I have frequented this place and its a hit or miss. The latest one was a bad experience, we placed an online order, 45 mins later went to pick it up, the staff forgot to make the order, wait of 10 mins. No big deal, mistakes can happen. After coming home, realized that brown rice was half cooked, we could see the white in the middle of rice grains. The rice bowl was inedible, since uncooked rice was stuck to most of the food. Called the restaurant and requested they refund the amount of the bowl. The lady at front desk said you are the only one complaining, still took my number and said manager will call back. SO DELICIOUS! Ordered dolmas, a gyro, and a falafel wrap online and it was ready very quickly for take out! The dolmas were fresh and you could tell they were homemade. We've carried out twice now and love the food. Service has also always been good and the people working here are friendly. The food is very fresh and portions are very generous especially the meat. We've tried various varieties of the bowl options and have enjoyed all the combinations/sides. The falafel are always fresh and super delicious, kale salad is delicious and you can't go wrong with the delicious hummus and smokey creamy Baba ganoush. Both the chicken and gyro meats are fresh and delicious. The only suggestion I'd have is for them to make the garlic sauce a little more "garlicky" as the garlic taste is very light/mild. Wow so we were looking for a Mediterranean spot and decided to try Yafa. I read on their website it's halal meat and the sides are vegetarian and some are vegan! and that they opened in 2017 there are two locations. Food: -gyro: my dad ordered this and from what I saw, there was plenty of meat. -plates: I tried some chicken and gyro. I prefer gyro and thought it was seasoned perfectly. The chicken had decent flavor but maybe bc it's halal, it's a little gamey in flavor. What I appreciated was that all meats weren't overly seasoned. White rice was standard, cucumber tomato salad is the Mediterranean salad there and had a lot of flavor. The bean salad was alright.. beans with bits of corn and onion. The baba ghanoush was creamy, a little Smokey. And the hummus was smooth and creamy too. I sampled my husbands spicy hummus and man, that is different (in a good way) from any spicy hummus I've had! It has a lot of spices and some heat. The warm spices almost reminded me of Cajun seasoning. The kale slaw was ok. I liked the dressing on it but it came with a lot of spring mix... which I didn't order.. so maybe to cut down cost, they mix kale and red cabbage with it? -falafel: so I've had falafel maybe at 5 diff places and here they have some sesame seeds on it which is different and tastes a hint of herbs. It's less food processor like than most places and less seasoned, but still has flavor. The bigger crumbles help it stay moist inside I felt. To be fair, I'm not a huge falafel fAn but theirs is decent. -sauces: their sauces are on point. I had The tzatziki and garlic sauce which are flavorful and bring out flavors in the rest of the meal. -pita: plates came w pita which I'm not sure if they make there. I Assume so since there was a dusting of flour on the outside. I liked the pita here more than at gotta eatta pita which had an odd (maybe egg white wash) on top giving it a harder shiny look. But I think my fave pita is Orens. This is a close second! -my only gripe is I wish they had written descriptions of some of their sides so we knew what was ordered. "Mediterranean salad" versus "Greek salad"- I figured bc ive had those types of salads what was in Greek but unsure of Mediterranean. And gyro is usually lamb/beef but it's not written on the menu but I think few places just use beef. My dad ordered gyro and I didn't know he doesn't like lamb lol and said it usually is a combo of the two yet he enjoyed it. Whenever I'm in the area again, I'll be back! Portions are great, leaving you full. Meats and falafels are seasoned lightly but have flavor. My sis and mom ate part of theirs only but it takes skill like me to finish mine haha. read more

I love Yafa Hummus! I don't go anywhere else but Yafa for Mediterranean food. I've been to both the Tracy and Dublin locations and neither disappoints. The team there is so helpful and pleasant. I've never had anything short of an amazing experience. The food is always so delicious especially after a long day. My favorite item on the menu is definitely the lentil soup! I get so sad when it leaves since it's only seasonal, so make sure you go out and try it before it's gone for the season!!! Every year it just gets better, it's insane. The backhomestyle is another item that will make your mouth water. Everything on the menu is so tasteful. We stopped by last night around 8:30 to try this spot out, having heard good things. We ordered a wrap and a bowl with 2 sides of hummus. The schwerma and gyro were awesome. Perfectly seasoned. I'm always leery of hummus having worked in a small Mom & Pop Lebanese deli on Palm Beach, FL. HOLY BEJEEZUS i'll never make hummus again! The classic hummus was banging! The texture was amazing, so smooth...actually like butter. The spicy hummus was hot and smoky. I had ordered a pesto hummus but received a second classic. No complaints here but i was looking forward to trying it. I know where to get more. I'm a new fan now and I'll never make hummus again! I'm gonna have hummus in my dreams tonight yo! Literally the worst food experience of my life. I never right bad reviews either because I've been In the food business my entire life and only like to leave positive reviews to make resturaunts and other servers look good! But this experience calls for me to say something because of how deathly sick I got from the food here. It's outrageous. I ordered the gyro and not only was it super bland and "blah", the meat was pink on the inside!! Gyro meat should never ever be Pink! It also wasn't sliced thin, it was cut in fat chunks. By the time I realized the gyro meat was slightly pink I was already half way done so the damage was done. About 6 hours after consuming it I was deathly sick! I spent a lot of the night in the bathroom (TMI), chills and the sweats. I had the worst stomach cramps of my life. It felt like knife pain. I know for a fact it was from the gyro because it was the only thing I had consumed all day long. Anyways, horrible horrible experience. I will never ever eat there again. I don't know how the place has such great reviews because the food is shitty on top of it. read more
