    AYCE spread
    Stacy T.

The place is very compact. The table is barely large enough for 4 adults and we have to put our jackets in a black bag that keeps toppling over. The sauce bar is pretty limited. I came from AYCE lunch special on Thursday for $30 per person. It includes broth and soda. The spicy broth and pork bone broth was very good quality. It added a lot of flavor to the cooked items. The selection for AYCE was pretty good, but the quality of beef decreased as our meal progressed. I did like their fish balls with roe, very soft. Overall, I don't think I would come here for dinner but maybe a AYCE lunch with just one other person because the table was so small

It's more of a 3.5 star for me.. place is pretty nice, can be taken care more especially the front area. Service was excellent, servers were very nice and attentive. The food..hmm..it's alright. Soup was pretty good, but not very memorable, sauce was alright, meat and vegetable was quite good. But the overall food experience was just okay for me.. Not saying never, but unsure if I'll come back.. Didnt order any beverage,I ended up paying around $55 with tax and tips.

Very good ayce hot pot in China town. Lunch is super affordable. The soup base was good, not hi di laow, but still good. What was the real stand out was the meat selection! I'm usually not a huge fan of the meats at ayce places.. they're usually of lower quality... not here. They were really good. The beef with egg was on the thinker side and very good. The lamb and beef were delicious. The pork belly was the most disappointing... they greens were limited.. only 2 kinds, but the dumplings were yummy, the had most of the mushroom varieties... you can keep ordering on the tablet, and they're very efficient. The sauce bar is included and not an extra. The glutinous rice dessert can be skipped though.. come hungry.

One of the best lunch deal in town for $29.99. Cute second Chendu deco for Marla delight. The quality of the meat, veg, choices it's above your avg all can eat 5/5 The service is polite and quick to change dishes & follow up. 5/5. I will come back with my family for sure

My first hot pot experience, and it was great! Da Long Yi felt authentic, and we certainly got our money's worth. The menu here is quite extensive, you have your pick of meats, seafood, sides, and vegetarian options, as well as an assortment of broths to cook with. There were also desserts that sounded good, but we didn't have any room left to try them. There's a sauce station toward the back of the restaurant, it felt a little 'Red Lobster' in terms of the communal aspect, and got quite crowded during peak dinner. But it was nice to have good options for dipping. The food looked and tasted fresh, hard to hide bad ingredients when they come out raw for you to cook at the table! You'll probably spend around $50-60 per person for a good amount of food, not including drinks. Not a bad spot for a big hot pot meal!

Food: This is one of my favorite hot pot restaurants in NYC! I came for their AYCE lunch special for $29.99 per adult (children are $19.99). There are 52 items included as well as drinks (canned sodas) and broth. This lunch special is a great deal because one can easily spend $70/person ordering a la carte here. Without the lunch special, this place usually charges for the broth. Two items, beef with egg and handmade shrimp paste, is limited to one per table. Other hot pot items include chicken, beef, lamb, pork belly, fish balls, veggies, taro, tofu, fried tofu skin rolls, noodles, lotus root, quail eggs, and more. The lunch special is only for Monday through Thursday from noon to 3 PM. The last seating is at 2:30 PM. I would also recommend this place when they don't have their lunch special as long as you don't mind paying more. The quality at this place does make up for the cost. Service: Service was excellent here. The staff were attentive and so friendly. They came by to refill the soup constantly without me having to ask. Their iPad also has a button to call waitstaff which is a nice feature. Ambiance: The decor and feel of the restaurant is beautiful. Seating is comfortable and spacious. They don't seem to have big tables so if you come as a large group, you might have to sit at separate tables. Each side of the table has drawers for napkins and a side shelf/table in case your dishes can't fit on the table itself. A very thoughtfully designed place. Overly, I highly recommend this restaurant!

Very good hot pot and even better service. Really enjoyed the food here and they had great soup bases as well.

Lowkey a bit expensive for hot pot ($50) but the quality was undeniably good. I also left reasonably stuffed and severely dehydrated, which is always the gold standard for hotpot-ing. Presentation was next level and the servers were super attentive. You order off of an ipad which generally just makes everything easier. The coconut chicken soup base and the medicinal soup base hit like grandma's cooking. The Chengdu spicy was not bad either, but definitely needed to order extra extra spicy. Highlights included the beef medallion (so juicy and tender), the ice jelly (mf best dessert on the menu, lychee jellies and red bean hit the spot), the fish balls with roe (ate two generations of nemo), and the shrimp balls (the salted egg yolk center was like a phoenix bun?). Other things we ordered include the lamb, you tiao (yum), frozen tofu (soaked up allll the hotpot soup), and black tripe (ok...was tasty but nothing special). If it's your birthday, they give you cold noodles and a taro tofu pudding (delicious, especially the spherified taro popping bobas) for free!

Stopped by for lunch on a rainy Sunday. We got there pretty early (right when they opened) so there were plenty of seats available. Decor inside is nice and clean (the ornate style that a lot of Chinese restaurants have nowadays). Overall, our meal was pretty good but just rather pricey. Some highlights: The prime beef slice might have been one of the cheaper meat options but was really good, def just get this. In contrast, we also ordered the angus rib eye which was rather dry and not that flavourful. Fish tofu was nice but really quite pricey for just 6 pieces :( Same comment for the fish roe balls that we ordered, too. The veggie platter was a decent variety/amount of food, but if I were to go again, I'd probably choose to order specific veggies I liked instead (platter was quite expensive for the amount). I liked the broth - we got half pork leg bone and half spicy - which was really rich and aromatic. To be clear, I do think everything tasted fine. The price point (if it's not clear already) is just definitely on the high side - it came out to be ~$50 per person for the three of us :\ I think hot pot is getting more and more expensive nowadays so perhaps I have some acclimating to do, but I'm sure there are just as good and cheaper options available still.

