Had a technician scheduled to come this past Monday since our service wasn't working, no show. Called and talked to a customer service agent for one hour and 10 minutes....got "everything set"per the agent, and set today for the technician to come between 3-5, no show. I called customer "service" again and got some guy I could not understand, he said he couldn't see where we had a service call scheduled, but would schedule one, but said it would cost us for the tech to come, I asked why, there was no installation involved, but our service wasnt working.....he hung up on me. I have Xfinity for all my home communication/entertainment needs, including Mobile phones for the family. I pay over $400 a month to this company (for now). Yesterday my phone would not do anything at all. Couldn't select any apps, phone, email, texts, NOTHING. I tried to reboot and it went into a 'Blue Screen' state with nothing but jibberish on the screen. Frozen. I go into Xfinity, telling them the phone(Samsung A53) has been a piece of garbage since I got the phone. The person was sitting in the Managers Desk. She was young and seemed bothered. She pronounced her name as Galilaya. She did do something to the phone and it finally came up. She handed the phone back and said "Here You Go". I told her I would like a replacement. Her response was that the phone was working and that if I had any questions I could go to Best Buy and maybe they could help me. I did not like that answer since I bought this horrible thing at Xfinity. Also when I got that phone I lost all contacts. Was told that was an issue with Google. If you do not like being treated as a bother and like good customer service you should stay as far away from them as possible. Like she said "You can go to Best Buy". What crooks! We went to the store on Kirby and discussed an agreement for service. We considered other options and went back to the Store and said to be competitive you need to remove charges for 2 adapters @ $5.99 each. After checking with whoever, wherever, the Agent agreed and wrote IN HIS HANDWRITING the adjusted price. We signed the contract. So we receive the bill it is $20.00 more per month - additionally they are trying to charge us for 4 fees for something unexplained. the contract the agent on the phone referred to didn't even have the same numbers as the one we have that was signed....it shows $6.99 each for the same adapters!!! Haven't been able to access On Demand for quite some time now. Oh sure I can unplug and plug back in my box but that gets old after awhile waiting for it all to boot up again and then doing it again the next time you want to see something On Demand. Finally had enough. Called customer service. Is that an oxymoron? Somewhere of in the nether world I spoke with someone whose advice, wait for it... was to unplug my box. Why hadn't I thought about that? She said that it was fixed but it wasn't. There was a change however. Now when I unplug the box and restart nothing happens! The way it works is you have to be a dime in a dozen to get lucky with the "package deal" YOU pay for. For example, there will probably be 4 out of 10 people who have absolutely no problems or delays with this place they like to call a company. But for those of us who are cursed have to sit on the sidelines until they decide when they want to help you. Which is probably 7 to 30 days. So if you want to take a chance I can't stop you! After a six-year ordeal with AT&T U-verse (see my review ... you'll wonder why we stuck with them as long as we did; we do too!), we had no recourse but to switch. Satellite was out of the question (especially since DirecTV is now part of the AT&T conglomerate), so our only option was Xfinity/Comcast. We went for the whole enchilada ... TV, Internet and phone. Installation was quick, efficient and very neat (the tech even cleaned up after himself ... couldn't tell he was there). Of course, it took a bit of doing to get used to the new TV setup (channel designations, remote, etc.) but we finally got it down without having to use the "cheat sheet." Overall, the services are superior to U-verse, but ... The channel placement is helter-skelter ... related stations are often all over the place. Examples: U-verse shows all network, sports, children's, shopping, Hispanic stations, etc. in specific sequential orders; Comcast has them scattered throughout the channel array. It can be done more logically. If your phone has a built-in answering machine, either turn it off and set up the Xfinity digital version (which is what we did), or keep what you have and don't bother with Comcast voicemail ... seems as if the two conflict with each other, causing all kinds of problems. We discovered this through trial and error. Comcast and/or the installer should note this in the setup instructions. We did have an issue with the new equipment (one box was defective) ... apparently, quality control in China leaves a bit to be desired. When we called Tech Support, they immediately diagnosed the problem remotely, and credited our account $15 for our trouble. We were able to quickly obtain a replacement box at the Voss Rd. store, and all has been running fine since then. I've always wondered why AT&T stores don't stock U-verse parts ... they either have to be shipped, or replaced by a technician at one's home. It's inconvenient, time-consuming, hardly cost-effective, and makes no sense ... but then again, nothing that AT&T does has any rhyme or reason to it. So, after four months with Xfinity, we're pleased ... TV reception is superb (this ain't your grandpa's cable), Internet connection and speed are as advertised, and the phone/fax is now functioning as intended. That voice-activated remote works pretty well, although we really don't have much use for it. I also like the website ... very well designed and simple to navigate. We're looking forward to an ongoing positive experience. read more

