My server Jennifer was awesome. I asked about an ALA carte burger patty vs an actual hamburger. I'm on a carnivore diet and only wanted the patty. She told me the patty is $7 vs $15 or so for a burger. The valet sets up at 4 pm or so. I was there for a 1 PM lunch so the lot in the rear had ample parking. The restroom was nice and clean. The self pay machine at the table was handy but the printer was broken and spit out a blank receipt. I had to ask for a reprint which wasn't a big deal. read more

Substitute side with Truffle Fries $2.00 upcharge. Offshoot Relax Beer. $7.99. Total with taxes came to $64.07. Salmon was prepared well. Vegetables were steamed crispy and buttered for taste. My family and i's go to spot! I've been coming here since I was a toddler and I have never had a bad experience. I usually go for the steak bowl but this time I tried the spicy jambalaya! Super good. I ordered it with linguini, no peppers, and no crawfish. Good balance of creamy and spice. The shrimp was cooked very well! Most of the flavor comes from the seasoning on the shrimp. I went here last night with a bigger party around 10 pm, it didn't take long for us to get a table, maybe 10 min tops. We had an amazing server! He was very helpful and patient! Answering many questions about drinks and apps it was clear he knew the whole menu. SHOUTS OUT TO GANNON! He very attentive! He was quick with drink refills, he stays smiling, very humorous! He offered to take some group photos as well! Along with great service, the food was hot and delicious! Just how I like it! Today we held a celebration of life for my dad who recently passed and opted to host it at Yard House - what a great experience! I coordinated with Jason a few weeks prior and he helped me reserve the patio for 40 guests. We were originally asked to do a preset menu for that many folks, which seemed fine at the time, but I wondered if they could give me the option to order group appetizers and allow folks to select food and drinks from the regular menu. I called two weeks out to see if this was possible, expecting resistance, but to my surprise I was easily accommodated. I was also told I could come early to set up if I wanted to. When we walked in today, I was extremely impressed with the set-up. We were given about half of the total space, with groups of tables arranged for easy mingling, and waters already laid out on the tables. As folks started trickling in, I asked our attentive servers to bring out appetizers of their choice - they opted for an array of sliders, nachos, onion rings, chicken tenders, and more - all of which were a big hit. Folks continued to order food and drinks amidst the introductions, mingling and catching up. What surprised me the most was the bill - we had a portion of the event during happy hour, which made the 40 person gathering extremely affordable! When you do check in they will text you just in case you wanted a table. Ambiance: This was right next to the Brea improv so not a whole lot of walking we needed to do. We came in late on a Monday night, and Nelson was super accommodating. We kept moving tables until we found the right one, and we waited on ordering until everyone in the party arrived (which took a while...), but he was very patient. He made great drink selections, allowed us to do some different substitutions, and helped us clean up a little spill we had. A couple items in our order got lost so they came out late, but everything else was spot on. Besides this, the only bad thing is that they started putting the chairs on top of the tables around us. This was hours before they actually closed, but we weren't sure. When we asked, they said that they were closing the patio to new customers, but it totally ruined the environment and made us feel like we needed to leave. If there are still customers in the patio, they shouldn't pack up like it's after hours, because that's just uncomfortable. read more

We went on a Friday night around 7:30 and the restaurant was busy! So we sat at the bar while we waited for our table. We ordered the garlic edamame as an appetizer and a few beers. The service was helpful and attentive despite the restaurant being full, so we appreciate that service did not diminish. The restaurant has a bar vibe but allows for families to enjoy the ambiance. Worst experience ever at a restaurant. I was in the middle of doing their survey on the tabletop tablet/ziosk when our server Drake came by and I asked him for the name of the girl that 1st serviced us with our drink order. He played dumb like he didn't know her name & looked over to see that I was doing the survey and then he reached over and snatched the Ziosk from my hands and exited out of the Survey that I was almost done completing. He violated my personal space & assaulted me by snatching it from my hands. I was in shock & disbelief. I had already paid & tipped for the lousy service and was just trying to fill out the survey as I have every right to do so. His response?? He didn't want to get her in trouble!!! Well Drake, now you just added insult to injury. I will be calling corporate & I will be reporting Drake, Gabby & the supposed manager Shawn who only offered insincere apologies, he even laughed. Dinner at YH with family. We were near the bar so It was loud so conversations was difficult . Started with a very nice