Unfortunately,…read morethat's shut down at the moment due to safety repairs, so I thought I'd throw this review in lieu of my stay this time around. I travel quite a bit for work which requires me to stay in hotels regularly. For how long this place has been around, I feel like the condition of the rooms and cleanliness is on par with most places that are getting to the point of needing those bigger renovations and updates. Hotels can only do so much in terms of piecemeal repairs and updates, and anything near water tends to get battered by the elements a little bit more than other places. I look forward to the dock repairs, so I can get back to catching bluegill, crappie, trout, and bass with my boy. A lot of great memories here. I hope to keep them coming.

It felt welcoming, clean, and had a relaxing atmosphere that set the tone for the rest of our visit. Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff made the process smooth and hassle-free. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable, making it easy to unwind after a day of exploring. One of the highlights was the beach and pool area. The beach was clean and relaxing, and the pool had an awesome vibe with a live DJ playing music throughout the day. It created a fun atmosphere without feeling overcrowded, making it a great place to spend the afternoon. Overall, this resort delivered a wonderful experience with beautiful accommodations, great amenities, and a lively yet relaxing atmosphere. We'd definitely stay here again!

Pillows were top tier. Everything else was kinda mediocre, the Red Bar was closed early... probably understaffed, there weren't any live events at night here, there wasn't any direct elevator from the Lower Level Lobby directly to my guest room. Felt like the property is really under booked with only a few rooms lighted up when I was down at the pool. Looking forward to reserve a tee time for their course next time. Property: 4/5 kinda old, but Alot of celebrities seem to frequent here Rooms: 5/5 very quiet, comfortable, and clean Concierge: 5/5 professional Ammenities: 3/5 they should allow locker room access to guests Last Opinions: Property is a tad bit dark, probably to conserve electricity, Pool access is way too far from rooms, feels like you need a golf cart to gain access everywhere. Interesting Fact: Pacific Palms is not owned by Magic Johnson, not sure why that's the rumor mill...but it is managed by the guy that developed the Staples Center.

Unfortunately the room had some plumbing issues and the bathroom was a little rundown in my opinion (on top of the loud noise coming from downstairs) but I want to compliment the friendly staff overall in this review. Something that affected my stay was the pool situation. I was shocked when I discovered how small the pool area is for such a nice big hotel overall. There wasn't enough lounge chairs or anywhere to sit in general. Everyone was playing their own music loud, some louder than others, a bunch of kids splashing everywhere and I was surprised by this since I was thinking this would be a calm, peaceful resort setting. I was honestly surprised that there was no security at the time to enforce anything. Overall I tried to make the best of the circumstances but I will never return to this pool unfortunately. This hotel in general does have great views though. Once again, this review is mainly to compliment, Michael because he made this not so pleasant experience, a better one because of his kindness and accommodations so thank you Michael

Service is always excellent, personally a touch too formal for my taste, but I'm sure the visitors love it. As a local on the hill, I've come by to do work, have meetings, and more often than not I'll be reading. It's so interesting watching people come and go, celebrating a wedding or staying for a convention. Ultimately it's a nice, upscale, and enjoyable place to have a nice drink. Everyone sleeps on happy hour but it's excellent and I usually always grab some fries and a drink while reading a book. It makes for a nice way to pass the afternoon. Shout out to Erika behind the bar who is incredibly knowledgeable about her wines. It's way worth the visit. Pro tip for parking: there is a public parking lot. Because the resort bumps right up next to the ocean, it is required to have public access parking. Park there all day free and enjoy your time without the extra expense.

It's no secret that the place is pricey, but you pay for the convenience that can come in clutch depending on your situation. It's a stunning hotel, andI love how it reminds me of the Ahwahnee Hotel. The place gives me a double whammy of heart-felt nostalgia feels as I grew up going to Disney and Yosemite. Overall customer service was excellent. Cast members were friendly, but the concierge goes above and beyond. I really appreciated them helping us with a scooter rental on the spot for my mom, who has a torn meniscus. During our stay, we stayed on the club level and took full advantage of The Veranda Lounge. The lounge offered food at 4 times through the day: continental breakfast, afternoon tea, "happy hour," and desserts. The snacks and unlimited beverages were worth it, and you could take them with you to the pool and to the parks. One one of the days, we spent some time at the pool around 4pm. The place seemed pack, but we quickly learned that many chairs didn't have returning occupants despite seeming to be reserved. We were able to snag 4 chairs with umbrellas. Not all chairs had umbrellas, which was unfortunate. My only complaint was that service felt very slow. Lastly, the rooms were great. Our room had 4 adults, and the space didn't feel cramped at all. The bed and pillows were comfortable to me, and I felt like I had restful nights of sleep.

It's all facade, you walk in and see the grand lobby, that's where the scam starts. Honestly most of the employees suck, they're all on their phones or look like it's the last place they want to be. I can't blame them.. The rooms and hallways are outdated and uncared for. The prices are astronomical to the point of a con job. The magic here is long gone, they play on your nostalgia to get you in and then completely rip you off. I've been to Disneyland and this hotel a few times over the years and it's gone so far downhill there's really no way I see them recovering. I will for sure not be back to this hotel or Disneyland again in its current form.
