Yard House is a great place to get together with friends! I've been to this location numerous times and always enjoy the food and atmosphere. Service usually goes off without a hitch too. They offer a good happy hour with a discount on drinks and half off selected appetizers. The portions here are pretty big when it comes to food. Prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is casual yet elevated. The bar area is huge and the layout of the restaurant is so you focus on the bar, specifically the draft beer. One of the appealing offerings is the yard glass of beer, it's huge. My favorite dishes are the Chicken Nachos, Sweet Potato Fries, Mac and Cheese. Another thing I like is that they have an online waitlist. So if you are planning on coming during a busier time (dinner, weekends, etc) check-in online first when you are on the way to save your spot. It has shortened my wait time by a lot! read more

I was a big fan of Yard House for many years but I hadn't been there for a while until yesterday. I suggested Yard House to my friend because they've always had a great happy hour. I ordered two glasses of wine and two appetizers. When the bill came it was $48, I was shocked. I asked the bartender why it said happy hour half off apps on the check but the charges were full price. She looked like she was doing the math and then abruptly said it was correct. So, you're saying that a small plate of blackened sashimi and the "chicken" wraps are normally $29 each? This at a time when people already don't feel they can afford to eat out? Decided to stop by for a quick dinner before I went to an event at the Sandler Center. I was surprised to see how busy it was on a Tuesday at around 5pm. We order a margherita pizza and some truffle fries. Both items were delicious. My daughter got a barrel aged ale and she enjoyed it. I'm not a beer drinker but no matter where we go, my daughter always has me sample something in hopes of finding something I like. Well look no further, I finally found one I liked. It's a framboise and it's perfect for me. The reason I don't like beer is because of the hops and this beer is not hoppy at all. The service was good. SYSCO hell. You know it's bad when you walk into a restaurant and it has that sour dishwasher smell. We were seated right by the kitchen in a mostly empty restaurant. So if the blaring music wasn't enough, the kids and I got to enjoy the servers and cooks screeching at each other about "69" and other cool stuff. The BRIGHT kitchen lights were also directly in our eyes. The tv closest to us was out of service. The bar was covered. in glasses and mess even though nobody was sitting there. The veggie section of the menu is gone, so I ordered the Mediterranean veggie burger. The burger was spicy but flavorless. It was crumbly and the unripe tomato was the chewiest thing about it. The untoasted SYSCO bun was terrible. The salad was abysmal. The drink I ordered was good but it sat at the bar adjacent from us for 20+ minutes while the kids finished their sodas and our server vanished. I eventually walked up and asked if it was for me and I could just take it. The bartender said he'd walk it over. After an awkward few minutes, he did. My buddy and I walked to Yard House from our hotel (Crown Plaza). It seemed very busy, it was Saturday evening, but we sat at the bar and got right in. The bartenders all appear to work together to take care of those seated at the bar so that was nice. I ordered a smoked old fashion which was delicious. My buddy was excited about all the beers they have on tap. I got the Blue bacon burger and queso cheese dip with ground beef. I had my burger cooked medium rare and it was absolutely delicious. Due to my diet restriction I didn't eat the bun but it looked perfect. There was a good amount of creamy melted blue cheese and the bacon was nice thick and crisp. The burger had great flavor and was cooked exactly how I wanted. This is where they lost five stars though; my buddy got a 20 oz ribeye and asked for it medium well (if he wants to ruin his steak that's his business). They brought out the steak and it was definitely medium rare. They agreed that it was medium rare and not the medium well he asked for. He asked for them to cook it longer--they took it back and you could tell they put it back on the grill--however it was at best, medium when they brought it back. Buddy didn't want to wait so he ate what he could. Though I would never ruin a steak by overcooking it like that--a restaurant should be able to properly cook a steak to the patrons request. The service had me impressed specially in times where is hard to find bare minimum service, this was impressive !! Shelly took care of our initial drinks and order and then Sam was constantly helping behind the bar, making sure everything was stocked and cleaned and often checking up on everyone. Will was going around also checking on people, offering drinks and seeing if anyone needed anything. At some point I decided to have a flight of beers and Dennis came to the rescue to quickly take my order and I left it up to him to make some selections and they were all on point. From there Dennis continued to check on us and make sure everything was good. The food was great as well. I had the "two pepper jack" burger with fries. DELICIOUS! That's it. For dessert I had the bread pudding it was good. Not overly sweet, not too hard, not too chewy. Wow! We generally love the Yard House. This time was quite a let down. We are staying next door at the Hilton and decided to get takeout. I have tried many items on the menu but my favorite lately has been the tacos with the ever so delicious Parmesan Truffle Fries, which I can eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner. My favorite tacos are the Carne Asada, Baha Taco and the Blackened Shrimp. Each taco has a very distinct taste but are all very delicious. Our waitress helped my boyfriend decide on what to eat so she suggested the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich and OMG, it was the perfect spicy, saucy, crispy, juicy chicken sandwich we'd ever had! Definite 10/10! My favorite drink is a classic margarita but I tried the Grapefruit Paloma Margarita and it was actually very delicious. It wasn't too sweet and it was very refreshing. It glitched out on me when I went to order my drink & the waitress seemed upset at me over it. When one of my friends came she asked the host if she'd seen us & they just told her to take lap. My wife and I stopped in for a last visit before leaving the area. As we walked in, we could see that the place was well kept and well appointed. We opened with adult beverages, Bloody Mary for me and a glass of red wine for my wife. The Bloody Mary had just the right amount of spice! For a starter, we ordered their poke nachos. They were delicious and surprisingly spicy, even after picking off the Serano peppers. Delicious! As it was such a large order, my wife and I had to change what we were thinking of for our main course. My wife thought the cup of tomato bisque would be best for her and I decided on the small Cobb salad with grilled shrimp. The small salad is actually fair size, adding shrimp made it even larger. Came back after 3 years and still love the flavorful items. Favorite will always be the shiitake garlic noodle appetizers. This time around we got that, the calamari, and avocado toast. I personally got the steak bowl, husband got the Korean steak, daughter got the pork chops and vodka chicken penne pasta.
