Went here with family for dinner on a Friday night, and was surprised there was no wait around 6:30pm. It's Yard House, so music was loud enough and the vibe was pretty cool. Menu had plenty of options as usual. We shared the Ahi Nachos appetizer (delicious!), I had a classic cheeseburger (medium) with the house IPA, while wifey had the shrimp tacos. Burger was filling and the beer was a good match. Little man had the tenders and fries. Service was quick and servers were courteous and checked on us appropriately. We were treated decently. We were here in D.C. sightseeing and had dinner here one evening. All the wait staff were very friendly on a crowded night. Between my wife, teenage son, and myself we had the chi ken nachos, fish and chips, Thai pork chop, and chicken fingers. The chicken nachos came out super fast and were very good. I absolutely love Yard House, there is a variety of menu options that are not only tasty but vegetarian friendly. You don't have to wait long for your food to be ready and the service is pretty good. Waiters and Hostess vary in personality so we can't really expect consistency there but the overall experience from Florida locations to the DC Chinatown location is pretty consistent as it relates to the quality and taste of the food. I would say that the dragon fruit lemonade is a bit over-hyped it's tasty but a regular lemonade would also suffice. I love that most items have caloric estimates which help the guests to make informed decisions as it relates to their present nutritional goals. The good ole yard house! This yard house has 2 floors. It was my first time seeing it in Chinese. My boyfriend and I were seated fairly quickly when we went around 9pm. We sat in the booth area and the bottom of the table wasn't cleaned. It had tissues and people spilled their drinks on the floor. I came here after a game and was pleasantly surprised by the food selection. The chicken wings were a little on the smaller side, but then again, perhaps it's not as unusually large as the ones in other places. More than anything, I was surprised at the good quality of the seared ahi crusted tuna, as the entrees were large enough to be split into two and balanced well with the other fried food on the menu. The beer menu is excellent and will certainly have something for everyone. All in all, I would say that it's a solid place to grab a drink. But I do think that the service canb e a bit off depending on whether you can find a seat at the bar and the wait can be a little long. So I'll give it a 4 but would definitely be back. read more

Great place to hangout! For those who don't know, Yard House is an upscale sports-bar chain that serves several craft beers on tap, as well as upscale bar food. Yard House is always pretty crowded, but the staff is very professional and accommodating. If there aren't enough seats at the bar or no tables, then you can be seated in the upstairs section as well. Yard House has several beers on tap, of which is their own House Beers. The House IPA and the Noble Pursuit were good, and you can get a beer in a half yard size for under $20. They also have local beers on tap, and you can get most beers in the Half Yard size. We didn't order cocktails, but we saw some go by and they looked great. The Pink Dragon and Smoked Old Fashioned are smoked table-sized and the presentation was beautiful. They sounded good too, I'll have to get one next time I'm there. I've been to a few other Yard Houses before, and I always love getting the poke nachos. They give you a lot of tuna and the chips are always fresh and crispy. I plan to stop by here before every event at Capital One Arena. I don't think you can ever go wrong with Yard House. Make sure you make their happy hour. I think it's weekdays from 3pm-6pm. Call to make sure. I ordered the Shrimp as appetizers. I think its called the rocket shrimp or something but it was okay, The flavor was there, it was sweet, creamy, savory. Just overpriced in my opinion. For the small amount of shrimp, $14 was not worth it. I also wasn't a fan of the rice on the bottom. I love the presentation, but i think the cooked the rice with Rice Vinegar/wine which gave it a tangy taste I did not like. Also, I wished they used gluttonous sticky rice instead of the weird soggy rice they had. Its better with sticky rice... I got the Spicy Jambalaya and it was really good too. Definitely too much to finish on my own, I wish I had shared it. If you want a good fill and a bang for your buck, this dish is it. Its spicy, creamy, has shrimp, crawfish, sausage... The only criticism I have is the wierd dry pieces of fish in it. They could do without the fish, and more the shrimp. The fish was such a wierd texture, I thought I was eating chicken breasts. Overall, I love all the yard house chains. I've typically had the poke nachos and the chicken nachos (subsitute with fries) in the past. I decided to try something new in a new Yard House location. We were told the wait was 20 minutes and ended up being seated in more like 5-ish. Ayeee! We ordered 3 appetizers (sliders, boneless buffalo wings, and a chicken nacho). All were 1/2 off. I wasn't crazy about the buffalo wings - pass on that. But yooooo those sliders were bomb!! I could have eaten all 4 by myself as a meal and low key wish I didn't have to share them as agreed. I think it was the hawaiian buns that made them delectable. The nacho was good too...really big. Our bill ended up being under $30 which was crazy cheap for all we ordered. We ended up taking half of the nacho and wings home. We didn't drink, but they did have a fairly large selection of beverages and beers on tap. I would definitely return. We had to wait 20 mins but the wait wasn't bad we sat down indoors and was notified via text. The service was quick, food came out HOT. The food quality and service varies from different locations. We stopped in 5/18/21 just a few minutes shy of 12:00 on the dot. There was about 4 tables with patrons, all under 3. One colleague ordered the full size Kale and Caesar salad, also dry, dressing on the size. It came out perfectly. Another colleague ordered the Cob salad, with chicken, avocado the side. He received it with avocado on the side but no dressing. We thought the Kale and Caesar salad was served a little warm with absolutely no crunch to the salad. The Cobb salad didn't taste like that. Weird! We waited about 20 minutes for the server to come back to comp one of the appetizers (we had a coupon). We had to flag her down, knock on the window to get her attention from the outside because once she dropped off our salads we never saw her again. Finally left the place a few minutes before 2. While there, I made sure to look at the cleanliness and habits of the employees. Of course, I could have explored the billion other brands, but when you find perfection there really is no need to move on. I paired my perfect beer with a brisket sandwich which was stacked with succulent, juicy meat. Yum! The bread was toasted to a a crunchy, golden brown.
