Went here for the first time for lunch. The bento boxes were okay. I was hoping none of the fish would be fishy tasting, but a couple of the pieces were. I was disappointed when we ordered the sushi and sashimi bento boxes and ended up with chicken in it. We tried one of their rolls and it was absolutely delicious. When we go back, I would stick with all rolls the next time.

Got a spicy crunch roll to go. I asked for light on the sauce and light on the crunchy, and that preference was honored. inside was a good content ratio of rice and the mixture of shrimp, cucumber, egg, imitation crab meat. Overall, taste was pretty satisfactory, and I enjoyed every bite of the sushi roll. The price is pretty satisfactory as well as it was about $10. They have a special menu for discounted items when you walk in, so don't just rely on the menu outside the door. I was between two items, and the front desk person immediately recommended this one, lol.

My friend and I stopped by Wow Sushi for dinner this past Thursday since it was a convenient location for both of us. I haven't been to Wow Sushi in over a decade (!!) but I'm glad I was able to try it again. I do think the salmon quality here is better than most sushi restaurants in this area and would recommend this sushi spot. One thing I didn't like was how pungent or strong the soy sauce was. I would barely dip my sushi in the soy sauce and the whole bite would be too much. YELLOWTAIL SCALLION ROLL - 5.50 This comes with six pieces of yellowtail & scallion maki - a true staple. The yellowtail was fresh and it's a typical yellowtail & scallion roll. The pricing is cheaper compared to other restaurants, so I'd definitely recommend. SUSHI SASHIMI BOX - 17.95 This comes with a miso soup, a spicy tuna roll (I subbed it for a salmon roll), Wow salad, four nigiris and a variety of sashimi. For the amount of food I got, this was pretty worth it. The miso soup was passable but nothing worth remembering -- good appetizer, I guess. The salmon maki was good because the salmon was fresh and had an ample amount of fat that made each bite worth smiling about. The Wow salad had a nice sauce, but similar to the soy sauce, it was too strong and too much. I couldn't finish my entire salad because it was way too saucy. The nigiris were fine, and I particularly enjoyed the salmon and red snapper. I wasn't a huge fan of the tuna or shrimp here. Similarly to the sashimi, I really enjoyed the salmon cuts, red snapper and squid, but the others, not too much. Some hits and misses, but I'll know for next time. The service was fast, and we got our food pretty quickly after we ordered.

Have never dined in so can't comment on service, but takeout is always great and they are pretty accurate on pickup times. My favorites from here are the Spicy Tuna, Sexy Roll, Chris Roll, and the seaweed salad. They have monthly specials as well where they offer 25% off certain rolls and dishes, so ask about those.

WOW! Wow Sushi is a hidden gem of Troy. Their menu has a ton of options and has images of every roll they sell! The sushi rolls were fresh and tasty! The meal came with a free small cucumber appetizer as well.

Located in a strip center right next to Orange Theory Fitness, Wow Sushi is a great little find. While searching for sushi near me I found this place after searching online for another sushi bar seeing as the restaurant I normally go to was closed today. This cozy little spot has just enough seating, plenty of outdoor parking, and friendly staff. The interior of the space is calm and relaxing with yellow walls and pictures of sushi posted all throughout the space. I ordered the California Roll and a side of Edamame. Both came out at a reasonable time and taste great! I asked for Gluten-Free soy sauce and they brought that out too! Overall, I liked the food, service, and atmosphere. I'll be back!

This is one of my favorite sushi places in Michigan. It is so much better than Noblefish and still relatively cheap! The rice to fish ratio here is perfect! Other places put way too much rice. The wait staff are also really nice. They usually give you a small cucumber salad with your order. They have all the classic rolls and some special rolls which are a bit more pricey but are bigger usually. My favorite roll is the simple white tuna roll which isn't always available everywhere. Can't wait to go back again for my next sushi fix. read more

I'm from CA so it's hard to impress me at many sushi places here in MI but WOW Sushi is pretty darn good! Friendly service, very fresh fish and many tasty rolls to choose from, from simple to specialty. Great service and food, can't complain! read more

Hands down my FAVORITE sushi restaurant of all time, & I eat sushi quite often. I'm there at least once a week and I don't see that changing. They're decently priced for the best tasting rolls around. I don't eat raw sushi, but all of the cooked rolls I get are amazing. I get the tempura california, the dynamite, the spicy crunch, the spicy crab, the salsa roll (a fav), the sunday morning, many more... you really can't go wrong. Also, they have a fried potato appetizer that is amazing, along with their amazing wow salad and delicious spicy crab salad (that's not featured on the menu, but they always serve). Whether its take out or dine in, wow always hits the spot. Definitely a place to try! read more

