Been here a couple of times now, and will definitely continue to go back! I'm not a beer person myself but the beer menu looks impressive and extensive. Cocktails are yummy. Amazing customer service! It was a super crowded night and they got us in very fast even for a party of 12! We participated in Happy Hour for their appetizers. Super fast delivery and great order. We had one plate that was a bit "off" in flavor. We told the waiter about it and he didn't charge us for it. Then we had placed an order for a last appetizer and they forgot about it. Oh YH is a cool place. They have those cool half yard drinks- I love their ciders, pear and pineapple!! Yummy!!! Among a huge selection of beers and mixed drinks. Full bar service. The service is good (they don't sing happy birthday so if you are celebrating a bday and want your person to get serenaded by the restaurant crew this is not the place to go to celebrate a bday lol) but you do get a free dessert if it's your bday! The food is good. They have lunch options soup or salad with half sandwich or pizza for $9.95 good deal. Their pizza is great, they also have great burgers. Also great place for dessert! Good variety of ice cream, chocolate cake, smores brownie etc. great happy hour prices and selections too! the wait can be very long nights and weekends. If you have a party of more than 5 call ahead or else expect to wait for a very long time. The place is nice and clean. Very big and spacious. Visiting on a Sunday was not as busy as I imagined. Our waiter was very nice always had a smile and attended us very well. For the first time because of this waiter I can say I had a pleasant experience here. I ordered the dessert trio which was filling ! As well as a couple salted watermelon margaritas and a Bloody Mary. All of which I completely recommend. I wish pricing was more affordable and they would turn the music down. Every single time I visit yard house I find myself yelling and loosing my voice because of how loud the music is. I was looking for a casual place to meet up with a friend and after wandering through The Collection, we saw that this place had a good number of people inside. We ordered the truffle fries and let me tell you, shoestring fries are my weakness. So many of my past arguments and stressful life events could have been resolved with shoestring fries. I wish I had known about the delicious truffley parmaseany shoestringy fries at Yardhouse sooner! So yeah if this is your thing, get the truffle fries. For my entree, I ordered an appetizer (YOLO) because passing up on poke nachos would've been way too difficult. If cilantro isn't your thing, stay away from this dish because it was cilantro galore. The dish itself wasn't bad but it's not something I would ever get again because I felt like I was served a soup of sriracha aioli with a side of nori and raw ahi. I would've given this place 2 stars because of that overwhelmingly saucy mess but the fries made up for it. But honestly, there's a bunch of food here that might be more appealing to you than it was to me so come on down and see what catches your eye! read more

The only reason I am overriding my last review is because our lovely waitress, Valerie, was amazing! She provided an indescribable service. Typically service is alright when we dine-in but I will have to say this, hands down, best service I've received since they opened Yard House- Oxnard. Don't get me wrong, some of the experiences were great but Valerie, today, topped every single one of them. Smile on her face like she wanted to be there. That's what I am talking about! Prime employee right there. She was quick with getting our drinks and our food came out in a timely manner. I felt content walking out of YH today. Hopefully next time we come, she will be there! It would be no stars if I could. The only 2 times I've been in there they have screwed my order up royally. The first time they actually comp our whole meal. They should have done it again. I ordered it to go they told me 15-20 mins. I got there right at 20 mins. Food wasn't ready. Waited 15 mins and they finally tell me they messed up on of the dishes. So another 12 mins and finally the rest of the food came out. So needless to say all the food was ice cold except the meal that got screwed up. There are other things to complain about but what's the point. I will never go back. And on top of it all they didn't even comp anything. $83 bucks down the drain. read more

Let me preface my review with the fact that I normally LOVE Yard House. I've ate in other locations and have had great experiences, however, my experience here was rather Meh. I stopped in after a funeral of a colleague with my husband, I was looking for something to brighten up my day. We ordered an appetizer, then a while later ordered our entrees. Our appetizer came out after we received our entrees, which defeats the purpose of the appetizer tiding us over. My fries were cold, not even luke warm and we had to request new fries. They did bring out the hot fries and apologized. Overall experience was not what I expected and have received from other locations (across the country). 12/28/2016: Edit to advise that I have been in contact with management at this location and they are making things right. I will update my review once I return and have another experience to report on. I did update the review by 2 stars since management is addressing the situation. I understand that people are not perfect and will note, I myself was having a craptastic day, which may have colored my view of this particular visit. read more

