I was excited they opened this restaurant near my home finally, Since the last time I went to Yard House I loved but loved my meal. I was very disappointed when I noticed their menu was different now. I ordered a chicken tortilla soup, it was definitely not what I was expecting but I was pleasantly surprised and it was the only thing I liked. Also ordered a mushroom pizza and their house cheesesteak sandwich with shaved ribeye meat. The meat was greasy and salty and the sandwich was so plain. The truffle mushroom pizza was greasy too and the bread and crust were so doughy, not all the way done. I was not happy with the service either. Had to wait so long for the waiter, I do not like flagging down waiters but after waiting over 30 minutes I had to flag down another waiter and asked for boxes to go. We stopped by Yard House Eastlake after the Judas Priest concert on Saturday night to relax and enjoy a couple of cocktails. We were served our drinks and had just started sipping them when a girl who worked there, possibly a manager, came behind the bar and loudly announced that everyone had five minutes to finish whatever they had and get out. I was honestly shocked by the way she said it. Her tone was rude, abrupt, and completely inconsiderate. I only had a drink, so it wasn't a huge issue for me personally, but I looked to my left and saw people who had just been served two plates of food and she told them the same thing! It was unbelievable. The way she handled the situation instantly killed the mood for everyone, guests and staff alike. She literally took the smiles off everyone's faces. That's not how you treat paying customers under any circumstances. I wish I had gotten her name, but between trying to finish my drink, use the restroom, and be out the door within five minutes, there wasn't exactly time to ask. Same reason why I have no pictures to go with this review. I will say that our bartender Mauro was nice and professional, too bad that other employee probably ruined his tips because of her actions at close out time. Shameful behavior. I've never been treated so rudely in a restaurant, and I will never go back to this location. I absolutely do not recommend supporting a business that allows its staff to treat customers this way. read more

Since opening, the Yard House seems to be popular and packed at happy hour. We got there around 5:30 pm and were all seated around 6pm. Food was delicious without being salty. We had a group of six. We toasted to health and had a very good time! Service was slow at times because they were so busy. We were able to pay individually. read more

Came in to watch the Padre game and it was packed and definite pro-Padre crowd. We luckily were sat about 20 minutes after arriving. We ordered off the happy hour menu and got a cheese pizza and the Korean flavored boneless chicken wings which were okay and nothing to write home about. The wings actually weren't even warm. Our waitress, Iliana, was fantastic, very nice and attentive (thus the 4 stars). I had one of their Oktoberfest beers and just remember it was the one at the top of the menu. I really enjoyed the new Yard House located at the Otay Ranch mall in Chula Vista. Since it recently opened it's very popular on the weekend especially during football season. My first time at any yard house and my best friend has been to the one in mission valley . As soon as we stepped in from the rain it was really loud in there . Hard to have a conversation with someone . We decided to order happy hour apps so we got the garlic noodles, mushroom pizza, sliders with truffle fries and poke nachos. I would say my rating is a 3.5/5 but that's not an option. To put it short, the food was good, but the service was not. Sure it's only been a couple of days since grand opening, but that doesn't mean customer service should be bad. 1. Shout-out to Ray who was our server. He was polite to us and helped with my friend's cake etc... We have nothing bad to say about him he was great. 2. How does it take almost over 25 minutes for a beer to come out? Our table ordered 5 and 4 came out at the same time and we had to ask 3 times about the last one. Our food came before the last beer after having to ask multiple times. 3. One of my friend's order was wrong so we brought it up to a lady standing near us who was wearing a gray shirt, apron, and had her hair tied up. She gave us passive aggressive attitude when we asked about his food and the missing beer, which honestly caught us off guard. I understand we are a group of young people but that doesn't mean that you speak to us like that. We are customers and adults just like every other person there. So we didn't appreciate that from her, especially when we AS customers were apologizing for asking when it should be the other way around. 4. Lastly, bathroom was unkept. Toilet paper all over the large stall. Lacking soap and paper towel. Not sure if this is a customer or service issue. Would we come back? Sure, to give this place another chance. I've been here a few times and it's consistently a great experience. The service is always friendly and attentive, and the food and drinks never disappoint. My favorite drink is the smoked Old Fashioned, definitely worth trying. They've also been very accommodating.
