Also had them replace the wood trim around the top of this zero clearance fireplace. It took about two weeks for the fabrication of the new stainless steel chase cover. This wasn't an easy install, 28' up on a 8/12 pitched roof. David, the project manager showed up with two workers and got the job done in about five hours. They did a great job, removed old chase and wood trim around the top, installed new chase, wood trim and painted all new material to match existing house color. I had three other chimney companies come out and give bids, none really seemed interested in doing this job, all were looking for masonry work or a bigger project. I would use this company again for any type of chimney repair work.

Oscar is the owner, Ed's son, and he's been doing chimneys for his whole life. When the owner is actually doing the work himself (like i do) is always an "im sold" situation for me. He and his assistant were at my place, on time, at a time that worked for me, for 5 hrs/3 days. Oscar explained every detail, answered all my questions, spotted some minor leak related stuff on my roof and fixed it at no extra charge. He is VERY in tune with maintaining high customer satisfaction. He was also conscious of making sure no carbon monoxide would creep into the house. He improved upon that exact situation that a previous heating company handled in an inferior capacity. They left no mess. I'm super happy with the new chimney! i have no doubt if there is any issues in the near future, he will be on top of it.

I asked him what that meant, he said it was like an air purifier. He was told we would be only paying for the air duct clean and the product itself. He was originally quoted $800 for the cleaning and the air scrubber for a $1600 package deal. We have an Aerus Air Scrubber cut in and installed into our HVAC system. As I walked in the door that night from work, I said, "why does it smell like an ozonator in here?" He asked me what that was. I explained that it was something that sucks the oxygen out of room to remove strong orders quickly. Companies that do Bio-hazard clean-up and restoration commonly use these machines. I am very familiar with this smell, as I have been in property management for 15 years. In fact, I own a small one for vacant homes. Ozone machines can make people very ill. My husband immediately notified Jim, the owner, that my son and I were smelling this odor and were getting headaches and our eyes were watering. It's important to note: we experienced NONE of these symptoms before AirCare USA. Jim claimed that they do not use ozone as they tried that once and he knows its bad. He had no idea what we could be smelling. Maybe it was the "sanitizer" they spray in the machine. He asked us to give it a little while longer. A week passed and still the smell was there and we were even more sick. I got on a step stool and unplugged the machine. When we called to ask them to remove it "100% Customer Guarantee" they pushed us out weeks. The day before the appointment I called Jim and asked how we would be reimbursed. He told me it would be up to Alex and he wasn't sure how much but he would cut us a check. Late that evening I received a text telling me we were not receiving anything back. During the appointment, Alex told my husband we would only see a refund had they been able to get their money back from the company. My husband asked why we should be on the hook for $1600 for something that was making us sick, Alex asked why HE should be on the hook for it. They buy these units in bulk and can't return them. He also said there was nothing in the unit and he has no idea what we would smell. As Alex was leaving my husband had to ask for our piece of equipment back that makes us sick, that they were going to take and not refund us any money. We have a patch in our HVAC system, you cannot find this model number of air scrubber on the internet anywhere and we are still out money. This was our experience with AirCare USA.

During a maintenance inspection - when we thought everything was "just fine," AHT's tech found that the heat pump - which is only five years old, had a pressure problem with the distribution of the freon. When we saw how much it was to replace the not-so-expensive part, we were totally shocked. After getting the quote, I solicited a few other places for a quote. Before I received those quotes, however, I spoke with Faisal, the owner, on the phone, and he patiently walked me through why it was so expensive - because, as a consumer, you're always wondering if you're "merely at the mercy of the guy at the transmission shop" who tells you need a transmission. And they all do. Faisal explained the labor involved - and while I first met Faisal only last summer, I find him to be honest and sincere. I felt good about Faisal's explanation, and scheduled to have the work done - I didn't feel good about my five-year-old heat pump doing me like this, but I did trust him that this was a fair trade. The next morning I did receive two quotes, and I was so happy (and validated with my trust - because I'm not always right) to see that Faisal's quote was in the same ball park. Faisal came a few days later (had to order the part) and completed the work, showing me the specs and pressure measurements so that I could understand what was happening with my heat pump and why the work was necessary. Really amazing service - fast to respond when our furnace quit working and were able to fit us in on the same day. Faisal listened to my description of how the furnace was acting, tested the voltage running through various components, and described along the way how everything works -- from the control board to the blower motor, ignition, gas flow, etc. It turned out that our issue was two-fold: a non-OEM control board that had been purchased by the previous owner to save money (which are known to have issues), and maintenance had lapsed for many years. I am super impressed with the honesty & integrity with which All Hi-Tech & Faisal operate. They could have easily charged us more and replaced the control board, but instead took the time to investigate further and find that some simple maintenance would fix the immediate issue (saved us hundreds of dollars). Faisal gave us a thorough explanation including options for future repairs and/or a new furnace if we so choose, and we've already scheduled a full maintenance & cleaning - mulling over whether to upgrade to a new furnace in the near future. Excellent work, excellent service. I've used them three times now and each time, they arrived on time and got right to the root of the problem with the gas heating units. The first time at our rental property, they quickly identified the problem with the furnace as a minor one, fixed it and only charged their minimum. Second time, Faisal correctly identified the bad furnace component after my regular HVAC company failed twice to find the problem. Third time, (yes, now All Hi-Tech is who I call first) they again demonstrated expert problem identification and efficient repair on the furnace and also the gas fire place. Prices are fair and reasonable despite some increases in the past 2 years. If you need them out right away, be ready to pay the after hours charge (149), which is worth it when pressed for time. read more

