A few days ago, I called Fischer with a question about my furnace thermostat. I wasn't sure if it was actually malfunctioning, but since the device is many years old, I wanted to make sure that what I observed was a genuine problem before scheduling an actual service call. Companies with less of a service ethic wouldn't have taken the time to have a product manager call me back to discuss the problem before insisting on scheduling a service call, but Matthew at Fischer called me back and addressed my concerns!! I had the pleasure of working with Seth, Mike and Jeremy to get a 3 zone Mitubishi minisplit installed in an apartment downtown. Out of the 3 bids that I received: - One company refused to install a 3 zone due to the complexity of the job. - Another quoted me double what Fischer did for a 3 zone, and recommended that I install a two zone instead, greatly reducing the work needing to be done. - Seth was able to design a good solution and give me a fair price. My install required cutting through a significant amount of drywall, which is something generally not handled by HVAC installers. I was worried about the question of how much it would cost to repair the damage. The drywallers I reached out to would only give me quotes after the work was finished. Seth once again beat expectations by reaching out to Fischer Restoration and managed to get me a quote in advance of the HVAC install being done. Finally it came to the install. Cutting sheetrock (especially ceilings) is messy business, but Fischer Restoration sealed everything off and left the place spotless when they were finally finished. Jeremy and Mike installed the Mitsubishi minisplit over the course of 4 days. Just like the drywallers, Jeremy and Mike left the place spotless at the end of each day. Naturally we ran into a few issues once the walls were cut open, but both were quick to solve problems and suggest alternate solutions. It was clear that these two take great pride in their work. TLDR: Extremely unethical pricing and poor customer service. I had someone named Pat come to my home to give me an estimate on a mini split system. My neighbor had gotten one from them the year before and he gave me a copy of their invoice/estimate. I provided Pat with a copy of the estimate and invoice number so that he would know what I was expecting to pay. He told me that he would get me an estimate by the end of the day... A week later I got an email from him apologizing for forgetting to send my estimate. For reference: my neighbors estimate was ~$8,500. I was quoted $13,500 for the same work. So, I wrote an email back asking him to bring things more in line with the work my neighbor had gotten done. I never heard back. I don't really think I need to say more. read more

Fischer came out and ran diagnosis on my aging Carrier furnace. They let me know what was required to service the furnace and what it would cost. A few days later they completed the work. They were easy to deal with, did what they said they would do and showed at the time scheduled. Highly recommend. read more

We wanted to upgrade our ducts in the basement so that we would have more head space. We also wanted to get rid of old wall vents and install newer floor vents and finally we wanted to add a new air return. Seth from Fisher came by to check it out (he was very nice, knowledgeable, and wore a mask, which made us feel very safe) and gave us a quote. We then scheduled it and three awesome Fisher employees (Mike, Mark, and Jeremy) came to complete the job. The basement looks now so much better and they did a fantastic job. 3 stars for price, 4 stars for the work done, and minus 6 stars for unethical billing behavior and disregard for the customer Work performed: Simple 15 minute work to replace a water valvei on a water heater. Price originally quoted $165 ( $150+tax) Hired them on impulse, without checking references. My neighbor was having work done by them, and I asked them if they can give me a quote for replacing a valve and if they can do the work after my neighbor as they were already there. My advice now is to Stay away from the company, they are unethical. After paying my quotes price I got a second invoice with the originally quoted price corrected with a white out. I am attaching the pictures, you can clearly see it is the same invoice, same handwriting, only 30% higher price on the white copy and the higher price is written over the original price. I I called the office, thinking it was just a mistake and talked to accounting to resolve it. Turns out they have purposefully correctly my invoice, and I am quoting the girl I spoke to over the phone "I can not understand how they have come to the original price. So they just "fixed" it and sent me an updated bill. Great way to conduct business and respect your agreements with the customer! Eventually they said they will honor my original price but gave me a lecture how the invoice did not conform to their process. Again, way to go! As a customer I do not have to know their internal processes- I just hear the price being quoted to me and based on that I decide if I agree to it and get the work done or not agree and find another company. It is not a huge sum, but it is the fact that they found nothing wrong with falsifying an original invoice to extract a larger sum of money that really bugged me. After this incident I would never conduct business with them as I no longer trust them. If you absolutely have to, for your sakes, please get everything in writing so that you have evidence if it later your billing changes P.S. Plumbing work was OK, it has been less than a month but seems to be doing fine. It was a very simple work that all plumbers or handyman can do, it was about 15 minutes read more

