The best was the homemade passionfruit oolong tea that paired so well with our spicy broth and this sparkling lychee drink!! I grabbed so many of those while eating.. I also like how each of the dishes come in small portions so you don't end up wasting food. They have so many unique desserts in the night market snack bar as well. It's SO spacious and so pretty here, they even have aprons and bag up your jackets & bags so you don't smell like hot pot (although my hair did smell like hot pot cuz i was digging IN). My boyfriend and I love this restaurant so much that we signed up for their membership program (if you deposit x amount of cash, Xiang offers you free credit to use on your meals). They give you this plastic bag to tuck your jacket into which helps keep the food smell off your clothes. From there you order your soup base and ingredients on the tablet. Everything comes out raw, so it helps to have a basic sense of cooking times, though most things only take a minute or two in the broth. The pork bone broth is a solid classic choice if you are not sure where to start. If the menu feels like a lot, picking a couple things from different categories like meat, seafood, mushrooms, tofu, veggies, and noodles usually makes for a great spread. While the kitchen preps your order, you can get up to grab unlimited soft drinks and mix your own sauce combos at the sauce station. The space itself is huge, good for large groups too though they do not offer individual pots. The host is friendly and most of the staff have a happy to help energy. All you can eat for $53 per person for the premium. They have a more affordable option for $36 per person. This however does not include the broth, which you will need to pay extra for. We got the Three Flavour Broth ($22) and choose Butter Caviar Spicy Broth, Coconut Chicken Broth, and Dregs and Vinegar Pot. The only broth we really enjoyed was the Coconut Chicken Broth. We didn't even get the spicy teddy bear as advertised, which was such a disappointment. In terms of portion sizes, one order of any meat, they barely give you much, so to save yourself the hassle and order double of what you'd originally get as they're very frugal on the servings (even though it's AYCE). All of the ordering is done on an iPad, so there's no need to wait for a server. The sauce station is pretty expansive. They have a fridge for drinks where you can help yourself to. There's a hot food station with essentially just apps. What you can get and cannot get without a membership was somewhat confusing. Pretty much ways to get you to pay for a membership, which is not worth it if your don't plan on coming back occasionally. There's other little experiences for kids scattered around, which looked gimmicky. They even carted around a cart full of plushies for purchase it appears. Overall, this hotpot experience was alright. I think Chongqing Wharf, which is a few blocks down, is a lot better. I always pass by this place but never actually went in until now. The exterior looks like an old traditional building from China, which really caught my attention. When we arrived, we waited a little before our table was ready. Once seated, they gave us an iPad to order from, which made things really easy. The tables were spacious, and the hotpot setup was built right into the table. It's an AYCE place with two menus: the regular and the premium (which includes more seafood options). I went with the regular menu, and honestly, it was plenty unless you're really craving seafood. Just note. While you pay for the AYCE portion, the soup base is an extra charge. Came here early on a Sunday around 4pm, there was no wait. I had a party of 7 and even though the place was empty the hostess made us wait to be seated until the full party was there. Once sat down you get to order everything from an iPad. This was convenient and everyone got to put in their own inputs. The food does come out fast. Food quality is good. I especially liked the mushroom broth base, it made everything so tasty! You also must go to the fridge to get your own drinks which are unlimited. No alcohol on premise but they allow BYOB. Our waiter was not very friendly or helpful. Did not explain the different packages of all you can eat ( different levels are different prices). Somewhat loud music but you can still hear your party and talk comfortably at the table. It is largely serviced through the iPad, and the only interaction is when they drop it off at the beginning, bringing you your items and at the end. We ordered the medium spicy soup and their new coconut chicken broth. The coconut chicken broth was unexpectedly sweet, too sweet for our taste but after a couple top offs, it evened out. Their sauce bar was nice and extensive for things to add. The milk buns from the hot bar had freezer burn and was somewhat inedible. Food is average... nothing special. Service is as average. It's hotpot so you cook your own food and they do not serve drinks but tell you where the fridge is to grab a drink yourself. Ambiance is nice but it really smells in there... not my first hotpot place but the smell was worse here. We drove from NJ for a friend's 