We came during grand opening and it was a full house! This is not your typical all you can eat or portioned hot pot restaurant. Decor and ambiance is more high end than a mom and pops sit down. It's a la carte- you order as you go from an iPad with pictures (really helpful for people who's never eaten hot pot before). You pick two broths to start- we did the spicy szcheuan and tom yum. We ordered a good amount of the beef and veggies to go along with it. There's a sauce bar that's not too overwhelming to make your sauce. The meat is def better quality than most hot pot places around - broth was very flavorful but veggies were smaller portions? I also love veggies so I always want more veggies in my hot pot. Seeing some mixed reviews online for this new venture in town, so decided to share my 2 cents here below for whatever it's worth: Soup base (5/5 overall): 1. Quality (5/5): Not saying it's the same as the ones I had in Chong Qing, but honestly think they have one of the best soup bases I've ever had including the ones I had in China. Very different than the soup bases that were made out of powder. 2. Variety (5/5): I think the choices are fairly available here without having too many options which could lead to confusion. They know what they are good at, and I enjoyed the beef tallow soup and tomato soup. 3. Pricing (5/5): The beef tallow soup base came with two big blocks of butter. Seems like the butter is seasoned with a bunch of different spices. I ain't a professional chef, but from my experience of buying groceries for my household, I know as a matter of fact that amt of special-made butter ain't cheap. Would actually argue the soup base is cheap based on the materials. Food (4.5/5 overall): 1. Quality (5/5): I think the difference between carefully sourced food and affordable materials was pretty obvious to me. I liked that. 2. Variety (4/5): I know they are still in soft opening period, so giving it a fair benefit of the doubt, 4/5 here. They have what I needed, but would love to try more. 3. Pricing (4.5/5): I don't feel like it was cheap, but also don't think it's expensive based on the quality. Solid 4.5/5, in my view. Service (4/5 overall): 1. Hospitality (4/5): I felt the service was good given how often they come check and I give a 4/5 based on the effort. I do think certain things could be a bit more polished such as bigger smile, small talks, etc. 2. Efficiency (4/5): Don't think was over-the-top fast nor intolerably slow. Felt like it was a good 4/5, and I think having the free snacks helped. Ambience (5/5 overall): this one was a straight 5/5 in my view. Very good customer service and a beautiful design. When you enter, you're greeted by a worker, and then led to a table. The style of this restaurant is very elegant and very unique compared to other hot pot restaurants that I've been to. I also loved that they offer you aprons so that you don't dirty your clothes and a hair tie if you have long hair. The food was pretty good, but overall I was very pleased with the service. I loved this place and enjoyed my time with my friend. The broth was flavorful very spicy, which means VERY SPICY (in a good way), and the food quality is A+. The service was unbelievably quick, and I loved how accommodating and efficient they were. I think I ordered a Diet Coke on the app, which was delivered within 3 minutes. The whole meal was delivered within 15 minutes which is reasonable because the broth was boiling then. The protein is really good quality and the side dishes are as well. As soon as we stepped in, it was beautiful. Loved the music and the aesthetic. I enjoyed the mushroom platter and the taro sweet potato balls. I only liked the Tom yum flavor broth.. we got 3 and the other two was bone and medium beef tallow but it didn't say it was Szechuan so it was a little strong. But it's a Chinese hot pot so I understand. The sauce bar didn't have many options, so I didn't like it as much. Also you have to pay for the sauce bar $5 and some change per person. Meat and veggie quality was good but wasn't a whole lot of options and it's not all you can eat. Overall, it's not horrible I just think the broth could be more flavorful, and options could be more plentiful, and sauces. Staff super nice though! read more

i love hot pot and i love trying new places so i had high hopes for this place after seeing hyped up on social media. i was shortly disappointed within about 20 minutes into my experience. for most places you get what you pay for but here... you don't. vegetables like spinach and cabbage start at $5 minimum for a little tub which isn't worth it. meats start at $12 and broth ~$25 if you do the double pot. they don't have a wide selection of meats/veggies/etc and their sauce bar is also lacking. beware of their spicy broth. we ordered medium spice level and the broth tasted like extra spicy. we love spice but it got to the point where it was not tolerable and not enjoyable. we were trying to finish food for the sake of not wasting money since it's a la carte. the regular bone broth was pretty disappointing... it tasted like nothing and everything we added did not enhance the flavor at all. service was alright. you order from a tablet and it's brought out relatively quickly. however we did go on a wednesday night and there were only a couple other parties there dining with us. overall i wouldn't come again. i don't think this place will survive long due to their expensive prices (especially for vegetables!!!), lack of variety and poor taste...spend your money literally anywhere else for solid hot pot rather than this. read more

The hotpot here was one the best we've had in the area. Not only was the food amazing, the service was superb. The wait staff was extremely attentive even though the place was packed on a Monday night. They have a wide selection of items and even give you a free desert at the end of the meal. Also, don't skip out on the tea selection. We had the passion fruit tea and it was the right amount of tart and sweet. Will be back!! read more

Came in to have dinner with a friend after seeing a video about this restaurant and was very excited, but walked in with no welcome just a glance from the few tables that were in, but then back to their food. At first glance it seemed the few tables eating were all customers, but then my friend and I noticed that some were standing up to go into the kitchen and then back out to their table to once again. That's when we figured they were employees eating, even though it wasn't closing time. Even the employees who were coming in and out of the kitchen, didn't pay any attention, just seemed to be purposefully doing work without acknowledging us.we stood at the front, just to be ignored. After some time we decided to just leave, and as we got into the car we could see the table of workers look outside and finally we received attention. And finally as we are out of the store, we see another employee bring out more ingredients for hotpot. It felt like we were very purposefully ignored.