We hired Fischer to install a mini-split to heat and cool our house. Jeremy and Mike were respectful and hardworking, and pleasant to deal with. Their bid for the job was almost identical to another company (costco/lenox) but Fischer installs Mitsubishin which I think due to our research the best most reliable machine. Also their parts are waranteed for ten years. Can't comment on efficiency or efficacy of the mini-split as we've only had it two days, but I would recommend the company based on service and price alone. read more

Purchased an AC unit last summer. Very unhappy with the damage they caused during the install but never received a call back about it. Then the first time we turned it on this summer the fuse was blown and it wouldn't work. Now less than 2 weeks later the same thing has happened and they can't come to service it for another week. I had both Fischer Heating / Fischer Plumbing scheduled to come to my home on the same day so I could have all my issues fixed while only using one day off from work. Both crews showed up on time and did their respective jobs quickly and cleanly. The plumbing issues were solved on the spot, but after having a gas line run 20ft to our kitchen by heating/cooling, there was a very pervasive smell of gas. I called in twice to ask if this was normal and was told the scent added to gas can hang around a few days. It was strong enough that I finally called and had them come back out exactly one week later (taking another half day off from work) and there was indeed a fairly significant leak. The tech apologized and fixed it quickly. All was good. I got the bill for $800 for the 2 hours they spent running the gas line and materials. No biggie, but I figured I'd call an explain the situation and see if we could come to some agreement regarding the leak we lived with for a week. The gentleman was nice enough but I was a little caught off guard that he framed this as me asking for compensation for taking time away from my career and not giving a small discount for them doing a poor job to begin with. So, they'll stand by their invoices more than ability to get it done right the first time. I'll be looking elsewhere for our furnace replacement. read more

I met with four different plumbing companies prior to selecting Fischer. Howard was by the best at presenting Fischer and how they could accomplish the goals of our project for a fair price. We had them come out the next day. Wes and Shawn were fantastic and got job done quickly and cleaned up all of the area so it looked like they hadn't been there. They answered all my questions and were super polite. Jeremy needed to do a follow up the next day and was great to work with too. I called Fischer on a problem that we have had for quite a while. We weren't getting air flow (warm or cold) to the top floor of our townhouse, although the air flow was fine everywhere else. We had another company - which had installed and serviced our system for a number of years - work on it, but they weren't able to tell us definitely what the problem was. It seemed to be a blockage in the ducting, but the other company couldn't confirm that or tell us exactly where the problem was. This company proposed cutting a section out of the interior wall of the house, which would obviously be disruptive and expensive. So I called Fischer for another opinion. They sent a tech (Kio) out. He was able to identify the exact problem and location of the blockage quickly. It was a closed damper, which was behind a wall. But he was able to fix it pretty easily, without cutting through any interior walls. He did a great job. The cost was very reasonable and fair. This company did a terrific job with our problem, and we will be switching all our maintenance on the HVAC system to them. read more

It has worked great during the hot days this summer They also sent me a reminder email to change my filters in my furnace, since it was due. That was helpful since I usually don't remember. I was able to get on their schedule fairly quick. Unfortunately, they forgot the air cleaner. They also forgot the permit for the A/C heat pump. The city wrote it for not being secured correctly and a missing duct report. The duct report was not provided or done and had to be re-scheduled later. The air cleaner was installed at a later date as well. After repeated calls and emails, I was able to schedule them to complete these items. It was signed off by the city of Bellevue even though the duct report had the wrong address and I couldn't get Fischer to fix it even with multiple calls and emails. If you hire them, make sure all the permits and tests are done prior to paying, because they are very difficult to get ahold of once you've paid. read more
