My daughter had a therapy appointment across the street, so I decided to get lunch while she was being treated. After looking at all the good reviews, I chose Xtreme Sushi as the place to go. BIG MISTAKE! I ordered the Tuna Poke Bowl, and then added an order of Salmon Ngiri. The tuna was very hard compared to other poki's I have eaten, appeared to have mushrooms in the mixture (not mentioned in the ingredient list), and the chili oil was overpowering. The bowl comes with 4 pieces of California Roll, and this was by far the best part of the meal. Next came the salmon. I have been eating sushi for over 30 years, and have never tasted salmon ngiri or sashimi like this. It literally tasted like fish that was old and just about to spoil, down to that slimy texture that fish gets right before it smells / tastes bad. Even with the frustration regarding the quality of the food, the worse part was the ambiance. They were playing music videos projected from a laptop to a flat screen, and when I walked in Meghan Trainer was playing. Unfortunately, next came 4 unedited songs, with a combined total of over 50 explicit sex terms, as well as numerous references to sex acts. What offended me is that this is supposed to be a restaurant that is more family friendly. If I had brought my daughter into the restaurant with me I would have been pissed, and while everyone is entitled to listen to whatever music they like, there also needs to be some thought put into what is and is not appropriate in public. Bottom line: Very poor food, and total lack of moral responsibility. Obviously, I will not be back. read more

I first came here because of a friend's suggestion, and I have to say this place does not dissappoint. They have a buy 2 get 1 free deal on teriyaki bowls! So for $14 you're getting 3 bowls, which include a few pieces of california roll too. The service was very quick, and the food was high quality. Great service and great quality. It's usually quiet but can get pretty full around 12 during the lunch rush. Biggest perk is that you can be seated right away without a wait. I eat here at least 2-3 times a month and I definitely recommend this place to friends! read more

I've never dined in - always get it to go - and always am satisfied. My favorite rolls are the I Love Your Ass and Rainbow. They're always made to order and taste fresh to me. Not my favorite spot but better than most. I think the rolls are a little expensive for what they are but definitely will return, as I have plenty of times before. read more

Simply fantastic and fresh sushi. The spicy garlic edamame is a must. Spicy, garlicy, with just a touch of sweet. We ordered a seaweed salad, which was served atop a lettuce salad with great ginger dressing. Ordered the pink ranger roll and the joy nights roll, and my aunt ordered the bamboo roll and tuna sashimi. It couldn't have been any fresher or a better piece of tuna. First off, the food was excellent. However the service was very unprofessional. As we walked in we were immediately ask to wait outside while there was plenty of tables to sit at. Then when we finally sat down we ordered drinks and egg rolls. Then we ordered our dinner and my wife ordered salad and ramen soup. First come out my dinner nothing for my wife and no egg rolls yet. So we reminded the server. Then my wifes salad and rice comes out and still no egg rolls. By the time the egg rolls come out my wife didn't get her ramen soup. Again we had to remind the server. After sharing my plate with my wife we cancelled the soup and left with out a tip. Food is good for take out. If you dine in, make sure you get a good server. read more

One particular time I thought to tip in cash instead of card, this GH deliverer questioned me and said..."do you have a tip, most ppl like to tip in cash" awkward. I love extreme sushi! I live very close and am really happy to have them within walking distance. Los Alamitos really needed another sushi place. The prices are affordable (especially now that they have a new Lunch special menu), the service is consistently attentive and efficient, and they play interesting Korean pop music which I find extremely entertaining.
