Great food, excellent service, and fair prices. We will definitely be back again soon.

We read about the Yakamein House prior to coming. We agree with the reviews! Excellent yakamein and 5 star customer service from Yanni. We will definitely be coming back!

Five stars hands down. I got classic beef yakamein & it did not disappoint. Its been a little chilly and a nice hot bowl of yakamein was just what I needed. The flavor was perfect. Portion size was perfect. I would like to try another protein next time.

I've seen a lot of posts on this place, and honestly, I've only had Ms Linda's yakamein. I really wanted ramen but this was much closer to where I was so I figured why not. It's super casual..I didn't really like that I was given my order as a to go order even though I said I was dining there. I had the yakamein with shrimp. Broth was way too salty so I wasn't able to eat all of it. Shrimp and noodles were cooked fine and it was a decent portion size. They offer 3 types of protein..shrimp, chicken and beef. Only street parking available. May give them another try.

Soooo gooood! Wish I lived near by. I was sad that the oxtail is only on Thursdays since I'm going back home on a Tuesday but I enjoyed it thank you so much

The food is excellent. They will give you a sample to try. The oxtails is amazing. They have everything from tacos to yakamein Philly steaks with yakamein juice on it. The service is excellent. The ambience is great. I give this establishment a 10/10 and it is a must try. I think they've only been open under 2 years, very nice people. We visited when we were here from out of town

Was dealing with cold symptoms, so I wanted to eat some hot soup. I decided I should get some yakamein and looked up yakamein spots. This one popped up and since I'd heard of it before, I decided to try it one Saturday. It's located on a corner and there is only street parking. I went in and there was a guy working there who took my order. I decided to keep it simple and just get the beef yakamein. While waiting, one couple came in to order food. It took about 10 minutes for it to come out which wasn't bad. I opened it once I got to the car and the presentation was nice. I stuck my fork in one of the beef pieces and it was really tender. Once I got home to eat it and consume some of the broth, I realized it was really salty. I had to add a good bit of water to it so I could eat it. Also, the meat wasn't consistent, some pieces were tender while others were pretty chewy. Besides the broth I feel like they give you a good amount of meat and noodles. If the broth was less salty it could get a 4/5.

Man man man! This Beef Yakamein was the best I've ever had. I originally wasn't a big yakamien fan but this place made that change. The broth was so flavorful perfectly seasoned and had the right amount of spice! I can only imagine this on a super cold day it will be the perfect meal. The beef was real tender but it still had a nice bite to it, it wasn't falling apart I really enjoyed that. The noodles had the perfect the chew was amazing they were cooked really well. The only down fall is they ran out of eggs I was shocked! The service was pretty good the young lady was really nice, and the food came out in 5 minutes that's always a plus! I was really amazed I will be back to explore the menu!

The taste is there, it's good but way over priced for the amount of yakamein you get. I got the beef and shrimp. It was $24 bucks, a little bowl I got

Excellent food, friendly service. The dining area and bathroom were very clean. Even though the space is fairly small, they can fit a lot of us in there. We dined in and enjoyed the atmosphere so much that we stayed for over an hour. My chicken pho was well seasoned and hardy. The egg was perfectly cooked with a soft yolk cooked at the perfect temperature. I'd had Yakamein House for takeout and was even more impressed with the food in person. Before we left, we decided to try the praline poundcake. What a rewarding decision. We LOVED that dessert. I'm not even big on poundcake and I would order it again.

Honestly, this was my favorite thing I ate while I was in New Orleans this weekend. When my husband and I arrived around noon on Saturday, it was pretty busy all of the tables in the small dining area were full, and there were about three other parties that were standing seemingly waiting on their food. My husband ordered the cheeseburger, Poboy, and I ordered the yakamein beef bowl. The cashier was really helpful. After ordering, we waited for what seemed like a while. I was going to give it 20 minutes before I inquired how much longer with the cashier. However, I got a text that my order was ready after 15 minutes. I will say I did feel bad because we received our order before the three other parties that were standing waiting when we walked in... however I have no idea what they were waiting for and what they ordered. We took our food elsewhere to go eat and love the flavors! The poboy was so big. However, we did ask for a combo and did not receive the combo. I would try this place again, but I would definitely order an advance and go for pick up.