house Pilsner before our meal. I had a good jambalaya loaded with shrimp, sausage and crawfish. The sauce flavors bold not too spicy worked well with the jasmine rice. An order of lobster with garlic noodles worked well with the mushrooms. If your a garlic monster like me Ask for it to prepared with extra garlic. Niece had a super tender and gigantic cut bone in rib eye steak. Plate presentation could have been better. Last but not least a huge 5 Stars to our waiter Drake. Great place to come for Happy Hour for drinks and appetizers. During Happy Hour, certain appetizers are half off. The portions of their appetizers are enough for a meal, so it's beyond worth it. FYI: This location doesn't do Happy Hour for appetizers in the evening! I called here to make reservations for a big group a couple of days in advance. I talked to the manager, Jay? and he didn't help at all but just said to walk in early. The service is usually slow during Happy Hour, and it takes a while to get a hold of the waiter. Our waiter Andy was super cool and conversational with everyone at the table. He even let us put a cake in their fridge in the back. I just love coming to a Yard House in Downtown Brea on my day off or after work (if I get off early). It's a great place for some delicious beer or cocktails. Pretty good huh? Most reviews talk about everything except the fact that the service is substandard. To start, the menus were wet with beer and dirty. The plates they brought to use for appetizers were obviously dirty, yet I had to point it out for the waitress to change them. She brought "clean" but wet plates. We got the food, but no silverware; we had to asked for them. Our waitress didn't even notice that we didn't have any. Oh and they brought the wrong order for me. We got here around 6:30-45pm and were told for our party of 8, it would be a 25min wait. 40-50 min later we finally get called even though there were empty tables enough to fit us and did not see anywhere on the site that we could reserve a table. Once we sit down, we have to wait another hour and a half to two hours just to get our food and the waiter didn't write down any of our orders and ended up forgetting a pizza from the table. By the time we got the pizza, all of us were basically done eating. No utensils and napkins were given to us until we had to ask twice by hunting down waiters because every time they would drop something off, they would immediately walk away and not ask us if we needed anything. The food and service here is fantastic. There is valet parking right next to the restaurant, but skip that. There is a parking structure across the street and behind the restaurant that is free, so park there. Unfortunately I forgot the name of our server's name, but he was so friendly and went above and beyond. We came to celebrate our friend's birthday and immediately he offered to put our cake inside the fridge so we can enjoy our meal while keeping the cake fresh. After our meal, he brought out our cake on a plate along with extra plates so we can have dessert. Highly recommend ordering the spicy jambalaya. I never had it before, but it tastes somewhat like seafood boil at Boiling Crab. The waitress was so much fun - I'm writing this review a few weeks late, so I don't remember her name, but I remember she said she's the youngest one on their staff. We had the Parmesan Truffle Fries, the Ahi Tuba Crunchy Salad & the BBQ Chicken salad. Everything was top notch. Yard House has always been a popular staple, with great Happy Hour deals and lots of options of both food and beers! Located in Downtown Brea, Yard House shares a large free parking structure just across the street (around 5ish minute walk) with the rest of the center, in addition to valet parking behind the restaurant. When you walk in, you'll notice the familiar ambiance that's typical of most higher end sport bars. They have plenty of television screens to watch any game on in addition to lots of seating. I ended up sitting out in the patio and I really appreciated how it was still heated and covered so it didn't feel like I was outside. They even had screens out there as well! The servers were all very kind and even though we had such a large group, they did their best to take care of everyone. I also appreciated how at the end, they found the most convenient way for us to split the bill directly on their iPad! In terms of food, I ended up getting their Truffle Cheeseburger with regular fries. Overall it wa a solid burger, although it was very oily and it kind of felt like the cheese overpowered the entire burger with only a subtle hint of truffle. It was a good burger but nothing that amazed me to be honest. I'd still return though and check out how other menu items! Overall, Yard House is a solid staple to check out in the area! Today myself and my hubby went to Yard House in Brea. Hubby ordered Korean Ribeye and a draft beer...I ordered the whiskey glazed salmon with garlic mash potatoes and root vegetables. The Whiskey glazed salmon is for sure a must try also. The food was delicious and the service was good. My only complaint and the reason they didn't receive 5 stars is because we had to fight the GNATS...they were just a true inconvenience. I would eat outside if I want to fight flies. When I'm spending over $100 on a meal I truly do not want to fight Gnats!!