After a local race (running), my friends and I headed here to catch some early football and grab some grub and refreshments ;P There were 8 of us in the party and the restaurant was about 25% full. Regardless, service was very slow. They also charged us for items we either already paid for at the bar or ordered, but never got. I"m not sure why they didn't track our drink orders better. Food was 3 out of 5 stars. I just got a side salad (I always crave veggies & tons of fruits after a long run)... and the portion was humongous. I was told by a buddy who did a 100 mile bike ride the day before that he is in love with the grilled cheese (with all the fixins - bacon and avocado) and tomato soup combo. So... it's a must try. Came here one night and ordered the boneless wings after about two boneless wing in, i pulled out a hair along with the reminder of the food. Told the waiter and he was really nice about it and was grossed out took my plate back and not even 5 minutes later the manager came over and apologizes and took care of the order and provided with new wings. You can fit a crowd in one of those. And when it is a crowd..oh that's right. It's gonna have the chances that it just might get loud. Service: Every new place has to break it in on service. Cut the crap and mellow out. You run on your feet for 10 hours, 6 nights a week, and see how you like it. Oh, that's right - you are too busy being a snob to care - or think for that matter. Be prepared to share these nachos, its a big plate. They say you can share with about 3 others but lets be real and say about 2 ( I have a big appetite). I was REALLY looking forward to going here. I went with my boyfriend and two friends. We arrived at 8pm on a Friday...the wait was 1.5 hours. Him and I decided to get drinks at the bar and just relax until my two friends showed up. Seating was tricky...but a REALLY nice couple was leaving and gave us their seats at the bar. Here comes the laundry list. So we sit down and immediately we are asked what we would like (off to a great start...things were hopeful). We order our drinks and an appetizer. It was all VERY tasty. As we are sitting there a lady has a BABY in the BAR STOOL next to us. My boyfriend kept accidently bumping the bassinet because it was WAY too large to be there. Not to mention it was 9pm...and at a friggin bar. Only in Oxnard do you see this. But what put the cherry on the top was the fact she kept throwing US bad looks as if we were doing something wrong. Maybe she was hoping we would give her the mom of the year award? I'm not sure...but next time down bring your newborn baby to a bar unless you know people are going to be bumping the baby. The bill came and for 4 drinks (2 each) and 1 appetizer it came out to $54. Yeah. So our friends came and by then our buzzer went off. We settled the bill and then were seated in our spot. There was a group of maybe 8 Oxnard cholo's and cholas sitting next to us (who also decided they were going to dry hump at the dinner table during dinner). The waiter said they had been there for 4+ hours and had not settled down. The 4 of us couldn't even hear each other over the LOUD ruckus going on at the next table and over the loud music. The funny thing was that at the bar the music was OK and there were no loud people. Totally couldn't enjoy anything. So my boyfriend and I order 1 more round of drinks and then our dinner....$58....I was shocked. I can't believe that we paid $120 (after our tips) and my friends paid over $100 on their drinks and food. I called the Yard House a couple days later (today) and spoke to the general manager about this situation. He was extremely nice about everything and apologized. I explained that our waiter (Nathan) was VERY nice and he was attentive and very polite (even when the place was packed!!). They are making it right by sending a gift card. I will come back and give it another chance. If this same situation happens to you ask for the manager...they can move you or ask the loud group to simmer down. I'm giving YH a 4 out of 5 stars because they really do value their customers and they have their hands full with the Oxnard crowd. read more

Worst Yardhouse I have ever been to. I've been to the OC & downtown L.A. location and it has been by far a better experience. As soon as we walked in, 2 of us, there's was 5 employees at the front desk and never got greeted or acknowledge for a good minute or two. Finally we got a hi and got seated. And it wasn't busy. After almost 10 minutes someone finally asked if we wanted anything to drink. There was so many waiters and no one helped. Food was good but it was a burger so kinda hard to mess up a burger. The bartender did a nice job by letting me try 3 amber beers..I defaulted for the 805-it tasted the best. My girlfriends love it here. The restaurant is gigantic with tall ceiling and cool fans. The chairs at the bar had back rests- loved. And the bathroom was pristine. The cooks do a wonderful job with playing the food, every detail counts in my book oh and happy hour starts at 3!! Tried the chicken nachos and my God, that's a lot of food for a 6 buck appetizer (at happy hour) Pear and gorgonzola just as good here as it was up in Roseville. But I firmly believe beer is a TOTALLY useless beverage. As a friend put it: "a lot of liquid for a pitiful amount of alcohol." Agree entirely :) I never checked the wine list but I'd have wine next time here. Or booze booze. The Hoegaarden tastes wonderful but I drank a whole goblet and 45 minutes later entirely sober. That's unacceptable for the amount of calories I likely consumed. read more

Nice Yard House location. A very fun hang out place. Food, drinks, music and service was great. Their menu is extensive. I liked the atmosphere and crowd. It's loud but the noise level can be cut in half if an outdoor table is selected. The estimated wait time for a table was accurate and only 10 minutes on this Saturday night. I've been to the Yardhouse about three times now, and none of these times has ever been spectacular. Although I do like their drink selection, the food has never impressed me, and last night may have been my last visit, as I received the worst service I've ever had, anywhere. If I could even call it "service," because there was none given to me at all. I met my cousin and her fiance there, and no one greeted me when I walked in the door despite there being four or five hosts/hostesses at the entrance. No one said hello to me when I sat down at the bar, and after waiting a bit I had to flag someone down to place my order. The guy I finally did flag down seemed annoyed with having to put my order in, never smiled and hardly even looked at me. Luckily my food arrived quickly (it was a dessert), but with no silverware, nor did I receive any when I first arrived. After I did get it, no one checked up on me even once. I was there for an hour and a half and no one asked how my dessert was, no offers for a drink refill, nothing. Then I had to flag someone down again so I could pay. I left about a ten percent tip, and even that felt generous. I only tipped in the first place because I waited tables in the past and know how taboo it is not to. After I left the bar I asked to speak to a manager. I told her about my experience. I said I waited tables in the past and didn't want to sound like a jerk because I know how difficult food and beverage can be, but that I honestly hadn't felt like tipping because no one waited on me, so who would I have been tipping? This manager's name was Naomi and I can say that she, at least, was very nice and apologetic and offered to comp my bill. I declined her offer, but she took my name and contact information so that customer service might contact me. I liked her and did feel better upon leaving that someone tried to make my experience better, but I don't know if I'll be returning to the Yardhouse anytime soon. Certainly never again during evening hours. I wanted to like this place, but I'm afraid the service needs some major improvement. read more