I'm sorry we have only had your service for about four months it sucks always fails to stream. movies blink off in middle of the show took us an hour to fix error why the tv would not go streaming on regular tv? it would blink off.. customer service rep took an hour shes speed talking going all over the place to try and help us at the end we found the problem then it came back on and this going on the internet your phone to troubleshoot the issue is a drag. we pay for a service now that the bedroom has the epic on demand but not my other three TVs that can downstream.... we would have to pay for three more TVs to get to do this. That's bad service.. I signed up with a saleman at the door. I specfiically asked what my price was going to be, and if it was a promotional offer. I was told it was the regular price, and that it was $29.99 a month. Now, 6 months later, I am told my bill is $80 a month, and they "don't have any 'promotions' available to me, even though they are clearly listed on their website. All Comcast wants to do is get you signed up as a customer, and then hope that you don't check your bill after a few months, when they jack up the rates time and time again. Horrible horrible service provider, and I have that feeling even before setting up my Xfinity account! I was told that with confidence they can have xfinity setup in my apt address and I went ahead with their offerings. They ran a hard inquiry on my credit and I was instantly verified because of really good credit. But even after that I was told to go to the local xfinity store with my ID to finalize the account setup and verify my ID (?) When I did that the next day, getting off from work-pushing a ridiculous traffic , I was told by the xfinity store at Tidwell that I "Didn't need to do this step!" What an absolutely terrible service by xfinity to start off! Giving all the wrong information to the customer. The next day, a tech comes in to setup connection in my apt and he can't do it because of some internal wiring issues at the apt. He told me that a wiring expert needs to come in and do the "internal" wiring. I asked him specifically if this was going to be internal or external wiring- as my apt doesn't allow external wiring. He confirmed that this will be internal. A few days later, the next tech comes in and tells me that they have to do "external" wiring and there's nothing they can do if the apt doesn't allow it. I called xfinity and they replied with the usual hyperbole like they were sorry and everything. I didn't receive any reimbursements or compensations because of all these inconveniences and now I don't have a working internet at my home and my credit score is down because of the hard inquiry. Word of advice, stay away from comcast and stay away from xfinity if you are in North-West Houston. Their customer service is terrible and you'll end up like me if you try to get a connection. read more

I was in the 5600 Kirby Drive store on Saturday, and without provocation, the customer service rep used "shit" three times during our conversation. I couldn't understand what it had to do with my problem, and soon realized it didn't. I was also conned into a company-owned modem, via phone, when all I needed was a new cable from the wall to my modem. It took four separate calls to finally get a customer service rep that attempted to solve the problem, and when we couldn't, scheduled an appointment for me. I wish there was an option to give 0 stars. I have never in my life dealt with a more poorly run private company. We currently live in an apartment where we can have whatever provider we want. If we move, one of the requirements will be that we can continue to have choice because I will never go back to Comcast. To summarize, there is no good section/division. Billing is terrible. My fiance and I have been dealing with billing because we canceled our service a week ago. When we canceled they said it would be effective that day, like we discussed and we would be pro-rated for the parts of the month that will not have service (you have to pay a month ahead). They also assured us that we would be pro-rated as well because we did not have service (modem and cable went out two separate times, service tech came to try to fix, just replaced the cable box and still didn't work. These are separate issues, which I won't even touch). In total, we have spent over 15 hours on the phone with billing and customer service canceling our service and trying to get help with the issues we've had with both the cable and internet. My fiance put it best, it seems like the people at the ground level seem sympathetic, but their hands are tied when it comes to actually doing anything in terms of customer service. For example, our pro-rates and the canceling of the service has to be approved and the approval has been sitting in someone's inbox since we canceled. In the mean time, we got a bill for a full month and a late fee. Worst company ever. I've had Time Warner and WOW! (Wide Open West) and they were OK and awesome, respectively. Comcast should be allowed to fail, but because they have a monopoly in a lot of areas. This is a lesson in how competition is good and monopolies are bad. read more

