Very expensive! Over $1,000 to service a furnace and clean vents. Three hours on site; that's an impressive hourly rate!

A big fat liar! Our…read morehouse is in escrow. We have a brand new Mitsubishi heat pump system Tyler installed for $25,000.00 eight months ago. The problem is it failed buyers inspection because it doesn't heat or cool. The following day Tyler recharges the system, certifies it "no leaks" and lies about an advanced diagnostics. Four days later our agent reports the system isn't working again. The buyer is spooked so we let them extend a contingency for the Mitsubishi heat pump to keep the deal together. Tyler says stop calling me. Two companies inspect the system and report the refrigerant is gone. On paper we have 16 months left of our RMR "Diamond Dealer" warranty. But I'm spending thousands on emergency repair services because Tyler can't be bothered and doesn't stand behind his work. Sort of unsurprising at this point but if you actually call Mitsubishi he's not a Diamond Dealer, he's not associated with them at all. This review stays up until Tyler decides to warranty his work.

Hayes was amazing, definitely went above an beyond to help us and resolve the issue. The second time was to service our A/C and Furnace. I dealt with Hayes again (we live down the street). He came, serviced the units and redid the protection on the exterior tubing to the A/C unit. They're just a fantastic company. They provide excellent customer service and their pricing is amazing. They'll always be our go to for HVAC needs. They'll also be who we recommend to all our friends and family! Thank you!!!

He share couple quotes for repairing or alternatively replacing my existing electric water heater and patiently explained the quote breakdown and work required. His quotes were the most reasonable of all people I requested from. I ultimately decided to try and DIY the fix - replacing the thermostat and heating element myself. Brandon went the extra mile and helped me iron out details like where to get specific parts from and was available to jump on a call and walk me through the repair. That level of support was so unexpected and so reassuring. His advice was critical since the parts I was looking at home depot weren't really compatible. Thanks Brandon and water heater doctor. If my repair doesn't hold and I need replacement for sure I will go with them. Highly recommend.

Instead of just selling me the more expensive or larger option, he took the time to explain the pros and cons in detail and suggested installing a mixing valve as a better alternative for my needs. He was very clear and walked me through a few different options, which I really appreciated. On installation day, Brandon arrived right on time and worked quickly to get everything set up. There was a small hiccup because Brandon didn't have the mixing valve with him, but he was very transparent about it. He took the time to explain the pros and cons of the valve again, and I ultimately decided not to install it at that time. What really impressed me was the follow-up. Patrick called me afterward to check on the job and specifically asked about the mixing valve. He even offered to honor the original price if I decided I wanted to install it later. I spoke with three different vendors, and while their price was right in the middle, the Water Heater Doctor won my business because they were by far the most helpful and knowledgeable during the consultation. Highly recommend!

I scheduled an appointment, which was confirmed by Jessica in the office. A week later I got a "confirmation of appointment" reminder email by Jessica. The very next day, I got another email stating "we are not taking any new service calls", recommending a different company. Now this is a Friday, with the scheduled appointment on Monday. After several additional emails and a phone call, Gerard the owner piped in with his apologies that they have never been this busy but somehow they would "fit me in". So Cenobio, the technician, showed up on time Monday and found several things that needed repair, most importantly some of the duct that if not fixed may release carbon monoxide into the living space. Not only, the motor responsible for air movement was making sounds that could result in failure, and if failed would leave us without heat for up to 2-weeks as "these parts are hard to get". Cenobio said he would write up the repair recommendations and they would be sent to me with the invoice. I waited a week, didn't hear anything so I called Jessica in the office. She said she would check on it. November 6th, I received an email from Jessica, and I quote "There will be no charge for coming to look at your unit. However we are extremely busy and not accepting any new work at this time. I am sorry that we could not help you further". To which I replied: "Jessica I must say I am very disappointed with the entire process I have been through with Earthheat. I was thrilled with the service I received with the hot water heater install last year and have recommended your company to many local friends and family. But the communication and responses I have received for this transaction have left me scratching my head. I get it. You are busy and don't want my business. Perfect. I can accommodate. But your technician made several recommendations that if left undone could leave me without heat and potentially breathing dangerous fumes - exhaust issues. And a motor or compressor that is making weird noises and should be replaced. Your technician said he would send these recommendations to me via email. I would appreciate if you met your commitments". Gerard the Owner now replied and I quote: "Hello Rick, I'm very sorry for the lack of communication on our behalf. We have never been so busy. I will get with Cenobio who came out to get a Much better understanding of the issues you are facing. I will also honor the continued service though we are not currently taking on new service type work as it was explained. I will be back in touch Monday morning after speaking with Cenobio". That was November 6 2020, and the last I heard from Earthheat. My takeaway: They are busy and don't have time to meet simple commitments to simple consumers. And as stated earlier, I will accommodate and so should you.

tldr - if it's related to HVAC, call the installer of your HVAC system if possible…read more I called Green Bear to take a look at an HVAC system (on second floor) that was leaking water on the 1st floor ceiling (due to AC condensation). They sent someone over, who didn't really open the HVAC system panel much. I didn't seem confident that this would fix it. But they recommended to fix the drain pan inside the evaporator coil box, which they said was much more expensive. For clearing the drain pipe and gluing a loose pipe, which didn't actually fix the main problem, they still billed me $300 - diagnostic fee ($99) + 1 hour ($199) - (there's a 3% credit card fee, but they accept checks) 4 or 5 hours later, there was dripping again. I ended up calling Bob's, they sent 2 technicians who knew what they were doing (they opened the panel properly), they found and fixed the issue - it did not involve replacing a drain pan. Bob's only charged me the diagnostic fee of $175 and did the job right (compared to $300 that Green Bear charged)
