An underground wire that was not underground was cut by a lawn mower. It's near a ditch in the back yard right on the line between my neighbor's and my property. I still don't have service. I called days ago and was told someone would be out within 24 hours. No one came. I called back, and was told I never should have been told that, but someone would be out by 5/11 between 3 and 5. I missed a call a few minutes before 3. When I called back I had to repeat many times that I wasn't calling to pay my bill, only to be asked by the representative if I wanted to pay my bill. When I finally got put through to the right department, I was told that the service people were only minutes away. This was around 3:15. I called my job to let them know that I would be able to be in by 4:30. I waited until 4:30, but no one showed up. I got to work late. I tried to call about this, and after going through the same ridiculous process of repeatedly saying I wasn't calling to pay my bill, I finally got put through again to the right person. I am ready to cancel my service. This whole situation has been frustrating. I was told I needed to be here and pull any TV's 3 feet away from the wall where the line comes in. Why!? We took the xfinity bundle when we bought our home but realized that it was too expensive and down graded to internet only after the introductory period. Worse than horrible! A Nightmare! First, a "bait and switch" on what they promised to install. Then, after being in the crawl space for 20 minutes - the technician left without saying a word; didn't come back!!! After 45 minutes on hold - got the name and phone of the local install supervisor ("Juan") BUT - he wouldn't answer or return phone calls. Then 4 hours with customer service trying to get the install done. After talking with 5 people - they promised 3 boxes and 5 outlets (I move the TV around every once in a while - rarely). Ifinity HQ went and scheduled another install appointment for this morning. Then - same installer came back this morning (I had been promised yesterday - they'd send somebody different). He said that even though the order was for five outlets and three boxes - his boss Juan told him this morning that he was not allowed to do that even thought 5 people from Ifinity yesterday PLUS the salesperson promised they could!!! Ifinity is HORRID! After technician left, I went outside - and he left the outdoor cover thrown to the side and the inside cables TOTALLY EXPOSED. Y You can't make this stuff up!!!!! Tried to get internet. They said it's $20 if I have Mobile phone service with them. Signed up for Mobile phone service on 2 phones. They cancelled my internet before it was installed. Charged me $50 a month more on my cell phones because I didn't have internet. Paid off cell phone from them and they still can't unlock it after 4 days. My brother is on disability. While in the hospital, a 'friend' slipped his lock and let himself in and hit a button about 16 times in a few hours and ran his bill up $266.61. He himself did NOT order these movies, nor did he give permission to anyone to come in his home and order movies. I need negative stars. This is probably the worst run business I have ever interacted with in my life. To make things worse - they are the ONLY provider of high-speed Internet in my area (AT&T doesn't connect to my house). So I've only lived at my place for two weeks, but they have managed to completely FAIL at everything they do. Here is how: - Tech CUTS OFF my neighbors cable and TV and leaves without saying anything - Tech BREAKS my attic stairs during installation (3 steps broken off) - Tech doesn't install my cable TV on first visit (just Internet & phone) and leaves - Techs show up late to both appointments scheduled - Tech drills giant hole in my wall, leaves sawdust all over the place, and doesn't screw wall face plate back on - Tech leaves a giant cable just hanging out across my yard (and other tech said it was the wrong type and it may take a month to bury) - Comcast charges a monthly fee NOT to publicly list my phone number, then when I don't pay it calls me 5x a day trying to sell security services - Comcast makes you sign up for 2 year service agreements and jacks up the price the second year (advertised, but still shady IMO) I'll stop there and take a little break to cry, but I know I could easily go on. This is a travesty. This company has a monopoly on the ISP market in Indy and because it has no competitors basically runs its business with incompetence and complete disregard for the customer. If I could give Comcast - 5,000 stars, that would be awesome. We had Comcast for less than 30 days. Service was terrible and they charged us a lot of money just to come "look" at the problem but never fix it. We were resetting the router on average of 10 times a day. We only had internet, but before we knew it, we had a $200 bill in a matter of two weeks. We tried to work with them - they stood us up twice (did not show for their appointments). We talked to representatives on their online chat, and these reps were supposed to take care of our bill for us (so we only paid what we were supposed to) - they never did. And when we presented the chat log to a Comcast supervisor, they flat out told us they wouldn't honor it. What a business! We had to pay a lot of money just for the convenience of getting rid of them. They said they would send us a box for our equipment, but instead sent us a box with MORE equipment and then another one for our current equipment. Then they said they never received the boxes we shipped back. They were supposed to get their orange cable out of our yard in the beginning of May, but were a month late on that too. We haven't had Comcast since early/mid April and we still get bills from them saying we owe them money for this or that - and even got a call from Collections. They are a company that never goes away. It's Hell. Each time we call we're told we either owe $199, $133, $43.31, or $0. It just depends on who we talk to and how they feel that day, I guess. This much headache for less than 30 days of terrible internet service. No cable... no bells or whistles... just internet. Worst company I've ever worked with. read more

First it didn't work for the first month, then I scheduled a time with a technician at 3 and I arrived at 3:02 after leaving work early to and tried calling at 2:30 to let them know id be a few minutes late... it took 45 minutes to get someone on the phone and they had came and gone by 3:02. Then I spoke with someone on the phone to get another appointment and they said they would call me back after speaking to another department. They never called back but I did get a text with a date and time that they went ahead and scheduled for me without asking if that would work. So I called and cancelled to avoid more issues. Then they said they would give me credits back on my account for the issues but that never happened and now I have issues with connectivity again so I called again. First I got someone that couldn't speak clearly so I hung up and tried again. The second time I called they had a service that they would call you back so you don't have to wait on hold. I used this service and answered a couple questions and was told someone would call in approximately 2-3 minutes. I waited a half hour and got no phone call. Called back in and while on hold (before ever getting an agent) I got the internet up and running. Hung up and have decided that I will use this TERRIBLE SERVICE thru December and explore other options after the new year. I ama supervisor of an access center, so when i call Comcast for anything i dread it. Nothing ever works. Cable and internet legit go out several times a month. When you call to get compensated for the outages, its like a $3.99 credit on your bill. My bill is always over $200/month. The credit doesn't add up whe it goes out several times a month. This major corporation is a scam! I received my final bill in the mail with a credit of 62.88$. I called to request a check of the credit owed to me for over payment and they said the day after the final bill was sent they charged a 90$ early termination fee. I just moved to Columbus, IN. While looking for Internet Service Providers, I spoke to Comcast about getting Xfinity in the house. I signed up with them because the sales person told me that they could install a video doorbell, glass break sensors on the windows, and a smoke/carbon monoxide detector for the alarms system, and three smart ports in my house for internet. I think that they were under the impression that all they needed to do was get the installer into my house and I would accept whatever they could install. They were not able to do any of the above. They could do smoke detectors, but not carbon monoxide. Do not sign up with this company because they will not be able to deliver what they advertise and will likely tell you what you want to hear to get their foot in your door. read more
