Typical Yard House experience, which is to say, good times. Always lots of happy people looking to get hydrated and enjoy some tasty morsels, ourselves included. We came here before a concert at FivePoint around 5:30 and put ourselves on the wait list, which utilizes a convenient text system. We found two seats at the bar, so decided to forgo the 15-minute wait. We got served by Stacie, who was a breath of fresh air. After getting her name, she asked my wife and I for our names. She continued to refer to us by first name for the rest of our visit. Aside from being attentive to our needs, Stacie was generally ON IT in every aspect. If you like beer, the Yard House has you covered, so many delicious choices! They have a decent Happy Hour, running between 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, you will find various appetizers from $5-$8 and discounted drinks, something like $1.00 off all beers. We devoured two appetizers, which were both very good. The boneless chicken wings (half buffalo style, and half lemon pepper), and the LOADED chicken nachos, which were covered with goodness and a huge portion! I went here with a group of 9 for a casual bday dinner. I know yard house offers gluten free offerings and four of us met this need. There were some negatives and positives after this experience. Pros: Able to get seated within 20 minutes at about 8pm on Sat night without a reservation. This restaurant was an impromptu choice so it was nice to get seated quickly. Our waitress was nice and did what she could to make this a good experience. While not super informed about allergy ingredients, she did a great job at rectifying meal offerings and mess ups from the kitchen, in addition to, refilling our beverages. As mentioned they do have a good variety of gf and other options.The chicken nachos were yummy. We asked for cheese on side ... when they came they explained could not be done that way, but did bring extra plain chips. Most dishes were pretty decent. Cons: Lots of kitchen errors. My friend asked if sweet potatoe fries were battered or just fried in cross contamination. First advised not battered. Realized they were when we got them - waitress quickly subbed out for plain fries and apologized. All good. Two of bacon bbq burgers came with zero sauce. Sides of sauce brought. My gf chicken avocado sandwich came sauced and cheesed when I had asked for both to be removed. Waitress reconciled. Initally most plates on the table (new) were extremely filthy. Discusting actually..but were swapped out. Bathrooms were nasty. We ordered a variety of food and most everyone enjoyed flavors. Portions were nice and overall decent experience given how busy it was. I will note we didn't like the fact that the waitress stood over you with tablet as you paid. I think tips are a confidential thing and it put awkward pressure on us given she was watching. US has a terrible tip culture. While we always tip generously, it is an option and shouldnt feel like a pressure situation. My bday was not remembered until after we were leaving. No biggy - cant eat regular desserts anyway. She remembered and apologized and offered a free dessert to go. I declined although it was a nice gesture. She did a good job overall. read more

What an awesome experience I had at the Yard House tonight. My last time I went there in 2018 and it was really good, and I missed going back there 7 years later it was even better. Our server Connor was very kind, and helpful, and gave us awesome recommendations for our favorite things, so that we can choose our choices for dinner tonight. The Cheese Curds were tasty, and had a really good flavor to them and they tasted fresh from the fryer. The Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich is delicious and massive, it's really tender got a good flavor to it, and it tastes really good quality Chicken. I would highly recommend everyone to go to the Yard House, because you will not be disappointed. read more

