If you head out here on a Saturday night, be prepared for a very long wait. At 7pm, we were told it would be a 45 min - 1 hour wait... we ended up waiting much longer than that. And we had kids in our party, kids that are normally in bed by the time we were seated at our long booth. Fortunately, our server was understanding and patiently waited for us to put in our food orders at the same time that she took our drink orders. The organic tomato bisque was yummy creamy, and a decent portion for the +$2.95 price to add it to my turkey burger $10.75, which was verbally described as being similar to a meatloaf. My burger was in fact moist, tasty, messy, good. The fries, slim, crispy. They have a children's menu for those aged 12 and under that has 8 options that include a drink, a choice of sides, and dessert of either an Edy's strawberry bar or a vanilla ice cream with hot fudge. The fried fish arrived 2 pieces to an order, while the chicken strips were 4 flavorful strips to an order. When we left, one of the hostesses thanked us for our patience. That was thoughtful of her. *** 12/2015 *** Terrific truffle fries here! Listed under Snacks for $4.95. *** 12/2017 *** A friend recommended the veggie burger here. The closest thing I could see on the menu was a vegan burger $12.85 (red quinoa, kale, shiitakes, daiya vegan mozzarella, avocado, tomato, arugula, onion, miso, onion bun) so I picked that, upgraded the fries to truffle for a dollar surcharge, and added a side soup (French Onion) for $3.25. Their side salads are impressively sized and sufficient for 2-3 as a side. The simply titled Classic Ranch isn't very simple or classic, as it arrived as a bed of mixed greens, separately topped with carrot, radish, carrots, roasted corn kernels, cheese shreds, and croutons. Corn? That elevates just about any salad in my book! Next to that, my cup of soup looked quite puny. It was a good variation of french onion soup, however. And though too salty for my dad's taste, it was perfectly fine to me. The chowder too was too salty for him. Fried Calamari $11.95 and the Onion Ring Tower $9.45 were both good, and fine for sharing. I liked that tangle of arms in the calamari, as many places omit those for the body rings. I wasn't crazy about my burger - the flavor itself was fine, but there was nothing to bite into. It was all soft mush, which isn't my thing. I also sampled the Mac & Cheese $17.95 large, the Penne with Chicken $17.65 large (mushrooms asparagus, sun-dried tomatoes, marsala cream sauce, parmesan), and the Lobster Garlic Noodles $22.95 (shrimp, crab, lobster, shiitake mushrooms, spinach, parmesan), and preferred the Lobster noodles most though it was rather light on the seafood. The Mac & Cheese was sadly disappointing to the birthday boy. A freebie birthday mini dessert, however, did a lot to raise the mood. We opted for the Mini Peach Apple Cobbler with caramel ice cream ($4.55) which arrived with a coco powdered message which flew a bit when it came time to blow out the candle. If you like fruit drinks with a splash of alcohol for $10.99 this is the place to go. Stale matzo crackers and stale tortilla chips accompanied the spinach dip. I've never seen matzo with dip. If you like avocado toast with just about a teaspoon of avocado again this is the place to go. Sad to say that even Dunkin Donuts has better avocado toast! Would have been nice if the bartender wore her mask on her face instead of below her chin. Won't be back. Definitely not! read more

Solid happy hour menu of half-priced apps! Fellow diner and I worked up a hunger bowling at Kings went for Yard House's happy hour late night half priced apps after 10PM Sun - Thurs. Highly recommend going during happy hour if you want apps. The poke nachos were small, you can get a whole bowl of poke for the original price ($13.75) of those nachos. Even with all the sauces (sweet soy, sriacha aioli, truffle sauce) the chips were still crunchy but there wasn't enough tuna to get a piece per chip. The calamari was great and the sauces were on point. First time I've had such garlicky marinara sauce and I wish more places did this. The carnivore pizza is simply a frozen pepperoni pizza topped with seasoned ground beef and bacon. Soggy but hey, it's pizza. The Korean BBQ boneless wings were very pungent (fish sauce pungent) and came out piping hot fresh. They're obviously not Bonchon quality but I found them rather good with the thick crunchy outside and the juicy tender white meat inside. I ordered a pineapple express cocktail, didn't taste the alcohol but it sure did creep up! Fellow diner got a Guinness. Total of the night was $47 w/tax. Service was sparse but the food and drinks came out quickly since only the bar was packed. Free parking. Clean bathrooms. Great location. Good place for gatherings but don't expect too much from the food or service. read more