I have had the oxtail yakamein in Houston at 1929 Poboys Cafe. I thought it was the best yakamein that could be made, but came to New Orleans with a beautiful friend of mine, she knows who she is, and I want to thank her for bringing me to the yakamein house in New Orleans, because this was some of the best food I've ever had.

I tried this place after constantly seeing it on social media and this is one of the places the internet didn't lie about. The food was good! Well seasoned and full of flavor! YES BROTH!! Not a bunch of seating inside but they do have a few tables. Counter staff were knowledgeable and friendly.

Guys, it was THE BEST CHICKEN SANDWICH I'D EVER HAD. It was lava hot, juicy, and greasy. It was also absolutely delicious. I was concerned that the thigh meat was going to taste different. But I could not tell. The fries were crinkle cut, but were seasoned well. Didn't even need ketchup for them. The place is very clean and they had 80s music playing in the background, my favorite decade of music. Not surprising, being an 80s kid. The damage all told, including a tip, was $25. Is it expensive? Yes. Is the quality and quantity of the food commensurate to the price? Also yes. Is it worth the hype? ABSOLUTELY YES. I was also informed there's a Hammond location. I will definitely bring my family there, as it's closer, to try them out as well.

We were curious about and not many restaurants offer fresh made pork cracklings. Usually you have to buy it at a local market or know someone. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They briefly went over a few recommendations. We started with of course, order of adobo fresh pork cracklings. Adobo or traditional** crispy pork belly, adobo sauce, topped with garlic peanut rub Southerns Queso burger - 6 oz. beef patty*, pickled jalapeño, queso, beer battered onion ring with order of fries. Tender meal - Choose your spice level. 3 jumbo chicken tenders, fries, and tender sauce. (Mild) Southerns Original Chicken Sandwich - Choose your spice level. Boneless chicken thigh, Yuzu aioli, slaw, housemade pickle. (Mild) I was curious about the Phuket Sauce. So I got an order too. This tastes great! Not spicy at all. Do not let the pepper fool you. It has a little kick but not spicy at all. All are well seasoned. Few of them you can choose your spice level. We all washed down with fountain drinks. They do offer catering services and possibly call ahead ordering. Please reach out to them for options. If you are in the mood for something different but great food. Give them a try if in the area.

Though pop-up showers were still lingering, my husband and I decided to take a gamble on courtyard dining--and I am so glad we did! Sheltered under the green umbrellas surrounded by historic brick walls, lush greenery, and rain-kissed citrus trees, the atmosphere was incredibly romantic and peaceful. The courtyard's intimate layout even brought a bit of extra magic to our evening. We sat near another wonderful couple (and their adorable daughter) and became fast friends, sharing laughs and conversation throughout the night. What truly anchored the experience, though, was the incredible service. The staff was remarkably personable, helpful, and welcoming. The dinner itself was excellent from start to finish, showcasing immense culinary skill across every dish. We started with the delicious brussels sprouts and a uniquely seasoned spring/summer gumbo that was unlike any version we've had before (oh, what I would give for the recipe). As for the entrées, the shrimp and grits were phenomenal, and the blackened catfish sandwich with a fresh salad was executed flawlessly...and the bread pudding was fantastic, too! It is rare to find an experience where top-tier hospitality, a breathtaking environment, and great food come together so (seemingly) effortlessly. Café Amélie is an absolute must-visit! The salmon was crispy on the outside with a nice sauce over it. We thought we'd have time to get dessert so we ordered a couple but that too took a very long time. We finally waved down our server to cancel and get the check since we had to be somewhere and he apologized and said their WiFi was going in and out so it could be that it was registering on the kitchen side. That may have explained why our entrees took too long. If it wasn't for the service and the food being great - I would not be thrilled about timing. We got there around 5:30p and had to leave by 7:15p so an almost 2 hours experience that probably could have been 1 hour.

I offered to order food to-go so we could at least sit down and get started while waiting, and she told me if I did that they would remove our name from the waitlist because "you have to pick one or the other."
