If there is rating "-100 stars " I will give to Comcast/Xfinity. 1. On 2023 March, They charge 250USD fee to leave 2years contract, however I never signed to 2 years contract . 2. I call with Xfinity representatives to confirm I was not on contract, I made payment processing documents at xfinity Store. 3. Few times I have received letters to pay $250 for termination fee. I have called customer support, and recording conversations. At the time, I was back to Xfinity customer again, it's never changed to termination because I am current customer . (Call , July ,2023-recorded) 4,2024 January- I received collection payment from True Accord. Overall, even you record all phone calls with Xfinity/comcast, even I went store to confirm ( In store staff, Xfinity phone representative and myself 3 of us on the phone together) , they keep wrong information to the systems, and sell those to collection agencies. The worst Internet provider - customer service is a joke. It is near impossible to talk to a live person. Once you get someone, any service they provide comes with a fee. If your service is turned off because of an error on their part there is a $12 reconnect fee. They don't tell you that either. You have to discover it on their end. The app is ridiculous - hard to navigate and buttons/menus do not take you where you need to go. If Xfinity wasn't my only option in my area, I would have discontinued my service. I am disheartened and disappointed that I was lied to by an xfinity assistant chat representative and then the next day the complete opposite happens. I have been an xfinity customer for over 6 years now since I got my own apartment and have never paid late. I was told by one representative that he would help and I was okay the. The next day the supervisor tells me the company had an audit and that all previous agreements were void. That is terrible way to do business with someone who has had service that long. I have had to dump a ton of money into funeral expenses and car repairs and was told my payment arrangement would be good to extended an additional 4 days!!!! I used to love Comcast. Great connection/service, excellent customer service, etc. Now it's impossible to speak to a person, or one you can understand, and when you call they just keep trying to get you to use their stupid app, which never works anymore. I currently have an issue with my bill being super high all of a sudden, even though they said they gave me CREDITS for my wifi being basically useless for 9 days while I went into the store 3 times, they came out twice, replaced outside cable, everything. I am STILL having issues, so my IT guys at work suggested that I use an ethernet cable instead of wifi, so I did and now my internet will work. Their WiFi is a JOKE, and my mobile service is no better the past couple of years. I am seriously thinking of moving to Verizon or someone else. No local sports channels , they haven't come to terms with Chicago Sports Network. So the only way to watch the Sox's, Bulls or the Blackhawks would if they are on some national channel like ESPN. You still have to pay around $25.00 for local sports channels every though you don't have any. read more

The store folks are almost universally good.. but when you have issues it is a disaster .. we are installing a new box .. there happens to be an outage .. but I can't even get on the phone with a service rep to tell me how to do a particular thing way at the front end of this installation that has nothing to do with an outage, I got on a chat and the guy basically hung up on me telling me whatever the problem was it was due to the outage he wouldn't even listen. I went to the Hyde Park Xfinity store on Saturday, August 24, and had an extremely pleasant experience with Sales Consultant Tyron Harris. His knowledge of the Comcast Business Plan is excellent, and I had enough information to carry back home so that my husband and I can "leverage" the benefits of this Plan. I appreciated his great customer service and told him that I will most certainly provide feedback on the service I received from him. I also shared that I was glad that he was the one I engaged with while in the store. This one-star is for the female employee who works up front; she deserved no stars. I do not know her name, but she was at one of the two kiosks as you enter the front door; I arrived promptly at 10:00 a.m. I was waved over to another area to speak with Tyron about returning my equipment and about the Business Plan. As I spoke with Tyron this same female employee walked up to him and had him open her beverage can. I was flabbergasted because of her total disregard for professionalism but said nothing. However, while he was explaining the different benefits of the Business Plan, she again walked up to him and began talking. At that point I said, "Be professional, that's rude." She then walked backed to another female staff employee and made a comment as they both looked at me. I ignored that foolishness! I always question someone who has that type of attitude in a business establishment, in terms of why they are able to get away with displaying such immature, unprofessional manners. But, since she was comfortable acting as if she was at home, I am going to assume that this is a norm. This is unfortunate. Do better, Xfinity Hyde Park store!!! read more

