The host was friendly, and the big bar right in the center of the restaurant really adds to the atmosphere. The ambiance was chill and relaxed not rowdy at all. The staff was excellent, the service was great all around, and the food was delicious. I also had the pleasure of meeting the manager, Dean, who had a great attitude and clearly knows what he's doing. As for my server, Kaelyn, it was a pleasure meeting you! Yard house is always the same, predictable, good food and a good time, however today was miserable, there were 7 in our party and we celebrated our friends birthday, I didn't enjoy my cajun shrimp tacos as they were smothered in guacamole and cream and that's all I tasted, my friends tacos were awful too, she sent one back. This was all ok whatever we knew we could have exchanged our food but I was really hungry so I ate it.. The worst part was it was uncomfortably HOT in that restaurant! Reading other reviews, I see they have a record of discontinuing well loved dishes or changing up recipes. This was exactly my experience last night. I'd been frequenting here more often mainly for the BREAD PUDDING which is my fave dessert and a rare find in this city. My friend and I looked forward to ordering 2 but come to find out they replaced it with a lame whiskey cake instead. I even overheard the next table trying to order one and they were disappointed too. Why not just ADD a new cake to the menu instead of pulling a favorite? Ughh it's so frustrating and honestly the rest of the menu is so mediocre. The salads are basic and the healthy ones lack flavor. The truffle pizza is delicious but greasy as hell. Several other dishes I've had are OK but not worth coming back for on their own. One night my table was transferred to another server and he just ignored me so I had the BUSSER take my order and left HIM the tip. We would usually go to the one in Long Beach so it was a first time at this location. If you ever tried their enchilada stack from years ago you will see it's not the same anymore although they claim it is with the same ingredients. Maybe it was an off night, idk. But I did NOT like them. Tasted entirely different. 2/10 Our waiter was great tho! Very attentive and on top of things. I ordered the cucumber mint topo Chico refresher and it was amazing!! I now make it just like that at home. I will be back only for the drinks, not a big fan of their food. I did find it odd that when I asked for a side of salsa, the server seemed very confused & returned with 2-sides of warm green & red enchilada sauce (NOT SALSA). How do you serve nachos with no salsa? That was disappointing. I decided to ask another server in passing for salsa or even pico...NOTHING! We also each tried a 2-taco combo. Carne asada and the birria tacos were both pretty bland (could've used that salsa...nvm). The shrimp taco was decent. Also, side of beans are served on top of the rice, so if that's not your thing be sure to mention it. I wasn't familiar with their tortilla soup, so the server let me try it and it was also ok. Happy hour deal - this review is for their happy hour menu. The happy hour at yard house is excellent!! They have several options on their HH menu for 50% the normal price. Although HH is usually packed, you can order on the tablet and food comes quick. Ordering drinks requires a server but she was also very attentive. A 3 because these type spots just really aren't my thing. Ie commercial type restaurants that are typically in suburban neighborhoods and serve the masses. I'm more of a private family owned foodie quality spot with an amazing vibe. That said, Yard Houses garlic shiitake mushroom noodles are better than Crustaceans. Their BBQ Chicken salad is huge and good. Their grilled cheese tomatoe bisque is decent but I won't order it again. The parm truffle fries and sweet potatoe fries would have been good if they were fresh and hot. There are as no one there, our food took a while and it came out cold. My experience today 08/25 was terrible at Happy Hour. My server Laura F who never spoke once until I was walking out but had the male trainee who was shadowing her that day only address me as i watch her address every table around me along with him. While the trainee did nothing wrong I live in the area so i go there monthly. Laura the server asked everyone around me if they needed anything or there bill. I had to wait around get the trainee attention even though i was visibly done i then waited more with stacks plates my bill and receipt on the table for 10 mins as she continued to ignore me and then go to the patio with the trainee. Finally I got up with my son and went to pay the bill with the bartender who kindly helped me. Laura F(red hair) finally comes over to address me out the door to accuse me of not paying my bill even though she admitted to seeing me at the bar after i showed her i closed out even tipping her she still proceeded to come in my face accusing me of not paying threatening me with my child. We went during happy hour and ordered the poke nachos, chicken nachos (HUGE and very shareable), plus a beer, wine, and a spritzer. Everything on the happy hour menu felt like a good value, with the poke nachos being a standout. Extra credit to our server for this one: BBQ Chicken Pizza wasn't actually on the happy hour menu (Buffalo was), and while we were deciding what to get, I reminded my husband that he always confuses the two, and doesn't like buffalo pizza because of the spice. Our server immediately offered to have the kitchen make a BBQ Chicken Pizza instead. We assumed it would be full price, but it was charged at the happy hour price, which was an awesome surprise and really shows how patient and accommodating she was. Unfortunately the Cali Roll Stack missed the