Kids pancake--not advertised as Mickey, but a pleasant surprise nonetheless.

This place is an homage to patriotism and the 2nd amendment. We seemed out of place as tourists, as the banter between the sole waitress and the various guests seemed familiar and not small talk--but we were given great service despite the place being full with only one server. The breakfast menu is simple, with your standard fare of eggs, breakfast meats (ham, bacon, sausage), pancakes, American (not French) toast, hash browns, etc. The kids' menu is very reasonably priced. I hate paying $10+ for something my kids will only eat a few bites of plus an extra $3-4 for a drink. Yankee Doodle's kids menu is less than $3 for an egg and slice of toast and less than $6 for the most expensive item (and of course I don't remember what that was). Typical of a greasy spoon/diner, the feel was very laid back and casual. Even if our RV park wasn't across the road, we'll likely come back to Yankee Doodle's Cafe while we're staying in Alpine. We aren't the type to take pics of our food, but the kids loved the Mickey pancake and the red, white, and blue sugar.

The decor is awesome as well!

Service was friendly and quick. Food was good and the prices were really affordable. I haven't been in here in years but I couldn't tell you why. I'll definitely be stopping in more often in the future.

Came here for breakfast and came back to try dinner. Staff are friendly and service is pretty fast. Tried their prime rib dinner. It's ok, not bad but I have had better. I could skip this next time around. The horseradish was really strong so go easy I like horseradish but I don't like it when it makes you teary eyed. Should have stuck with a sandwich or a burger...Next time.

Mary and I stopped in for breakfast. This place has been here a long time and the eclectic decor shows this. We were greeted by friendly staff and seated. Coffee came right out. We shared a special; a giant biscuit topped with chicken fried steak, two fried eggs and country gravy, country potatoes on the side. Delicious!

What a great place to stop while traveling through Alpine, WY. We stopped in for breakfast, food was fresh, well cooked and good quality. Staff was prompt, efficient, friendly. Coffee was brought quickly with a extra pot for refills! The surrounding area is beautiful and if you sit in the right booth or table you'll have a great eyeful!

3 eggs over easy, all the meats, skillet potatoes, whole wheat roast.

Went in for breakfast. The service was good and the food came out hot. The inside was clean and well set up. Just a standard place.

Stopped by for breakfast, the cowgirl with some pancakes were excellent. If we lived local, this would be our spot!

Best dinner experience (delicious dinner, welcoming vibe, excellent service from waiter Tyler and…read morethe entire team) of our entire Grand Teton-area trip was at the Flying Saddle restaurant tonight. The management clearly cares, we were stuffed and happy, and the prices were still fair! Little sampling of what we ordered -- lobster stew (I literally reached in and got an entire claw for the first bite), trout amandine (gorgeous meaty double fillet), braised beef, ribeye steak with crispy onion topper -- all entrees served with plenty of vegetable and potato side. Very well-prepared cocktail according to my husband, too. We felt special, ate special, and will be back tomorrow. We're also staying at the hotel and could not be happier. Thanks all!

We loved learning that the in-door pool opened at 7am. Plenty early enough for us to still get on the road early for a leisurely drive through the Grand Teton in the morning. Our room was nice. Since we are elderly and our room was on the second floor (no elevator) , it was very convenient to have a room close to the stairs. We were amazed that there were no USB ports at all in our room. Who doesn't provide USB ports? The front desk staff were very helpful in providing information on nearby businesses where we could buy USB charging ports for our iPhone charging cables and our portable batteries. We enjoyed all the other amenities in our room. We loved the facilities themselves. The restaurant was outstanding! We were greeted enthusiastically as soon as we crossed the threshold. Our server, Jamie, was superb in every way--her demeanor, her knowledge of the food items, her interest in the fact that this is our "Birthday Road Trip" and her quality service. We are so glad Jamie raved about the Huckleberry lemonade and encouraged us to try it. That lemonade was delicious! The food was outstanding ! The portions were so large, as much as we hated to, we couldn't finish those huge steaks or all of the corn appetizer. The garlic mashed potatoes and garlic beans were delicious. What was especially beautiful about the beans is that they were cooked just right. Jamie served us bread with what she explained is their signature whipped mascarpone cream with honey . It was so very good. We loved being in the restaurant and lingered after our dinner. We loved the ambiance, the service (Jamie helped us celebrate our birthdays), the music playing in the background, the room temperature and the fire burning in the fireplace. It was a wonderful dining experience and we hated to have it end. Looking forward to breakfast in the morning.

I've eaten a lot of Mexican food and this tasted like it was made with care and fresh ingredients. Our party of four included a 5 year old; the server was patient and he checked on us a number of times. I don't always have time to write reviews while on vacation, but when I noticed the low-star reviews it made me want to express the great experience and food I had. Unfortunately, the experience ended before we even had a chance to order. The host, a man who appeared to be in his 30s, greeted us without any welcome or friendliness. He simply pointed us to the two tables near the entrance and told us the restroom was upstairs. Since the restaurant was completely empty, with no customers and very few cars in the parking lot, I politely asked if we could choose a different table. His response was that we could not because he decided where customers sat. The way this was communicated felt dismissive and unwelcoming. As a fellow Mexican, I was especially disappointed by the interaction. I had come hoping to enjoy authentic Mexican hospitality, but instead I left feeling unwelcome. My son even asked me why the gentleman had behaved that way, and I felt it was better for us to leave than begin our meal with that experience. Restaurants in a tourist destination have an opportunity to make visitors feel welcome and appreciated. Good food is important, but genuine hospitality is what people remember. I sincerely hope management takes customer service seriously, because a warm greeting and respectful treatment can make all the difference. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we chose to dine elsewhere.