Yard House was our choice for our after work happy hour hang out and I honestly wasn't expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised that they have happy hour throughout the entire restaurant and not just the bar area! On top of that the food was pretty good! Much better than I was anticipating. The chicken tenders were actually tender since they didn't taste like those frozen ones other places serve. The poke nachos were really good! Their fries are perfectly cooked! As a big fan of Yard House, I have yet to visit one I don't absolutely love--and the Yard House at the Irvine Spectrum is no exception! I hadn't been here in over ten years, and wow, it's still as amazing and beautiful as ever. The location is super convenient, right next to a parking lot, making it easy to get in and out. Their happy hour is a must, and I especially enjoyed the Oktoberfest menu--great flavors and festive vibes. One thing I really appreciate is their fantastic selection of non-alcoholic beers, which is a huge plus for those who prefer alcohol-free options. All in all, this place is a gem. I've always been a fan of Yardhouse despite not liking beer. It had been about a year since my last visit, and my husband was in the mood for some nachos (because who doesn't love carbs!) so we decided to visit. We arrived around 9:45pm and it was easy to get bar seating. Bartender came up and we ordered drinks, nachos, and truffles fries. Drinks came out quickly and truffles followed about 7 minutes later, 20 minutes pass and no nachos. When I asked the bartender about the them, she claimed that we did not order them. However, she repeated all 4 items when we first placed our order. Like girl, just say you forgot that we had ordered the dang nachos!! She did say she would put in the order and comp them, but we were ready to just head home so we declined. It's been a long time since I have been here. It was conveniently located on the way back to the parking garage after seeing a movie. It was a Saturday and so naturally it was loud and the beers were flowing. We ordered the nachos and garlic noodles. The Nachos could have been, skipped. They were soggy and so typically presented. The Garlic noodles on the other hand were shockingly delicious. If you like garlic then it won't disappoint. The seafood was a perfect blend with the noodles and i didn't feel like they skimped on it. I would love to get this again. The pretzel was not bad but I really didn't care for the cheese sauce it came with. I will say I love the beer selection so It makes up for the food here. Yard House is always our last resort if all the other restaurants at Spectrum are not crowded. At times, there is a wait but for the most part I have never had to wait no longer than 30mins. The only complaint I have are when walking to the restrooms the floors can be slippery especially if you are wearing heels or maybe had a little too much to drink. Came back at 7:40 and checked with both, host and hostess. We were then told it would be another 30 - 35 mins. Are you kidding me? If you would have told us it would be an hour wait then, we would have left and gone somewhere else. We walked around the bar area and found 2 seats open this time. Sat down and ordered a drink. After a while, we decided to go ahead and order dinner. As soon as we did that, we got a text saying our table was ready. We ended up being tucked in the far corner, behind a pillar. I got the bbq chicken salad and hubby had the cheesesteak ribeye sandwich with sweet potatoes fries. We finally got foods at around 8:15 but no silverware provided. I had to go around to find the server. The ribeye steak was super tender. Flavor was great and my husband loved it. I ordered the large salad and it was huge. But mostly greens and it only came with 5 pieces of chicken. The chicken breast meat was good and not dry at all. But I wouldn't order a large again. Wish they put the dressing on the side. It was all mixed in so salad was kind of soggy. Food is always good here. Everything happens for a reason. Thought I'd go in for a quick beer on a dead Thursday afternoon. Got seated in the completely empty patio area but didn't see a server for 15 minutes. Pathetic service, nonetheless we got up and left, ended up walking towards the restaurants by the movie theatre and weren't disappointed. Found a spot with 10/10 beers, 10/10 food, 10/10 service. We really dodged a bullet, and imagine, we would've waited for Yard House's reheated frozen food but we didn't. Luckily we ended up having the best experience else where. Do yourself a favor and NEVER come to this excuse of a restaurant. If they can't handle a party of 2 in a nearly empty establishment, imagine how bad it is when there are actually people there when it's busy. Never coming back here even if my life depended on it. Ambled over to Yard House after watching the Barbie movie still slightly buzzing from the Blue Moon Belgian white I had with the film. The huge entryway was crammed with people when we arrived. I didn't realize this place was so hopping! After about a 5 minute wait, our table was ready to go. Serendipitously, it was still Happy Hour so we decided to take advantage of the specials and order a bunch of apps and drinks. David our waiter was super patient and helpful guiding us through the list of beers available on draft. I