I set up an appointment to have my truck looked at my a wrench mobile mechanic between 3-5 pm. I was monitoring the site for updates since my truck was at my grandparents house. I noticed my appointment went away on the website like it was never there. I had to call in and verify my appointment was still good and see why the job disappeared. The representative had no idea for either issues and reassured me my appointment was still good, but I had to update my number again. Well about half hour later I got a notice the payment tried coming out of my account which I thought was weird since I still had two hours before the scheduled appointment. My grandma tried calling me to let me know someone was there to look at my truck, but then left. I called Wrench back to see if it was them and apparently the mechanic figured he'd just stop by two hours early w/o messaging to see if it's even ok, or if I'm available. On top of this ridiculous lack of communication, and poor work ethic the mechanic tried to charge us anyways w/o even looking at our truck. They said I had to reschedule since the mechanic already left and no others in the area. I highly suggest to anyone looking for mobile mechanics to stay far clear of Wrench since they can't even stick with scheduled appointments and can't back the mechanics they use! read more

Scheduling was relatively easy and the mechanic showed up on time. But they charged me almost $800 to detail 2 small SUVs. They did tell me the price up front -- I misread the e-mail and thought the almost $400 was for both cars. They need to be clearer with thier pricing. If I could give negative numbered reviews, this would be one of the few. I thought I was getting a great experience with my timing belt change, but I ended up with a disaster of issues. After dealing with broken connections, failure to finish the actual job, and an AC function issue. I still haven't gotten any assistance from the office via email except "We'll need to schedule a time to figure out what we need to do," to "it'll be a charge of $110 to take a look at the issue. Dani forwarded my case to Bill who called to apologize for my previous (second) experience with Wrench and explained the understandable reason behind charging more for self-provided parts. He sent Mike next day who knew, based on my issue, exactly what the problem was and fixed within minutes. Thank you all so much! I called wrench told them exactly what was wrong with my vehicle. A mechanic arrived taking pictures without my consent. He then doubled the quoted price. When I declined he left saying nothing a month later.A month later I was billed for the cost of the quoted repair.They will use the pictures to create a fake diagnostic fee. Beware they are no longer on BBB website and will charge you for services not provided. I would run not walk away from this so called business. read more

I have always dreaded going to a mechanic due to various shops taking advantage a a woman who doesn't know much about cars . I then stumbled across wrench and decided to give it a try . My 2011 Chrysler Town and Country would not start. I wanted to avoid having it towed, so I was told about Wrench. I got a appt. right away and David came the next day. He did a whole bunch of tests and ruled out fuel pump, starter, alternator. Then he determined it was a fuel sensor but he left the tool for determining what sensor at home and his home was in Spanaway and I am in Fairwood so too far to go and get. He scheduled an appt for the next day. Next day Clinton came out. He said the sensor was fine but his tests said the timing belt needed replaced and that was too big of a job to do outside of a shop. So now I have to find towing anyway. Had it towed to my regular mechanic. Told them the above story. 1st thing he said to me was " your car doesn't have a timing belt" WHAT! Clinton with 13 years experience working on cars should know this! Bottom line I paid 165.00 to Wrench for nothing! Car needed a new fuel pump! read more

I had a really positive experience getting a battery replaced. They got me in during the busy week before Thanksgiving, when everyone else was booked full. Robin was an excellent mechanic. He asked if I wanted him to look at anything else and he found the cause of a nagging problem (that another shop could not identify). There is a price mark up, but it seemed worth it to avoid paying for a tow. For my repair, Wrench charged about $230, when I got quotes for about $140 if I paid to tow the car. read more

Well I got my money's worth I had bought my shocks awhile back and YouTubed how to do it went outside Jacked the car up took a look at how small the space was and immediately went to find someone who could do it for me.. when I was younger I would have done it no matter how long or complicated...Anyhow was surprised to get an appointment In less than two hours Michael was out and on the job and he was 5 minutes early... so instead of sitting around in the waiting room for my car to be done I got to get late lunch keep my dogs company and watch Michael work via my security cameras and it was only 7.50 more than my regular shop I would definitely recommend wrench inc for all of your automotive repairs... read more

Did factory service on 2016 Range Rover. Showed up on time, professional, finished early!! Kids hopped in car and off to soccer. We live in Seattle so the dealer is way out of the way. Had 2 A/C diagnostics scheduled for 2 of our fleet trucks, one Thursday and then next the following day on Friday. I booked on Tuesday. On Wednesday, I received call saying A/C techs were booked out on Friday and would have to move our appointment to Sunday. I asked about our other appointment for Thursday and said that was still good. I received call on Thursday approximately 1 hour before our scheduled service to tell me that they cannot do the service, all the A/C techs are booked out till Tuesday the following week. This is very unprofessional and unacceptable. I kept our truck at our warehouse to get this done. I should have just taken it to our regular fleet mechanic, lesson learned. read more

