The service was great(Lexus our server and Nathan the manager, sorry for what you had to go through) the food was great, and drinks were good pours. Went there for a birthday lunch celebration with 10+ friends. Service was almost nonexistent. My daughter and I ordered a pizza to share and 2 side salads + cokes. Pizza~ another guest nailed it: looked and tasted like a gas station pizza. The pizza was small- that being said, both of us left our piece uneaten after taking one bite. Salads~ asked for side salads; got charged for entree size. Coke- $3.25 Don'tmind paying that, but never even got a refill Service- worst check out procedure I've even seen at a restaurant. One patron at a time could check out on the servers Tablet. So non-conducive; it took over 1 hour for all of us to pay. That's pretty crazy for a lunch hour. Luckily none of us had to return to work or it would have been a sh*t storm!!! And gotta love that they added the gratuity on....i get it=large party. But horrible service !!!! Stopped in alone for lunch on Thursday and had a great experience. The bartender was nice and friendly. The calamari was crispy and filled with delicious parts of the circle squid pieces as well as the little baby squid The service was fast and smooth which is exactly what I need in a lunch spot. Great experience tonight at yard house, the people are on top of it. Always professional And friendly even when they're slammed. The food has gotten better since they opened. Their menu is very extensive with lots of options for people with specials diets, vegetarian gluten free and things can be made vegan as well. As soon as we walked in, the place had a funky smell to it. Kind of like when you take a dirty towel and wipe tables with it type of smell. My wife was starving so we asked if we can get some bread. Our server brought us some bread, which was not edible because it was stale. I ordered the lobster and crab dip, which was quite bland, the tortilla chips that came with it didn't have much flavor, and the pita bread pieces we're overly toasted. My wife ordered the barbecue chicken salad, and it was spicy however it did not taste very good. It had pieces of corn which didn't have much flavor, the chicken had a smokiness taste to it. I ordered the half club sandwich and tomato bisque. The club sandwich was probably one of the most bland sandwiches I've ever eaten. It was so bad that I sent it back. Saturday night 30 minute wait tops and we really waited for less than 15. This place is huge with the TVs as well as a roomy bar! There's a couple of fires places around this place too. Now what's so adorable here is that the majority of the desserts are mini- which are terms for actually just enough. So you know how you stuff your self at dinner and you have no room for dessert. Well no worries here folks you'll have room for dessert this little cup was adorable and it was really just enough so I wouldn't feel bad about my cheat day! Have you ever had a cobbler that was super sweet and over whelming, well this is just right I promise! Scouts honor the crust is perfect as well as the peach and apple perfect pair! On to the entrees did I tell you that they are "VEGAN" friendly they have an entire section for you all! It's amazing the fried buffalo cauliflower will be a must try that batter is clearly seasoned and amazing! The waitress and the food was great. However what threw this experience out for us for the seating hostess a d her rude behavior. We walked in on May 7,2021 at about 7:30pm and asked for a table for 2. She said the wait was about 40 minutes. So we put ourselves on the wait list. She told us not to call because we will get a text when our table is ready. Fair enough! We went out to our car to wait since it was cold and raining that night. 25 minutes later we were 4th on wait list moving up from 8th. So we thought we would be up in another 20-25 minutes for our turn. So 15 minutes later we are 2nd. So we are just waiting for a text to go in now, then it says we are 5th on the list!so I am like maybe this app updated it wrong, let me refresh- we are 4th!!! So after an hour of going up/down on this wait list- we walk to the front desk- so mind you no one is waiting in their vestibule or outside the door anymore. I ask the hostess how come we keep sliding back on the line and haven't received a text to be seated yet and that there is no one waiting here anymore! She turns her back, fidgets with some menus and states some people might have taken bar seating so the app might have moved our position around. How come we weren't offered the bar seating if we were next in line?? No answer! Then she states you have to go outside and wait for seating! Really??? No answer to my question but just a point blank go outside and wait! No apology or "please!"!! As we step outside contemplating going to a different place, I get a text from a 734 number that's just states- see your hostess to be seated! This makes me think it is she who texted me (as she has my number from waitlist). It has no etiquette of welcome to the business, we are pleased to say it's your turn or anything like that!! We walk in and she says- what can I do for you now? I show her the text and she goes ok follow me!!! This whole this made us really second guess our choice of the yard house as our Mother's Day dinner, me and my girlfriend decided we don't want someone else's attitude to spoil our one night away from kids! Last night I dined at the Yard House for the first time. When I arrived I thought that the restaurant was very beautiful and hip. I loved the fact that there was a lot to choose from on the menu. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries. The chicken sandwich was okay and I wish that my sweet potato fries were crispy. My mother had the street tacos with truffle fries. The truffle fries were better than the side I ordered. However, there was no jalapeño peppers and salsa for my mom's tacos which was disappointing. Also, the tacos would have been better if they were on corn tortilla instead of flour tortilla. We also ordered the onion ring tower which was delicious. You must try there magic margaritas! My husband and I met his brothers up here for a cocktail before dinner on my birthday. The midnight sangria was not as tasty as the time I had gotten it previously. It was disappointing since that is why we chose Yard House. For that specific drink. There were about four people working the bar total. My drink order was taken, but there was no smile or welcome or any interaction other than what was necessary to give me my drink. Disappointing. read more