30th to try this spot because she saw it on TikTok (by someone names tiff) and sent it to us. I will tell you right now... the TikTok is as not the experience at all!! Idk if she got paid or received a special free dinner to make that video or maybe she knows the owners but her video was far from the actual experience. The website said it was open till 2am and google said till 1am. We got there at like 10:30pm with a decent size group.. a few who never had hotpot before. They tell us the kitchen is closing in about an hour (it's all you can eat and not cheap). We were upset because the website did not say this and we drove about an hour to try this spot. They did not offer us anything and said we could only order the all you can eat buffet but that we could order extra in advance before the kitchen closes and still eat so we decided to stay. Wish we didn't. 1. We were rushed to order 2. They were out of several broths which we have to pay extra food. They also started removing the sauces early so we didnt have enough for our food. Ridiculous. They also said they ran out of the tea that is included but we could buy other teas. You say online you close at 1-2am but at 10:30-11pm you are out of a lot and stop serving stuff. You told us only the kitchen would close at 11:45pm but everything else would be fine. 3. So on top of charging extra for the broth which is not even included in the all you can eat buffet. You are forced to buy it because the meat/seafood comes raw and thats the only way you can cook the food. 4. Then they come while we are just start eating to say we have to pay now- we were sitting for maybe 20 mins! We were literally all really hungry and the first batch of food just cooled enough to eat and we had our jackets/wallets away because they had us put them in big plastic bags so they don't smell. So luckily one person offered to put it on their card so we all didn't hVe to stop eating and look through the bag for our jackets/ belongings for our money. 5. Oh and the bathroom was disgusting!! Overall, not the cleanest looking/smelling place but esp. the bathroom. Wish i took a picture. 6. Not a big deal but there were soooo many tables... not packed at all and no ones else waiting and they still made the party of 4 we dropped off while finding parking wait to be seat till everyone was there. AYCE hot pot for $36?! SAY LESS! This is such an amazing hot pot deal for so many reasons. There are so many options for all the items you can order and all the meats were good quality! All the broths are pork based, but they were able to whip up a spicy non-pork broth for me with hot water that ended up still being spicy and flavorful. They also have a fridge with drinks included in the deal where they had an amazing wintermelon iced tea, and traditional soda options. The space is quite large where people can sit comfortably. I also appreciate how they gave us bags to put our coats in, except it can only help so much when you're going to hot pot. I highly recommend coming for a birthday because they bring out a huge lit up sign bottle service style and then you get a raffle ticket you can use at their prize booth. It's hotpot season and finally decided to try Xiang the day before Thanksgiving. First off, the decor is 10/10, it's almost as if you're actually having hotpot in China. My girlfriend and I splurged and got the premium option with seafood. We opted for the tomato soup base and the coconut chicken soup bass (soup base is additional to the AYCE price, which comes out to around 75$/person, which is also the price for the premium Chongqing Wharf Hotpot) All the ingredients were quite fresh including the sweet shrimp, shrimp paste, clams, fish fillets. But the raw salmon and oysters looked a little sketch..We didn't find ourselves eating too much seafood tho, we probably would've been satisfied with the regular option. There were a ton of meat options and some ingredients that I've never even seen at other hotpot spots. Really enjoyed the tremella mushrooms. Deserts were free for members only, but it was easy to become a member (just had to fill a store card with money, which you can use to pay for your meal later). Deserts were also just okay, all pretty standard tasting, none were like "great". I really enjoyed the variety at this place but for the price I paid, I feel like it could've been better. Great authentic AYCE hot pot in Brooklyn! Went there for lunch before our flight back to PHX. This place is so cute looks like we traveled back to the Chinese Dynasty Era with the old school set up and ambiance. We picked the seafood package. It is AYCE but you have to pay for the broth on top of the price. Water and soft drinks are included. You just grab them from the fridge. We ordered everything from the Ipad. Server was very nice! She offered apron and a bag to put your jacket and bag to avoid the smell getting to your clothes! I picked the double broth. When we were first walking into the space, I was stunned by the grand chandeliers and amazing interior that was visible from outside the windows. The inside space is beautiful and luxurious, and a treat to the eyes. This is a great