I've used them twice now for an oil change and then a diagnostic because there was a gas smell in my vehicle...eeek!! The mechanics are very honest and transparent about what to expect and obviously very experienced and knowledgeable. My list of repairs was pretty long with fuel pump items and then some suspension work, so my mechanic told me that he'd communicate which items are the most urgent and the team would get me quotes so I can see just how much it'll cost me before booking the repair. I was able to drink my coffee in my pajamas on a Saturday morning while the mechanic diagnosed my problems. Ideal!! read more

I wish I could give this god awful company 0 stars. Just got charged $135.00 to put in a simple gear shift button on my 2012 Chevy Sonic . #1) I was not told that it would be a minimum of 1 hour labor of $110/hr. #2) I argued with the scheduler that it didn't need a diagnostic run because you could clearly see the problem if you looked into the car and the broken gear shift button would be staring right back at you. The problem was right in front of the mechanic's face but they chose not to believe me. #3) And then after the diagnostic is over, I get a text telling me "The diagnostic is done, if you need any additional work we will contact you." So, they left my car with a broken gear shift button and charged me an additional $60.00 on top of the $135.00 just to look at my car and not even fix the problem. #4) So then I had to call the mechanic and make sure that he went back to my car to ACTUALLY fix the problem and put in a new button so that I could safely switch in and out of the gears. And the whole replacement process for the button only took 10 to 15 minutes. And that's how my Sunday evening and whole Monday went. After dealing with this company, gouging out my eyes with a rusty spoon sounds like heaven. I had a 2:30 appointment scheduled on 09/23/21. 3pm comes and no mechanic. Called several times before someone actually answered and they said the mechanic has a flat tire and will be arriving shortly. 4pm still no mechanic so i checked my appointment online and they say there is a quote needing approval to replace my fuel pump. Hmm, first no one ever actually arrived to diagnose and second I no one has actually been out to see my vehicle. I called and, surprisingly, someone answered and said the fuel pump was "put on the wrong account". They are unable to reach the technician to see where he is. They offered to reschedule or continue trying to reach the technician. No discounts or anything to put my mind at ease that I am not about to be scammed. Loved the Idea of having a mechanic come to my house to fix VS having to tow the vehicle into a shop but this is getting ridiculous with the lack of communication on their part and not knowing who or what they are billing for. UPDATE Lee the mechanic arrived and was great. He was unfortunately not able to diagnose the issue as diesel is not his expertise but he was very friendly and gave great advice on what I can do next to try and get this $70000 lawn ornament back on the road. I wished I can give them stars in minus or no star. They are very unprofessional and try to charge you or you can say try to Robb you by not completing there job in first time. It's very easy to book and they came on time also but after that when they Finnish there job you feel very good that it's very easy they are very helpful. But they left my car showing me some new problems which is never showed up before and when we call them they said oooo it's different problem you have to pay again. They just want money from you. I changed my Toyota Camry hybrid battery and he came he change but he didn't re-set my system because he forgot his laptop and then he said now it's perfectly okey and he left now my car is showing me check hybrid system and giving me some new warning signs. If I could give negative stars I would. Please do not waste your time and money with this rip-off company. They claim to guarantee their work they claim to have real mechanics but I have been dealing with them since June and every time they touch my car something else goes wrong. For instance 6/27 they replaced my vacuum pump, a few days later the engine light came back on, stalling then 5 days later the car starts shooting smoke out of the exhaust like it's a rocket ship. they tell me I need the turbo replaced.. 18 days no car.. they come to repair the turbo on 7/28 I get home from work excited to go wash my car and it won't start. On 8/2 they come back for a diagnostic to figure out why it's not starting after the turbo replacement and low and behold my starter just happened to go out the same day they replaced the turbo. So now i set up an appointment for the starter to replace on 8/8/22 just 2 days ago.. they come out replace the starter the guy finishes and tells me that he took it for a run and everything's running fine.. 20 minutes later I go to get in the car and guess what? it won't start!! I immediately called wrench and they said they were going to send the mechanic back after his next job and then they call me back to tell me no they can't send him back because I didn't pay my $100 deductible. This is how these people work. I finally got my car to turn over and now smoke is coming out of the exhaust like it was before they replaced the turbo. My car is a 2018 with 64,000 miles on it. There is no way that by coincidence my car keeps having new issues every time they finish a job. So I reported them to the automotive Bureau to the BBB and I'm getting ready to call a lawyer. This is the most scandalous company I have ever come across. They are not trying to help me, they are only making excuses and demanding the 100.00 deductible. If you do not want to get ripped off or dont want your car to be worse off than original problem...stay clear of Wrench!! read more

