So I have been honestly through hell and back with your company from being assaulted by one of your employees in my home who also nearly burned it down, to you suing me for equipment you knew I had and trying to collect $860 from me after my home was destroyed by a tornado. You don't even have me as a constant customer since 1989 when I moved into my first home and I have lived here since 1991 and you only have me listed as a customer since 2003 when I got to move back here from the tornado damage. I have paid your company and this is a conservative estimate of $44,000+ in that 30 year period and to be treated like rubbish by your customer support team who wasted my time and so I am leaving your service and company behind as so many others are as we can't afford these outrageous rates and then see what new folks are getting nearly half my prices after being a constant customer for over 30 years. Started service in August but didn't get connection until September 2018 did it all online got quoted one price but I was charged another. So I called to cancel most of my service by only keeping one which was wifi. Now in May I bought my own modem and they got the modem numbers wrong and refused to correct their mistake. So I was hung up on and I called back and got another person who also would not correct the numbers to the modem, but told me it should be working. Due to my need for wifi for school and their I don't care attitude I called AT&T for wifi for the rest of the month. I went online to look at my bill for the adjusting of my bill if they did any. So on June 8,2019 I complained about the lack of customer service I received and careless, sloppy and how I remember when Comcast was a service I enjoyed having in 2007. (Oh wait my paper bill was going to my old address out of state now how crazy is that?) While I am in front of this young lady she did NOT apologize OR see if there was anything she could do to keep me as a customer OR adjust the bill. Worst customer service that I have ever received. Have been lied to 4 times about a credit I was due. Had to take off two half days work to be at the house for a service call. First tech did nothing and told use to call in for a second tech to come out. Second tech came out and said the first tech gave us inaccurate information and could have the wireless box as requested and called in to get the service fees credited because of the poor service. I was told by customer service that both service would be credited and now they will only do one. So did I not only lose a whole days pay and another 3 to 4 hours on chat, phones calls regarding this. What a waste of my time. Absolutely no help from customer service on the phone. Trying to just activate my service took multiple days and countless hours on the phone. After speaking to three representatives, I still had to go into the store for them to finally figure out that my service request had not even been completely processed. I am the 5th 1 star review of Comcast. You would think that they would try to get better. I just signed up with them for their $99.00 per month package. First bill is fine then I get the second bill and it is for $585.00. So I have to spend half the day calling, waiting on hold, being transferred to this department, waiting on hold, transferred again, disconnected, call back go thru the whole process again. Finally I get to the right person and she tells me that I failed to turn in $400.00 worth of equipment. Awful. Just awful. Dialup was more reliable than this. If your service goes out don't expect a service guy to cone out for at least 3 days. Even then they don't know what the problem us, will insist it's your equipment, even though you have 3 brand new modems and every connection has been changed and updated in the house. Also, they will then drop a new line from your house not once, not twice, but three times and then take a month to bury the line. Service will drop at weird tines for no reason, and they will do frequent "upgrades". The fun part? When this was run by Insight, there were fewer problems. They warned you 2 weeks in advance up any scheduled outings by emailing, calling you, and sending out fliers. If a small company can do this why can't a multimillion dollar company do the same? I would do 0 stars if I could. Well, I've been with them for 2 weeks and for 1 of those weeks, I've been without internet. I called last week to set up an appointment on Saturday (the only day I'm readily available) and they said sure. No problem. How does 8am-10am sound? Sounds perfect. So, Saturday comes and so does 10am. Well, At 10:30, I call and ask where they are. I haven't heard from them or seen them. They said it was an error, it should have been 9am-11am. Fine. Whatever. Well, 11:30 comes and STILL NOTHING. I call again, and they said that it was scheduled on Sunday from 2-4. NO IT'S NOT EITHER! I would never schedule that. So after getting the run-around, I ask to speak with a supervisor. He said he would contact the dispatch center and escalate my issue and have it resolved. Expect a call back from me in 30 minutes. Ok. By this time, it's 11:45am, and I'm expecting a call back around 12:15ish. Well, nothing. I call back at 1:00pm, and I get the run-around AGAIN! She started saying stuff about my cable tv, which I DONT have, and I demand to speak to a supervisor. By now, I'm livid. They finally, after a 45 minute phone call (20 min of which I was on hold), they say that they will call me today (Saturday, I'm doing this real-time, as it's now 2:50PM EST), so I'm still waiting on that call. This company has the absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced. If only AT&T were cheaper, and have better speeds, I'd tell Xfinity to come get their crap out of my house. read more

