I had xtermite work inside my house where I had termite issues, mainly in my baby's bedroom window. I got a quick quote and turn around service. Everyone was great. However my original reason why picking this more natural approach to termites was so I didn't have to leave my house and I understood less toxic. It's been a bit over 4 months and my baby's bedroom still has a very strong odor. I mentioned this to the company weeks after my service and was given bags to place around. The bags are still there along with the strong smell. I wish I would have known this before. It's my baby's bedroom and I just hate that the smell won't go. Maybe the option to leave my house and be done with it might have been better. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Their spray does NOT work! First guy came out was new and didn't know what he was doing, termites still were there. Second guy knew what he was doing but obviously didn't take care of the problem either, termites still there. You can't ever get them to come out in a timely manner to take care of the problem that they should never be there if the product worked. X-Termite rocks! We wanted a non-toxic option that wouldn't require us to evacuate the house for 2 days, and we found it with these guys! Our elderly house would be difficult to tent, as well. It made sense when their info video stated that only 5% of your house is even affected by termites, so why tent the whole house? They find and treat only the actually infested areas as well as surrounding wood, and the orange oil stays in the wood, to discourage future infestations. Caesar, Adrian and Kyle did an amazing job and were easy to work with. When Kyle had to come back to hit a new spot 5 months later, that was no problem. Daniel from Xtermite came out for a spot treatment as the result of seeing some droppings. Our appointment was for 9am and he was prompt, even though his commute was over an hour and a half! He greeted himself, was friendly and professional. We showed Daniel the concerns we had and he went to work. After he was finished he thoroughly explained where our issue was and that it had been taken care of. He took the extra step to make sure we knew to schedule our annual check up to make sure we got an appointment in a timely manner. Do not use orange oil. We contracted Xtermite when we started seeing termite droppings and continued to pay for 3 years. My daughters room was the one that had to have several treatments and suddenly our daughters room began to smell a lot. We kept seeing droppings and they kept coming out and just adding more oil to the same place over and over again. We decided to cancel our service to see what was actually going on. My wife then started smelling something weird in the room and we decided to open the wall to see what it was. After calling the company and asking for someone to come and look, they decided that since I was no longer a paying customer that they would not bother. I hired a contractor to open the wall and after $2000 found that the oil had gone bad from the sun hitting it all day. The wood smelled and even the insulation was soaked and smelled. We now have to open more of the walls because the smell does not go away. The contractor confirmed it was the orange oil and we couldn't regret it more. Sometimes the "organic" option just cost you much more in the long run. read more

Service was good, the representative was knowledgeable and the treatment was zero impact on food, pets and plants, which was incredible and the best part. While I can't know for sure how effective the treatment was, I can say the the termite droppings in and around our house are gone now, and we've seen no swarming yet, but you do get follow up checks, so that's good. In sum, I'm pleased with the value provided by a Xtermite. read more

I recently had termite service done on my home and was so happy with the customer service/treatment received from Neecole Brooks, the Sales Inspector that came to my home to access what needed to be treated. He was so very professional, kind and considerate. I felt very comfortable with the whole process from the time Mr. Brooks came to my home up until the time the job was finished by Isaac who applied the Orange Oil and who was also very professional, kind and considerate. When they spoke to me or answered my questions, I was always addressed as "mam". Both Neecole and Isaac did a great job of making me feel comfortable and explaining everything that was going to be done and where it was going to be done. I just found paperwork that Jacob Ryan came out to give me a termite bid on 2770 s.f. 2 story house 2017. The price to do the Orange Oil in my heavily infested house, was $4600. I did not use XTermite company and the Orange Oil, because it cost DOUBLE what tenting does, and Orange Oil only gets the termites where applicator SEES them and applies the oil. AND they have to drill many holes to apply the oil in the holes. So they will likely leave unseen termites (as one reviewer has described cost him a lot of money) to continue eating away at your house. But I will say good things about the sale inspector for my XTermite evaluation. He spent a lot of time doing his proposal on graph paper, and he was the only bidder who actually went into the attic to assess damage. Not only did me go into the attic, but I think he spent about 40 minutes in there! He told me that the law requires inspectors to physically go into the attics to inspect (I don't know if that is true or not), but no other company did that but Jacob Ryan for XTermite. There were other companies who's sales people stood on a ladder with their upper torso into the attic opening, but they did not crawl up there, only stood on ladder steps and peered in there with flashlight. I have quite a large attic too. I ended up using Hungry Termite to tent my house (see my 5 star review, plus referred my next door neighbor, HT did our houses at the same time) for HALF the price or $2300, because TENTING GETS IT ALL. Hungry Termite had the lowest tenting price and me and my neighbor are very happy with his job. I give Jacob Ryan 5 stars for doing his job professionally and spending so much time, but I do not recommend you use XTermite Orange Oil Treatment, unless your infestation is very small, and you KNOW that is the only place you have infestation. You could use orange oil for "touch ups" . I do not recommend using Orange Oil for SOLE PURPOSE to keep from having to live elsewhere for only 2 days, especially if you have heavy infestation. read more

We have a warranty through this company, well we have flying swarming termites in our garage and they quoted us over a month to come back out. Needless to say we will be finding a new company to address the issue properly. I've been using Xtermite for my house, since 1999 and I think that they do a great job. Most of the Field Reps have worked there for many years and that says a lot. They are super polite and I'm always surprised how much they remember about my property, when they come to do the annual inspection. Most recently, I had Ceaser do the annual inspection and he was great. I don't do many reviews, but these guys really are good and so they deserve a great review. I highly recommend them. I am a realtor in San Diego. My client had a three year contract with XTermite company to take care of the home and make sure there were no issues with termites. They had paid 4,000 for this service. When it went into escrow and we checked to make sure there were no termites, we discovered the house had thousands of dollars of damage. Even though they were under contract for this service, absolutely nothing had been done. They would not admit to any reason as to why all this damage was found and why they had not treated the house for termites during the three years. The owners now had to hire another company to come and give their report as well. and then they had to spend at least 5.000 to repair all the damage, ONLY because XTermite did not do what their contract stated. They should not be trusted by anyone. Also, while dealing with the staff on the phone was very unprofessional. I would NEVER use them again. read more

After leaving a negative Yelp review, X-Termite reached out to me immediately to send the tech and a supervisor out the same day, instead of months later like the phone service person wanted to do. The supervisor was friendly, and they completely addressed treating all of the areas that were infested. It's unfortunate that you have to leave a review on Yelp in order to get action. But I see that I am not alone. A good company should have enough staff, so that appointments don't take 4-6 months to get. It's great for them that they have so much business. But for the price of thousands of dollars. If the initial 1-2 hour inspection and 2-3 hour treatment does not hold up for a year, they need to have enough techs to handle follow ups in a timely manner. That's just good business practice. If you have had trouble with X-Termite customer service and getting an appt in less than 60 days, ask to talk to a manager or use Yelp to tell about your experience. read more
