Beans from a can rice from a microwave bag basically! Wait... and $8 each taco!!!!! I have never in my life heard of such thing, tiny shrimp probably from a frozen bag. I'm ok paying for an overpriced meal if it were delicious and satisfying. I'm sorry I have to say I will not go back ever. Just trying to figure out how my meal/drink and kids meal came to $65 lol I've been to some decent restaurants and paid maybe the same or less but with more portion more to offer and satisfying meals of course. The two stars is for the quality of our food. Our food was amazing. But I have never had that terrible of service in life. We initially let things slide because we figured our server had a long day or was new here. We had a child in our party, and when it came to ordering his food she was very rude. We've been to many Yard Houses including this one and we asked for a kids Mac and cheese, which they didn't have, so she proceeded to suggest an adult loaded Mac and cheese, minus everything in it. $16 for a Mac and cheese minus the bacon, chicken, and truffle. We said it's fine. Four of us ordered some type of burger with fries. We asked for ketchup and ranch initially. She brought back one ketchup. When I asked if we could get 3 more, and two more ranches, she looked at me and said "Do you actually really need that?" I told her we all had burgers and fries and we would like that. She then continued to argue with me on how to split that small ramekin of ketchup among us four. I just stared at her and said nothing because I was so shocked. If you go to McDonalds, you can ask for any amount of ketchup and they will happily give it you. But for some reason she wouldn't bring it. After I told her it just wasn't enough and we needed more, she brought it 10 minutes later. She was very very slow. I took note of how quick every other server was and how on top of it they were. She brought out one of the drinks after the food arrived, despite it just being a water and reminding her of it. When we finished eating she asked us to clear out our table and stack up our plates for her to make it easier, which she actually never picked up in front of us. When it came to the bill I was paying cash, I figured they would still bring out the booklet tab because she mentioned she would bring the bill. She didn't, and she said to use the little machine despite mentioning I would pay cash. I left a $100 on the table and she walked past it, hastily said "That's it?" Pocketed the money and walked off. No receipt, no thank you, no good bye, no change, nothing. I spoke to the manager. He said he would talk to her and that he was sorry. He failed to compensate, he failed to do anything as a manger to be honest to make his guests feel even a little better about the situation. We go to this location and Newport all the time, I have never ever ever seen service like this. read more

Better than most places in the Irvine Spectrum because of its large seating area and consistent menu items. The Cheesecake factory chain has gone to hell in a handbasket so we decided to come to Yard House instead. Our first impression unfortunately was a fail because about 10 staffers were milling around the check-in station yet nobody seemed interested in getting us a table. We had to initiate the process but service from that point on was great. We were here for their food not for their twin beer towers. Even so, I was hoping to get a sour to drink. Despite offering so many beer options they only offered one sour.. A bit disappointed in only have one option but my selection was good. Food was on par with other locations, and both the roast turkey club and the chicken bowl (with noodles not rice) were very satisfying. This review is strictly for the happy hour I have been coming here for years sometimes for afternoon drink or for dinner however, in the past couple weeks, we came here couple times for the happy hour and I was really impressed with the quality of food, the value for the $ and overall experience. Now this place has become my favorite go to for afternoon drinks and lunch dinner. Tonight we celebrate my birthday at this location, i wanted it to be simple despite we made a last minute decision to drive from LA to irvine spectrum. We sign in for wait list and got checked in after 45mins. Our server kaetlyn was nice the whole time and sweet to greet me happy birthday as we leave. We ordered parm truffle fries and calamari for the appetizers the fries was nicely seasoned and so as the calamari, there's a few squid that's tough to chew (2-4 squid) but the rest is excellent. Our main dish was bbq bacon burger medium well it was well prepared and juicy We also ordered 20oz rib eye steak with bone in medium well but when i got my steak it was a little tough as i can see it was well done. I ask kaetlyn if she could ask the kitchen to make it medium as it dry and im so glad she did and very polite. They gave me a new plate of steak and it was excellent. Also i want to thank and appreciate the manager on duty tonight for personally coming to our table and talking to my husband while i was in the wash room to waived the fee for the steak. I wish I could've thank him personally or catch his name. We also got a free birthday chocolate cake which my daughter enjoyed. All in all the simple birthday experience at yard house was great. Read the reviews for the lettuce wraps last night while at the table and noticed that some people had said they had gotten food poisoning or something from them. I decided to give it a try anyways thinking it was something else these people ate. Let me just tell you I was 100% wrong, I have full on food poisoning (as I type from my bathroom). Would recommend the company seriously looks into why this is happening to multiple people with the same dish, very concerning. read more

