I tried the veggie kabob plate which was a generous portion that made for great leftovers. The veggies included well seasoned zucchini, peppers, onions, and tomatoes. The hummus was more chickpea-dominant than tahini, so it wasn't the creamiest hummus I've ever had, but it was tasty and much better than store bought. The fattoush salad was a little mint and scallion heavy for my taste. If onion breath isn't your thing, I'd recommend the Tabbouleh. Overall WTFalafel is a safe bet for tasty takeout that won't make you feel too guilty. *Pro tip: be sure to order directly from their website rather than one of the delivery sites like Grubhub or DoorDash to save some money! read more

I was looking for a lighter meal in Moreno Valley, and I stumbled on this place. The Chicken Shawarma Salad was pretty light on dressing (just a drizzle of tahini?), but it satisfied my craving. I figured I should try the falafel too (it's in the name after all!), and I thought the it was pretty good. It's not too dense or dry. I would definitely come here again. My husband and I met a friend for dinner there a few days ago. It's located in a little shopping plaza with a bar, gym, and few other shops. When we entered, the waitress asked if we were taking out or dining in. She told us to have a seat anywhere. Super mom & pop vibes, feels like it's been around for a long time, decorated with hand painted art, booth seating, and Lebanese music videos playing on the tv. The menu is rather extensive, with the back side (sports bar) offering pizza, burgers, and other appetizers. I opted for the chicken kabab plate. It was good, though not the best I've had. The description reads "Rice, Hummus, Tomato, Onion, Turnip, Garlic Pita"... so remember when I mentioned we came with a friend? Well, when our meals came out, they placed a basket of pita bread on the table near her, so we all figured it was her bread and she began eating. After a few minutes I was able to get the attention of our waitress, and I asked her if I was supposed to get garlic pita bread... she said no, it was a typo, there was supposed to be a comma between "garlic" and "pita" and they had placed both of our breads in one basket for us to share. Well, since My husband's friend had already started digging in, I didn't feel comfortable taking the remaining bread, and the waitress didn't offer to bring another piece, so I can't speak on the pita... but based on how it looked, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say it's safe to assume it's your standard pita bread! The salad was basic, nothing extraordinary. Maybe I'm just really spoiled by my shawarma place back in Vegas!! My overall review- 3/5. Awful experience! I order the falafel wrap and fattoush salad. I was given a 15 min pick up time and ended getting my meal 40 min later. My wrap was dry -- a dry falafel wrap is tragic. The real 1 star is due to the fattoush salad. Didn't think it was possible to mess up a salad. After salivating for the fattoush salad I was extremely disappointed on having no romaine lettuce and an over abundance of mint! I love mint but the basic foundation of all salads is the lettuce! After calling, I was told to go back for a credit or to get a new salad -- for another 40 min wait? No thanks. I don't live in the area and a credit would do nothing for me. I am in the food service -- I can deal with the wait time but what I can't deal with is selling food and giving a customer something completely different than what was advertised. I was flabbergasted because how do I know? I don't work for DoorDash or the restaurant. She was stating she made my order 3 times which I never received one, she was rude yelling that she gave to the driver. She hung on me because I kept asking why she delayed my second order for 30 additional minutes asking me to questions. Does it matter if I placed a second order both times the order was placed through DoorDash both times so it wasn't free. She kept yelling at me and hanging up. I kept calling trying to figure if I was going to receive my food or not. One time someone answered the phone stating they were the cook. This person put the phone down and no one was speaking when I said and expletive out of frustration of waiting for 2 hours. Zena gets on the phone said that they will no longer allow me to order or visit their restaurant the call was recorded which she never disclosed from the beginning of the call so whatever was recorded is illegal but personally share the call so the public can see that there is fault for WTfalafel and how I was treated. I am one of Mediterranean food fans. So when I know this place opened closer where I live, I made one day not cooking for dinner. Went there and there was one lady as cashier + waitress who greeted us. We asked to sit and given the menu. I notice the menus from the TV screen and the paper placed on the table have some different name. This actually made myself as first timer, confuse (regardless there are ingredients explained at bottom of menu) and I believe will happen to others. Me & my husband ordered Chicken Kebab (plate) aka 'Tour of Beirut Chicken' and Beef Shawarma Plate (aka) Big Bad shawarma. The portions were so generous we even have difficulty to finish. The rice was so soft and tasty. The only comment I would add as constructive feedback is the beef on shawarma was a little bit chewy, and it is better if there is no fat included. Beef Shawarma original texture will be from the big chunk of meat which rotate slowly as slow cook grill, that sliced thinly and that is not found in this place. I was in heaven with how much flavor was on my plate. I ate the kabobs...chicken, steak, and lamb. The hummus is so creamy and fresh tasting. The rice was on point. And omg...that Lebanese garlic sauce was fire. I could drink that stuff. It was so good. I ate it with every bite. I dont like turnips, but i tried these. They were marinated or pickled, and I dipped them in my hummus. Needless to say, I'm now a fan of turnips. The lil crispy cooked purple onion on the side was a refreshing treat to eat when switching between the different meats. I have gluten and dairy allergies. They were very knowledgeable about what was in each dish & side. This is my new favorite place to eat. I will be back weekly. I've never been so happy to pay my bill before this.