ended up trying a cream ale that I had never heard of before and it was delicious! Excellent job, David! We ordered the fried cheese curds, calamari, veggie chicken"wings", and the poke nachos. When they quickly arrived, we realized we had ordered a completely fried meal but the beers helped cut through the richness. The cheese curds were tasty but mainly came in very small pieces so it resulted in eating more breading than I wanted. Hot cheese is always a yes but I wish the pieces were bigger to really enjoy that texture. It came with a sweet, slightly spicy chili sauce and a creamy horseradish. David also brought some extra ranch that was also perfect to dip into. The poke nachos were the best dish of the night. Tuna poke with chunks of avocado and seaweed with a tangy and creamy sweet sauce, with scatterings of sesame seeds and chopped scallions, it was delicious. Served on fried wonton skins, the bite was crispy instead of stodgy like thick corn tortilla chips can sometimes be. A little salty overall but nothing a swig of beer couldn't cure. The calamari was a pleasant surprise. The cook was well handled, tender and not rubbery at all. I was pleased to see the tentacles in the mix, not just the ringed body section. It came with a chunky tartar sauce and a textured sambal olek type chili sauce I originally thought was the standard marinara. The veggie chicken wings were probably the weakest dish IMO with a heavy processed soy taste even the sauce it comes tossed in couldn't cover but it is probably a frozen product they buy to offer to vegan tastes so it is what it is. The celery sticks they serve it with was the best part. So the restaurant is huge. Intricate industrial pipe network delivering drafts make the bar area almost seem like a huge church organ. It was pretty well filled on Friday night and David the waiter mentioned weekends are when they really get busy. So come down to Yard House for a great, hopping happy hour. There were interesting things on the menu but we were pretty full from all the apps and beer to order more. We'll be back! read more

Not really much to say, who hasn't been to a Yard House before? I was in a very rare mood to eat something not Asian for once. More specifically, I was craving sliders and garlic fries from Yard House. My fiancee was even willing to drive to the Irvine Spectrum location to take advantage of this rare opportunity. Well, mostly due to the fact that the Spectrum location seemed to be the only one that still offers late night happy hour (10 PM 'til close). We ordered our usual happy hour favorites: sliders and chicken nachos. This time we decided to give their pizza a try as well. The sliders are very basic and simple. I don't mean this in a bad way though. It's like a perfect simple little cheeseburger. The fries were a little bit of a letdown. I prefer the shoestring fries that they used to offer (at least they did at the Brea location). Not really a fan of the thicker cut fries. They're a little too starchy and "dry" if that makes sense. It's just a preference thing. We also decided to try their margherita pizza for the first time. It was pretty bad, not gonna lie. The crust was like cardboard. Hard, crumbly, dry, slightly burnt. Maybe if they pitched it as a "flatbread" pizza instead it might be passable, but either way, it was not good. Overall, just a typical Yard House experience. Dependable spot for happy hour, booze, and solid food. However, I really like the fact that this location offers late night happy hour. And the good news is that their happy hour portions are the same as regular! Also shout out to my boi Sal for the excellent service last night. read more

I feel like Yard House has really upped their game lately! Or it's just been a while since my last visit. We were here for a work event and shared several apps and small bites. Everything I had exceeded my expectations. The sliders were perfectly portioned and came on these super soft, buttery rolls. The patty was well-seasoned, thick, and juicy and was topped with a cute slice of American cheese. The fries were extra crispy and seasoned well. These had a thickness that was somewhere in between an Islands fry and a Red Robin fry--just the way I like it. I honestly thought the bbq chicken pizza would be my fave--it was really good with tons of chicken and grilled onions-- but the star of the night had to be the margherita pizza!! Not only did it have the staples - tomato, basil, mozzarella- but they also tucked pieces of sun-dried tomato in there which packed an extra tomato punch. The meat lovers' pizza was solid too. Lastly, -- and this was the dish that sold it for me -- the