I would never again in my life EVER use Comcast after my terrible experience with it here. My apartment complex has a master contract with them, so as a base rate I pay $50 a month whether I have cable hooked up or not, for "Comcast Services". Internet wise- it works. Sometime it flickers in and out, but I generally haven't had any major issues with this. ~30/month TV wise - one mistake after another. 1. Sent wrong boxes to the house. 2. Went to the comcast service center in Pearland- called saying I would be there 5 minutes before close and was told they would wait for me... Got there and they locked the door in my face. 3. A technician was scheduled to come to the house and never called or showed up. 4. A technician came to my house and didn't have the box I needed so he had to leave to go find one - another 4 hour adeal. He was frustrated with it all too, saying he didn't have the support from the corporation that he needed to do jobs efficiently. 5. Ordered NHL center ice over the phone, which I was told would be $15 a month- until I got charged $40 a month instead. Not to mention, the package never broadcasts my team in HD, so it's like trying to watch hockey and not being able to see the puck. Waste of money. None of this includes the amount of time I spent on hold, waiting to talk to someone who typically was rude and not helpful. The only person I ever felt like solved a problem for me was the technician who didn't give up until I had a box - cudos to you, and I hope they know the value you added to my experience because you truly have been the only person to help me at Comcast, and you came through an aquisition! Not even a hired comcast employee! Best advice - NEVER EVER USE COMCAST for TV services. They treat their customers like dirt. read more

I've been with Comcast since they took over Time Warner in Houston. Was with Time Warner before that. Never had a major problem & the minor problems always got cleared up quickly and easily. I use them for tv and internet. As a comparison, the gym I go to has Direct TV. When it rains, blank screens abound. Not so when I'm back at my house. Love this! I call these people today to complain about one of their drivers who has decided to park his van in front of my house for days at a time. I found he lives further down the street, apparently he doesn't like parking in front of his own house. I'm limited on parking so my neighbors and I try to make sure these spots are used by us and our vistors. The rep asks for my name and service address and I said not relevant, I just need the local dispatch center for my zip code. The rep uses my phone number to get my info against my wishes and completely irrelevant to the matter at hand. I can't wait for this company to go away and exit Houston. I just spent my very first day living in Houston on the phone with Comcast's customer service labyrinth, filled with static elevator music, which I feel certain is a health hazard. I didn't want to believe all of the negative reviews on Yelp. (I mean, how many people really come here to make positive reviews of their Internet provider?). But, I can't be more amazed at the phenomenal stupidity of their Internationally placed robot staff, length of time I've been on hold and how ineffective people can actually be - without pretending. I finally sorted everything out after 12 phone calls and no less than 4 hours on the phone. (seriously 4 hours - not exaggerating!). I have been a loyal customer to them for over three years. I have to continuously called to get my bill fixed because my price gets adjusted automatically. When I called to speak to them over these matters they always give you free movie channels they give you the adjustment back and say that you no longer have to worry about it yet I call every three months to get this problem fixed in addressed. Today I spoke with three different people even a manager. He was even unwilling to help me, they do not listen to what you have to say because all three people I told I cannot sign a contract and what I was paying was $89 with no contract and they told me that I had to pay $120 for no contract. False advertisement is am epidemic. Companies sell a product and try their best to be innovative above the baseline only to supply lies at all cost. From the start my internet service has always had issues. A technician was sent to my home to assess the problem. The technician disclosed to me that my internet set up was set up four houses down for me and that is what resulted in the weak internet signal. The technician told me that they would be sending someone out to re- install my internet with a new modem since the modem I had was apparently outdated. No one ever came back to my residence. I did not even receive a notice that an appointment was made for my offline internet problem. . So, i took it upon myself to call xfinity had inquire about my dilemma. I gave the phone rep a brief history of my problem and that i needed an entirely new installment of internet at my home. This was far beyond a rebooting issue. An appointment was set for July 4th between 9am-11am. There's advertisement that says of the appointment is late after 20 minutes that some sort of reimbursement would be applied. Not sure on the particular but you get my gist. I get a call at 10:45 am from an xfinity rep telling me that the appointment will be running a little late. I said ok. It's now 1 o'clock pm. That is NOT a little late. That is 2 hours late. I have gone 3 consecutive days without any internet