Good stuff! Went in for the Ayce deal on a weekday and the food filled me up. Would consider coming back to solo dine next time since the portions are pretty great for 1 person. I know they should be known for their hot pot but their fried mantous in condensed milk was OOF. Each serving comes with 3 mini mantous so order away if you like fried mantous like I do. P.S you can ask for aprons if you don't want to get your clothes dirty.

    VIP room (birthday dinner)

Came here for a friend's birthday dinner in their "VIP" room, and had such a blast! They have a wide selection of drinks (I'd recommend the Lunar lychee hard seltzer!). For hot pot, we got the triple base option (one spicy, two nonspicy) and a bunch of meat and veggie dishes. All the ingredients were super fresh and delicious! My favs were lotus root slices, taro, and fish balls. The service was excellent - the server even put all our jackets and coats into a plastic bag ahead of time to avoid getting the hot pot "fumes" over them. Because it was my friend's birthday, they also came in to surprise her with a neon lights birthday sign and a song. We also tried some of their desserts including a really good sweet soft tofu soup.

DLY is a chain from China, but Haidilao it is not. I wouldn't even compare the two, but they're kinda gunning for the same vibe with the elegant, modern decor and set-up. We got the Double Flavor Spicy Beef Tallow and Pork Feet soup bases, though I mostly avoided the former because I wasn't feeling like purging my insides for the next 48 hours. But even if I had, I don't think I would've liked DLY's version, which was way too oily even by mala hot pot standards. The Pork Feet soup was fine, but not distinguishable from every other version I've had. We split the Value Combo for 2, which would definitely not be enough food if both of you are starving. We tacked on taro and winter melon as well. Everything was fresh and prepared well, but no different than any other upscale hot pot spot in the city. My main gripe was that at 5:30pm, they were already out of several of the base items, forcing us to have to pay extra to choose something else from within the Combo options. And there are a lot of upcharges if you want something even slightly better. Total bill was $69pp. I've paid less for more. At least Haidilao gives you ice-cream.

Came here on a raining Saturday for lunch, and it surprisingly wasn't too packed. This is actually one of my first few times getting non-AYCE hot pot. There was a pretty large variety of items to choose from, they had all the classic items I usually order and my group even chose some items I'd never had before. The quality overall felt pretty good, although some of the cuts of beef we ordered was a little on the tougher side. Service was also amazing and incredibly friendly, it probably also helped that the place wasn't too crowded.

Came here with two other friends for dinner and we pigged out. We started off with Scallion Pancake with Shredded Duck ($15), which tasted amazing. The pancake was flaky and not overly soaked in oil, while the duck meat enhanced the taste. I think everything should order this for the table. We also got the Dan Dan Noodles w Minced Pork ($8), which is a staple dish in Sichuan cuisine. Make sure you stir the bowl to mix the sauce and minced pork. For veggies, we got the Sautéed Green Beans With Eggplant ($18), which tasted great. I usually get sautéed pea shoots for a veggie dish, but this was worth ordering as the eggplant tasted great along with the green beans. For entrees, we got the Spicy Green Pepper Fish Filet ($28 for filet). A classic Cantonese dish that comes with bok choy, so it turns out I didn't really need to order a veggie dish. Delicious. We also tried the OOHU Mao Xue Wang ($34), which may be one of the most spiciest dish available on the menu. This dish combines blood curd from a duck, tripe, and chicken gizzards along with other organs into a simmered broth containing chilis and peppercorns. They also use spam, vermicelli noodles, mushroom, and other things. If you're adventurous and you like spicy, I would recommend this. Best eaten with a cup of rice. Service is great as our server made good recommends and was overall friendly. They also have a party room you can book, which sounded pretty affordable. Don't recall what their minimum spend was, but it was super reasonable compared to a lot of other spots in Chinatown and Flushing.

We ordered multiple dishes which came out one after the other. Some of the standouts for me were the Pork Intestine Dry Pot ($20.95), Crispy Tofu with Salty Egg Yolk ($23.95), and Sauteed String Beans ($16.95). Many spicy food options since this is a Szechuan spot afterall. Some dishes were a bit too salty and spicy, which they did discount after we brought it to their attention. Overall, decent spot and good for large groups. Otherwise, I didn't find this spot to be too memorable (not bad, not great).

We got one white and one purple rice. Second visit.. Pork dumplings with chili oil - 3 stars - dumplings were okay, chili oil was good. Used the oil on other dishes.. we preferred the wonton soup. Lobster with ginger and scallions - 4 stars - Cantonese lobster dish that I've had countless of times. Ok. Mapo tofu - 4 stars - I don't care for tofu but L loved this dish.. even asked for a fork so he could pick up the tofu faster. Kung fu shrimp - 4 stars - fried shrimp in shell with a lot of chili peppers. Brought half of it home and added my own colossal shrimp to it and it was delicious. My shrimp was better but the chili peppers made them even more flavorful. My favorite dish was still the beef tendon and I should've ordered it again on my second visit but we wanted to try different things. Place was always packed but we never had to wait long for a table. Service was great. Refilled our waters and changed our plates when they noticed lobster shells were piling up. I didn't care for the cocktails much. Only tried one. Wasn't very strong.. too pricy for weak cocktails but they have other spirits available..