My parents got xfinity last summer because they said there's no other cable company in our part of Chicago, the service we requested was the internet and it's pretty much worthless and useless. the quality is not good it keeps buffering and it just falls apart, the value is not worth the installation or the price. my advice is ignore your home owner's association guidelines and get some other cable company. also, don't be an idiot like my parents. read more

if it were possible to give them a zero star, I would. Their customer service is horrible. I have a modem that only works intermittently, replace it because when they send a save through, it says it's fine and they keep canceling appointments. I work remotely and this has disconnected me from court calls on multiple occasions; it disconnects my computer from my office; it turns off my phones, everything. Run do not walk away from Comcast Xfinity. I had an appointment scheduled to replace the modem and they refused to keep it. They claimed oh we sent a signal and it works more. It works fine now except it doesn't work consistently. I have had numerous Internet providers over the years. They had marginal service. Difficult to know if they cared about my business at all. I have always been an Internet only customer. Until recently they did not want my business. I switched to Xfinity 5 or 6 years ago. They have been wonderful and always made me feel as if they cared. My service is great covering my whole house providing coverage even in my back yard. I don't know what problems people are having. But I bet you haven't had a large carrier tell you they didn't want your business because they were going in a different direction. I've read many of the reviews posted here, and I can't agree more with all the negative comments and warnings. DON'T EVEN CONSIDER DOING BUSINESS WITH COMCAST/XFINITY!!! In the 9 years we have used xfinity, we have had constant problems. But recently, they have achieved a level of service, below which, we didn't think possible, even for xfinity! All while increasing their prices! Over the past year, we have have had "multiple day" outages on more than 12 occasions. One outage was 4 days!!! I work remotely and was constantly dropping important calls and meetings. A tech came out to see if they could fix the issue and he said it was my work's VPN fault...which I thought at first too. But then we started noticing connection issues from our personal devices. We switched to Verizon and I have not have any more issues at work or on personal devices. I've been a loyal customer for years. I noticed multiple billing errors throughout the years and I spent nearly ten hours each year to have them fix the billing issues. Some are repeated errors and others are due to workarounds that their technical team caused. Certain charges should've been waived but I kept getting charged. Half of the agents I spoke to were not helpful and don't know what they were talking about. Some just kept redirecting me to other department endlessly. It is quite frustrating. Xfinity has the worst customer service. Reading the same transcript over and over is ridiculous. For a year I've been charged $15 monthly for equipment I do not have. Told by 6 employees it has been taken off my account and I would get a $150 credit almost a few other credits. Didn't get them. Signed a form I don't have it and they have no record of that. Monday I signed a lower bill and Friday bill went up $50 and they can't find my paperwork I signed Monday. I screenshot all of this and I just keep getting passed to the next. It's worth the hassle. ordered Now internet with Xfinity and it was the worst experience with any internet company I've ever had. when I ordered the equipment it was quick and easy and then it became anything but. Ups delivered my package but didn't notify me and I was not at my apartment to sign. when I went to open their app so that I could track my package there system was down. so after a few days of frustration I cancelled the order on the Xfinity app. The site told me that I would receive a refund and my account was closed. I never received an email confirming my cancelation nor did I ever receive my refund for the service I never got. After multiple phone calls and dealing with Xfinity terrible chat representatives I filed a dispute with my bank. The Xfinity customer service kept sending me from one clueless representative to the other and they insisted that I never made a purchase even though it was posted on my bank account and I have an email receipt of my purchase and a cancellation screen shot. I visited the local Xfinity store to sign a new contract to renew my current promotion which I have done 7 years previously. I did not get past the front table. The lady immediately said, "We don't do that here." I responded that I renewed it here last year. She insisted that that was not possible since the store was not open last July. I told her that I came in the first week in August. Just then a male agent came up and told me I had to call CS. I said, " Maybe I should just try ATT.