I have to say I never had the service so I don't how it would have been. I never got past the "Request a Quote" because it said it would be $172 for an oil change. Not sure how their advertising gets away with saying "Less than the dealer" . The dealer fit me right in while I waited and it 1/3 the price. I have my own oil, filter, and air filter. Everything was great, until my car didn't work. Then I called a mobile mechanic service. Wrench! They sent out Glenn, like a blind date I was skeptical. Well, he was a gentleman and a knowledgeable mechanic. He diagnosed my cars problem within minutes and had it purring. Because things were going so great, I thought it might be a good idea to ask for an oil change. He told me the price, I said, I'll take it. Right then and there. He took his time and got all of it done. I was so happy. Imagine having your car worked on right in your own driveway! While you watched a movie on Netflix, that's the best! Now, don't get me wrong, I said he was a gentleman, and that he is. His expertise and timely manner is why I will have him back to fix my brakes. If you are lucky enough to live in Snohomish County, then you may get to meet Glenn. With two N's. Shhh, don't tell too many people. He may get too busy and then who will I call in an emergency? Beware of wrench. They aren't fair when they make a diagnosis mistake. I called wrench to diagnose a vibration in my Avalon. They drove the car and said it had bad motor mounts. I bought the motor mounts on Ebay for $169. and took the car to another local mechanic to install. The mechanic found that all motor mounts were good, and the problem was cv Axles. i paid Wrench $150 for a bad diagnosis. To be fair, I asked for $100 refund since they did make a trip here. Jay refused any refund. Now I'm paying restock fee on the motor mounts. read more

I had a great experience with Wrench! I don't drive a lot and I bought my first car at 26 so needless to say I am CLUELESS when it comes to doing my own repairs. When I purchased the vehicle I was told that I would need brakes in "approximately 5,000 miles". Enter Wrench - I got a quote from their website (v fair), booked the appointment online (so awesome), and had the mechanic show up on a Saturday to do the work (is this even real life?!). I literally stood in my kitchen and drank coffee while my car was fixed. My technician, Richard, was courteous and knowledgeable. Turns out he's a Honda master tech which was a mega bonus. If you live in North Seattle and own a Honda I cannot recommend requesting him enough. I truly enjoyed the service and will be using Wrench again in the future. read more

Excellent experience from start to finish. Online appointment booking and not having to tow my car to a shop was what attracted me to choose Wrench to diagnose why my car wouldn't start. Ray the mechanic was in communication on when he would arrive and took the time to understand my car problems before our appointment. Ray took the time to troubleshoot my car and was able to pinpoint a broken ground wire near the engine. He repaired the wire and got the car to start. I know I would not have gotten the honesty and effort from the dealer who has ripped me off too many times in the past. I will definitely be using Ray and Wrench in the future for our car repairs. read more

Originally I scheduled an appointment on Wednesday at 9 am. I took off a few hours of work and at 10am I receive a call(1 hour after appointment time) saying my mechanic would arrive at 11am. I rescheduled for Saturday at 9am. Friday I drank a few bottles of red wine and woke up at 11am to 1 missed call, 1 text, a $55 charge, and the mechanic's original artwork on the dust of my rear window of my vehicle. These guys are amazing! I've heard of mobile car washes, but this is a whole new level of mobile service. DO NOT USE this company, at least in Chicago! What a waste of time. This concept of getting your vehicle repaired where the car is located sounded suspicious. But if it worked, how cool would would that be? So here is the series of events that makes this company unprofessional and rather unethical. Booked available time slot for 10:00 am and provided company with my credit card information. Arthur was supposed to show up at my home at 10 am the following day. At 10:10 I get a call from Pete saying Arthur is not making the appointment because he had "car trouble". What? You're a mechanic! That should have been the 2nd clue...hiring a mechanic that can't fix his car. After several calls between Pete and I, I agreed to give them another chance. An appointment for between 3-4 for the same day was scheduled with Arthur the mechanic that can't fix his car.......well at about 2:58 pm Arthur called from a Seattle, Washington phone line to say he's on his way. Then he called again to say he's in front of my house. I told him I was looking directly outside my home, he then said He would be at my home in 5 mins.....after those 5 minutes he called to say he was on the north side of my address not the south side. That would be about 15 miles and take about 1 hour in Chicago. I despise liars.... this guy lied, this company lied. The good thing is that Pete agreed to not charge me the $50 cancellation fee.