Rock & Roll, salsa and dynamite rolls were fantastic. I've never had a better salsa roll. The service however.... unfriendly and rusty. Didn't even see if we wanted anything else, just dropped the bill on the table. Disappointing in that respect. read more

Overall, not impressed in the slightest. Just moved to the 16 mile and John R area, but I will continue to trek to Nobel Fish. The sushi was on the expensive side for what you get. I think that they have to hit you hard on the food cost due to the lack of a liquor license. Sorry guys, but 30.00 should be enough to satiate me. The rolls were small, with mostly filler. It will due in a pinch...but you would be better served going to Ronin or NF. read more

Absolutely the best sushi restaurant Troy! I am obsessed with the California tempura roll, twister roll, yumyum roll, and calamari roll!!! An old friend of mine who works at a sushi restaurant told me that the chefs at Wow use only the freshest ingredients and are EXTREMELY clean! Awesome food, totally reasonable prices and overall a great vibe. This little sushi joint has great servers and overall service helping make the customers feel welcome. I eat a lot of seafood and am very familiar with sushi but for people who are not as familiar or trying sushi for the first time this is an awesome place for that too. The menu is full of pictures of each item so there are no surprises! Overall great food, service, and environment all for a great price! read more

One of the best sushi places around. Don't let it's location or size fool you - it's a great restaurant! I've had a number of their sushi rolls, their udon, teriyaki chicken, tempura and mochi ice cream. There really isn't anything bad to say about Wow Sushi - prices can't be beat, service is incredibly nice and fast, and food is fantastic. I come here about once a month and never regret it! read more

I've been to many many sushi restaurants in Michigan-Hana,wasabi,Sakura etc...but wow sushi is the far best sushi restaurant. Rolls are all really gianormous-the price is reasonable compare to the size of the roll, food comes out really fast and the service is quite good as well! read more

I love WOW sushi. The prices are great, portions are great and the selection is great. Some people are saying that the rolls are not very big, which is true, but they are rolled with precision! I have been to some places that have larger sized rolls but tend to fall apart when picked up with chop stix. The salsa roll and rock n roll are my 2 favorites. The spicy sauce that they use on some of their rolls is amazing. The service is fantastic - very friendly and fast. The menu is very descriptive and has a picture of every roll so you know what are you ordering. They have a great selection of rolls as well as other traditional Japanese food. Very impressed with the selection. The decor is wonderful. It makes the small dine in area very intimate even when the resturant is packed. There are dividers (linen screens) between every table that help with privacy. Clever idea for a small space! It may be in a strip mall but don't let that fool you. This place is big on quality and value, especially for sushi in the Troy/Rochester area. read more

I think I have found a regular spot for my sushi fix!!! I am absolutely in love with the Wow roll and TSY roll. The age dashi tofu appetizer was just OK but I am more than willing to come back and try other rolls. Their chicken katsu was also perfectly cooked with a delicious thick dipping sauce served on the side. Service was prompt and friendly. read more

Had a Wow roll (how can one resist to try the namesake!). Very well done - 4 types of fish rolled into one. The roll was a bit on the large size, slightly larger than bit size but still comfortable enough to take in one swoop. Also had the gyoza appetizer which was tasty and had a crisp outer skin but not overly so. And also a somewhat standard spicy tuna roll which was pretty good too. The prices were average for sushi places. Went on a Wednesday night so it wasn't overly crowded but with only one server who also cleared tables and handled payments, she was a bit overwhelmed. Still she was friendly and tried her best to be attentive although not always succeeding. Still I would return and try some of other items on the menu. read more

Loved this place! The quality to price ratio and friendly service make this a great spot to go to when your craving sushi and you don't want to break the bank. I like when a restaurant offers not just rolls, but also traditional nigiri, chirashi, sashimi, etc. Unlike some other high end restaurants that offer a minimal menu and charge up the wazoo, this place is a no nonsense no frills place. This is my go to place for lunch during the week! I LOVE their sushi. The only downside is it gets pretty busy for lunch and they usually only have one server on. But, they are still very quick about getting their food out. read more

American Dream roll is amazing!!! I thought I would never have it or the Yum Yum roll again once Tokyo Sushi on Mound Rd closed down. The sushi was fresh and well priced. We got 10 rolls for 65 and they were all amazing. Wow sushi is my new fav sushi spot! read more

I love the serve yourself bonchon, their items were so good. The kimchi was pretty sour, the fishcakes and kimchi pancakes were my favorite. I love the cucumbers, especially the one with sliced jalapeños. Those were so good. We got a couple sushi rolls, some black bean noodles, spicy pork, soy garlic popcorn chicken, ramen, and a chicken bao. The only thing I was not overly impressed with was the bao, it was just the popcorn chicken and not worth the price. But they rest, I felt the prices were great and the portions were big. They also had tea, which was nice. This is a great place and I look forward to visiting again soon.
