I had to wait around a month and my car still wasn't fully repaired. Parts were missing but they told me they would just call and pop the pieces on when they recieve them. I picked up my car since I was spending money on Lyft. I followed up for MONTHS. The guy answering the phone would happily say my parts didn't haven't come in yet and I never recieved a call back. They confirmed it can drive but I noticed they skimped on replacing parts. They mixed and match old pieces of my car with new pieces and had a shoddy paint job. My car insurance gave me the checks to give to them and they took the money and ran. Oh yeah, my rims have a specfic plating/paint job on them and I asked for the one side of my car that recieved the repairs match the othe side of my car. They said no. They stated along the lines of the paint job/plating for the rims was beneath them because it was "cheap". My original rims have a sleek black finish and they decided to put thos gray cruddy paint on it, oh yeah and it's chipping after years later. Meanwhile my other side, which was painted prior, is still in great condition. A waste of time and money.

I called and found out the owner/operator Tim wasn't too busy, so I drove down there and he gave me a ride back to work in my car. Tim called back in a few hours to get my approval on the cost and repair work. He then called back a few hours after that to let me know my car was done. He drove it back to my work all fixed up. Price seemed fair and I've got a new muffler that sounds like it's doing the job. He also told me I need to do a few more things but didn't pressure too much to get them done. If you are looking for an honest mechanic in the downriver area Hi Tech Auto will fix you up.

Don't waste your time…read more I came to the shop with 3 problems: -A sound from the right side of my car. I gave them instructions on how to reproduce it, just drive the car on the highway -My car needed a regular service -I wanted to reset a warning light on the dash. They wasted my time and I left with more problems. They told me they would get to it that day on site. Then called me and told me they would not be able to get to it till the next. They don't even inspect it till the afternoon of the next day, and want to keep the car for another day. The next day they told me they were not able to reproduce the sound. I go in and immediately reproduce the sound with a tech in the car on the highway. They say they will look at it. I leave. I come back and they tell me they "aren't a shop specialized in fixing that problem" go to a different shop. Fine, I appreciate the honesty. They give me my car back. I turn on the car. Sound still there, Car regular service timer not reset - Such a simple thing, if they're cutting corners here what else are they cutting corners on? Warning light not reset. I go back in , ask them to reset both warnings. They come back, warning light needs a physical part and they need another part that they want to charge me for ~20 dollars, and for me to wait another few hours. They did reset the service timer. At this point they've wasted enough of my time. I leave, paying few hundred dollars for the service and them having wasted 3 days of my time. I go to a different shop. The fix is so simple they fix it for free in 20 minutes. Also they spam you with advertising texts despite never asking. In summary: They didn't fix any of my original problems, needed me to micromanage them to follow basic instructions to diagnose, are slow and incompetent.

Would not recommend. I took a 99 VW Beetle in for air conditioning repair. The battery had died…read morewhile it sat in their lot over the weekend, they jump started the battery to get it in the garage and then they said they would not look at the air conditioner unless I replaced the battery at a cost of $500. Absolutely ridiculous pricing. It takes 15min or less to remove the battery. A new battery at auto store is $150-200. I said no thanks I will pick the car up and take it elsewhere . They then charged me $170 for their "inspection". I jump started the car to get home, took the battery out (took 10 min), took the battery to the local auto store where it was tested and the battery was still good. So here I'm out $170 for absolutely nothing and the air conditioner still does not work. I do not understand why they wouldnt just charge the battery and fix the A/C. And $500 to swap out a battery is absurd. Will never go back and dont recommend .

Had my car towed there and was told I needed a major tune up, cool authorized them to do the job came to pick my car up it "needed " an engine, cool paid for the tune up $775 then turned around and paid $3800 same day because they said I needed a new engine. Allegedly put in a refurbished engine told me it would take a week and ended up taking two weeks only to get my car back and needed a new engine in less than 2 weeks smh!! No communication! I have to call every hour for no results. I WILL NEVER BRING MY CAR TO HOLBROOK AGAIN!!!