service or tv service. To make matters worse I have an exam that I take on July 5th and my source of study came online. Thank God for my smart phone. I'm able to use that to study a bit. Xfinity has horrible customer service in comparison to what they tout and promote. If they did not go out of their way to emphasize their fake great customer service this would not be such a big deal. They do not communicate well with eachother. You always have to repeat yourself to a different rep. With the technological advancements we have today, you would think they would have a system that logged the notes from a previous discussion. Whenever you call for a problem the reps are more concerned with selling you a promotion to lock you into a contract. Comcast/ Xfinity, Words cannot convey the level of frustration incited by your automated telephone system. If I could place your fictional automated character in a movie it would be Scream, and I would joyously watch as she is disembowled and crushed by a garage door. Instead, I am left yelling into my phone like a lunatic as she tells me she cannot understand me for a forth time and finally asks if I would like to speak to an agent. Why is there no way to bypass this? This is not my first dealing with Comcast and it often takes more than one call to resolve an issue. Yet, every time one must negotiate their way through the maze of "required" information to attained that coveted interaction with human personnel, only to be asked the same "required" information all over again. For context, my landlord is supposed to pay the internet and cable however she had not, so it got shut off. I called and paid the bill directly myself. The cable came back immediately, however the WiFi did not. Suffice to say my roommates and I were annoyed as we are all law students and have a lot of work. After 5-10 minutes of this preliminary screening one would think hallelujah! Rejoice my issue will now be corrected! Wrong! I got the pleasure of speaking to 4 different employees, over the course of 3 calls, trying to resolve my issue. They had wonderful insight such as I should turn off my phone and restart it despite the fact that no device in the house was working, then they would call back, which they did not. Finally, I spoke to a women who was very nice, however she also could not resolve my issue so she had to pass me on to yet another rep. He was delightfully condescending as he told me "If I wanted you to try to reconnect I'd have told you to" after he had me reset the router a third time and all the lights had reappeared. However, he did fix the problem, 45 mins - 1 hour later. In total I spent about 2h on he phone trying to get through and resolve this issue. Granted, I was being penalized for the bill being unpaid, however surly a late fee is sufficient punishment. Do I really need to spend 2h on the phone with your reps, poking my router with a hair pin and monitoring the lights? If only I could bill you for my time as well. Further, when I attempted to leave feedback, Comcast's/ Xfinity's comment box restricts the amount of characters so drastically one could say little more than good job. It also would not accept the comment unless I took my email address out of the provided optional space. Nothing says we care like don't talk too much, and I don't actually wanna correspond with you. So to answer the survey question, no I would not recommend you to a friend. I tried the security system and is so cheap looking. They tried to charge me $99 for installation---wtf! All it is are self sticking motion detectors and door sensors. The adhesive is so cheap, that when I closed my patio door, the sensor kept falling off; I finally put gorilla glue on it. I fired them very quickly and was able to do so within the 1yr contract period was up because I kept cable. All in all, you can buy the same system for a fraction of the cost and install it yourself. read more

i wanted an addition channel box and was told by online customer service to pick it from this location. When I got there I was told by clerk named Eric that they don't have access to bulk customers so I should call the customer service number. After spending half an hour with customer service rif outside the store to another trip I was able to get my order in and was told to back in the store to pick the box. Now this clerk Eric did a summersault and tell me that he does have box at all and I should have it shipped. At the same time his attitude becomes passive aggressive. When I asked for his name he reluctantly give his first and when I ask for his last name his another coworker also got involved again in passive aggressive manner. The store on Kirby has TERRIBLE management. The employees helping us was knowledgeable and had us squared away in less than 10 minutes. We proceeded to spend the next 60+ minutes with the employee floundering with an "AO" code. The manager/owner was not present and they are the only ones with the override code. This happened on 4 different customers while we were there. TERRIBLE service and despite reaching 3 different supervisors by phone (Sam? Mike? HENRY?) and calling the Xfinity support twice (they referred back to the supervisor with code). Left without getting what I needed. read more

He promised me that he was More than happy waive my tech fee. I gave him another chance, suddenly he transfer to tech suppose. He transfer tech support I spoke with Text for over 30 minutes. He set me up on Sunday no calls no showed I was so upstransed to billing who told me I had Sunday morning.