roasted Brussel sprouts were out of this world. It was like a caramelized version of balsamic sprouts--soo epic. I could eat that all day. You always know what you're getting with Yard House - good beer, consistently good food, and good service. I got the Grilled Chicken and Avocado Sandwich and upgraded my fries to Parmesan Truffle. To drink, I got the Brewery X Slap and Tickle IPA. The sandwich was good - something (a bit) on the healthier side that paired well with a beer. The fries were great too - crispy and flavorful. Our server was VERY attentive, coming by every few minutes to check on us, which was much appreciated. We came here for dinner and a drink before a show at the Irvine Improv and it was perfect! However, the long wait time ended up carrying over to every aspect of our visit: ordering, receiving drinks and food which ended up with us spending a whopping 3 hours here! It felt like they were playing Diner Dash; you know when the customer satisfaction goes down little by little from happy face to meh face then sad face and angry face, then you feed them a bit of something and it increases then drops again because added wait time, this was just like that. Lmao Once we were seated, we ordered drinks to start. Now the horrendous wait time begins. I knew they were busy but it took 20 minutes to get our drinks! Okay, whatever. It made us happy for a bit and we had fun chatting among ourselves. At the time we got our drinks, we also ordered food; it took less than 5 minutes to get that placed. Here we go again! 25 minutes passed...35 minutes passed. No food in sight. We were starting to notice that a lot of other tables were also sitting around waiting tirelessly for theirs...even the smaller parties with 2-3 people! Jeez! They were super backed up! Servers looked so stressed. We were getting so hungry but we couldn't just leave. At the 45 minutes mark, we saw our server on speed mode coming with 2 dishes. Woo! Finally, it's happening. Oh my goodness...this was the cherry on top: some of the orders were wrong! A few group members received different sides than ones ordered and a wrong entrée. The server was apologetic and said he would get that re-made. We were literally starving so we just said oh no, we'll just keep this. It's fine. We can't wait anymore! Imagine waiting another 20 minutes. Please, no. The food was good and we enjoyed our dishes, that was the relieving part. However, having waited so long to eat, we kind of lost our appetite and was getting super tired. It was 10:30pm! We finished up at 11pm and couldn't ask for the check fast enough. Pretty much all appetizers are 50% off during happy hour, so we decided not to get much from there. We ended up ordering a couple plates to share. This included Chicken Nachos, BBQ Chicken Pizza, Mac and Cheese, and the Kurobuta Pork Burger. Everything came out all at once. It was pretty fast, about 15 minutes. The Chicken Nachos are huge. The perfect, shareable appetizer. All the chips were coated with cheese, beans, and tomatoes. Plenty of guac, sour cream, and jalapeños. The BBQ Chicken Pizza is like any old BBQ Chicken Pizza. 8 slices for $16. Nothing special. A definite skip. It's basically is California Pizza Chicken, or, at least, it reminds me the CPK pizzas of my childhood. Nostalgic, but not worth the price. I was kind of confused with the sizing for the Mac and Cheese. Our server gestured with his hands how big the large portion was compared to the regular one and it didn't really clarify anything. We ordered the larger one, and the portion was decent, but that's because we had a lot of food to share. The regular size must be even smaller. That being said, it's a great dish! Really took it to the next level with not just bacon, but chicken, truffle oil, and an assortment of mushrooms. This is what we're paying for! Also love the nice panic crust and pasta shape. Texture is 10/10. The burger itself was very yummy. The pork is juicy, the bun is crisp and not soggy, and the arugula adds a nice texture. I recommend ordering the Kurobuta Pork because it's different. It has blueberry ketchup, an intriguing ingredient, which elevated the burger, combining sweet and salty. Personally didn't enjoy the bacon, it was salty. Also, we upgraded the fries that came with the burger to Parmesan Truffle fries for $2. This upgrade was unnecessary. There was very little added flavor to the fries. Might as well have been plain. A lot of indoor seating available: tables, high tables, bar seating, and booths. There's outdoor seating too. Bathrooms are clean. But this is not the place to go unless you go for happy hour. Definitely worth it then. read more