Had dinner on 3/4/23 around 5pm. Was very busy and seated within 5 minutes. Waiter, Andres, was very attentive and made some great recommendations. I got a chicken avocado sandwich with fries which was delicious albeit the bottom roll was a bit soggy, no big deal. My husband got the Korean rib eye which came with chili garlic fries. He said it was cooked to perfection and enjoyed. We had a few beers; very extensive variety of beers to choose from. It did take a while for food to arrive to table, but when it did, it was hot. I love this place! I've been here a few times over the last few years and there are a few dishes that I always order. First off, the Yard house is in an excellent location. Legacy place is always full of people and has a lot of other great restaurants/stores. My 1st stop is usually the Legal C bar for a drink or two before dinner. The first time I came here I had an AMAZING waiter. I always think of him every time I come back. Unfortunately he's gone, but I've always had good/great service. I've always ordered the same food here, it's been hard to try new things because I love my regular order so much. For an app--the cobb salad is presented beautifully, and the avocado is plentiful and fresh. Then for the entree, the St. Louis ribs are amazing. The meat is soft and falls right off the bones, so ridiculously delicious. The sides are also amazing. I had never eaten creamed corn (never sounded appetizing) until I came here, and it's so tasty, I wish I could eat it all the time. The ribs also come with beans, and I like all beans, so that's great too. Finally, the mini chocolate souffle..words cannot describe how perfect this tiny little dessert tastes. If you like beer, this place is for you. If you are Ike me and don't drink beer, this restaurant has a full bar with a large selection of cocktails and wines. The dining area is big and surrounds a nice size bar with plenty of seating space to accommodate the crowd. The food was good, but the ranch dressing is pretty weak and the portions are a bit small compared to the cost. The food was good and they have a large variety of items, so if you have picky eaters chances are you can find something for everyone in your party. I would say it's an up scale sports bar, somewhere that you can feel comfortable dressing casual or being a bit more dressed up. We were waiting for so long even though place was pretty empty. The outside tables were so dirty and they didn't have a blanket in case if someone will be cold( I got cold while I was waiting honestly). We made reservations 4 days before for a big surprise birthday party 20 or so family members. The messed up the surprise by not seating us in time for the birthday guy. They seated us 2 minutes before the birthday guy arrived, so his surprise was blown. We kept on asking them when his arrival time was getting closer and closer and still we sat. They kept on saying is the whole party here. No just everyone else but the birthday guy, his children, and mom. The food was okay but we spend well over $500 and if not for our two waitresses Julia and Julia who turned The Whole ordeal around this party would have bombed. I really like this restaurant. They have a huge selection of beer which I like because I enjoy trying different kinds. I had been to drink here a few times but I recently went for the food. You have to try the fried Mac n cheese. It's like a stick of Mac n cheese, fried, and then stacked on top of each other. They are really filling. It comes with two dipping sauces - tomato soup and a cheese sauce. I got the the California Reuben for my meal and that was great too. The sandwich was stuffed full of meat, cheese, avocado, jalapeños, and thousand island dressing. The only thing I could complain about is the wait after we ordered things. It took a long time to get our drinks. The service could have been better but I still had a good experience. It does get very busy on weekends. Location is always well staffed with capable and qualified help. It's usually a pleasure eating here and they are very accommodating to large and small groups alike. This was my second time coming here, the first time we just went for drinks. My husband showed his green card as proof of ID and they said it wasn't accepted there. Not too surprising since we are s close to Boston but a few minutes later our waiter served him his drink. The experience was weird and confusing. We went again and had dinner this time. We waited longer than at most places for our drinks and food but the service was a lot better this time. I had the Mac n cheese, my husband had the chicken and rice bowl, and my friends let us have some of their fried Mac n cheese. The fried Mac n cheese was really good, loved the tomato soup dip they served with it. My husband's rice bowl was delicious as well! My Mac n cheese was good. However, I did get a pretty bad stomach ache later...I think the dish was just too rich for me. The beer menu is larger than the food menu, which is cool but still nothing really stood out to me. I ordered a pomegranate Marg and it was really yummy..not too sweet! It is a little bit on the pricier side here but that is expected for the location. Something happened here,the service is MUCH better. We've been coming to Dedham since it opened and the service has been - meh. Tonight we sat at the bar and the service was really good. They were attentive, like leaning in towards you, and chatting you up. We got recommendations for dinner and beers. Our reaction was - what what what??? And it wasn't just one server or just once. Nice casual hang out over at Legacy Place. This is a really good sports bar and screens everywhere. The food is an upgraded version of typical bar food. 3/6/20 - Decided to eat at Yard House Friday. They don't have reservations the day you plan to eat. What they do have is call a head dining. Picked up my cousin at 7:30p. I figured it will take 1/2 hr to get there, so we'll eat soon after getting there. NOPE! We arrived at 8:05p. I guess everyone called ahead because