What a great addition in Troy this is a very nice bar restaurant with plenty of food and drink options. It's loud with great music and plenty of tv's thru out the restaurant if you are looking for quiet this is not the place for you. But if you want good drinks, a variety of food options you have chosen the right spot. Browsing at the menu I discovered they offer plenty of vegetarian choices. Their food and drink menu is diverse and offers plenty of options from IPA beer, all sorts of liquor and wine. The restaurant has a fun vibe next time I have to go try their happy hour options. Tonight we decided to try their poke nacho instead of regular nachos and what a great choice. If you like ahi tuna this is your dish. Their bbq pizza was also great-check out the pictures. Their spicy jambalaya was tasty and the shrimp was a good size. We were too full to order desserts. We came for a late lunch and drinks during the snowstorm on Monday. The menu is so extensive anyone could find something they like. I chose the lunch special and my boyfriend had tacos. My most recent trip to Yard House was very unsatisfactory. I visited with a friend/coworker at lunchtime. Our waiter, Justin, was was overly familiar, bordering on smarmy (a word I'm using here for the first time ever in life). We told him we were on our lunch hour, but when we placed our orders he went to the next table and had a looooong conversation with them, during which I changed my mind on my entre. Seeing that the conversation was going to continue indefinitely, I interrupted to change my order from fish and chips to orange chicken. Justin changed my order on his notes and then continued with the conversation with our neighbors. By this time my coworker and I were beside ourselves, but not as mad as we were by the time we got our meals, at nearly 1:40 (our lunch hour began at 1:00 and we're not a 5 min walk from Yard House). We asked for carry out boxes immediately. When my friend cut open her burger, it was medium rare instead of medium well. Justin looked at it and muttered something I couldn't quite make out, but which sounded like he put the order in that way. I cant remember what he did then; he may have walked off with it. At this point my companion got up and asked the greeter for a manager. The manager arrived along with the waiter, so she didnt feel free to discuss the waiter's lackadaisical attitude about sunmitting our orders while he was standing there. The manager heard the part about the burger and asked if they could send her with something, but she said she didn't have time to eat this afternoon while she worked and just wanted the burger taken off her bill. The manager went to get her a gift card and said he'd take it off the bill. My lunchtime was also ruined by this fiasco but my bill was not comped. The manager was in problem-solving mode but had not yet heard the rest of what my friend had to say so she had to call him back to explain that the waiter had not entered our orders expediently. So she spent her entire lunchtime and ate nothing, and I ended up eating my lukewarm lunch at my desk. At least it wasn't fish! We have gone to Yard House for lunch before and had no issues with time. We usually order salads but we have ordered wings on another occasion and we got out in time. I really think our waiter was a factor but it falls on management to train staff to hustle during the lunch rush. Not sure if I'd ever come back for lunch. At least I feel owed a lunch as this one was disrupted. read more

Troy Michigan has got a winner! I love Yardhouse and am on a mission to go to everyone! But on a serious note I was in town to visit family and decided to drop in, it had only been open for about two weeks when I went in. I dined in alone so I just sat at the bar, where I received such friendly and fast service and enjoyed my favorite thing from their menu.. chicken tenders, plus I couldn't leave without having a little dessert before hopping on the road, so I indulged in the cheesecake crème brulee. I honestly would like to come back to see how it is in the summer time after its been open for awhile. read more

We came here with a group of 14 for a team event celebration. We called the Sunday before to make reservations and they said they didn't take reservations on Sunday but we could come in because they would be slow. We arrived and there was a 2 hour wait and we come to find they do take reservations. We all come from different areas and it was snowing very hard so it was extremely inconvenient for this to happen. Luckily seasons 52 was more than accommodating for us next door. Very unprofessional and didn't seem to care much about it. Go somewhere else where you won't waste your time. Yard house is a beautiful laid out establishment with massive amounts of tvs and one of the biggest beer selections I've seen. The staff was on top of things and extremely friendly . I had the angel hair shrimp pasta with tomato cream sauce. I got the smaller size and it was delicious and filled me up . My mom enjoyed the short rib ravioli and I got to sample some. It too was great and the sub dried tomato added the little extra flavor it needed . I wish I was hungrier so I could of tried more of their HUGE menu. Will def go back soon! read more

I went in for lunch and got the lunch "special" for 9.99 only there was a $2.00 up charge for the chicken tortilla for whatever reason. We came for happy hour and scored an outdoor booth. It was a perfect day for it and I was happy to have that option. There are certainly tons of drink and food options and there was a nice variety of apps for 1/2 off during happy hour. I didn't love the house golden Pilsner, it was just generic. The house Belgian amber tripel was good though. We ordered the poke nachos, the chicken lettuce wraps and the fried cheese curds. I loved the cheese curds but everything else was just ok to me. Came for my birthday diner, was told it was going to be a 25 minute wait. Buzzer went off notifying that my table is ready, then was told the wait is going to be 1-2 hours!! So basically they gave my table away to someone that came after and they wouldn't own up to their mistake. Horrible customer service. Been here a few times now and wanted to share my experience. First off, most impressive to me is the way I have seen the team there work together. All the bartenders worked together with everyone at the bar. Beer selection is very strong, lot of variety and lot of willingness by the staff to get you tastes and give recommendations. the menu also has good variety and i have had some apps and the burgers as well as salads and the shrimp and vodka sauce pasta. The only constructive criticism was that it was very tight (we felt like we couldn't move in our seats without hitting the person at the next table) and a bit loud which hindered conversation. One of my favorite restaurants with a MASSIVE selection of beers on tap - I mean everything. To top it off- the food is fantastic- I've been on multiple occasions and the food never disappoints. There is a lot of variety on the menu- as there is on the beer list. Good place for any occasion- probably on the louder side during the dinner rush- I wouldn't say it's somewhere for "quiet conversation" when it's busy. The parking is also a little tough when it's busy... but other than that the Yard House is among my favorites. read more