THE worst run business I have ever interacted with. I called 5 months ago with some billing questions and I was given the name Roger Edwards (sales supervisor) and his contact information and was told that they would look into the situation and call me back with information. When I didn't receive a call back for 2 weeks, I called this private line and left a message. I called 12 times in the next 5 months to resolve the issue, but I never received a call back. I called customer service 3 more times, and finally they adjusted the current balance, but disregarded the previous 5 months that I overpaid and repeatedly told me that they cannot back pay for the 5 months that spent trying to figure the situation out. Where do I begin to explain the difficulty we experienced with this company? Because of limited space and time I will condense this review into major problems. 1. Switching from ATT internet to Comcast internet required three appointments, Two times the technician was late. The entire process took approximately one month, and we are still waiting for the outside cable to be buried. 2. When the installation was complete, the technician informed me he needed to get on my computer to verify that it was working. Later when I got on my computer I discovered my home page had been switched to xfinity, my search engines had been switched to the xfinity search engine. and several xfinity icons had been placed on my desktop which have nothing to do with the overall functioning of my computer. Spent a grand total of 130 minutes on the phone with them and still got nowhere. That tells you all you need to know. I will be returning their equipment tomorrow. Sucks because their internet speed is great, but customer service is horrible, nobody in that office has any idea what is going on at any level. I had to make three phone calls to them, here are the three: Call 1: I had just moved and the first person I spoke to transferred me to three different people over a 45 minute period, none of which were any help, then I was disconnected. Call 2: I called back and asked for a supervisor, which apparently, there is only one in the whole building and after 35 minutes was transferred to a department who told me that the department who transferred me could fix my issue. 80 minutes total so far. Call 3: Hell apparently froze over because I finally got a manager and after 50 minutes, I was placed on hold then magically disconnected again. Grant total phone call time, 130 minutes. It's not a horrible service until you need them to help you. Avoid at all costs. read more

When I went to the UPS store to send my equipment back, the girl who helped me told me to keep the receipt and tracking number bc someone came in earlier asking for a receipt of delivery bc Comcast billed them for missing equipment. Totally didn't think it would happen to me, but it did. Thankfully I did keep the receipt and tracking number and it was shown to be delivered and signed for. Comcast is very incompetent and I am completely dissatisfied with the way they handle business. I am still in the process of getting the charge removed. The company I work is a major employer in Indianapolis and we use Comcast business internet services at several of our smaller offices. In the last 3 days I've been on the phone with Comcast trying to get a copy of the current invoice and have discovered they have better security on their customer accounts than we do by a long shot. Personnel I have dealt with have not been helpful and we continue to have no internet service due to a bill that someone misplaced and now we can't even get a copy of it. read more

When the service works, it's great. But when there is a problem, Comcast customer service will lie to you, cold transfer you into the wrong queue, and hang up on you. They will make appointments and never show up and then tell you there was never an appointment to begin with (even though multiple people confirmed it). If you have other options. Don't even brother trying to get service. Technician came to install new service today. Came inside looked at tv hook ups, told me needed to look outside & would be back. This is the worst customer service and I have ever experienced! They no showed for the installation, gave a phantom install date 3 days later, and then had me on the phone for two hours! Then, after I was on the phone the next day for literally 4 hours the next day screaming at people I got an install date for the next day. The install guy completed screwed up the install and I didn't get any of the channels I signed up for. Then another hour with customer service and they set up an appointment to fix the first guy's mistake. They then cancelled the appointment without notice and signed me up for another phantom appointment. I cancelled the service without even having it for 24 hours. HORRIBLE!!!! read more

Okay, I've had Comcast for more than half of my life. Truthfully, it is the best cable provider. It has the best set up, on demand is gods gift to this green earth, the fact that you can download the Xfinity app to your iPad or go to xfinity.com and watch it on your laptop is awesome. The channel set up makes perfect sense- movie channels are grouped together, news channels are grouped together, cartoons are grouped together, it makes sense and is easy to know what part of your channels you want to flip through or if you are guessing what channel the network you are looking for is on, you'll have a general idea of where to look. Now that I've talked about why it's amazing, I'll go into the not so amazing part. We called comcast to see about cutting down some of our package because of how ridiculously priced Comcast is. After being on the phone and actually getting the price cut down the lady talked us into buying an xfinity one box for our living room. It is supposed to be amazing- and everything it is designed to do is amazing. Except for the fact it doesn't do anything it's supposed to. The cable guy brought in five new boxes, though we only asked for one. After realizing that the person who took our order was an idiot, he called to make sure we wouldn't have to pay more for these new boxes. We got to keep the price we were quoted at and they were all installed. So after a few days, 5 out of the 5 boxes were messing up regularly. It was horrible. We decided to switch back. So a technician comes out with five regular cable boxes. We pay for digital cable. So no we are not happy with this and tell him to leave. After bickering with comcast for two weeks, we finally unplugged all of our boxes, drove up there, had them give us our five digital boxes, and installed all of them ourselves. These people are idiots. But the cable is awesome. I'd say for any cable lover, it is worth all of the bullshit you have to put up with, which is why so many do. read more

