable! He managed to drive the car off premises but as he got closer to my apartment, literally 2 miles away, he had stopped because he couldn't change gears anymore. That's right, 2 MILES by 11 PM, my boyfriend and his car remain stuck on the side of the road, parallel parked at some street and praying that he doesn't get towed. I did not pay over $2k just to retrieve a car that's not operating properly. Did anyone even test drive it? You guys had the car from Wednesday till Friday. Called me at 9:30 AM stating it's ready, and I didn't even come till 2 PM to pick it up, giving you guys plenty of time to test drive/check for any errors/tighten any loose ends. Since Ichiban is closed, our night, our weekend, is ruined. I really wished I could've given this place 5 stars, the men were nice but the service we received is unacceptable. All six of our kids have had work done, from brakes to suspension, a/c, electrical, you name it. I'm critical about whoever the person is that touches our cars and they've proven every single time they deserve my trust. They've always been incredibly fair, they source great replacement parts and they always amaze me how fast they can turn even the complex jobs. Pricing has always been excellent, too. They take their time to explain everything they worked on, show you the old parts and are really patient in doing so. They've recently added a new mechanic, George, and he is equally friendly and eager to help. He's also got a great skillset brings even more quality to the shop. They've watched my kids grow up and know us all by name. While most any other shop is happy to take your money for even the simplest car needs, they encourage and teach my kids to do the simpler stuff themselves that don't really require proffessional service. That alone tells you how reputable they are. I highly reccommend skipping the headaches of overpriced dealership service departments, the gamble of letting a teenager change your oil at a chain store and other shops that give you a 12-page quote about all the critical problems they discovered in their "70-point check" when you simply ask for a tire rotation and take your business to Kal, Jake and George at Kwiker Tune and Lube! Avoid this place. I purchased a Groupon to get an oil change for my Camry due to there being a HUGE…read more(alleged) discount. When I arrived, they claimed that they only have fully synthetic oil (the most expensive) in stock for my very common vehicle and never semi (the most affordable). I had to end up purchasing a NEW Groupon for the most expensive service and on top of that, they charged me an extra $9.41 for "taxes and fees". I contacted Groupon and they confirmed that businesses are NOT allowed to charge any amount of taxes or fees outside of Groupon for the services purchased via their Groupon website. Companies are required to raise their prices on Groupon and NOT unexpectedly charge customers under the table. The guys that work there are very sweet and that's what distracts you from the fact that the company itself has sketchy policies that take advantage of "gullible" customers. There are days where you don't want to cross me or rub me wrong. Today was one of those days. I do not put up with businesses that take advantage of their customers. The only reason I ended up getting serviced there was because I was in a hurry and needed the oil change to be completed immediately as I was about to go on a long drive.