This was my first time to a Yard House establishment. They have a wide variety of menu items, and from what I can tell more than 80 beers on tap. We first ordered the guac and chips. The guac was not very good so we had them replace it with the queso. it was definitely a great decision as it was incredible, and had some good spice to it. I also had the jambalaya which I enjoyed immensely. There were a couple issues that happened while we were there. But like a good establishment, should, the manager Carlos handled it very professionally, and made us feel like our business was something that he valued. The server I want to say her name was Mindy, if I am incorrect, I apologize. She also was very professional and did a great job. I love this place. Their Happy Hours are what I live for. AMBIANCE // This location is enormous. Located in the Irvine Spectrum, many of their customers are people who are relaxing after a long day of shopping. It is quite loud and busy in here but I prefer that over super quiet places. You can just tell everyone is having a good time in here. There are always folks in big groups just hanging out with friends. My friends and I love coming here to catch up over Happy Hour. FOOD & DRINKS // I rarely come here for their entrees/non-Happy Hour related dishes so I can't speak to that. However, their Happy Hour dishes are off the chart. My favorites are the calamari, spinach​ and artichoke​ dip, onion rings, mushroom lettuce wraps, poke nachos, and (sometimes) mushroom and pepperoni pizza. For drinks, I get a gin & tonic or a beer. Went for a quick bite with a friend ended up taking almost two hours for the lack of attention from our bartender Andrew. He made absolutely sure his "locals" were served first while we waited patiently after we told him we wanted to order food, took him 30 minutes to acknowledge us. the food is so good here, my husband and i have came twice in the past two weeks. both times we've been treated with good customer service and delicious food. the first time we came here i got the whiskey glazed salmon which is absolutely a 5/5, the flavor is really there with that whiskey sauce! the mashed potatoes were surprisingly really good here as well as the veggies. my husband got the classic cheeseburger which he described it as "the best burger i've ever had" he loved that they gave him the option of how he wanted the meat.. which he chose medium well. the second time we came here i decided to try the classic cheeseburger as well which was oh soooo sooo good!! highly recommend the burger from here with the side of sweet potato fries. will continue to come here every time we are at the spectrum. :-) read more

Wasn't the greatest experience regarding the food selection. I ordered the whiskey salmon, which was not fully cooked. The carrots were very hard, almost raw. The broccolini was hard to cut and chew. The onion rings were great. I did send it back for the salmon and carrots to cook more, which was better the second time, but the mashed potatoes were cold. Aylin was great serving us. read more

I have been here four times in the last six weeks. Beer selection is great. Service is good. Food is mediocre. The hostesses are incompetent and rude. Don't put people with a stroller in a circular booth. It blocks the only way out from the booth. When someone asks for the TVs, put them in view of the TVs. The new General Manager is an outright mess of a customer service experience. Me and a friend used to order three beers at once to taste. Now the rule is one beer per person at a time. So the management and the people in charge of seating are crap, but the beer selection is good. Also multiple taps are out, worry about that GM. read more

My son and his girlfriend went to Yard House Irvine Spectrum tonight for a nice little dinner after some shopping, spending their hard earned money as summer interns. After dinner, sticky hands got ahold of a bag that was left behind and Vee the server serving them on the evening of July 10 returned the bag but the Lulu lemon merch was missing!!!. I'm so thoroughly disappointed in this. "Someone" took the Lulu bag which was in another bag to the back of the house instead of handing it over to the host/hostess. My sons girlfriend left it behind by accident then went back to get it only to find that the Lulu lemon bag had been taken out when Vee returned the outer bag. This is so disheartening. To take something that doesn't belong to one is one thing but from young people who work so hard for their money is just down right unconscionable. It hurts to see her so sad about this. Such a bummer. To boot, the Yard House manger and Vee didn't even try to make good for her. Disappointing because I really like their Poké nachos. I guess now I'll just have to order them from Sushi On Fire in Hunt Bch. They're an off menu item and delicious!!! Hope that helps read more