the four of us were told that we had to wait 35 minutes. After 37 minutes, i checked it. NOPE! We were told that we had to wait 20 more minutes. About 10 minutes into that wait, our buzzer went off indicating our table was ready. So we thought. NOPE! "Sorry, that was a mistake, you'll have to wait a few more minutes". I came back to tell my group. The fellas took off towards the front desk. I heard "Nicci, there seating us Now". I don't know what they said, but there was an older women that seem to know what she was doing. Finally we are seated. After almost 2 hours really. The waitress came with water in a decent time. She was very polite. The atmosphere at Yard House is comfortable and fun. The portions are big. The prices are fair. And the food each time I've gone is good. Would I eat here again? Dined in for a late night dinner after work. This is my second time coming to the Dedham location and nothing has changed at all. FOOD: I ordered the BBQ Bacon Cheddar Burger. The place wasn't busy whatsoever but the burger still took forever to arrive. Like I mentioned previously, this is my second time at the Dedham location and was disappointed. As I'm patiently waiting for my food to arrive, I started to think that this burger may actually be delicious because all good things takes time correct? Wrong. When the burger finally arrived, it was the most disappointing plate ever. Seriously. You would think waiting for so long, you'd get this massive burger but no, you get this patty between two buns with bacon and cheese; a side of mediocre fries. SERVICE: I didn't get the servers name, nor did she introduce herself. Anyways, service was okay. She checked up on us twice, asked us how were doing and if we needed any sauces. Standard service. But what got me triggered was that she didn't inform us about the tablet on the table. After our meal, we wanted to pay for the tab. We didn't know we could pay for the bill on the tablet. Our last time we were here, the tablet wasn't there. We assumed the tablet was only for playing games. Drinks were delivered by any serving walking by the bar service area which was a delight, we weren't waiting for our server on such a busy evening. Marissa D was very attentive, answered any questions we had, helped us split our bill, and use the 'pay-at-table' device that wasn't cooperating lol. I tried 4 different tacos and enjoyed them all. Very disappointing experience at Yard House in Dedham. Service was slow to almost nonexistent despite the fact the house was barely half-full. Waited forever for drinks and then more than forever for our food. When it came, the portions were very stingy. The fish in my fish tacos was microscopic, if there at all. And a simple French dip sandwich that was supposed to be accompanied by fries wasn't accompanied by anything, so we had to ask for them. And the food itself was unremarkable to the point of mediocre. So we come here often and really enjoy the food every time we come. I think the only thing that they could improve on is their timing between being seated and meeting your waiter/waitress. We came in on a Monday night (not busy like their weekends) and were seated soon as we walked in but it was 12 minutes before we were greeted by our waitress. The clam chowder was fantastic. It's not heavy and thick like your usual chowder but I think I like it this way much better. The queso dip with added bacon chorizo was cheesy deliciousness, it has a bit of a spicy kick, but an enjoyable one and not overly spicy, you have got to try it (thank me later). For dinner we tried the spicy jambalaya, not too spicy but just right! Side note: I was trying to save half for later and even asked for a container, but by the time the box to pack it to go came I had already finished the rest. (Box came back less than 2 minutes later) I just couldn't resist! I'm so sad now lol. The vampire taco was better than I got it the last time! If you like the little burnt edges on a pizza crust like I do then order your taco vampire style, the crusty cheese shell taste just like it. read more

And when we asked our waiter for straws with our drinks she told us there was no straws left, but after we asked that we continued to see her pass out straws. And the wifi is so horrible I can't send my mom an SOS message that I am hungry. This food is good but the service isn't it. Last night we decided to eat in and to keep it on the cheap I wanted a salad, so it was happy hour we got lettuce wraps at 50% off and then we split a ribeye steak that was cooked to perfection. Came with broccolini and spinach mashed potatoes and then of course my trick for for dessert is a cup of coffee with a side of whip cream and cinnamon . I did ask about birthday specials they said they do something for dessert with a candle they don't sing so no embarrassments. food consistently good I was impressed. I have heard of the @yardhouse in Dedham from a few friends, I finally went and it was not a bad experience. We told our waitress Crista that it was our first time there and she took the time to explain and she was great at checking on everything. Now for the food The spicy Jambalaya suggested by our waitress was Amazing and The sauce was very flavorful. It was very good food, I was impressed by the Beer and wine list. Would definitely recommend it for a quick Delicious bar food and other interesting dishes like the Spicy Jambalaya which is by far the best thing on the menu. read more
