Located within the Real Produce grocery store is a full on Mediterranean Food Court. They offer the usual suspects like gyros, falafel, and the like. Given how much we liked the market and needing lunch we put in an order and it was really good. In fact we came back a few days later to make sure it was not a fluke (It wasn't) Each plate comes with a small salad, batsmati rice, hummus, half a pillowly warm pita and you chose your protein. All plates are reasonably priced at $9.99 Beef Shawarma Plate: tender pieces of beef that were well seasoned. Unlike some places it was free of gristle as well. Chicken Kabob: Again tender pieces of chicken with a hint of turmeric and perhaps saffron. Again perfectly cooked. Lamb Kabob: A touch chewy, slightly overcooked, but had again really good flavor, Beef Gyro: TO be fair I was a little concerned as it was reheated prior to packaging, but I cannot complain about the flavor or the results. Hints of garlic and other spices, it was perfect with rice and hummus. Falafel Plate: Perfectly fried bits of goodness. Crunchy exterior gave way to a cooked but moist center busting with parsley, garlic and cumin. It was not falafel enough to muscle into the top spot in my rankings, but it easily made it into the top 3. As noted each plate came with a: Salad: fresh and crispy. It was a bit inconsistent as the second trip it had no dressing. Hummous: a touch on the runny side but had great flavor again with the cumin and garlic coming through but not overwhelming. Rice: The batsmati was properly cooked and it was refreshing to see it was not loaded up with butter as many places do. The staff is friendly and helpful. It can take time to get the order out so be prepared. In fact I would order first and then do my shopping. Good food reasonably priced will win every time!

    Chicken Kebob Plate. Excellent!

I just tried my first chicken kabob plate and it was delicious! I had to share with the town how the fruit stand is fresh and I go all of the time. But the food is so good.

Honestly, I love this place! Been coming here for months and the amount of delicious food you get for the price point is great especially for Palo Alto. This kitchen is part of the grocery store which is incredible because I have seen them pick up groceries for the kitchen to use. Honestly, I wish I had more photos to post to showcase the different hot food they have but it's so good that I usually end up inhaling it too quickly and forget They have a hot foods, cold foods, and desserts section. There's a diversity of hot foods everyday, usually ranging from stews (beef, lamb, chicken, eggplant, okra), roasted chicken, roasted vegetables, this delicious cauliflower yogurt thing that I unfortunately didn't get the name of, lentils, rice, etc. You can ask for hot sauce on the side. The food is always well seasoned and delicious! At the cold food section, there's hummus, baba gaboush, all sorts of salads, dolmas, tabouleh, etc etc. I personally love the cauliflower salad! The desserts are filled with all sorts of different pastries, baklava, etc. I haven't had too much of this as I don't have the biggest sweet tooth, but it's pretty good. If you ever catch the chef there, Hanna, say hi or something! He's super friendly and personable and makes all the food fresh everyday. He's currently working on getting a site up and running for this place so that there will be online updates on the (hot food) menu for each day. As for now, you kind of just have to go in and see what you get, but I have yet to be disappointed!

Omg!!!! So freaking good! You must try the chicken plate!

Omg! Look at this Chicken Kabob! So good! Just to let you all know they make it fresh on the spot. You have to be patient and don't worry it's delicious! You should stop by over the weekends. They have Kabobs grilled and the taste! No doubt! Delicious!

There's a beautiful outdoor area in the back with tons of tables. Even though it was super busy, we still had our choice of a few tables, and the foliage/patio umbrellas make it nice and shady. Our food was also delicious! We got: Prosciutto and egg sandwich - eggs were super light and fluffy, and the sandwich was well balanced and cheesy too! Fat and fluffy French toast - such a generous portion and the berries and whipped cream were so yummy! The toast itself had crispy edges and was super fluffy! They have such a large menu too and I'll definitely be back to try more!

Mid week brunch meant a quieter atmosphere and open seating. After perusing the menu we ordered at the counter before sitting at a table after picking up utensils and water. We ordered Fambrini's Breakfast, Brie & Mushroom Omelette, Crab Omelette, and shares the Lotus Biscoff Pancakes. Everyone loved their egg platters. The eggs were perfectly light and fluffy. I generally avoid omelettes getting scrambles instead because restaurants tend to overcook the eggs. Our dishes were prepared with quality and flavor in mind. I personally had the crab omelette and left no crumbs behind. The potatoes were well seasoned and wish I had enough room in my tummy to finish them off! The drip coffee was bold and delicious not watered down at all! Finally, we shared the 2 stack biscoff pancakes for a sweet finish. The pancakes were bouncy with biscoff sauce and a mound of whipped cream. This was mouth wateringly delicious. I don't have much of a sweet tooth but this was so yummy. This isn't a traditional sit down service but counter staff were friendly and efficient. There is a small parking lot off to the side and there is indoor and patio seating. Come by for a meal and you won't be disappointed! I wish I lived closer so I could taste the rest of their meal. Kudos and thanks for an awesome meal!

The customer service was excellent from the moment we walked in. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and created a great atmosphere. I ordered the tuna sandwich, and my husband ordered the tuna combo. Unfortunately, neither of us was overly impressed with the taste. It may be because we were comparing it to a tuna sandwich we usually get from another deli, and this one just didn't quite live up to our expectations. We also tried the lemon pie and apple pie, which were both decent and made for a nice treat after our meal. Even though the food wasn't exactly what we were hoping for, I would definitely come back and try something different because the customer service and overall energy of the place were outstanding. Sometimes a great atmosphere and friendly staff are enough to make you want to give a place another chance.

San Jose certainly has its share of local banh mi gems, but I jokingly told the staff at the front counter that I'm surprised they haven't opened a location in San Jose to serve the Vietnamese community there, too! Truthfully, I just want them closer to me so I don't have to make the drive. :P I got a large combo of SaiGon's Signature which was the classic cold cut sandwich with Peach Strawberry fruit tea. The first thing that immediately struck me upon first bite was the ASMR-worthy crunch of the baguette with a soft, pillowy chew for the interior. You can tell the bread is made with care, and for me, great banh mi always starts with great bread. The fillings were just as enjoyable. While I thought the protein could have used a touch more seasoning, it didn't take away from the overall quality or experience. This is the flavor profile I still expect from a cold cut sandwich. There was a healthy slathering of pate with just the right amount of pickled vegetables to bring in that brightness to balance it out. I bought a large sandwich with the intention to bring the other half home, but that was a total failure. Both the hubby and I ended up eating our entire sandwiches there! Oh, and my fruit tea was yummy and refreshing! Can't make it to East San Jose? Saigon Breadfast is a great alternative. It's absolutely worth giving them a try!