The manager mel was absolutely horrible. We had a larger group and a couple of us were running late for a friend's birthday. They gave away part of our table which we accepted. As a table near us opened we asked one of the gentleman working if it was possible to shift one over to accommodate our group of 11 that was seated at a table for 8. He kindly moved the table over and we proceeded to order food and drinks. Shortly into our meal mel approached our table and said "next time you need to ask to move a table" we rereplied letting her know we did ask and she basically accused us of lying and said we didn't. My friend apologized but proceeded to let her know we did indeed ask and she rudely replied saying no we didn't. We were with a group for a birthday and she embarrassed our table treating us as if we were less then anyone around us. Great front staff. Chaz and Holly also great waiters. Had to take off two stars because I noticed the kitchen staff preparing the food without gloves, using their bare hands to touch all of the food. Came here with my friend for lunch. We sat at table 102, Dallas was our server, everything was going okay until I was still eating, she came and said "are you guys ready to check out?" it's kind of common sense that no we are not ready considering I am still chewing my food and my burger was literally still in my hand. In my head I was thinking "you're not serious right now". My friend and I took it as a hint hint wrap it up and go. She proceeds to ask if we were paying with cash or card. I said card my friend said cash. Again, common sense, I'll pay my part on the Ziosk and my friend will pay her the remaining in cash. She asked again cash or card and we said the same thing. She looked as if I was such an inconvenience to her. I ended up finishing my food after we had paid and left. Great experience last night at thee Yard House! After a friend and I were turned away from Javier's for a ridiculous hour wait at 9 o'clock at night (not to mention 1/2 of their restaurant seemed torn apart due to construction) we decided to grab a bite at the yard house. This place has been a the Spectrum for at least a couple of decades- wow! It was great because we got seated right away and we ended up having an awesome server and late dinner. My friend had some strict dietary restrictions and had to check with ingredients on some of the items. They were so nice to find out specific ingredients and were very thorough. The food is actually great quality with clean ingredients. Ambiance was fun. They even had a self-pay feature on the table that was very easy to use. The Yard House is really growing on me. I recently stopped in and I started with the Poke Nachos. I actually started with a glass of rosé, but whatever. The nachos were so good!! The poke was very high quality and plentiful. It was dotted with perfectly ripe avocado, scallions, nori strips and sesame seeds. What puts it over the top is the well-balanced blend of drizzles that include a sweet ginger soy, sriracha aïoli and white truffle sauce. Yum! The crispy wontons are perfectly light as well. Then, I had the Mini Cheesecake Brûlée...sooo good! And I love that it's too small to feel guilty but big enough to feel awesome! I stopped in today for just a glass of wine and one bartender, Daniel, remembered me and he was super knowledgeable and informative when I was here earlier in the week. The other ones were very attentive and friendly. Finally, I appreciate that there are multiple TV screens with multiple sports that you can see from EVERY seat in the house. All I can say is DAVID IS AMAZING. The best server I've ever had, hands down. He was on top of absolutely everything and never skipped a beat. We had a party of 9 and he didn't forget anything we asked for, knew the menu up and down, and was constantly refilling our drinks. Management needs to promote this guy asap, because he honesty is way too good to be a server. Came here last Monday with my friends to catch up and it so happened to be happy hour and Monday football night! It was so lit! Normally we come here for dinner or birthdays, but coming on a football night was a new experience. The atmosphere is great if you love football, get great deals on appetizers and drinks from their happy hour menu that goes until the final play of the game, and good company. There are TVs everywhere so you won't miss the game. The staff are great at always checking in on you if you want to order, reorder, etc. We got lots of appetizers and shared it amongst us all: poke nachos, fried Mac and cheese, sliders, pepperoni and mushroom pizza, spinach and cheese dip, and Korean wings. Amongst 6 of us we all split the check and paid around $10. Such a good deal! All were good but the sliders were the most disappointing. It didn't even look appetizing, very greasy, no lettuce either. My favorite had to be the poke nachos, wings and the fried Mac and cheese was a cool concept with the vodka marinara type of dipping sauce. Overall great experience here:) read more