Called Customer Service, they agreed to next day ship it to me, it came 3 days later...small adapter box for my bedroom would not get the channels I needed and they said I would have to PAY FOR A SERVICE CALL to check the box...they gave me a X1 HD box for my living room which after 70 minutes on the phone trying to activate it the technician says "oh, it needs a filter and they have an appointment already scheduled to install that in 11 days from now"...I knew NOTHING about an appointment. I just cancelled my internet and cable service because as I closed in on a year of service, I noticed that my bill was going to increase significantly. I called first to see why and if I could change anything to keep paying a similar rate or if I could get more channels. Alas no. There was no customer service person even remotely interested in keeping me as a customer. I was told so much conflicting information that I began to wonder if I was calling the same company. Seriously Comcast.... seriously. What I think was the accurate story was my cost was increasing by 40% due to losing "free services" that were part of the promotion. When asked if I could just drop those services I was never given a straight answer of yes, or no. I literally talked or texted for hours. I think a classroom of pre-schoolers could run this company better than the absolute morons they apparently hire. So I was going to get LESS... for more money. I explained that I don't get channels I watch and was told well you can pay a ridiculous amount more but it would be a lot more than our budget allows. Comcast wasted 2 hours and 10 minutes of my time last night. 30 minutes was me trying to navigate my account on their website which kept leading in circles or pages with no content. The rest of the time was spent dealing with their representative. On 12/1/15, I contacted Comcast regarding changing my services to X1. Comcast said my new price to have X1 would be $197.88. I agreed. They then used a frustration tactic by having me wait for 43 minutes. When they came back they said I had to also pay an additional $33.98/mo, for channels I did not want. I said no. They did not honor the price they originally told me. So, they cancelled my change request. I also submitted a complaint to the Indiana state utility commission regarding their tactic. read more

For many years there was only one cable television provider in my town of Franklin- Comcast. This company knew customers had few options, and raped us. My rates increased an average of $50/year. Each year I was at their mercy, begging for a new promotional rate. They made me feel powerless. One day, I came home to find a Metronet van parked in front of my house. My yard was being unearthed for newly laid fiber optic cables. I finally was given a choice besides Comcast! When Comcast raised my rate by $80 this year without warning, and slapped me with a $234 bill for one month of service, I called Metronet. Comcast said they weren't going to charge me the $234, but still deducted it from my bank account. They refused to bargain with me, so I switched providers. My days of begging with Comcast are finally over. read more

After visiting the Comcast Xfinity store at 4225 East 82nd Street, Indianapolis, IN 46250, WHICH IS THE CLOSEST ONE AT 45 MINUTES AWAY FROM MY HOME, I am wondering why I have been a customer for so long. This store is absolutely terrible!!! I called ahead and also looked up on the internet where to bring my old equipment to turn in. After lugging heavy equipment inside from an empty parking lot with employees' cars obviously taking up the front spaces, I was greeted by a lady that never even looked up from her computer. She just stated that I had a 45 minute to an hour and half wait but if I didn't like that I could turn in my equipment at any UPS STORE...are you kidding me??? just to drop off old equipment???...AN HOUR AND 1/2??? And why didn't they tell me this on the phone or internet so I didn't trek halfway across town first! There is a UPS Store within a mile from my house!!! Looking around and seeing approximately 6-8 Comcast employees, several doing what it appeared to be nothing, and only 2 customers, another employee noticed the anger on my face. I wish I would have gotten her name because I would call her boss and recommend a raise for her...she helped me carry my equipment back out to my car and pointed me towards the nearest UPS about a mile away. When I got to UPS there were about 10 to 12 people in front of me, all holding Comcast equipment. Well thank you UPS! They took our equipment and got us all through the line in about 10 minutes at the most, with only two employees! Now why couldn't Comcast do that???? This cannot be cost effective for Comcast to send their customers a mile away to UPS so their equipment can be boxed up and sent back to them!!...but I guess they don't care about cost effectiveness because obviously they will just pass this cost on to us, the customers. So I asked the UPS lady what was going on. She remarked that ever since the nearby Comcast store got a new manager, it seems that EVERYONE is being sent to them...she didn't complain though, stating that this was 'job security'....COMCAST YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED!!!! read more