My furnace stopped working during this recent cold front. I searched the Internet for a repair service and called various companies on a late Thursday afternoon to get help. Some said they would be able to come out on Friday. Others said they were booked until next Tues. I had no heat !! All Hi-Tech Heating came out at 10pm. The tech, Faisal, quickly found a faulty flame sensor, fixed it, checked the heat exchanger and was done in less than 15 mins. When you are at the mercy of any repairman and you have to get it fixed right away, you worry about getting gouged or having unnecessary repairs made. Not with Faisal !! No games, no hard sell. We had a problem with our Coleman furnace where the fan blower sometimes would not come on for hours and sometimes by itself it would turn on. Third morning the fan totally stopped coming on. We were thinking that the blower has gone bad and may need replacing. We called Hi Tech and Faisal was very accommodating and switched one of his non emergency appointments to come to our house in couple of hours. Just in 10 mins the problem was diagnose... it had turned out that due a bathroom remodel there was too much dust that made it inside the furnace and the flame was not coming on fully and after a few tries tripping. My furnace went out on Thursday evening. Friday morning I called multiple Heating and A/C companies, most of which told me it would be anywhere from 1 to 2 weeks before they could get out to me to take a look at my furnace. The Tech that came to my home was very knowledgeable, and was able to fix my issue in under an hour. It is 23 degrees outside and our furnace stopped working, 55 degrees inside...ugh! I called, they sent a quick text saying they could squeeze me in and another text when they were on their way, it was GREAT SERVICE!! They were in and out in 20 minutes. I had requested All hi-tech service for the annual tune-up for my heat-pump and furnace. Faisal stopped by ontime, looked at the furnace and heatpump and suggested almost immediately how they could have been positioned differently that would be more convenient for long-term maintenance. He was thorough in explaining what he was doing and what the parameters of certain things were and what to look out for. He explained to me about my water heater as well. They will extort you, send you an estimate for one amount but then find…read moreother issues while installing the over priced part you agreed to, because you were left for a week without heat (after having already been out to inspect the heater once before) and the cost will double. My mother-in-law called them because her heater was making a loud noise. They came and shut off her heat and told her they'd be back in 2 days. Then at that time she got a text message telling her to shut something off, or push a button. She did and then they were under staffed and couldn't come out. After 6 days of my 80 year old mother-in-law living in a house without heat (her house was sub 50 degrees) they sent her an invoice for $360 because she apparently needed a pump and they said her heater would not turn back on without it (even though it worked prior to them turning it off). She was freezing so she just said as long as it was today. They were at her house within an hour (ironic since they were SOOO busy the first 6 days...). Then, the estimate DOUBLED while the tech was at her house as he said he found a gas leak (the house did begin to smell like gas AFTER the first tech turned off the heat). (I should say the 2nd tech was EXTREMELY understanding and helpful. He also confirmed that the gas leak was NOT reported by the 1st tech and the 1st tech was a new guy.) My mother-in-law agreed to it but called us. While we were on the phone with her the tech said that to fix all the problems he found this time (again someone had already been out there to inspect before) it would be $1500!!!!!!!!!!!! My mother-in-law started crying because she couldn't afford it but she couldn't handle being cold any longer. I called the company, the receptionist told me she wasn't able to make any decisions and would have her manager call me back. Then my husband went to talk to the technician at my MIL's house and he told us that she was delayed due to their high volume of customer's with larger (dollar amount) problems. I called the company back and asked to speak to the owner/manager. The receptionist denied my request and told me she never told me she wasn't authorized and that they have all their calls recorded. She told me they had record of calling my MIL every day to schedule the service but we have phone logs showing my MIL called them every day. She told me we were going to sign a waiver to release them from liability of the gas leak. When I said we wouldn't sign it, so she said she was pulling the techs from the job and hung up on me. When I called back, she again told me they were leaving the job (my husband who was with the technicians confirmed that they had tried to recall the techs from the job and my son had been recording EVERYTHING from their interactions with the techs) and refused to get me in touch with the manager or owner. I said I have read numerous reviews who said the owner was a man of integrity and I had seen negative reviews retracted after speaking with him. She again told me she was pulling the techs and tried to hang up on me. I told her I didn't want that and maybe if I could speak to someone who was authorized to discuss these matters with me (and not lie to me about what was or was not said on recorded phone calls as I am 100% SURE they will justify MY side of the story and not hers) maybe we would sign it but not without discussing these very unethical practices with someone who did have authority, and the person who would actually be impacted by our response to this distress (not someone being a complete brat and who didn't comprehend the severity of the situation). I was put on hold for about 15 minutes but then told she would call me back. I haven't heard anything from the company since. I believe this occurred intentionally to extort my mother-in-law. I also think the initial tech was responsible for the gas leak (whether intentionally or accidentally I can't say). Because they were not clear about what was needed, and they kept delaying her, she didn't have time to get a 2nd opinion or compare prices. We will be taking this up with the BBB (https://www.bbb.org/file-a-complaint) and the Attorney General as the Department of Justice has a form specifically for Elder Abuse and Elder Financial Exploitation Statutes (https://www.justice.gov/elderjustice/prosecutors/statutes). This is completely immoral, unethical and NOT an action of integrity. I will also be getting someone out to my MIL's to take a look at the gas leak and give us their opinion on how the gas leak came to be.