mark. My teen, who LIVES for California rolls, took one bite and didn't touch it again. There was a lot of masago, (the little fish eggs) which we didn't love. It was *meh* at best and we wouldn't order it again, though we might try the Spicy Tuna Stack next time. Dessert (bread pudding and lava cake) was delicious. Huge shout-out to our server, listed on our receipt as Bahri M. She was funny, attentive, super patient, and (according my teen) a total baddie with makeup that was on point. Only downside: a $3 "Ziosk Games" charge on the receipt, even though we didn't play any games. We used the little table-too screen to pay our check at the end, because our server's section seemed to get busy. I'm not sure if that's why it charged us, but there was no notification of an extra charge for using it, and it was annoying enough to knock off a star on the review. My first experience with the Yard House in Marina del Rey was okay. My mom wanted to go back for happy hour so I gave them a second shot. As always, the restaurant looks great, clean customer service was good, friendly and very attentive to our needs. These areas are never a problem. It's always food quality. My best friend and I needed something light before starting our night, and Yard House immediately came to mind. My mom loves the lobster garlic noodles here so it's in our family's rotation of restaurants. The calamari is a good app to share as are the chicken wings (you can choose multiple sauces like buffalo or Korean). Yard house is gluten friendly and vegetarian friendly. I ordered the salad because we were eating a lot on the front end with the apps but my boyfriend likes getting the truffle burger a lot. It's not necessary to upgrade to the truffle fries. The chocolate lava cake is light on the molten chocolate and the vanilla ice cream is a bit icy so I'd focus more on the apps rather than dessert. We decided to go here for happy hour tonight, which runs from 3-8pm and got a decent amount of food (great portions) for under $20 which was great. Inside it was also nicely spaced out and a nice, cool place to get out of the sun/heat. The service was not really that great though, as we were ready to pay (and we did try multiple times to pay on the little machine but it just kept saying POS in use- and we tried multiple different cards to be sure)... even after we let the server know we were done, the little computer still wasn't letting us pay. We ended up waiting more time to be able to pay than we did for the food though, so the food service is quick at least! read more

We went to Yard House after a local craft fair since there wasn't too many walking options. There were quite a few large groups which made me think this was a good choice. Service was quick and we ordered two salads and a chicken sandwich (not pictured). Salads were terrific and my friend could only eat half her sandwich as it was a large sandwich. Went to grab food before a concert at the kia forum. Pulled up to get happy hour deals as the website said there was no wait and thus no need to join the waitlist. Walked up and there was a huge line inside and outside. Half of the restaurant was empty but it was at least a 30 minute wait according to the hostess. I always have a fun time at Yard house! Came here with friends to eat before we went to the AMC theatre's located next to Yard House. We were greeted by the hostesses who were super energetic and friendly. The restaurant was a tad busy so we put our names on the wait list and grabbed a drink by the bar. The wait went super fast and we were guided to our table. Off the bat, I can say that every Yard House location I've been to has an energetic vibe. People come for various reasons whether it's to watch a sports game, grab some good food or have a good beer before venturing off to their next place. The food we had was great and a good portion size. I ordered the cheeseburger sliders which came with fries and my friends ordered the fish tacos and the carne asada tacos. Everything came out in a good time and was tasty. This location has lots of parking since it's connected to a garage and has a lot of different stories and shops next to it. I was going to leave, but I thought.... maybe he won't be as bad this visit. I sat there for about 12 minutes. He never came over. I flagged him down ,he comes over with an attitude and asked for my drink order. He takes my order and leaves quickly. After he makes my drink, he never comes back to take my order. I'd previously eaten at YH only once, circa 2004, and got a chance to enjoy again after visiting the aquarium in October 2025. I've since been absolutely obsessed with the cheese curds, so we went to the MDR location on Friday 1/2/2026. We arrived right at 3PM, were seated quickly, and our order taken post haste. Their HH menu ROCKS! $24 got us a pizza, curds, and nachos. These three items could easily and generously feed four. We did note that the size of the nachos was 25% smaller than LBC, but everything was absolutely delicious. Anthony V. was a pro and took great care of us. Pro tip - double up on the curd sauces because they both take the pizza into the stratosphere. Yard House is in our rotation of restaurants that we frequent for lunch. They have tons of covered parking in the building. I love having 100 beers on tap. My favorite dish is the Jambalaya that I get served over Cauliflower Rice. I order the large size and get 3 meals out of it. Shrimp, crawfish, sausage and chicken are perfectly seasoned and delicious. I enjoy trying all of the different dark beers that they have in their rotation. The price is fair for the quality and quantity of food that they serve. Nearly every server is excellent and accommodating. This place is well worth a try read more
