I got pizza man flavor pepperoni and corn steamed bun, and it's so yummy!
Mariel C.

Whenever I always pass by in Downtown LA close to little Tokyo village. I always buy one pizza man steamed bun from Yamazaki bakery for breakfast it's was delicious and the service was great and the ambiance was cool! I will always come back for to buy another one of pizza man steamed bun!

Nicely boxed pastry and cakes.

Loved the strawberry roll. Not super sweet and the cake was so moist. I tried the Pizza Bao, which was tasty. I also tried the curry bao, which I really liked. Everything I tried was very good and freshly baked. Their prices were very reasonable. The service was great, asI would definitely go back. The only thing I wish was better more convenient parking. I ended up paying $15 for 20 minutes of parking. I went on a weekend. Street parking was available for those patient to wait for an open spot.

Always pass by here when we visit Little Tokyo, always a long line--but it moves fast! The staff are friendly and quick to help you. There are two registers so that helps. It's tiny inside, just one aisle, smells divine inside like every yummy baked bread and treat! Today we ordered an An Man and Curry Man (buns with red bean paste and chicken/veggie curry, respectively). Piping hot and delicious! A few small tables to sit directly outside the bakery.

This location is very small with limited seating inside. The cheesecake was okay. Nothing special. I would probably not come back as I'd want to try other bakeries with more variety in the area

A quiet little corner in little Tokyo, easily missed if you're not paying attention. One of the best almond croissants I've had and affordable. The young ladies here know how to make coffee and ask questions on how you like it. I like how they know my drink already, iced American with whole milk and vanilla lol Always space on their couch to read and relax.

Great steamed buns. We got the curry man and it was delicious. I also got their iced vanilla strawberry milk drink. That was a huge surprise. Very light with white chocolate flakes. Super delicious and very refreshing. Stumbled on this location (has been opened for 8 months) because the other location across the street had a huge line. So glad we found the is hidden gem. Will be back again very soon!

We specifically planned our trip to Los Angeles' Japantown because of the strawberry cake roll at Yamazaki Bakery I saw on Yelp! and I'm happy to report, the cake did not disappoint; it was so good, it brought back fond childhood memories to my brother-in-law. The shoppe is small, it just had enough space to have a single file of customers line up but it's well worth the short wait because everything in shoppe looks so delectable and freshly made. The staff ate also very nice, patient and helpful. We went back to this shoppe several times during our stay; it was an instant favorite.

We stopped to pick up some niku man (Japanese steamed buns filled with meat) here yesterday morning, & we were pleasantly surprised to find there were quite a variety of options . We purchased the traditional niku (meat) man (pronounced "mān" as in "Manuel" in Spanish or the preposition "on" in English with an M at the beginning), kārě (curry) man & pizza man filled with pepperoni, tomato sauce & corn. All three were really tasty. While the meat & curry buns are more traditional & very tasty, the pizza version was tasty, fun & different. I would definitely recommend all 3. The shokupan (tasty white bread) loaves are always great as well. We will keep shopping here.

I was really excited to try this place but I was a bit disgusted by the worker on 4/23/2023 when she got the bun with no gloves and she sneezed in her hands without washing her hands... I didn't even want to eat this after I bought it cuz I was so disappointed by the cleanliness

Hot Dog, Steamed buns, Mayo Corn Bun.

Delicious! Wonderful experience and extremely helpful service from the workers! I only wish they had cheese and ham croissants with Jalapeños! Would've have bought 3 more croissants but other than that I loved the space!

I love to visit Little Tokyo, there are Japanese foods that I love. Tried this new bakery. Steamed bun and cream cake was very good. Service was satisfying, workers welcomed me with a smile. Answered my questions. And Matcha latte was the best. Not too sweet and perfect creaminess. If anyone needs cold drink. Id definitely visit again whenever I visit Little Tokyo.

A slice of roll cake, two doggy fruit tarts, one pudding.

This is a great asian bakery. I go here for sweets. The desserts are light and tasty. The service here is good. You have to know what you want, because the bakery is small and usually crowded. Everything here is to eat outside or take home.

The lemon loaf slice is huge, I'd say it's the equivalent of two slices, so it's definitely big enough to share. As for the cookies, Levain is known for making them thick and rich. A small piece goes a long way, making them perfect for savoring over a couple of days (if you have that much self-control!). The moment you walk inside, you're greeted by the incredible aroma of freshly baked pastries, and the service was warm and welcoming. I truly think everyone should experience a Levain cookie or pastry at least once. It's worth the visit!

I also tried the pistachio croissant and asparagus danish this time round and both were extremely good as well. I would have no qualms with re-ordering either. The only note is the pistachio cream is pretty runny, so it's hard to cut and share, as the cream just oozes out. The workers there are super friendly and kind. I got a sausage bbang, a chocopie, and a dalgona latte. The sausage bbang was soggy on the bottom and honestly tasted like it was from the day before. The chocopie barely had any filling, just a thin layer of marshmallow and jam. It honestly felt like they used most of the marshmallow for their Dubai choco cookie because it's probably more profitable, instead of properly filling the chocopie. If that's the case, it's better not to sell it at all than serve something like that. The dalgona latte was also disappointing. With ice, the drink only filled to the bottom third line of the cup marking. Clearly, they skimped on the milk. There was also a weird moment when I paid. My total was $15.25 and I paid cash, but I was given $4.75 in change. When I said it should be $5, she seemed confused and asked what I meant. I told her I literally gave you a quarter right now, and she questioned it before eventually giving me the correct change. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and assume it was a mistake. I understand times are hard, but charging more for products that clearly had corners cut doesn't sit right with me. It just comes across like there's no integrity. Clearly the quality and portions are going downhill. I wasn't even planning on writing this review. I was going to stay quiet, but the chocopie really ticked me off.