She was able to give me some pointers on where the issue might be and bingo, the failed inducer relay part was found. I'm arguably competent at DIY and was able to replace the part and be up and running overnight. People, support you local small businesses. These businesses really take the time to help their customers because they care. Any of the larger corp service companies would never have gone the extra steps that Ann took the time to do. Jim not only came out to our house to give us a comprehensive estimate, he was also the person who did the actual installation. I needed to replace our 18 year old American Standard heat pump but wasn't quite ready to replace our furnace. After thoroughly educating myself on heat pumps, I called 7 different HVAC companies for estimates. I was open to all the top brands. Some of the companies would not replace our heat pump without also replacing our furnace. A couple of companies said that they would flush out our old heat pump lines with nitrogen instead of replacing them. Most companies sent out a salesman to give us an estimate but they were not the ones who would install it. Yesterday Jim from MVH came out to our house and replaced our old heat pump with a new American Standard heat pump. He and his assistant Braden were at our house for over 9 hours doing the work. They meticulously installed our new heat pump, replaced our heat pump line with a new one and replaced the coil on our furnace. Jim removed our broken automatic air filter and designed a slot to fit a standard size disposable air filter. I think they went above and beyond with the installation and their clean up was impeccable. Jim installed a new "smart" thermostat which also qualified for a PSE rebate. Anne, the office manager was so helpful in answering questions I had and in completing the PSE rebate forms and all the paperwork. MVH also had competitive pricing and I saved money with the PSE rebates. Yes, I am very happy that I decided on Mountain Valley Heating and Air to install our new heat pump. This company was also the HVAC company we hired 18 years ago and I highly recommend them!

I wanted to get another quote and ended up going with Airloop as they said their quote fee would come out of the cost of repairs, unlike the other company I used before. When Jairo and team came in, they showed me that the induction motor was working fine and it was actually another part (motherboard) that had to be replaced. Gave me a much more reasonable quote for replacement, even telling me that they'll check for me whether the furnace is under warranty and the reduced price if it was still available. In my experience they've been very honest about how our system can best be served (including recommending solutions that are appreciably not the most expensive, based on our own priorities, which I appreciate), and have been flexible when work had to stop mid-way through a project due to unforeseen circumstances. When we found out that our exhaust wasn't exhausting, they were able to get a chimney person out the same day to get an assessment. I can't express how much I appreciate someone who knows when they've hit their technical limit and is willing to say "Let's bring someone else in". Can't express enough how grateful I am to have them around to help out. It's important to me that I have good people that do good work on a house I love dearly, and it's comforting to know my plumbing needs are able to be taken care of by people I trust. Their trip charge is 200, because they were great before and I was ok with that. But this time, not only it took them 2 visits (including a missed one) and a long time to give me a quote, but they gave me a ridiculous estimate that made me think they don't want this job. This is ridiculous so I have to go to others. All my 3 other quotes ( from other well reviewed companies) were like 600-1000 to replace the broken runs, but they quoted me something like 5000. So 2 star for previous good work, but they disappoint me this time.