restaurant to take someone on a date to, or a casual more upscale family dinner. There are two options and we went for the premium option. That includes a lot more seafood. The sashimi I ordered tasted super super fresh. I had to get a second order. The meats were definitely clean and good quality with no smell to them. I like my food spicy, so I went with the spicy broth, which was super spicy, maybe a little too spicy. I'm not mad about it though. Just wish I made better choices in life haha! There is a lot of oil in the hot pot spicy broth. I think they could maybe turn that oiliness down a notch. Another thing I noticed is the sauce bar. It was a little lackluster for the experience for me. I think having more sauce varieties and having them properly labeled with the ingredients, especially allergens and pork etc would be super helpful. I really take a lot of joy and trying different sauces at hotpot so this part of the meal left a little to be desired. Food: The quality of the food at this hot pot restaurant is very average and a bit disappointing. The broth was probably the best part of the meal. We tried the coconut chicken broth which was delicious. They opened six coconuts in front of us and poured it into the pot as the broth as well as some other ingredients. This place is AYCE, and they offer a wide variety of hot pot items, but the quality was definitely very low. I would recommend going to Lao Jie instead whose ingredients are fresher and higher quality. We ordered a few items that looked very questionable and ended up not eating them to be on the safe side. It was disappointing that they would serve ingredients of that quality. They also have some hot appetizers next to the sauce bar which were also not good. Their fried mantous (fried buns) were dry and overcooked. There are much better AYCE hot pot places in the area, and I would recommend you skip coming to this one. Spend your money elsewhere. Service: Service is good; staff are very friendly and attentive. Ambiance: The decor is beautiful in this restaurant. If you're a fan of hotpot and ancient China decor, this is the spot for you! It was my second time here and they had a new dessert station with these little huts of tanghulu, crème brûlée, shaved ice, and grass jelly! In order to get the desserts, you must purchase a membership which is just their gift card and you can use that amount towards your bill too! Highly recommend getting the membership. My friends and I got 2 broths, 1 being the iconic teddy bear spicy broth which was very cute and tasty. The seafood menu is quite extensive and there's so much to choose from. They tasted fresh and honestly everything was so well kept and maintained in my opinion. It's such a beautifully decorated restaurant and even the servers' outfits were of traditional clothing to match the atmosphere. My friends and I decided to indulge in hotpot for new years eve and while I'm not a huge fan of hotpot I've been to enough to know the taste of flavorful broth and quality meats/seafood. My friends enjoyed their broths (chicken pepper and pork bone) for the most part but I didn't. Mine was spicy, not the flavorful spicy, just overwhelming with excessive peppers and no flavor. It was super hot and I have a high tolerance. It made the entire experience not worth it. Tears streamed down my eyes but thankfully the sauce I made added some flavor. I ended up using my friend's broth which weren't all that flavorful either. Granted I don't know if the spice burnt my taste buds I just wasn't impressed. The portions are fairly small, but you can place multiple orders and they seemed to bring the food pretty quickly. I had a great experience at Xiang! We got their new lamb broth and tomato broth - both were great. The lamb broth came with a lot of meat and bone marrow and was not that spicy. It could've been spicier in my opinion. All of the broths are pork based, and I'm not sure if they are able to change that. We came to Xiang Hotpot for the first time to celebrate my dad's birthday, and it was definitely a great experience--totally worth the money. They offer two options: an all-you-can-eat (AYCE) seafood option for about $63, and a non-seafood AYCE for around $35. We were seated and ordered everything from a tablet at the table, which made the process easy. Just a heads-up: the broth isn't included in the AYCE price--you pay separately for that. We got the tomato broth and the malatang (mild spicy), but I'd recommend going less spicy. I usually enjoy spicy food, but this one was intense! Drinks from the fridge are free, which was a nice touch. The meats like beef, pork, and lamb are sliced very thin, so I'd suggest ordering a good amount of those. This all-you-can-eat restaurant is worth a try. One question that emerged as I was eating here was if this is what bonding feels like. To bond with food, and through that, bond with the people close to you. I went with a friend and we ate like queens. I feel we even made friends with the people who waited on us. They were kind and always smiling (shout out to Jin)! The lamb broth was rich and spicy and the Chinese herb base was smooth and homelike.
